Karachi Cuisine in Croydon

The food was absolutely amazing, especially their nihari which was a 10/10! The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, but honestly, it didn't bother me too much because the food was totally worth it. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend trying their delicious dishes!

Went for Ramadan Bufffet very high quality level food.

Went today for dinner/Aftari with family. Spend £124.00. We Would rate it 1 star. Waste of money. No taste. Over rated on google. I believe google reviews are not genuine. Haleem is not a haleem it was like a lentils no taste. Naan bread very poor quality. Every other dish was without any flavour or quality.

If we could give ten stars for service would still not be enough … today Farhan was amazing, we were late for Iftar and they had given our reservation to someone since we were a no show …. Thanks to the traffic chaos but despite us being a bit annoyed he made sure to keep his calm and make it up and quickly arranged for a table so we could start our Iftar while we waited for the actual table …. Later also made sure we were satisfied with the food and tried to make up for the mishap which was already covered with their Amazing food as always … it’s one Iftar we never miss each year. We have been coming here for the past seven or so years and it’s still has the same amazing food

If you are from Karachi and want the same taste of Nihari and Biryani, this is the place in London. Food is not bad but service is pathetic especially during Ramadan buffet. I do not recommend Ramadan buffet which is expensive compared to the service and dishes they offer. Most of the time the vessels are empty and you have to wait for refills. When you ask the staff for a refill they rudely reply that it's coming or they ignore you. They overbook the buffet regardless of your reservation and deposit, they make you wait outside to be called or tell you to take your deposit if you can't wait. They charge kids (under 10) full buffet price which I have not seen anywhere else when we asked about it, they said people lie about their children age. I don't know which parents do this but they shouldn't charge kids the same price as adults. Overall Ramadan buffet is worthless but if you want Karachi style Nihari or Biryani then this is the place but don't go during Ramadan month or for buffet.

We CALLED & MESSAGED them ON GOOGLE CHAT to ask for the buffet price for 2 adults & a 6 years old kid. They replied that £19.95 for adults and the kid will be on HALF PRICE of the adults. As you can see our "Draft Receipt" they took full price for just a 6 year old smaller one. Their excuse was " MY CHILD IS ABOVE MY WAIST SO THEY CHARGED FULL".😂 😂Thank you so much for measuring height of the kid perfectly. I appreciate for the measurement.😂 So, they are comparing fathers and kids height which I heard for first time in the UK. Thanks

Recently went here for iftar. The food was really delicious and fresh with decent amount of food items to choose from. The chicken biryani was the standout item for me. It was rich in spices and flavour. The starters were really nice too. As well as, the customer service was really impressive too. They definitely deserve 5 star, thanks

We had our iftar buffet there. The variety of dishes were amazing, reasonably priced and the food was absolutely delicious. They even had free drinks included in the price of buffet which is cheaper than JRC Global or any other buffet place. The staff was extra attentive, helpful and Faisal there was brilliant. I wish they could do this throughout the year. Highly recommend the food and we had a phenomenal experience.

Was going down London Road the other day and saw an Iftar Buffet banner outside this restaurant, thought I'd try it in Ramadan... Guess what! First of all, very courteous waiters and staff in general, to be honest, probably one of the best I’ve come across. Amazing ambience, and what tops it all off is that the food is what I'm so used to enjoying in the streets of Karachi! An array of options in the Iftar buffet and they also have a Salah Room, didn't know that... I was planning on going to the small mosque in front of the restaurant just before opening fast, but the convenience of having a Salah Room in the restaurant? A.W.E.S.O.M.E.! Been there every single day of Ramadan so far for Iftar, by far the best Iftar experience I've ever had in a restaurant. Will definitely be coming here again!

Loved the Iftar Buffet, the biryani was to die for. Authentic taste and excellent service. Everything was restocked quickly. We were served by Nofil who was amazing and took great care of us. 100% recommend

Went here for iftar with mates. Food was decent but could have more variety. Tbf this was the iftar buffet though and not their normal menu. I was hoping for some Karachi special dishes. The dishes served in the buffet themselves were good not amazing. The service was amazing. The lads working here deserve a lot of credit. Over all a fairly decent night of Pakistani food.

The food was excellent but the service was very slow. In response to the comment from the owner, Although it was a buffet, staff was too slow to replenish the dishes when they finished. We ordered a few cold drinks and had to wait for 15 mins. Usually when you go to a buffet, the staff key an eye out for empty plates on the table and collect them swiftly. Here customers have to ask them. The layout was too congested for any one to move about without bumping into someone.

Iftar buffet was tasty however I think they can use less oil in the food as the containers looked pretty full with it. Nice variety of dishes however, all of which were refilled quickly. chicken biryani is definitely the top dish. Amazing halwa puri, friendly staff and well-priced menu

When a person is fasting, most foods you break your fast with taste good. However this tasted so bad. Salans were tasteless and drenched in oil. Fish tikka tasted rubbish. Lamb biryani was ok. Waste of money.

One of the worst experience I ever had at this restaurant staff is not trained owner is very rude even they charge one year old baby for buffet . Do not go there other best options like dawat restaurant spice village etc these restaurants treat you like vip not recommended

Found this restaurant on google had nice reviews so wanted to give it, this is the best Pakistani buffet I have had so far. Everything for freshly cooked and grilled. We had biryani , lamb karahi and nihari which was out of this world. Wow food remind me taste of Pakistan very delicious, the price was only £20 per head for buffet with 30+ dishes to choose from. Amazing excellent service for sure I’ll come back again.

I checked out this award winning spot for their iftar buffet. £20 gets you a lot and pretty much includes all the desi favorites. Usually buffet food isn't great but this was actually flavorful with food quality meats and freshly made - this really stood out and at no point was anything finished up from the buffet, it was regularly replenished. My favorites were the biryani, Keema, achari karahi. From the starters the Seekh kebab was lovely, could taste a nice smokeyness from it. I had higher expectations from the pasta as it looked good but just tasted too sweet imo. Karak chai was a let down but their mango lassi - pretty much had a full jug of it. They also do a paan I recommend trying. For £20 you're getting a lot in terms of variety but also good quality. Loved the full Pakistani atmosphere there too.

Excellent restaurant, Delicious everything, very friendly staff. Slightly expensive but who is not these days?! We used to visit before lockdown as well, it was ok-ok back then but now looks like they came back with a bang! - kids & wife happy, so am I 😀

Food is decent but service is just poor. You have to keep reminding the waiters to bring out the dishes. Eg. You’ll get the curry but no rice… Wasn’t a great experience to be honest

Have been a regular to this place and had lunch and dinner number of times but the taste , quality and quantity of the food has been on the downward trend. Used to love this place and drive around more than an hour from my place for dining here but recent experiences are disappointing. Visited again today . Chicken bihari is not cooked well, Lamb biryani is too dry and chilli Panneer had no taste . The fish tikka is ok but overall really disappointed with this type of food served recently. Not to mention the quantity that has been surprisingly less compared to earlier. Service is good but have to think again after the recent visits .

We have come a few times here and always find the service impeccable. Last week we had nihari and mixed grill and lamb karahi all was very nice. I signed up to the loyalty card. Today I accidently placed an online order for pick up. I called and explained and they kindly added a credit to the loyalty card for the amount which I am grateful for. You don't really get service like this anymore.

Had to write this review out of principle as the amount isn't really the issue. Apparently they 'have' to charge a bag fee for all collection orders. Not advised when making the order over the phone. 20p per 'paper' bag. I was invoiced for 2 bags despite only being given 1. When I told them I have bags just outside in the car and don't need a paper bag, the server said they have to charge. I pointed out that they need to communicate this at the time of ordering but he didn't seem to see the issue Have been coming here for many years since they opened as my family have always liked the food... The service has always been good... But this was disappointing. Edit: yes I was refunded 20p as I was given 1 bag instead of 2. I wrote I was Invoiced for 2 bags, which is true. I did not write that I paid for 2 bags as you had only provided 1 anyway. Besides, I did not want any bags. I asked why I could not use my own bag and was told you had to charge and hence was still charged 20p. There is no law that says the customer has to pay for a bag if they don't want one. And the law you have quoted applies to plastic bags, not paper bags in England. What is dishonest is the fact that you are forcing a bag charge onto a customer who has asked to use their own bag, but the server said this was not possible. You will lose alot more customers over such a dishonest and sneaky practice. Honestly, such a distasteful, immature and ignorant response. Re re-read my review and you will understand what the issue is. What you 'should' have done was refund 40p and taken the bag that I did not want away.

Exciting and authentic dishes; pleasantly spiced with depth of flavour and robust heat. Excellent suggestions and service from Mahad. Would heartily recommend trying something different here, you won’t be disappointed.

We were torn between two places to celebrate my daughter's sixteenth last Saturday. My heart was for Karachi for some reason and I convinced her to go for it. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. The service was top notch; absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and well mannered. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. Karachi is Croydon's hidden gem. My daughter and her friends had loads of fun; her 16th couldn't have been more fun and at the end, one of her friend's thanked her for discovering such a restaurant. I've already started telling family and friends about the Karachi. I will 100% recommend this place. We're definitely going back.

Where do I start?!?!?! Yesterday was the first time my partner and I visited. We aren't too familiar with Pakistani food. The menu had a vast selection of meats/vegetables/curry/fish, etc. Our server Nofil did a wonderful job of helping us select our dinner choices and had a vast amount of knowledge about the menu. Nofil also assured us that the kitchen would take extra measures accommodating my partner's nut allergies. We ordered the mixed meat-skillet platter, Nihari with Nan ( lamb stew on shank), fresh squeezed juice (made to order), tandoori fish Tikka and Chai tea. It was ALL very lovely and fresh. The food was well seasoned and tender. The loyalty point/membership that Nofil encouraged us to sign up to is a very good thing. By signing up, we managed to get 500 free points and earned an additional 100 points with our first meal. For every 1000 points you earn £10 to use towards your next meal and, if not, can be accumulated and redeemed whenever you so chose. Food and service were SO good. We will be returning tonight!

Absolutely love coming for dinner and will keep on coming. The samosas are onion bhaji is to die for. Love the Lamb Chops, butter chicken and the garlic naans always has so much flavour. Can't wait for the next visit.

First time visitors to Karachi Cuisine. Found the place, food and service spot on. We tried mix grill, nihari, chicken biryani and fish fry is yummy. The tandoori naan brings back memories from Karachi. Highly recommended karachi bun kabab. Overall lives up to the name it is Karachi's cuisine.

Epic flavours, came here to try a few dishes. We were very happy and I absolutely loved the lamb karahi!

The place was quite while we went for lunch. Found parking on side road as it was Sunday no restriction. All orders were served quick enough just the lamb nihari would take around 1 hour to cook so we ordered as soon as we arrived. Starters were good. Lamb nihari is a must try. They had desserts too. Worth a visit.

Best chicken vindaloo iv ever had in my life..So fresh and absolutely delicious 😋..Will be ordering again from here..How ever ordered it again and was very disappointed

This was my 2nd time going to Karachi Cuisine with my family. Unlike other Pakistani restaurants, Karachi Cuisine are not shy in showing their Pakistani side, the ambience in the restaurant is great. Also Mahad was a great waiter and I send special regards to him. Food was delicious and would recommend this place over the usual favourites in Tooting.

FANTASTIC, ordered on UBER and the food was fresh, delicious and generous. thankyou Faisal and the whole restatraunt for being awesome, the packing of the food was well handled was very impressed. Will definately order from here again.

After seeing the reviews I intended to visit Karachi Cuisine. Upon entering the restaurant it looked very clean with ambient music which gave me a positive outlook about this cuisine. However, when i ordered the paya with naan and biriyani rice the food did not taste good. The paya had no real flavour except of the human hair i found in it, the biriyani rice was hard like it has been in the open for sometime and they just microwaved it. Not only that we had to request the staff 2 to 3 times for anything we needed. I mean there was more staff than customers and still they were struggling to fulfil the needs of their customers. I had to ask one of the waiter 4x for an orange juice. Not happy.

Update: My favourite dish here is the chicken korma (meat on the bone version). Complemented by their well made tadka dall. It's my favourite restaurant in the area. Tasty food in a nice setting. The lamb burger (yes they also do burger and chips) was very good, as was the biriani. Will go back to try their authentic specialty dishes 🍜

Really pleasantly surprised, food was very tasted and fresh. We normally go to Dawaat but we thought we'd give this place a try, and it didn't disappoint. Service was impeccable, we'd definitely go back.

Absolutely delicious food. On the pricier side for take away curry but ultimately worth it. Especially enjoyed the Peshawari Chapli Kebab and Sweet Naan.

Fantastic Pakistani restaurant selling delicious traditional food. Great service. We normally eat out in Tooting but thought we’d give Karachi Cuisine a try in Norbury, and we were not disappointed. Very reasonably priced too.

Mixed Grill Platter was really tasty and flavourful. The Nihari with maghaz was to die for. Overall the food and service all were excellent.

Just had halwa poori from the breakfast menu for the first time and it was delicious and perfectly made with good portion sizes. The staff were also very accommodating with my sons food allergies. Great food and service, will definitely return. 👍
