This place has stirred my interest for quite a while now as I pass it enroute to work every day. I'm so glad that we finally got to visit it today. We travel to east and central Europe quite regularly and love the old style coffee shops and restaurants. We were delighted to find one practically on our own doorstep! The place has a real retro/shabby chic eclectic vibe. The food is good and wholesome and the owner is a fabulous lady who shows a genuine interest in her customers. The place is so cosy we were reluctant to leave. There is a little 'oasis' at the rear of the restaurant which is beautiful in sunny weather. I'm sure winter months in the restaurant are great and we definitely intend to find out. Apparently the 'curry nights' with bring your own option are once again in the pipeline, so can hardly wait for that! This place is certainly worth a try, but take time to say hi to the owner also!

Visted this lovely quirky, retro, funky cafe after passing it for many a year, I live only a few miles away, an I loved the laid back vibe of the place. It's just enchanting. Our host Sylvia was a wealth of information an so friendly, it just added to the charm. The latte coffees were brilliant an I had a hearty bagel with bacon an a poached egg. My food was so clean, without a hint of grease. My wife had the tomato an basil soup which was finished with a side portion of wheaten bread. None was left. So that praise indeed. Wish I had of came years ago. It's the sort of place we love while on Irish holidays an Kangaroos Tie There Own Shoelaces was on our door step all alone.

I had just finished research at the Milltown Cemetery and was headed to the City Cemetery when I came across this hidden gem of a coffee shop. It was after the lunch hour but all I really wanted was a cold drink and a scone. Met the owner and had a lovely chat about my research.

Lovely and quirky cafe opposite the City Cemetery, another superb spot to visit. The coffee was excellent, home-based food spot on and all brought together with the very pleasant and genuine owner. Ignore the idiot who scored this place a single star all because it takes cash only; head over with a few coins in your pocket. You won't need too many of them!

Popped in on a Rainey Wednesday to be greeted with such warmth & welcoming atmosphere. Full of quirky little trinkets and mismatched furniture the place is funky but homely. The steaming hot bowel of tomato soup arrived with beautiful wheaten bread and was absolutely delicious. The little blue tea pot and maple syrup tin of brown sugar just set the scene while I read my book. An absolute perfect little lunch, cosy & warm, sitting in the window while the rain beat down...thank you.

Otro caf ??

This cafe is one of Belfasts hidden gems!! I found it completely by accident when touring the Falls Road on a visit from Liverpool with my Nan for her 80th Birthday the week before Christmas. The decor is very vintage inspired as is the music that was playing when we were there, it's like sitting in your nans living room, so cosy and as it's situated on the main road you can enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by. The food aswell was lovely - I had scrambled eggs and bacon on toast and the cakes were amazing - my nan had a cherry scone and I had a chocolate shortbread tray bake. The coffee was delicious and I had a pot of green tea aswell - it was excellent value for money. We met two members of staff during our visit one of which was Sylvie the owner and it was like chatting to friends you'd known your whole life. Sylvie gave us a massive hug as we were leaving, just proving how absolutely lovely the people of Belfast are. There's a bus stop more or less opposite the cafe that has you back in Belfast city centre in about 10-15 mins. Im already planning a trip back to Belfast and will definitely be stopping by again - Wishing all the staff a great 2018!!

This is an easy spot to miss however, I went on a friend's recommendation and thought the food was lovely and the coffee was as good as I've had. It's really cosy, comfortable and inviting and I'll definitely try to go back however, it's unfortunately not open on Saturdays which I really hope they'll change.

Stumbled across this coffee shop as it's easy to miss. Very warm welcome on a cold, wet morning. Excellent coffee which was hot; unlike the lukewarm offerings that are often served up. The complementary biscuit was a nice surprise. Great quirky décor.

This is a lovely little cafe on the Falls Roas in Belfast - well worth a visit. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was very welcoming and what can I say about the decor?! It's just fantastic, the woman who owns the place has created this haven all by herself, very talented, the attention to detail everywhere is amazing. If ever you get the chance, pop in here, it was a lovely surprise and it faces the beautiful gardens of Belfast City cemetary. There's a bus that stops right outside from city centre (a few of the number 10's I think) that take about 5 -10mins and or you can park in the streets beside the cafe.

Ross's Cafelocation-icon37 Montgomery Street Below Ross's Auction House, just off May StreetOther cuisines

I visit Ross's Cafe regularly on trips to Belfast from London. It is a consistently exceptional, established, owner managed independent cafe and my "go to" cafe of choice when visiting Belfast. It has a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with lovely furniture, decor and lighting and is a refreshing change from the chain cafe experience. John, the owner is a highly experienced chef and welcoming host and all the staff are very friendly, efficient and professional. I visited on the 6th December for lunch and had the fish soup. It was sensational. Perfect. I've never tasted a better fish soup....anywhere. The menu is always excellent, not too extensive and regularly changed with lovely fresh ingredients.. Think delicious boeuf bourguignon with fresh crusty bread, freshly prepared meatballs in a wonderful sauce and spaghetti and also on the menu last Friday was a delicious Spanish Tortilla. The coffee is always excellent. The prices are always very reasonable for the wonderful items offered. I really cannot recommend Ross's Cafe highly enough.

I called for lunch yesterday and was thrilled with the whole experience. From the moment you arrive the staff are super friendly menus are brought promptly and there were delicious specials on the board very reasonably priced. I had a gorgeous ploughmans platter beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The Fry that my dinning partner had was so dry and tasty that he wouldnt share he raved about it long after we left. Apple pie finished off a wonderful experience and I certainly have no hesitation in recommending this for
