Kamsang Takeaway in Scarborough

Order food at 5.30pm. Said it would be one hour. Phoned up after 1.5 hours said it will be 2 hours. Finally arrived after 2.5 hours. I know it's Saturday night and they are busy, but why say one hour when they mean at 2.5? Way too long 2.5 hours! Food nice, but time waiting unacceptably, especially as we phone at 5.30pm.

Ordered take out chicken and beef curry, salt and pepper ribs and egg fried rice, lovely food would highly recommend, thank you

Not one of the best takeaways chicken in chow Maine was very chewy and not nice

Sadly we didn't enjoy our meal this evening. I had crispy chilli beef which came in a strange red very sweet sauce with little chilli heat, my son had szechuan chicken which he didn't enjoy either. He said the chicken was very dry and tasted old. My prawn crackers weren't crispy they tasted stale. All together it was very disappointing.

Rude, arrogant and part of the order was missing(after calling as it was over an hour late and had to collect even though we paid for delivery). The food tasted great but as the rice was missing from the order, when i rang to inform them i just got excuses and the phone put down on me 3 times it ruined the experience. Dont order from here if you want a complete order on time... absolutely disgusted.

Not bad had better. You cannot have a beef curry without killing the cow.

Used Kamsang Takeaway many many times and I'm very particular about food and while I do rate it, the customer service is appalling. Lied to several times tonight about delivery and not for the first time. Called for the fourth time after the delivery did not appear (and I can say i was very polite) but had phone put down on me. This experience is for a regular customer so heaven knows what others will face. End of a loyal customers business - not good!.

We ordered a takeaway from here, we normally use Wing Hing which is delicious and great service. On opening our takeaway we realised they’d mixed our order up, we got seaweed instead of egg fried rice! I phoned to explain and was told to go and collect it myself as the driver had finished? I explained that I’d had a drink and couldn’t drive(we live 5 miles away) I was told there was nothing they could do, then when I asked about a refund I got told I could have a free egg fried rice next time! Whilst looking at the seaweed in front of me I said “we wouldn’t be using them again” to which the owner called me mean! Really? Good service should be what customers expect not hope for.

Ordered Singapore noodles and satay... Having had this meal multiple times before we have fair understanding of basic flavour profiles even taking into account slight differences in chefs and styles.Both had SAME sauce which was a basic curry sauce ,??Chios were frozen but obviously cooked or reheated more than once... Very unpleasant experience

Completely forgot our order, 3 hours later phoned to see where it is and if we can collect, the lady just kept saying ok bye bye. Very rude service and can’t even place and order lol happy new year.

We are regular users of this takeaway and the food is always good but tonight warrants a special mention. Our food arrived earlier than expected. On inspection, we realised that one of our starters was missing. A quick phone call resolved this and our missing item arrived within 10 minutes. The overall quality of the food was superb. Highly recommended.

Order was wrong when got it to car so took it back the staff said that the order was correct the staff seemed very rude and laughed about it when home food horrible and was incorrect will not be going again also upset stomach after eating

Rang the order through but still had to wait ages for the food and was then told they dont take card payments, only cash. I wonder why!!!!!

One of the worst meals I have had. Re heated chips, asked for BBQ ribs and received ribs in oil, the meat on the bones was dry and overcooked, wouldn’t surprise me if they were re heated same as the chips. Won’t be going there again

Tried this for the first time on a busy Saturday evening. The food was excellent, took a little longer than advised for delivery but well worth the wait will definitely use again. Thank you for an enjoyable meal.

A friend of mine recommended this Kam Sang having eaten lots of takeaways from there. So good I've bought from there several times since. The set meals are substantial and include plenty of starters. Lots of use of fresh ginger and spices. The sauces don't go gloomy when they're cold. Important because there's always enough left to eat up the next day. You don't get a friendly chat here if that's what you want, because they are always busy busy busy.

The food is really good but customer service is terrible, they never know where our address is and got spoke to swearing and rude to over the phone, we have ordered chips twice and never got them within the order. Lost customers because of this it's a shame because I do love the food but the customer service messes us around.

From out of town and was recommended to eat from here. I was not disappointed with he food. In fact I'd go as far as saying it was the best Chinese I've eaten out of my home city!

We waited 2hours 20 mins for delivery, the driver then rang & was at the wrong address despite the lady on the phone repeating the address back to me twice, half the order missing & the Dead Sea has less salt in it than the chips here, curry sauce flavourless and the chicken toast was the worst Iv had

Poor service ordered special curry with chips and prawn crackers When i got home i had a tasteless special foo yung not what i ordered at all. Rung back the staff were very rude. On top of that the chips were very greasy and stale and the prawn crackers where soft. Worse Chinese takeout ive ever had only got 1 star as there is no option to give zero.

Best shredded chilli beef anywhere

We decided to have a Chinese Meal for a change, and we asked where was the best Chinese in Scarborough and we were told this was one of the best. We went to this Restaurant and ordered our Meals ,The place was clean and tidy and there was a few people having meals already, the service was very good and the food was okay a lttle more than we normally pay but it was well cooked and we enjoyed it!

Worst service I've had from a takeaway will not be using again

Had dinner here before a gig at the Open Air Theatre after we could not get into an Italian restaurant, so glad we didn't! Got in just as it opened and a wee bit worried no one else was there, however, within the space of quarter of an hour, the place was buzzing!The service and food were both excellent and also the friendliness of all of the staff.Will definitely re-visit when in Scarborough again.

Went to the Sunday Lunch buffet and thought it was delicious. There was 4 starter dishes and at least 6 main dishes plus sides of rice and noodles. The ribs were so tender. There is a menu displayed on the window of the restaurant showing what wifi be available that week. I'd be happy to go again.

One word..... disgusting. We ordered Singapore fried rice, garlic & chilli chicken, spare ribs. Firstly there were 5 tiny ribs with no meat & no flavour just lots of partially cooked onions. Secondly the fried rice...omg it was boiled greasy rice. When the dish was emptied, the Amoy of grease was vomit inducing. Kamsang, do everybody a favour & close the doors asap. You are disgrace to Asian food

we had a lovely time here celebrating our granddaughters 18th birthday. the staff were very courteous and the food was first class.

The Kan sang was very good i went there with my partner and another couple and me and the another couple had a meal for three and my partner had steak and was very nice and service was great.

Absolutely delicious, especially for the price!! Will definitely be returning. The fact that they do home delivery is perfect for a chilled night at home. The delivery man was polite enough and the food was perfectly hot for us. Extremely tasty!

This used to be a cracking takeaway but the food quality has dropped somewhat. Staff are friendly enough but the place could do with an upgrade. Sometimes people say better the devil you know but I know there are better locally.
