As always great food service brilliant so friendly

We ordered the veg spring rolls, prawn crackers and green Thai curry. The green Thai curry was unnecessarily spicy (even for an Indian) although the other 2 dishes were alright. The staff were warm and friendly and the restaurant itself was nice, but we were a bit disappointed in the food, especially given the great reviews.

Popped in about a month ago as we were passing. Pleasant enough restaurant with friendly staff with below average quality food, the beef in the dish I had was chewy and poor quality, and the texture of the chicken skewers was stringy and dry. The fried rice side dish came in a bowl so hot in had solidified the rice in the base when they microwaved it, and the noodles were stuck together and congealed. Not somewhere I'd return to also it is cash only with the broken card machine excuse. I'm probably being generous giving 3 stars!

Very nice food to takeaway. Staff were friendly and helpful and let us sit with a beer while we waited for our food to be cooked. This place is CASH only and also reasonably expensive. ~£70 for 3 people

Great service and overall atmosphere, but the food is just passing trade style. I had the Panang goong yai and at £19.95 you'd expect fresh king prawns not frozen, they were like chewing gum 😕

Staff were friendly and squeezed us in as we hadn’t booked in advanced. Staff were quick to get us drinks and to take our order which was fine. Got the sharer starter for 2 people and was disappointed as they literally gave us only 2 of each item so was the bare minimum. Also the starter was quick to come out but was cold meaning that it must have been lying around a while. When we ordered the mains we ordered soup and stir fry with rice. They rice was fine but the soup was of poor quality and taste nothing like an authentic Thai soup should do. The seafood that came with the soup was chewy and again of poor quality. The stir fry was very oily and didn’t come with many vegetables and a small amount of meat. Overall the quality of the food was poor however was and good atmosphere and the staff very polite and friendly.

Absolutely lovely food and atmosphere and friendly staff. We were welcomed into the restaurant even with 40 minutes til closing. The staff were professional and friendly. The food arrived at the right time and was so delicious, we were glad there were many vegan options. It was tasty and hot and well presented. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely loved my experience at the Kam Thai restaurant! The food was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I can't recommend the Thai Pancake enough; it's a delightful homemade creation by the chef and a truly unique and cleverly adapted dessert that you won't want to miss. 😊

Food was pretty good, just incredibly expensive for takeaway. About 50% more expensive than I would normally pay for a good quality Thai takeaway.

Had the pleasure of eating here on Saturday 7th October. We booked the day before and I would recommend booking as the restaurant was really busy. Staff were super friendly and attentive from the minute we walked in to when we left despite it being so busy. We chose the set menu for two and the food was delicious, although we didn’t manage to finish it all. Would definitely recommend.

Had an evening meal last night. We had the set menu for 2 people. The food was very fresh and tasted amazing. The green Thai curry and vegetables were my favourite. Service was good nothing was too much trouble. We would come again if we visit Whitby in the future.

This was the best of our meals during our 3 night stay in Whitby. It was recommended to us or else we would never have seen it within the railway station. We rang to book and were advised it is cash only so came prepared. The wines, starters and mains were all truly excellent and the service was very friendly. Don’t miss it if you want a change from fish and chips.

Food was excellent, very tasty & food selection of dishes. Boisterous party next to us and manager was really professional, asking them to keep the noise down. Made us feel better. Kam is very approachable & him & his team offer a 5 star customer service. Would definitely recommend eating here whilst you visit Whitby. We called in and waited in the pub nearby. It is always a sign of a good restaurant when it is very busy. They were so helpful and the tofu dish was scrumptious. The food exceeded expectations and I would recommend the golden parcels.

Located within Whitby Railway Station we visited twice during our recent stay. A warm welcome was offered, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The selection isn't huge, but the quality is very good. On each occasion we had starters, mains, house wine & beer. As mentioned after our initial visit we decided to revisit on our final night. One minor annoyance, the service whilst attentive was perhaps too keen with minimal pause between the courses, I am sure that will be remedied.

We walking in on the off chance of an available table and was offered and high table for two near the toilets and door. As it was Saturday night we were grateful to be accommodated. We ordered our starters and mains to share to add variety. We shared vegetable spring rolls which came with sweet chilli sauce, these were ok, hot but similar to the frozen variety. The chicken satay was lovely chicken but the sauce although tasty was very runny, would have been better thicker. The most disappointing was the Pad Thai was had no favour and bland. I ordered a cheesecake dessert, It had clearly come out of an Iceland (or similar box) still cold in the middle from defrosting, bland and I would definitely not recommend. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu. The restaurant is situated at the entrance to Whitby train station. There were a stream of people coming in the worse for wear of drink wanting to use the facilities, it was not refused by management or staff and the went to use the loos. My hubby went to use the toilets after a few, and found the facilities disgusting. The staff is the restaurant we’re very friendly and accommodating, unfortunately I would not recommend the food. Maybe it was our choices and we will never know………..

Booked in at short notice and they were happy to accommodate us. The food was excellent and so was the service. They really do their utmost to make sure it's an enjoyable experience for you. We will definitely be coming here again next time we visit Whitby.

Average food I would say and quite expensive. Service was lovely and a nice menu and clean place. Just not quite as good as I've had before but still nice. Coconut pancakes were yummy!

Very busy over the bank holiday weekend, luckily we’d booked ahead, cash only unless you could transfer funds straight into their bank account. Food was okay, staff friendly. Panang Goong Yai was delicious, the Jungle Curry was a bit disappointing though.

What a beautiful place the food was outstanding, the service was quick and efficient and the staff were lovely and at a reasonable price. If you want something different other then fish and chips I would highly recommend, would come time and time again if I did not live in Lincoln!

We had an excellent meal at Kamthai Thai during our visit to Whitby. We showed up on a busy night without a reservation and were grateful they could squeeze us in after a 20 minute wait. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Everything we ordered came out perfectly.

We did not arrive in Whitby thinking that we would have amazing Thai, but here we sat, having one of the best Thai dinners that I have had in a decade. I asked for spicy, and they delivered. Such an unexpected and pleasant experience!

Great Thai restaurant, staff are pleasant and professional, the service was very good. Good amount of choice on the menu, our currys were generous and tasty. The only down side was the seating, we were shown to a table for two that was far too close to the next table, we could hear their conversation and they could probably hear ours. The table was next to the toilet and we could hear the hand dryer for most of our meal. We appreciate it was a busy Saturday night but it was uncomfortable so we left without coffee and dessert. We'd love to go back but hopefully sit elsewhere.

We visited as a family of four with two young children. The food was amazing, very tasty. And all the staff were lovely and very attentive, we’d definitely visit again.

Delicious, but they take away a little of the Thai flavor, to adapt it to local tastes.

Booked a table for 8pm, arrived at 19:55, was told there would be a 20-30 minute delay. Returned at 20:35, waited a further 15 minutes for a table. Food was average, nothing out of this world, however for the price of the dishes, unfortunately we wouldn’t rush back. Such a shame, plenty of potential, focus on food quality and service and you’re on to a winner.

What a beautiful cosy place. We forgot to book and they accommodated us with no trouble. Kind and descret service not too fussy or uncomfortable. Was on holiday. It was my husbands 70th birthday yesterday [ 11th ]. Sorted my booking a few weeks beforehand as it was a surprise for my husband. I arranged with the staff for balloons and banners etc on the table. WOW couldn't of asked for more. They did a brilliant job. We came here for the vegan set menu, at a reasonable price of just under £20 per person. The food was tasty and fast, and for the price you got a large amount which would be sufficient for even the hungriest people (like me). Granted, the food wasn’t the best I have had, but we didn’t come here for Michelin star. The service staff were friendly and attentive, without being too intense and the complimentary brandy at the end of the meal was a nice touch. They dropped a point by being cash-only but this was only a minor inconvenience with a cash machine a short walk away and also the location not being the best, as you are basically on the station platform. But this didn’t really take away from the experience much. All in all, a nice meal which in my opinion exceeded it’s price point and I’d come again. It’s not the most authentic Thai food I have had, but it was tasty nonetheless.

This restaurant was the highlight of my travel to Whitby, the food was spectacular! We came here on a Saturday during Whitby Goth Weekend and were impressed that the restaurant was able to get us a table in just ten minutes despite being very busy. The staff were really helpful. The menu here is really great, having diversity in its dishes and offering a great vegan selection. There's even fish and chips for people who don't like the traditional cuisine.

Bad service, the pad thai was really sweet, when we tell the waitress she said “I already told you it’s sweet and you say it’s fine” she don’t care about our complaint. Other thai restaurant pad thai is sweet but not really sweet like this restaurant. And the price is really expensive for this kind of bad taste! £93+ for 2 people (2 starters, 4 main , 2 rice, 2 drinks) we didn’t finish all our food and just left. Not worth it at all!!

i eat a lot of thai food in uk and this is the worse thai restaurant i ever eat. bad service, we order 1 pad thai and the waitress (uk girl) told us it's sweet, me and my friend ok with it because other thai restautant pad thai is a bit sweet as well. but when we try our pad thai it's really sweet like they mix up the sugar and salt. when we complaint to the waitress about our food she act like she don't care at all because she already told us it's sweet and it's our mistakes. me and my friend did't finish our food, pay and then just go out. we did not care about the expensive price but THE SERVICE WAS REALLY BAD
