Kam Sing in Ceredigion

Ordered takeaway. Told us would be 30 mins 1 hour 11mins later and I’m still waiting. Awful customer service all they had to say “if receipt isn’t in our kitchen it must of left” “yes the food left half an hour ago” Awful. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Pretty bland dishes, not much meat in the noodles and the sweet and sour sauce is really bizarre, tasting and looking nothing like what you would expect.

Everything we ordered was beautiful, massive portions. The duck pancakes were honestly the best duck pancakes we’ve had from a Chinese! Delivery was said 1 hour but we received our food within half an hour! Deffo recommend!

Noodles were dry, prawn cracker burnt, egg fried rice brown and tasted nothing like egg fried rice, only edible food was curry sauce, beef chow mein had 6 pieces of beef, sweet and sour sauce was vinegar. Will never go again, stay well away.

How difficult is it to get an order right, fried rice sounds nothing like chow mein, my last blow out before I started a strict diet and they spoiled it 🤬🤬🤬

Vile food! We ordered a selection of meals and none of them tasted nice or had the correct ingredients. Chicken balls were nearly black and got an inch think of uncooked batter in them, pancake roll had carrots and 2 pieces of chicken in them, no prawns or pork. BBQ spare ribs tasted of oxo gravy. Plain chow mien had just noodles no onions or beansprouts in them. What a waste of food, some of it inedible.

Never order duck. They always send it without sauce from what I can tell based from previous reviews. Everything else was okay.

Had a takeaway delivered earlier, not up to usual quality. Tinned chicken, cantonese style was soggy, sauces all tasted the same. Its usually so good feel really let down and hungry. Such a shame.

Staying in the premier inn and fancied a quiet night with a Chinese as the restaurant is closed. Used to order from here all of the time when I lived in Aber (20 years plus ago) have to say food was as good as I remembered. Ordered online, was ready when I got there, hot and very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Great takeaway. Tried the OK sauce, was nice and sweet. The crispy chilli beef was more baked and melted in your mouth. Very meaty. The udon noodles were a nice surprise to be able to order and full of veg and nice lean duck. The chicken balls were very generous. All the meat was good quality no fat or gristle. Sweet and Sour was citrussy but good.

Chicken was very low quality, very chewy. Had food from here before but seems to have dropped standards severely. The rest of the food was okay but very low quality

Food was delivered earlier than we thought which was a bonus because we were starving, but the food wasnt brilliant.

The crispy shredded beef was lovely, but the king po chicken needed longer in the oven as some pieces were not as cooked as they needed to be.

Enjoyed it. The salt and pepper chips weren’t too great but apart from that, an excellent meal.

I bought a meal for two, which included two bowls of chicken and sweetcorn soup. Both my partner and I found this soup foul. It tasted as if there had been no flavouring added to it and it had only touched a chicken three weeks ago. It tasted watery, kind of soapy and bland. I would not recommend and I certainly shall not be buying from here again.

Food quality and service good, however for the first time my order was wrong. Beef in Black Bean Sauce instead of the King Prawn I ordered. Never mind, it was just as tasty.

I had a takeaway from here a month ago, the duck did not come with plum sauce and chow Mein did not come with beansprouts or onion. I decided I was going to give it another go and ordered again, I had a notification saying they had cancelled my order. I called the takeaway and asked why, they said it was because last time I said that the duck was too dry. I explained I was trying to give them another chance and I did not understand why they cancelled my order but they would not let me order regardless. Disappointed. Very petty and unprofessional considering I wanted to spend money there, what happened to the customer is always right?

Food is always amazing but the delivery driver is unnecessarily rude every time, if it’s that you’re delivering to the uni and you don’t like students or whatever just please get a new job mate

I called resturaunt they only gave me a refund once I gave the duck back. I assume they will give it to another customer now. I was not called to be told there was no sauce or ask if I wanted any other type of sauce. My chow mein did not come with bean sprouts or onion which is very disappointing. Not good value for money. The starter selection was very sparse compared to other takeout in the area like hot dumplings and hai yang, very disappointed. I will not be back

Delivery was quick. Food tasted like It had been shoved in the microwave after being sat for weeks, especially the spate ribs - disgusting! No napkins, fortune cookies etc! Waste of £35. Won't be ordering again.

Abhorrent service from the deliverer, already late and rang once, we rang back 3 minutes later due to sorting a house issue, by that time the deliver had already left. We get through to the man and he is “on the other side of town”. 20 minutes later, we ring again, he’s on his way, we get a quick call and say they’re downstairs. Great! We get downstairs and the bouncer of a bar tell us it’s tucked behind a door on a barstool in a busy revenue. Okay, whatever, at least food is here. Oh no, we get upstairs and the food is colder than the deliverer’s attitude. First time anyone in this flat has had a bad experience with this place. Actually upsetting. I would say I’d hope for better next time, but there definitely won’t be a next time.

Got sent a mixed meat vermicelli, ordered a pork. Hate prawns. Had to throw it away. Annoyed

Delivery was fine and the dishes were enjoyable just had to reheat them but that was not a problem shall use them again but not to dine in the restaurant

The food used to be really tasty but I has gone downhill the chicken balls were more or less burnt the chips were soggy had been reheated and cold. Very disappointed

I am very lucky that my home town has quite a lot of Chinese Takeaways and they are all first class. For this reason, I always hesitate to order anywhere else as I don't think I will get the quality I am used to. I took a punt and based on a few reviews I gave Kam Sing a go. It was very close to my hotel which was a double bonus. I ordered the starter for two, special chow mein and sweet and sour Cantonese style. The starter included prawn toast which was nearly overcooked. Probably a few seconds too long in the fryer. The spring rolls and samosas were nicely cooked and the ribs were lovely. One thing I did notice was the bag the prawn toast etc came in was nice and dry. So many times it is seeping with oil. Not on this occasion. So dry in fact the paper bag was able to go into a recycle bin. The Chow mein and sweet and sour was very good. Could have done with a bit more seasoning but to be honest I would rather have less seasoning than too much. All in all a very nice meal. If I was not used to my locals being so good I would give this place 5/5

Food was a little colder than usual, but still great tasting food, good amount and always gets here on time or (usually) early!

They forgot the main part of my meal, which I can say was delivered promptly 20 mins later, but the quality wasn’t great.

Have always steered clear based on previous reviews (fairly old to be fair). However, had the set meal for three plus Singapore Vermicelli, pleasantly surprised, food was very tasty. Not greasy or salty. Would happily visit again.

The delivery time said 8pm which was an hour after my order but at 8pm the delivery time changed to 8:15pm. Be aware the delivery time isn’t accurate and can change.

Not only was it over an hour late, it was actually marked as delivered a full 45 minutes early which lead to some awful customer service over the phone.

Absolutely amazing flavoursome food. I’ve used this restaurant for over 15 years and although I have tried others, this is the best, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

2nd time ordering take away and forgot to send one item. So won’t be ordering from kam sing again...

I ordered curry sauce with my chicken balls which i did not recieve and in the middle of my chicken balls were chicken bits which were pink. I dont eat pink chicken so i had to throw 9 out of 10 in tbe bin

Everything I order from you is utterly gorgeous.... However tonight I'm gutted. Hot and sour soup with meat had one prawn/shrimp, one little bit of beef or pork?? And tofu and veg. Two meat pancake rolls were also lacking in meat, a few shreds in both 😣. Pork balls and thin mixed noodles were perfect, maybe a bit more sweet and sour sauce would be a good idea though. Otherwise always good.

Ordered 3 meals, only one that had any taste was chicken curry but we ordered beef! Delivery was quick enough and food was hot but beef chow mein and sweet and sour chicken was completely tasteless

You’re better off with seafood palace !
