Amazing service, food and what not. Enjoyed dining at this place. I ordered Tofu Tord and Mushroom Tom Yum Soup both were excellent. Both were excellent. Complimentary prawn crackers were also provided. The manager and all staff members/waitresses are amazing. All smiling, attending you again and again to know if we are not liking the food due to any reason. Extra ordinary hospitality from the moment I entered the place till the end. Location wise also best as just opposite to Tunbridge Wells station. I would highly recommend this place and it's food to anyone. Wish could give more than 5 star rating. Actual minute details I have not even mentioned thinking those would appear extra and not matter for some people. But would suggest to go and have best experience here on your own.

Long walk back up to The Spa Hotel, but we'll worth it. Excellent food and service, with lots of friendly smiles. Their food is freshly cooked and generous. Order one main, one veg and one rice dish between two. Many doggie bags were seen leaving. They even gave me cake for my birthday. An excellent venue...and healthy!

Very efficient, helpful, caring and accommodating. The food is always delicious and very quick in being served. Would recommend a visit. The menu is quite extensive making it almost difficult to decide what to eat.

Great spot for authentic and delicious Thai food with an extensive menu, I had the Pad Kra Gai (basil & chili) was very fresh, clean flavour and they had a 'Thai Hot ' option for an unadulterated spice level which was perfect for me. Also the mint and chilli fried rice is an interesting side I'd not had before would recommend too

Due to a change in my work schedule, I haven’t had the opportunity to go to Kai’s Kitchen as frequently as I used to. A recent visit, after their protracted summer closure, made me wonder if there has been a change of ownership… The daughter of the owners, an omnipresent staff member, wasn’t there for the first time in decades. The papaya salad dressing was muted, completely different from the vibrant lime & savoury flavours of the previous version and the Penang curry lacked the lime leaf/ fish sauce highs that used to be such familiar flavours.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food here is delicious. Heartily recommend.

Found this place online a few weeks ago and had lunch there today. If you like beautiful, tasty, authentic Thai food, you must try this place if you haven't already. Highly recommended and delicious!

Great little hidden gem of Tunbridge Wells! The food is fantastic and decently priced. Lots of flavour and aromatics, but be aware, the food can be spicy! If you can't tolerate spice, let the staff know and they should be able to sort you out. I had the Jungle Curry and that thing was HOT, but delicious! Price wise? About £25 per head. Also, be sure to call and book. There's only room for about 30-odd covers and it's popular on most nights.

Excellent food every time, the quality and quantity is perfect, staff very friendly and polite. The tables are a little small when you have 4 people at them, but this is because the restaurant isn't very large, but this doesn't take anything away from the food. Also they do take away, which I will try.

First time to Kai’s, and it won’t be the last. Took a chance and just turned up at 8pm on a Saturday, table found swiftly without fuss. Food was excellent, good sized portions and felt like good value. Large drinks selection to go with it. In fact it was so nice, we forgot to take any photos! Maybe next time!

A highly recommended Thai! It looks so unassuming from the outside and you could mistake it for a regular cafe, but it's a dinner you don't want to miss! Great selection of food options - meat, fish, and veggie, and a lovely atmosphere and friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious. Walked in at peak time as a group of 11 with no booking on the off chance, and we were graciously accommodated. Good service, minimal wait times despite our group size and delicious food. Highly recommend!

Oh lordy! What can I say? This place was perfection! We were stumbling around Tunbridge Wells trying to find somewhere to eat, when we walked passed Kai's and noticed how busy it was. Thankfully they had a table spare. Everything was top notch! From a veggie perspective, I've never tasted better cooked and seasoned tofu and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. The service also gets a massive A*! Totally loved everything about it and can't wait to come back.

This is a great place, the food is mouth watering, the service is great and it's well worth the walk from the town centre. The food I had was bursting with colour and flavour, the calamari was exceptional, the phad Thai was gorgeous and the phad preaw wan (basically a better sweet and sour chicken) was unbelievably tasty. Love this place!

Nestled on the main hill Upto the shopping centre from the train station this little place offers a varied tai menu. We managed to get a table without booking on what clearly was a busy Friday night. Staff were initially attentive and keen to get us seated but did take a little while to take our order. We put this down to being so busy. StFf were friendly and happy to suggest additions to to your menu choices. Food was quickly served, came hot and packed full of flavour. Good portion sizes and lots of options. The only thing was that if sat near the door, there’s a regular flow of delivery drivers opened the door so the chill from outside does make the legs cold. Also we ordered single rums and we’re given doubles, of course we were charged for doubles so worth keeping an eye on. Overall it’s 5 starts purely down to the food. An excellent choice for a night out or a quick bite (or even takeaway)

Very small and cute cafe on the high street right opposite Tunbridge Wells train station. It was a very busy night, the staff were so busy and understandably it was a Friday night. The food was ok, not great and not the best Thai food I have had...just ok The Kai special rice tasted and looked like paella to me 😅 appreciate them ensuring no eggs was added. Pudding wasn't great either, the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream hhmmnnn I would give a 6/10 Overall it you are looking for a quick grab and bite, then I would recommend 👍🏼 There was only one prawn in the entire dish. Very large portion though. The starter was superb freshly made chicken gyoza...so yummy 🤤 Not sure I saw parking around except the train station drop offs...buses on route.

For some reason only known to Google, this showed up as “Indian restaurant” on Maps so went in. We soon discovered it was a Thai restaurant but were too hungry to change. The staff were friendly, the food was interesting but expensive. My wife didn’t want to finish her choice and it cost money to box it up to takeaway. Overall, not bad but that will be our only visit.

Great food and service, regular retuning customer, have always had a fantastic time there. Menu is varied but not bloated and the quality is always excellent.

This staff are friendly and food is nice but not authentic (tempura was actually panko breadcrumbs for example). They also don't seem to have a Thai lunch menu which seems like massively missing a trick... You can order an egg mayo sandwich for lunch though which is probably what you're after if you choose a Thai restaurant ...

Happy with the choices and portion size was generous 👍 fried squid was amazinggggg, would have had dessert too but we were too full and in a rush, but they looked really rich and tempting Flavours were nice, not the most groundbreaking thai I've ever had but definitely hits the spot - probably catered to the more english palette of tunbridge wells(!) service was very friendly too, you have to go down some curved stairs for the loos though - keep in mind for accessibility

Wow! My husband and I booked a table at this small but very busy thai restaurant for Saturday even. The food was incredible. My husband had the ribs as a starter and the meat was falling of the bone any really tasty. I had the gorgeous tempura vegetables and for our mains we had volcano chicken, green chicken curry... So good and tasty. We were really impressed with the hard working staff who were dashing around serving lots of happy customers. Highly recommend.

Came here for the first time in years hoping it was as good as I remembered. I was able to call ahead and book a table which was good. I was a bit worried as we sat in the back of the restaurant and there was a rather unpleasant smell hanging around (maybe sit closer to the door if you're going) but I was absolutely taken away by the quality of the food. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Vegan vegetable and tofu Thai green curry with sticky rice was INCREDIBLE! Best Thai food I have ever had. My friend had the beef noodle soup and said it was good too.

We came here for our first date night after the rules relaxing and allowing indoor dining. I've also had one takeaway from here previously. On this evening we got 2 starters, 2 mains and noodles. Everything was lovely, but not too tier. The noodles were pretty basic. The staff were all lovely

We have been on numerous occasions. The food is always excellent, authentic Thai cuisine. Service is good also. It is a lovely lunch place as the seating and decor are pretty basic. You go for the food not the glitzy surroundings.

First visit Saturday 24th. We had a range of starters ribs, chicken wings,crispy squid and the fish cakes. Each dish tasted absolutely beautiful. The staff were really lovely and friendly, well worth travelling to Tunbridge for. Cannot wait to go back.

Fantastic food! My usual at any Thai place is a fried fish - usually with chilli and garlic - and this place has one of the best I've had. Other than that, the drunken man noodles, the papaya salad and the green curry were all on point. Normal chilli is hot enough so don't ask for spicy, unless you've mind to burn your tongue.

However busy they are, they remain polite, cheerful and unhassled - we have a 'Kai's night' every week and it is always a highlight. Can thoroughly recommend!

We read good reviews about this restaurant and the staff were very attentive but we were disgusted after being served completely raw chicken! It was a chicken satay that my partner and I shared, after cutting it in half we discovered it was barely seared on the outside and completely raw. Unfortunately my partner did begin eating it but was able to spit it out before swallowing anything. Approach with extreme caution.

Being a Thai food fanatic I visited here last week whilst stopping in Tunbridge. The service was outstanding from the young waitress and the food was delicious. I went for the Pad Ka Prow with an extra fried egg and asked for it Thai Hot which it was. A delicious spicy meal just how I like it. Prices were fine for the quality of food. I would visit here again whilst in Tunbridge.

Had a pad king prawn take out. Extremely dissatisfied it was all noodles no sauce and only 4 prawns. Tastless and dry. I used to rate this place. l do not recommend it at all better thai at giggling squid. Avoid

We only discovered Kai's kitchen a few months ago but since then we usually order once per week as it is just so delicious! The drunken man noodles are a must! They also effortlessly cater to my vegan family members.

I visited this Restuarant with my family who had been before as they had informed me how good it was.We went on the "Eat out to Help Out Scheme" and the bill was very reasonable.Highly recommend the Tofu Tord, Vegetable Tempura, Sizzling Sesame Tofu and the Mild Yellow Curry. Coconut Rice was also very tasty. Generous portions.We are Vegetarians and the Lady serving told us that they will also accommodate Vegans which is nice to know.Will definitely come again.

I went for dinner on Sunday evening and even outside of eat out to help out, the restaurant was busy with takeaway orders (the next day we walked past at lunch on a Monday and it was extremely busy). The service here was really good, I always like to ask what the best food options are if i'm choosing out of a few and the staff was very friendly and happy to provide recommendations. We ordered Spring rolls, Pad Mem Mamuang and Drunken Man Noodles. I really enjoyed my food and so did my partner. She checked back in later as well to ensure we were happy, and we had a little chat about the food and what's in it. It seems like it's an authentic and family-run restaurant perhaps - these are always my favourite types of restaurants and I was very happy with our choice. Really lovely little restaurant although I would be concerned to come now in busier times as there's no markings to be socially distanced - probably because it's quite small. I'd definitely recommend but be wary to go at busy times in the current environment.

It's good, Kai's Kitchen, but not brilliant. The restaurant is a retro styled cafe, dark (can be too dark in summer, better in winter), with a long service bar so be careful which table as one is directly beside a noise coffee machine. It is tightly packed still.Food is food - is it as good as the three other TW Thai restaurants of note? Not sure it is.Service is perfunctory but adequate.Don't indulge in a second bowl of prawn crackers - mortgage wrenching cost will be added to bill - not good at all.Beers far from very cold. Corkage again very expensive.Staff can be curt.Would I return? PossiblyWill I return? Not for a long, long time

Lovely food and pleasant service although we would prefer to make our own minds up about the amount of service charge we pay rather than having it added to the bill. We felt that there were still maybe a couple of tables too many for the social distancing, it still felt a little cramped but we did enjoy the food.

Very busy restaurant. We arrived without booking sat outside and initially forgotten. Once remembered very good service. Having been to Thailand a couple of times we are well familiar with their passion for sweetness (sugar on tables in lieu of s&p!). For our taste the food here was very nice albeit some of it on the sweet side. Thai fishcake starter thankfully was as good as I have had. Other dishes ok but overly sweet. Need to remember to ask for less sweet in future. Would visit again

We enjoyed the food here very much but the serving sizes are small and the prices are high for the type of restaurant it is. The massaman lamb curry (£13) was truly delicious. The red chicken curry (£11) was rather small and inexplicably came with aubergine (eggplant) included in the sauce. It also lacked the flavour of the massaman. The coconut rice (£4) was a very small serve in the littlest coconut husk. The chicken satays were delicious at £6 a serve. There is a 10% service fee automatically added.

I ordered coffee for take away and nothing else. Only at the end I was told that it's £5 minimum charge. I only had my card as we are asked to avoid cash payments during covid-19. I refused to get cash from the ATM. I was offered alternatively to pay 50p extra for the transaction. It's illegal since last year to charge extra for using cards in shops. Also during covid we should be encouraged to use card only rather than cash. I paid as I know the business struggles but that's not the way to treat customers. I would happily pay this myself as a tip as coffee was actually very nice, but I think service and attitude was very bad.

We placed an order in advance during lockdown, we were contacted when promised to give payment and food was delivered on time on a busy Saturday night. Delicious dishes, highly recommended.

Kai’s kitchen is performing a great service for the people of T Wells by serving up the curries, Pad Thais, chilli squids etc that you’ll love during the lockdown. It’s not a big operation so you have to find the menu on Facebook and you may not get through first time, but it’s worth waiting for.Restaurant quality in takeaway form - generous portions, fresh and authentically tasty.Support your local restaurants - there’s good food on delivery beyond the Roo!

We had our first Thai meal from Kai's Kitchen and all agreed it was excellent. Four different meals and each as good as the other. We would highly recommend and will be ordering again soon.
