Kaima's Lithuanian Resturant in Peterborough

Trully, it was outstanding to visit for the very 1st time, fresh food, great hospitaluty, defo be going back again soon

I always visit this restaurant when I come to Peterborough. Because I know that I will always leave full and satisfied. The food here is very tasty and the portions are not small. The waiters are very nice. I will definitely go there again.

I wanted to buy a main meal and a pancake dessert, but waitress warned me that portions are big and I am glad I trusted her because dessert would have gone to waste. I will come again to try another dishes.

**CASH ONLY** We went for dinner, the dumplings are massive! I’d recommend going for the half portion as then you will get one very large dumpling, which is very filling. Whilst we were there, there was a singer who was great! Lots of dancing and the atmosphere was wonderful. Would definitely come again.

My wife is Lithuanian and me I like the cuisine but after we booked a table a week early the restaurant didn't have many dishes we requested. The place do not have car parking and the restaurant accept only cash to pay, no friendly no courtesy no confort and not all food you wish ( we are a family of 6 people) . No anymore

Excellent place for the Lithuanian food

Food was not to bad. Cepelinai was perfect and very nice. But burger was dry bread was burned, chicken saslikas was dry and burned. We ordered karka 2 portions after 30 minutes coming and saying that have just one portion remaining. When I called to them to book appointment for us I asked or I can order cepelinai take away they say that I can't preorder early, but today when I asked 5 cepelinai to get take away they didn't had. So experience didn't was very nice. We don't come back in this place.

Plate is big enough but quality is not as expected. I chose Beef Stroganoff as all grill meats were not available on the day. The stroganoff more was with white meat which is not enjoyable for me. The betroot salad taste was so boring. Atmopshere was nice!

Oue Lithuanian friend told us about this place and we went to give that a go. The food is amazing! It is a heavy as most of the option are fried and with lots of sour cream etc but it was just amazing! Tasty, very well cooked and the meat was nice and juicy. It is also one of the very few places that adds proper amount of dressing in the salad. Not too much not too less. Just the perfect ratio. I can't recommend this place enough and we are definitely going back again and again as it worths every single penny we paid. Well done!

We always come to kaimas as the food is really good and service is usually ok. The front of staff on 21/12 around 13:00 she was rude from the moment we entered blaming it on the massive table that they was preparing for. Genuinely unwelcoming and snapping her fingers for us to get up and get the menu from her. Even more so when she came to take our order. Completely arrogant and rude. I’ve never experienced terrible service like this before. We immediately left before she could continue to take our order. Shame as this used to be our favourite restaurant!

Looks like understanding about dealing with customers = zero. Asking online for meniu, as no website at all. Answer. Go and find in FB. We are fully booked this year and maybe next year(funny), and it is your choice where you want to go restaurant doesn't care. Actually I am looking for a place to celebrate birthday. To lose a customer, the same like p...s on 2 fingers. But find new... much longer way. I think inside restaurant dealing the same way, like online.

Proper food. Big portions. After eating at this restaurant you'll need a wheel chair to get you out of there and a nap afterwards.

The location is rough but the food and service is completely worth it. We had fantastic meals here today. We came with friends from Germany and our kids and we all were overblown by the incredible service. The portions are enormous and very cheap. The quality was amazing and it tasted fantastic. Hello, we visited your restaurant with our family on Saturday 09.09, we had a fantastic time, we had a delicious lunch. The children were satisfied with the food, which is really rare these days, a big THANK YOU to the kitchen for the perfect food, the team was fun, we got the drinks and food very quickly, and it was beautifully presented. Separately, we want to thank the dark-haired maid for her good mood, pleasant communication and good experience!! Everything about the food was explained and suggested in detail, the children could even spend the whole day with you, because the waitress devoted a lot of time to our children, the time was perfectly spent, thank you again! We will definitely come back :)))

Not a bad place at all. It's wasn't overly busy and I know food is cooked fresh but waited some time for the meal. Would visit again but maybe I'd have a snack beforehand.

We are very disappointed, we felt like a pub with our family, the commotion is big, there are inadequate people, the staff can't control other people to respect other customers, you can't wake up peacefully because of the noise, and especially with children, there is no place for a child, the food won't be cooked or it will be spoiled.

You should question the quality of the karka, because the only two of the group ordered it, and then the next day there was severe poisoning

When we arrived, TV was playing on almost full volume, and people who were dining in were talking really loud due to TV being too loud, so the atmosphere wasn't great. After ordering the drink, we were told that it is Cash only. Really? It's 2023. after choosing what to eat, we were told that they dont have it. Should of mentioned before giving us a menu. We waited for food for an hour! My partner ordered chicken shaslik, and it was dry. Dont think we will be coming back.

Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide drink list and wonderful dessert. The ambience is very welcoming and charming. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Portions are very generous. Don't eat much before you visit. They have a lovely corner filled with the toys to keep your little ones busy while waiting for your food.

We have been looking for local lithuainan food as my other half is from Siauliai, as despite my best efforts I haven't been able to make him food like home. The potato pancakes stuffed with meat were gorgeous. We will be coming back for the celephani as unfortunately they were sold out when we went. The waitress who served us was very nice qnd helpful, and the inside of the restaurant looks like a beautiful log cabin. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend a visit!

I have never been disappointed! Very tasty, good portions, a large selection, the last time I ate chicken with cheese was very juicy and insanely tasty. The team is amazingly nice, which adds to the whole atmosphere and the food, actually, even more. It's always nice to be back, and it's worth the trip from Spalding just for the Village. My fiance also loved it when I brought him to the Village. We plan to travel more than once. Thank you thank you thank you! I recently visited Kaimas and was blown away by the quality of the food and service. The menu is full of delicious Lithuanian dishes that are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the "Kepti varškėčiai" - it was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making sure that everything was perfect. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Kaimas and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great food and service

Great amazing food with an amazing chef, food is Lithuanian and feels like I'm back home eating that authentic cuisine. The serving staff is also amazing always very quick to help and explain any food options or other questions. My favourite part is that they listen to my requests and when I ask for no dill in all my food they don't put any in. Amazing place would recommend to everybody who's wants good food and not just for Lithuanians!

The menu is large, but it’s hard to order food because there is practically nothing. Only Lithuanian zeppelin pancakes. Orders take a very long time to complete. Cafe-eatery level.

I often go here with my boyfriend however they never have any of the veggie/vegan options advertised in their menu. They should update the menu if they are unable to cater for vegans. Service was slow for my group but food was tasty (apparently).

This restaurant is fantastic. The rustic, honey interior is reminiscent of a small cottage kitchen. The food and staff are just as welcoming and wonderful. The beer is nice as well. We shared the fried bread with cheese, which is such a lovely, delicious dish and quite filling. We only tasted our entrees and had to take the remainder home. This was a bonus because these made for tasty leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant can accommodate larger groups but is also quaint and a nice place for a couple. Kaimas is kid-friendly as well and has an adorable play area in the downstairs of the restaurant. We can't wait to go back. If in Peterborough, this is a great place to eat or have a beer.
