I actually loved this place, very quiet which I enjoyed & beautiful food!

The service was very good. Food delicious. Only criticism if the food was on a warm plate. The smokey BBQ chicken bites highly recommended could have eaten a bucket full.

The best stake we've had in Walsall. This is where you should go if yu want to enjoy your steak.

Great food, perfectly cooked. Very tasty and served at a perfect temperature. The venue was quite cold when we arrived but it soon warmed up. Well worth a visit.

We went were the restaurant and we were the only ones in there for the first ten mins, it was almost completely silent. Decor was basic and it felt awkward and quite dated. The first thing that threw us was that the menu online was completely different to the one in the restaurant. We ordered drinks and food orders were taken not long after. Whilst the food arrived hot it was way below what the price tag suggested. Sirloin steak and chips was £19.99, the kind of price expected at miller and Carter so expectations were high. My daughter had the sirloin and asked for it well done but it was chalky and dry, the chips were the best bit on the plate. She hates if a complaint is made as she gets embarrassed so I said nothing and she ate an 1/4 and ate the chips. The dripping burger wasn’t any different to that of a fast food burger, it was pink inside in places and they said because it was a steak burger it’s not cooked all the way through!!! The dripping sauce wasn’t as the name suggested, it was what can only be described as actual gravy. Definately not worth the price of £15.99!! The only meal that was enjoyed was the chicken combo which consisted of deep fried chicken which she’d eat from anywhere but usually with a cheaper price tag. The meal was not cheap and I wouldn’t go there again. The price and the standard of food was lacking massively, deeply disappointed as it was for my husbands birthday.

A great hole in the wall. A little small, but it adds to the atmosphere. Good value for what you get. The chips and salad were delicious, but the steak I got was way too tough.

Arrived for our valentine booking no table ready waited a while . Shown to the table and left for 29 mins had to get up and collect drinks from the bar also doubled up just to make sure we had some of and when we finished first ones . Ordered food . While scanning around dining area windows were dirty and dust around the panelling that lined the walls . Table was also sticky. The two staff were obviously under pressure and run ragged doing everything from bar to waiting and everything else . Everyone in the dining room was waiting for food /service several people seemed happy but in equal amounts seemed unhappy . Our food arrived and the salad was fresh the “rib eye steak “ was not rib or eye ,it was a frozen piece of braising steak & medium rare it was not . No flavour and chewy . We Didn't eat steaks and the accompanying beer battered onion rings were from Iceland and never seen beer . Disappointing is beyond measure would never go back

Went here last night for our wedding anniversary and the food was absolutely amazing. Me and my husband loves burgers and steaks so perfect place for us. The service was great, polite waitress and food came really quick. It was quite in there but we personally prefer that. Will definitely be going back

We had a delivery from here and the food is phenomenal, you get what you pay for. Might seem expensive but worth every penny.

Well, I'll paint you this picture. It's a Friday night past 8pm and we enter said establishment and it is empty... Should have trusted our initial feelings and got the F out of there. I had a standard burger(cheese and bacon)and the wife had the lamb cutlets. The salad with the lamb cutlets was not good... Inedible to be honest. The burger wasn't the best and we should have probably gone to burger king next door. P.S we ordered the beef dripping sauce as we loooooovvvvveee beef dripping sauce. This was not that. It was cheap gravy, sort of a mix between a chips shop gravy and a budget store brought one.

Over cooked frozen burger, frozen chips, frozen onion rings, not some where I’d recommend or dine again sadly. no music / no atmosphere, doesn’t feel like a restaurant more like food in someone’s living room.

I’m a Professional Chef and just want to give my two pence. A friend of mine ordered from here couple days ago, I got the Tomahawk and him the T-Bone. The portion sizes are fantastic, the price I would say is a good reflection of that. My steak was unevenly Medium Rare, understandable as it continues to cook straight off the grill. It was still juicy and warm. However, the steak is seriously lacking flavour. You should consider adding rosemary, thyme and salt to your garlic butter. This will melt on the steak and let off a fragrant taste or baste the steak before hand. If you want to do something really different I’d say turn Smoke the Tomahawk under Applewood. That would be insane. Beer Battered Onion Rings were nice however would say they in the small side. Handcut fries would be a much tastier and cheaper choice. Overall good place, just needs a huge injection of seasoning and flavour.

Very disappointed, very limited options. My husband got none of his first choice from the menu, even though went early on a Saturday night. The following not available, prawns, chicken wings, only one tomahawk steak, 2 in party wanted them. No beef dripping sauce or coleslaw. We ordered alternative options, but disappointed. We all wanted desert only to be told none available at all. Also told at the beginning of the night no cocktails. Only finished last mouthful and we're interrupted and asked to pay the bill. Had to chase cutlery. To be fair the steak was tasty. Expensive for what you get, bottle of bud was £4.20 and weren"t offered a glass. For us very limited options, very disappointed and felt rushed.

Food was absolutely amazing 🤩 couldn't fault it. Not one peice of fat on the steak cooked to perfection. Only flaw could say was the cocktails. Can have two for £14 each but when we went to order two different ones was told was couldn't and had the be the same so choose the one wanted. Came in two glasses and they were FULL of ice, my partner emptied the ice.out of both glasses and the "two" cocktails fitted into one glass. So wouldn't buy those again next time we go. Which is a shame as they were really nice but £14 for one cocktail basically is extortionate

I've been dying to try this place for ages, so my children treated me for my birthday. The food was amazing, best steak I've had in probably 36 years! The chicken was so moist and succulent, and the lamb cutlet and wings were to die for. The chips maybe needed a little longer for our liking, but were still gorgeous, and the beer battered onion rings were sublime. We'll definitely eat here again. Thank you for a superb meal. Xxx

10 min before they cancel ur table. Manager was talking some nonsense about cancellation. Avoid this place if you want to avoid disappointment

I traveled 20 miles to meet up with friends only for the table to be canceled on arrival, apparently an "email" had been sent earlier in the day that none of us received (convinent) . The venue looked empty and the staff were very rood. Very sad and disappointed

DO NOT ORDER THRU DELIVERY! IT’S A NIGHTMARE! We had been ordering from this restaurant for years and there were little issues here and there like sudden change of orders (as they ran out of our supplies) or cancelled my order after confirming it on delivery apps, but never really made a thing out of it. Today is my husband’s bday celebration and I wanted to order steak for him and other family members. So I ordered thru JUST EAT a 30 oz Tomahawk alongside other foods early this afternoon and waited for the order to be confirmed when they opened at 5pm. Good thing I checked the menu again and noticed that the Tomahawk wasn’t available. So I called them immediately when I noticed this as I did not want to NOT have food for the people coming over for this. I had spoken to the owner and I was told it wasn’t available. SO WHY WERE WE NOT CONTACED IMMEDIATELY ABOUT THIS? So i offered a solution and told them I could have other steak equivalent to the 30 oz Tomahawk. I WAS TOLD THEY COULD ONLY GIVE ME A 20 oz T-BONE STEAK WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY NOT EQUIVALENT TO THE 30 oz STEAK THAT I ORDERED. I told them the T-bone was only £29.99 and the Tomahawk that I paid for was £39.99 so I wasn’t happy to have it in place of my original order. THE OWNER THEN TOLD ME THAT THEY DON’T SELL THE 30 oz TOMAHAWK ANYMORE BUT ONLY 20 oz??? BUT JUST EAT STILL SAYS 30 oz and HE IS NOT TAKING ANY OWNERSHIP OF THIS MISTAKE. I would have not had a problem having anything else equivalent to what I ordered but they were trying to rip me off for this sudden change of “We don’t serve 30 oz anymore for a long time. Only 20 oz of tomahawk”? I decided to Cancel my order because the OWNERS are impossible to talk with. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY BAD. I am just so devastated about this incident tonight. It is their responsibility to make sure their Menu is UP TO DATE in all delivery partners. If you’re planning for any delivery with this establishment, just DON’T! You’ll waste your time and it’ll ruin your plans.

Came for a date tonight, steak was lovely, cooked how we asked for it to be cooked, very very small place, and staff need to learn customer service and how to smile, the woman literally dumped our food n drink on our table, scoweled at me everytime i asked for somethin n never said 2 word to us until i asked for the bill n she said u have to pqy down stairs. She was very rude and unapproachable, purely on the sevice i would not recommend this place and will not be returning

This was a little restaurant, had to walk up steep stairs to get to the dining area and back down for the toilet if you needed it. Our waitress was lovely. The food was overpriced for what you get however that being said it was good food. The whole restaurant was empty though.

Food was good, but I won't go there any more. Customer service is on very low level. It was Saturday 1h after they open but many things from menu were not available.

The food here is excellent, cooked to perfection, and the service is top class, my reason for only 4 stars is the price of the drinks, why must they rip us off for a small bottle of beer, do the owners not realise that customers would buy more drinks if it was reasonably priced, it makes no sense at all, come on kabels do the right thing and charge less for a bottle of beer, you'll make more money that way and you will be the winners in the long run

Only picked this restaurant because of its rating. Where do I start. The cocktails tasted sour, like mouth wash. Both steaks were cooked wrong. Onion rings are not onion it's cheap mush from Iceland. Garlic bread starter is a burger bun. No English mustard at all. The table water had no ice so was soon at room temp. They cover everything in this green stuff so everything tastes the same. Service was poor. I complained about the undercooked steaks. Nothing was said. Shocking experience in this day n age. Spend your money elsewhere. I'll not be back. Worst place I've been to for a steak.

Family of eight including two children. We went for a Birthday Celebration. Only us upstairs only one table downstairs. Waitress was very accommodating. We had starters, children's "Chicken bites" were enough as a meal . Our starters cheese garlic bread, no problem,mushroom buschetta sauce was far too thin and sorry but it had been put on burger bap rolls not on the correct bread that your paying over £4 for so that was very disappointing. One adult is a veggie and chose to have three starters as a man no issue, although you have to pre-phone and book the largest steak and we had done when it came to ordering it they hadn't got it. Kids meals great. Ordered gammon had none, that was the only thing that one person eats had something else didn't eat it. Two steaks were not cooked as asked, meals were mixed up, had missed off items and put items on mains that hadn't been ordered, one ordered steak with veg came out with salad , other asked for nothing but steak and chips came out with salad. Burger was very big but burger not fully cooked in the centre. Even though nearly all steaks were not as asked they were none the less very tender, tasty. Drinks for pop £2.50 each don't do refill. Water £2.40. Total meal £250.85. Expensive in part. Oh and check your bill, charged us for items we didn't have.

Been to this place two times now. Both times could not fault the steak was cooked exactly how I asked. And the price is reasonable. I have been to miller and carter a few times and in my opinion kebals beats miller and carter hands down for quality and price would recommend this place to anyone

I’ve never gone to the effort to review anything in my life but had to today. My partner found this place due to the excellent reviews and took me for my birthday meal…we actually travelled 30 miles to come here. The place is small with only a handful of tables but there was only one waitress who to be fair didn’t seem to be experienced and may have been new. We waited over an hour for our food. My partner is vegan and so wasn’t expecting much for herself but the veggie burger was straight out of a packet from Iceland. I ordered the tomahawk steak and asked for it rare. You could tell the steak was decent quality but was well done/incinerated and not what I asked for. The sides were also all out of a packet The fact there was nobody in there at 8pm on a Saturday night suggests the locals know the place has gone down hill Poor service, poor food, overpriced

I was taken to kabals steakhouse for a birthday treat and all I can say is wow. The food was amazing the steak was really tender and cooked to perfection the chips were lovely and the salad delicious. I would recommend this lovely little steak house to anyone the staff are helpful and extremely friendly.

Disappointing. Steak was just OK but the accompanying 'salad' was simply a small garnish with no dressing options. It is going to take a long time for my mouth to recover from the lashings of garlic salt on the 'seasoned fries' which are served with the steak. The tables were sticky and the decor dour. Never again.

We have ordered from Kabel’s many times including Saturday for my husbands birthday. There was a large group of us so lots of food and easy to make a mistake as everyone ordered different , and different accompanying sauces, sides and cooked differently too , however there wasn’t one mistake! Everything was perfect! Food was piping hot , cooked just as we asked & tasted delicious! The delivery was bang on time and we even had a follow up call to ask if we were happy with everything! I believe that it’s a family business & they are all so pleasant and helpful and their customer service is second to none! The girl I spoke to on the phone (I think she may be their manager) is lovely too! So pleasant & wants to make sure we were really happy! Credit where it’s due , your all amazing and we hope to order with you again very very soon! Thanks guy a fab experience highly recommended!!!! X

When here for our anniversary dinner and was really disappointed. The room upstairs was cold and small with weired lighting and the table was sticky. The music stopped for about 15 mins I had to ask the waitress to turn it bk on because we were sitting in silence. Food came up in ok timing and was hot and was nice but nothing amazing the chips were nice. And there's a good selection of drinks. It was just ok I really wanted it to be good or great. I wouldn't go back again and would recommend but would have to express our experience.

Had to pay £5 deposit per person for a table of 5 for a Friday night arrived and there was only another table in there the whole night They didn't have any sirlon steak which was the cheapest steak to have. So had a 'going solo' as it was the next best option for the price, which was Steak, chicken, lamb and 3 chicken wings chips and coleslaw and salad. Chips were perfectly seasoned and a change to normal steak chips. Would of liked some onion rings to be added. I had a pint of coke and they said that they don't do pints it would be two cans which cost £5.00 for two cans of pop! The young girl working was lovely and very chatty.

The plus side, and the reason for 2 stars is that the cook knows how to cook a rare steak. Everything else with this place is wrong. Steak and chips should be seasoned and a chef won't shout about it. Except here, seasoned means ridiculously salty. Worst still, I ordered a sirloin which came out as a rump. I love a good rump steak and it would even be my preference, but this was not a good piece of rump. It was mostly extremely tough and chewy and if I order a sirloin I should get a sirloin. The people of Walsall deserve better restaurants with people that care about good produce, good cooking and mostly, the customers.

No words to describe how tasty and wonderful this food was, don't let the prices scare you, the portions are huge with a very unique taste. Menu has something for everyone from fried shrimp to Stakes and nuggets for kids. It's well worth to pay the little extra for this kind of experience! Will definitely visit again!

Order today... Burger without flaver, no souce in the burger.. the bun was the cheapest which you can buy in tesco... not brioche for sure... big disappointment... Hot wings not good as well... but still bit better then this burger, i need eat crisp on the end to kill flavour

I am majorly disappointed in the service I received tonight with this new restaurant I was excited to try out. Ordering from Deliveroo is normal for myself, nothing new. I finished my order, a meal for me and my two kids. It arrives at the house, only to find the main part of my order non-existent and all that was delivered were my sides. I call Delivroo trying not to panic and they resend my order again so I can receive my FULL meal. What's even more disappointing is I was waiting an hour to find that they had rejected my order and it would not be delivered. £50 down the drain, absolutely terrible service.
