K2 in Cardiff

Friendliest place in Cardiff? My third visit. It always amazes me how reasonable the prices are. Great food, atmosphere and staff. Would totally recommend.

despite that fact we were very close to closing time, we still got served and me and my 2 friends had hot chocolate + cake. i won a £15 voucher and the food came to just under £15, which was great. will come again!

This coffee shop catered for our event at the Cathedral and I honestly can't recommend them enough. The friendliest people I've ever met with a real family feel to it. The food was just incredible - I especially enjoyed all the cakes and brownies! They even went out of their way to make me special lunches and dinners which were simply perfect and incredibly kind of them. Thank you so much!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends at K2 today. What a lovely atmosphere, beautifully decorated, friendly efficient staff, had a toasted sandwich with bacon, Brie and cranberry with salad and crisps on the side and a lovely latte to wash it down😊 Absolutely delicious! We will be returning soon🥰 thank you K2

We visited for breakfast at 9:30am. It was an excellent breakfast and good coffees too, and the staff were helpful. I would recommend it.

K 2 proporcionó el buffet posterior al funeral para mi madre, que era una habitual allí. No me puedo quejar, un montón de todo lo que pedimos, pasteles, panecillos, sándwiches, pasteles, frutas, café, pasteles, rollos de salchicha, quesos frescos y sabrosos, todos de 30 a 90+ lo disfrutaron. Bien hecho como siempre Kev y Kim. Buena gente también.

My first visit to this long - established and popular family informal breakfast, lunch and tea cafe. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff serve delicious food from an extensive, varied menu. I couldn't fault it!

Vine aquí para comer a la hora del almuerzo y quedé muy decepcionado. Me senté junto a la cocina y todo lo que podía escuchar era una mujer que juraba que llevaba una gorra. Luego, para ser recibido por el servidor que parece que necesitaba un buen lavado. No vendré otra vez.

Breakfast was so well presented and cooked perfectly - Michelin star standard. Chef served us and very welcoming service. Cardiff City centre needs more of this service and standard. Well done K2 Team.

Work near here and have had a few meals before, but this salad was amazing. I dont normally leave reviews but felt I needed to this time. Defo worth a visit 😁

Café caro, extra 40 p para tener un tiro doble Americano, la mayoría de los lugares te dan 2 disparos como estándar.Las camareras necesitaban un curso de servicio al cliente, no tenían interés, tenían caras hoscas y pasaban la mayor parte del tiempo buscando miradas en sus teléfonos. No volveré corriendo.

A nice coffee house , but more like a cafe. Cafe type food , good coffee , which has improved since last visit , (just ask for 2 shots), and reasonable prices , so if you enjoy good cafe food ,then this is for you . But certainly not the place to relax with a coffee and a good book

¡Tuvimos una petición muy extraña y pudieron ayudar y superar todas nuestras expectativas! !Mi familia ha estado en K 2 y siempre ha disfrutado de sus visitas a lo largo de los años y atienden muchos de los eventos en Pegasus (siempre excelente comida), pero ahora mis abuelos son menos móviles y cada vez es más difícil visitarlos. El cumpleaños de mi abuelo fue en octubre, a menudo recibimos vales para las comidas, pero como ya no es posible, pedimos ayuda a K 2. . . . . Ellos armaron un fabuloso almuerzo de cumpleaños con Lasagne. . prosecco . Tarta de manzana y natillas. . . ensalada. . rollos de pan - todos mis abuelos favoritos y pudieron entregarlo en su puerta ese día. No podemos agradecerles lo suficiente, por lograr una fantástica comida de cumpleaños. Muchas gracias y no puedo esperar a volver cuando estemos en Llandaff. :)

¡Este es mi café favorito de todos los tiempos! Voy aquí para café, almuerzo, té y pasteles todo el tiempo. Kevin y Kim y el resto del personal son muy amables, el servicio y la calidad de la comida es excelente, y los precios muy razonables. Creo que mi artículo favorito es la ciabatta de pollo crujiente con salsa de chile dulce. Definitivamente lo recomiendo. Simplemente no robes mi asiento, está bien.

Often visit for breakfast and have never been disappointed with the food or the service - a very good cafe.

Very good Cafe in Llandaff, Cardiff. We had toasted sandwich &, jacket potatoes which were very tasty and the Coffee was good.

Unfortunately, they use the cheapest possible meat here - both their chilli and sausages contained a ridiculous amount of hard gristle which made the meals inedible.

Went here for breakfast on Saturday 18th November. Had the full English and was really tasty. Asked for extra crispy bacon and it was perfect. Will be returning.

Una parada regular para un sabroso almuerzo en un agradable café en Llandaff High Street. Buen menú variado, servicio amable y una muy buena comida de buena relación calidad-precio. También hacen un buen comercio de comida para llevar y ofrecen buffets en el área; estos han bajado muy bien. Algunos pasteles y postres muy buenos también, pero aún no los he probado.

We all agreed that this was a great cooked breakfast. Accompanied by vegetarian, she also loved it. Freshly cooked with no delay

Como familia nos encantan los desayunos que se sirven aquí, el gran desayuno completo es genial para nuestro hijo. Y la variedad se adapte al resto de nosotros. Encantadora Cafetería y gran batidos y refrescos para todo el mundo. En el almuerzo la selección es fabulosa y el pollo chili es mucho vivido por nuestra hija. La selección de comida para llevar, bien vale la pena. La selección de bebidas y pastel también es fantástica. Hay asientos al aire libre. Personal amable y buena relación calidad-precio. Popular entre los lugareños y los estudiantes universitarios. Pruébalo, no te defraudará.

Fui a este pueblo catedral regularmente, pero normalmente frecuente otro establecimiento más arriba de la calle alta. Me coche - menos en este particular día y nos las arreglamos para conseguir un ascensor a Llandaff y había organizado un servicio de recogida, pero tenía que matar dos horas. Decidí dar una oportunidad K2 y me encantó que me hicieron. Tuve un Delicioso pollo, queso y pesto ciabatta con un café muy bienvenidos y buen frappe. El personal era amable y el precio era razonable. Me encantaría volver algún día y pop degustar su desayuno!

Visité Llandaff como pasaba por ir a la calle Fagans y me sorprendió gratamente encontrar este hotel familiar cafetería que aparentemente ha estado funcionando durante más de 15 años. No tuve problemas para ver por qué este fue el caso de los desayunos son deliciosos y muy razonable, y el chico rubio que nos servía era muy amable. Sin duda vale la pena visitar.

I popped in here for a tea and cake on the offchance while visiting the area. There is a great selection of teas, and some very scrumptious looking cakes. I chose a flapjack, which was delicious. The staff were friendly, and there was a very welcoming atmosphere.

Popped in for a coffee and a sarnie I had the club sandwich it was scrumptious. Service is always good here and the food is good for the money.

Was in LLandaff visiting the beautiful Cathedral and wanted somewhere for a coffee. However, the cakes looked so good that we decided to have some lunch instead. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. My wife had the apparently delicious Broccoli and Stilton Soup and I had the absolutely brilliant Bacon & Black Pudding Salad. Both were well presented and the latter was superb, black pudding cooked just right and plenty of bacon (as you can hopefully see from the picture). We both wanted a cup of tea and I'll give the place 10 out of 10 just because we each had a decent sized pot and a good sized jug of milk to go with it. Most places nowadays tend to provide one pot between two people with a miniscule jug of milk that is more appropriate for a family from The Borrowers! Well done - really good lunch - thank you.

This is a favourite with my sons for a good old fashioned cooked breakfast -and there are plenty of options to choose from. I last went with my cousin to have a quick lunch - and they had corned beef pie as a special - awesome! I had mine with salad and my cousin with chips and beans. Best corned beef pie I have had for a long time. This is a cafe more than a restaurant - but friendly efficient staff and great value food!

I regularly meet my friend for lunch here, and a sneaky glass of wine! It's friendly, and the food is always delicious - so we return again and again. There are lots of places to eat in Llandaff, so the fact that this is our favourite must be a good thing - thanks, K2!

Found ourselves at Rookwood hospital in Wales looking for a good barista coffee and a tasty fresh cooked lunch.This cafe was busy with helpful approachable staff. The food was delicious the omelette was cooked to perfection not a disappointment and would recommend to all if your in the area or even if your not and fancy a change from Costa.

Always busy which tells you it is good. I like the breakfasts and hot chocolates. It does have a licence if you want a drink. Fresh cooked food. Quirky.

K2 are now open in the evenings until Xmas . We visited on Friday evening and had an excellent meal . The steak was melt in your mouth and cooked perfectly. The homemade burger was juicy and tasty and the onion rings were to die for ! Kim and Kevin had worked very hard to make K2 into an evening venue , with candles , dimmed lights and beautifully laid tables. The meal was very reasonably priced with a small three course menu with something for everyone and a good wine list. Kim and Kevin were keen to listen to any suggestions - ours being to advertise more ! Will definately be visiting again .

We chanced upon ths coffee shop during a recent outing in the llandaff area, the experience was okay but there is definitely room for improvement on the drab and dingy decor, uncomfortable seating and the greasy-spoon style food.Service was great and very friendly- couldn't ask for more from the lovely girls out front.The toilet however was extremely grimey and in desperate need of a deep clean.The food was average although quite substandard quality for the llandaf demographic that this cafe serves... the bread was quite obviously the cheapest sliced loaf and I was disappointed with the fried eggs that had been served sunny side over with a hard yolk. Customers should be asked how they like their eggs surely?On the whole though, the experience was not too bad, although I really think they are missing a trick with a few things...will revisit hopefully once they've improved the quality of their food, cleanliness and atmosphere! For now I will stick to cafe brava!

Im a regular visitor to K2 , the food is freshly cooked with a seasonal menu . New food ideas are discussed with the customers then brought out for you to try and comment on . The new coffee machine is excellent and it is the best value for money in Llandaff village . Keep up the good work Kevin and Kim

Great little place, good choice of lunch menu and the sarnies have a generous filling, as do the jackets. Earl grey tea is nice and there are always really nice cakes on display, that i must try soon!! Service is very good and friendly.

I was really looking forward to a bacon and sausage sandwich on brown bread. I was disappointed when it arrived, tasteless sausage on poor quality bread. My daughter struggled to find something as she is a vegetarian so went for a cheese and tomato toastie which was ok. I felt that the prices were that of somewhere similar to Garlands coffee shop yet the quality was that of a cheap cafe.I have had a tastier experience at The Tuck In cafe in Canton.There wasn't exactly service with a smile either. Won't recommend to a friend and won't be going back.

Great choice of meals and snacks, friendly staff and good value, Lunch time gets busy with the locals.

The breakfasts and toasties are just great and some of the cakes are to die for (The Rocky Road is a particular gem). OK, the coffee is a case of least said soonest mended but that is more than compensated for by the legendary staff who bring a warmth and generosity of spirit that brings a light to any day. A fellow reviewer says 'the social centre of Llandaff" and that is so true. Remember the TV series 'Cheers'? If you do then you'll understand when I say that the spirit of that series is alive and well and residing at the bottom of Llandaff High Street.

After an hour in the jazzy Jungle soft play for kids with our 15 month old Grand daughter we called in for a well earned cuppa .Nice and clean with freindly staff,in nice surrundings.

Nice coffee shop at the bottom of the High Street with some tables outside. Very pleasant atmosphere and many local regulars, so gets very crowded sometimes. The two Ks are the owners Kevin and Kim backed up by nice waiting staff. Place deservedly popular for coffee but good lunches and snacks also served with daily specials, even a drinks licence. Worth a visit.

I don't know if the Bishop ever eats there, but the egg mayo sandwiches are fantastic. The filling is the best, and there's plenty of it. And their home-made shortbreads are to die for. I could eat them until I died. Great prices, too, and very friendly staff. Best cafe in Llandaf!
