Juniors Fish & Chips in Newtownabbey

Seems to be almost every time I order here there's a problem with the order definitely the last time

Ordered a chicken fillet burger with lettuce received my order and half of it was missing and my food was cold sick of this happening will not be back

Chips very greasy I ordered a cheesy chip there was cheese on half the chips on the top half empty there’s no salt nor vinegar on the chips and it’s all just tasteless

Brilliant takeout. Food is always piping hot, tasty and large portions. Place is spotless too. 10/10

Have eaten here a few times. Just keep forgetting why I say I won't go back. Chips are always too greasey. Meat always overcooked. Gravy a little tasteless. Staff are pleasant and helpful and friendly so won't say anything about them. Portion size is great. Just the quality of the food could be better.

Leaving someone home I fancied a fish and found Junior's. Usual chippy menu. I saw two fish on menu. One said large cod, and one said same but with thin batter. I plumped for this single fish at £7.00 and find that reasonable priced. It came quite quickly and staff were pleasant. The large fish was not that big and very thin. Batter was ok but there was an odd taste to batter perhaps the oil used. My fish was drowned in red sauce which spoiled it a bit. So I rate this place as 7 out of 10. I will go back again if in area. It was a very busy spot.

Used to be excellent however, the last time I went the chips looked like they'd been reheated, very disappointing.

Purchased quarter pound cheeseburger and although the shop was empty had to wait quite a while, no problem I thought, looking at all the wonderful 'fresh" posters stating everything was cooked fresh that day. Waited patiently for my piping hot burger fresh off the grill so was surprised to find it tepid on the outside and cold in the middle. This actually was my second try at this chippy as the first time I was not happy and thought they might have just been having an off day.....obviously not. Won't be giving it a third try...bleugh

When you look at the on line menu a fish supper is £7.40 when you go to the counter it's exactly £10🤔 but the foods not bad

I got a chicken burger out of here and the chicken is so rubbery and can’t even bite it! So disappointed

I ordered a Bacon soda and was told it only comes with 2 Slices of bacon , so asked of 2 extra slices, I ordered a Single Fish and a small chip, and a Small portion of Curry sauce....This came to £16.50 which I thought was a bit expensive. But said nothing, in the 2 minute drive back to the house, I discovered the Soda was not warm at all. I phoned to give Feed back , and was told " Well sorry you where not happy " ..... no mention of come back and we will reheat or make you a fresh Soda. I will not be returning!!!

Food is lovely but portion sizes are abysmal. Wouldnt order from again. Too expensive for what you get

Put in an order was charged for an extra chicken burger I didn't order only realised when I overheard the girl tell her co workers she'd get that later she even admitted to knowing she had overcharged but never said a word absolutely disgusted with the service

First time I got fish and chips in my life 😅 Can’t complain about taste as the fish was so good but the chips(10pcs), I mean I’m 100kgs 🤣🥹 I’m not sure if that’s a normal portion or someone had a joke with me. Paid £7 for this 🙄 Right. So just seen the reply from the shop and turned out was my fault. As I said never had fish and chips before and I thought it comes with chips. Next time I’ll get the supper. Thanks tho

This place is my go to chippy. Despite having two or three closer. It's great being able to preorder on their app and have it ready to pick up and it's always really nice

I did not feel welcome at all, my son changed his mind when ordering and the girl seemed annoyed with us. Apart from that the food was nice. There is plenty of parking and other shops close to hand.

The food is nuce but its a rip off cuz when I going in 4 my brother ordering 2 items it rip me off by adding 3 qid so ppl get a RECEIPT.

Curry chip was more spicy than most which is good! Onion rings were really good. Batter was crispy and not soggy!

My order was disappointing. The burger was very small and uninteresting and the portion of chips greasy and less generous compared to other places like The Captains Table. The staff were rude and uninterested. Cant believe a tip jar is on the counter. Overall..wont be back. C£@P!

The few times I have visited this chippy I’ve had several meals. The food has been either good or poor. An example being on first visit meals of curry chip, chicken fillet burger and sausage supper were good. On return got overdone chicken goujons which were inedible and did not return for a while. Last meal was average.

Found the food here to be a little to greasy Yes i know its a chip shop but the fish was ousting grease. Must say there pasties are very good and the curry sauce is fantastic so maybe if they just took just a little more time to allow the food to drain more then this review might have been more stars

Good sized portions fish excellent staff nice too you also get good value for money . also have good variety menu for kids.

Good portion size and they do offers every night bound to find one that suits always busy good menu not bad prices

Both the fish and chips (in the fish supper) were cooked to order. From Australia and this was far better than anything we'd get at home. Would definitely return.

Barely cooked nuggets and bland soggy chips. All just seemed a bit undercooked at to low a temperature and served with no enthusiasm or care.

Juniors is the best chippy in Newtownabbey! The food is fresh and cooked to order. They have great offers throughout the week with fabulous savings on meal deals. Friendly staff and plenty of parking outside.

This.chippy is fantastic. The food is Always lovely and it's not dear at all. I've tried all the chippies around the area and this one is by far the best. Great value for money.

go here alot best chippie in newtownabbey, daily deal meals very cheap get loads, one meal does 2 people. good carpark and located easy to find. spotless can see your meal being cooked. staff very friendly. very quick service!

If there was an option for zero star i would have chosen that.Ordered a take away waited over 40mins...the same restaurant delivered to my neighbours house.just eat called juniors and they denied the order being placed.i received a confirmation email to say that my order had been placed??f?cancelled the order.....However

Used to call here on my way home from work, now go to the Carrick Juniors shop. This is where I discovered chicken goujons to die for!! Must try if u haven't had them. Lovely breaded not battered. Keep up the good frying guys.
