Pretentious, overpriced and worth avoiding. The staff here have no sense of urgency, are aloof and full of attitude. The place itself is grubby with unclean tables, generally it’s a place to avoid.

Wife and I toodled along the Sunday before last. Nice 2 mile walk to get there. Met at the door promptly and shown to a table, then....... the chap walked off! After a while my wife spotted the menus, so I went and got two. We eventually (after finally getting his attention) ordered 2 full breakfasts, which when they came were as delicious as I remembered them from a previous visit. So the negatives; 1. Ordering experience poor. 2. They add 15% gratuity to your bill (optional of course!). The positives; 1. Apart from the chap, the serving staff were great. 2. The food was excellent. There are many options for breakfast where we live, so would we come again...Yes.

I am really sorry to say that we were very disappointed. My husband had really been looking forward to a great "Full English Breakfast" and sadly it was not good. Firstly the order was wrong so they took it away and when returned correct, it was only mildly warm . My omelette was OK, a bit overdone, but OK and then my side order of baked beans were cold so also had to be returned. This is the first time we have been for ages and I am sorry to say we will not be returning in a hurry.

We decided to have lunch in Jungs to try something new we were 4 adults and 2 kids.We recently moved in the area and we saw this lovely coffee shop. As your getting close to it you can see that the people in there they care about what they are doing and they love their jobs you can see it in their eyes! The place it’s so clean and the stuff all of them are so helpful and smiling all the time . Our kids were trying the strawberry milkshake and they loved it.We also enjoyed our cappuccino’s you can see that they are having a really good quality coffee.Me and my wife we had the Rosti with pear and my father in law had the Chicken Hunter schnitzel and my mother in law she had Jung and Healthy and she loved it.

Short and sweet (a bit like this review) just had a soya mocha coffee which, whilst being delicious, was rather small and rather expensive. And whilst they do have lovely sofas they are usually being used and then there are only hard wooden chairs to sit on (hence not staying too long - that and not wanting to buy another expensive coffee)

Went here for mid-morning coffee and snacks. The coffee came quickly, and was pleasant, but four food dishes did not appear for over half an hour. When prompted, waiter said they would be four minutes, but it was at least another 10 minutes before they arrived.Food was OK, and served attractively. Staff stressed and unwelcoming. No explanation was given for delay and no apology either. An eye-watering 12.5% service charge is added to the bill. This was taken off on request.Other guests gave up waiting for their food and left.Bad feeling could have been mitigated if explanation had been given and complimentary coffee refills offered.Toilets were unpleasant.

Airy and light and lots of space - a very calm atmosphere. The food is pretty good but not spectacular. The only thing that puts me off coming in here more is that every time I go the service is so slow. My wife and I met up with a couple of friends for a coffee croissant and chat. It is a few years since we were last here and regrettably it did not impress. It was a stinking hot day and no air con was put on despite they having a pretty good system. The main doors were wedged open which just added to the hot air flow through the cafe. In addition to the heat the open doors led to a load of leaves and other detritus swirling around our feet. The floor was not as clean as I would expect.

Yesterday I was working in Beaconsfield and went to Jung’s on my lunch break. Went in to buy a quick sandwich and they advised to sit down as they had table service. The menu was brought out ten minutes later but the sandwiches were not there so I had to go back in to order from the menu behind the counter I picked up a drink and was told to put it back as they’d bring it to the table. Two sandwiches took around 25 minutes to make which I was a little shocked by sat down and it took another 10 minutes for the sandwiches to arrive. I couldn’t fault the food it was very nice. The drinks didn’t arrive until after we finished the sandwich.

Very rude... the experience left us feeling a bit deflated, so we won't be returning until we start seeing reviews that it has improved. It's such a shame as we used to love this place.... The staff were really welcoming, there was a good range of food and the portions were neither too big nor too small. Everything tasted delicious and was well presented. I had a hot chocolate with soya milk and a little pot of ganache followed by a homemade fish finger sandwich. My husband had an Americano and a roasted vegetable and halloumi wrap. The accompanying salads had a delicious sauce on them. Service was added on at the end and everything came to around £30 so mid budget. Would go again.

This place is usually very good for coffee, lunch, brunch etc. However recently it has gone considerably downhill..the service has become very poor. Also, on a Sunday the portions tend to be smaller and the bread not so great. Even when only half full, on recent visits we have experienced very slow service, mistakes in orders, food being given to the wrong tables, warm coffee and so on. Often you need to go to the counter to order, pay the bill, request cutlery etc etc. Such a shame as it's a great spot, there are some lovely members of staff and the food is usually good! Improvements needed!

Spent 6 months living in Gerard's cross and went to this cafe on many occasions. It was far cheaper than the one across the road and the quality of food was very similar. I rarely changed my food options. And just stuck to the chicken Cesar salad and bacon cranberry and chicken sandwich. Both meals are excellent and their range of pastries is quality also. Jam or custard donuts aren't to be missed. The coffee's are pretty average in my opinion but I know what I like and how to make it. Free wifi so I got a lot of my work done and found a lot of Pokémon in my time. (Yes I was one of those blokes) with not much on offer in the area it helped get me through the days. Eat inside on the tables or couches or outside in the sun is out and it's very peaceful watching the gx world go by. For the amount of times I went in (it was a lot) the staff generally always the same never remembered me which I thought was quite poor as my experience working in restaurants, hotels and cafes, if you see someone twice or three times you get early remember them. Fresh bread loafs, sandwiches, cakes and quiches can be purchased for take aways.

We went for lunch. We had a flatbread with savoury toppings - lovely and fresh. My husband asked for a crispy bacon & cheddar sandwich - not on the menu but they made it without a problem. Some outside seating in the sun but unfortunately by a fairly busy road - but on the plus side it is a bit of a sun trap on a sunny day & good for people watching if you don't mind the passing traffic. Also good if you have a dog & want a bite to eat or a coffee as you have to sit outside anyway. Table service inside & out. Menu includes breakfast, sandwiches, snacks & hot food. German/Swiss style menu including bratwurst hot dogs. There is a selection of cakes & patisserie to purchase to eat in or takeaway. Also freshly made artisanal bread to purchase. A fairly spacious inside area with tables & chairs & sofas & low tables. There is a pay & display public car park almost next door. There is also a children's menu. For adults a selection of wines & German beer as well as soft drinks. Service is not the fastest but my flatbread was fresh & loaded with toppings plenty of goats cheese, mushrooms, grilled peppers & olives so I was happy.

Was surprised that the bill came to £10 and questioned it. Apparently the £2.95 price displayed for the chocolate tart was for take-away and another £1 had been added. The extra shot in the cappuccino cost £1.25. So we paid an extra £2.25 we weren't expecting. Very naughty sneak charging. Jungs at Gerrards Cross used to be a real favourite, would suggest it to co-workers or friends/family for someone a bit nicer to eat lunch.Went there Wednesday 10th for lunch, coincidentally the same day they brought out a new set of menus we were told. We decided to go for the full English breakfast as it used to be amazing, having been on a few occasions over 2014/2015.Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone downhill, despite excellent service and a great atmosphere. The food was awful. The sausages were hard, almost as if they were re-heated from a microwave. The meat quality was suspect. The scrambled egg was a strange watered down colour, tasted fine. All day today though, both of us have been feeling rough, so something was not right with the meal. Before I would recommend Jungs in a heartbeat but they seem to have slashed the quality on their once excellent menu.Perhaps at lunch time in the middle of the week, we did get a bad experience and the food will continue to be exceptional, but we won't go there again. There are far more affordable locations with superior food nearby.

went for Saturday lunch with mother in law. Lots to choose from the menu however the food is average. The bakery is the best bit and I will continue to buy cakes and fresh breads but wont stay lunch.

It's such a shame that Jungs never get their act together with service. The food's always good but it's always countered by the slowest service by staff who try so hard not to see customers they may as well wear blindfolds. I now try Jungs about every 6-12 months just to see if it ever improves. It doesn't. And it's now been over 10 years I've lived in hope....

Went as a group and the service was very slow. We weren't greeted as we came in, chose our own table and I had to go and get menus for ourselves. After 15 minutes, we had to ask to order some drinks which was then brought another 10 minutes later after we saw it at the bar waiting to be brought over for a while. They didn't bring milk, when all of us were having tea so we then had to go up to the counter to ask for that too. Eventually when our food arrived, two of us had ordered 'american pancakes' but they came as crepes and they were very cold. Didn't bother complaining about the temperature because it probably would have taken another 20 minutes to bring out another dish! Would have been a great brunch if the service was better and the food wasn't cold!

The service was very attentive - sadly the staff didn't actually act on the only request we had, for ketchup, but that wasn't the end of the world. Would have liked my glass of tap water to be cold rather than lukewarm but the food and hot drinks we ordered were very nice. Quite pricey though.

I love the selection of pastries but unless you have a lot of time on your hands it's a painful experience. I had to leave my table twice to find service today. Though the staff were all very professional and personable they are far from sharp. And that was when with a virtually empty restaurant. It always seems to be like this. On top of that £10.75 seems a little steep for a small baked potato with a miserable garnish and a soft drink. Not even an organic spud! Jungs seems to have lost its va va voom. It wouldn't need much to get it back! After all the pastries are second to none?

We have eaten at a few Jungs and this is the best. Breakfast, brunch, snacks or lunch are always good. Would recommend.

We have eaten here a few times. We come for the food which is generally great and is the only reason for coming because EVERY time we come we get terribly slow disorganised service. Management needs to get on top of this because Fego just over the road offers great food AND good service.

Went there for lunch during the week with my wife. The place was quite sparse so service was quick and attentive without being intrusive. The food was above average and enjoyable. Although a bit pricey it's about the norm for Gerrards Cross. Would and will go again..

Really wish this was better than it actually is. A continental patisserie in this wealthy village should be so much busier and so much better.

There are many restaurants in the Gerrards Cross/Beaconsfield area, Jungs offers everything you could need for a day time snack or meal. Excellent service, food and value.

This place is really overpriced for what you get. We went in summer and there were flys all over the pastries and the staff did nothing to protect the food. It was also the worst milkshake I've ever had! Wouldn't go here again!

Haven't been here for a while, and as it was the only place that wasn't full on Mothers Day, you then realise why it was half empty. Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. The food and service is average to poor, yet they charge top dollar.. Oh well, at least they have free seats available.

Very rude and dirty looking man serving, trying to tell me chips cooked 10mins ago were fresh and then getting extremely rude with me. Delighted that I walked out and both he and the experience was enough to know I’ll never go back! Awful service. Plenty of other places to go instead!
