Do not go here. The price is outrageous even for the food (plan $10-14/meal). The professors are bad at teaching and disrespectful. One told me I am a failure of a college student because I passed out when an exam was happening. They also wont take many credits if you transfer. Additionally, I purchased expired food products. Just go to a state college.

For Prospective Students and Their Parents: You will not necessarily gain more if you pay more tuition. Consider options that are ABET-accredited programs at all reputable institutions and make an informed decision by comparing the curricula of different programs. Check US News for the program that you are looking for. For Prospective Faculty Members: If you are considering joining this University, please be aware of the following: 1. The retirement plan is not included for faculty members in their first year by default. Make sure to negotiate the inclusion of a retirement package in your first-year contract with your Dean. 2. Starting in 2023, new faculty members will receive 2% less in their retirement accounts due to a decision by the faculty union. They compromised the retirement plan of new faculty members and kept the salaries of currently employed faculty members increased. 3. Do not get upset when you figure out senior faculty members receive more benefits compared to newer faculty members. The union continuously has compromised benefits for newer faculty members while 'grandfathered' benefits for currently employed faculty members. Being a union member is not mandatory; however, you have no bargaining power if you decide not to be a union member. You must pay the union fee or instead library donation that will be deducted from your salary even if you are not a union member. 4. Residing in Scranton implies a %3.4 local income tax in addition to the %3.07 flat rate tax in PA. For Prospective Staff: The retirement plan is not included in their first year by default.

Remember back in the day when college girls were hot? Not anymore.... Driving past this campus I felt like I was driving through a weight loss clinic.

Not in compliance with accreditation standards and way overpriced given the low value of the online graduate programs. You're essentially told to buy a book and teach yourself. There aren't any lectures provided, engagement from instructors is very rare or doesn't occur at all, and worse, there is a disturbing lack of oversight and low standards that enables instructors to do as they please even if they aren't fulfilling their obligations and adhering to the school's alleged standards. We had one professor that didn't even post all the grades for week 1 even AFTER the LAST week. Unreal. If you want the degree, go here. If you want a quality education and truly want to learn, look elsewhere. And the career resources are awful.

Price is what you pay, value is what you get. I can't speak to the value of the on-site programs, but the value of the online programs is quite disappointing and does not align with the institution's accreditation status. I've only added 1 star because I've had a very select few instructors that were actually attentive and genuinely cared to assist students. So, let me summarize what you get with an online education here. You're essentially directed to buy an overpriced textbook (which sometimes is marked up at a premium at the school versus the actual publishing firm...interesting), directed to engage with peers in a forum without any interaction from instructors where most simply recite the text almost verbatim, given a "lecture" which is most often a file of paraphrased content derived directly from the text lacking meaningful context to help students grasp the content, and then left to your own devices to complete assignments which can be tough when covering complex concepts and being provided resources with contradictory content. If you're just looking to "check the box" then by all means go for it, but if you truly want to learn and derive value from something that you are paying (generously) for then opt for an on-site program, at the least. My MBA is basically just a $40k home decor item that's added zero value to my career whatsoever. Be wise with your time and money.

For people that think the looks of the university is good, or their programs are good, i been through it all and i know the truth behind the college. They false advertise business degrees, force you to pay and take classes you DON'T need, force you to take religious courses AGAINST your Beliefs (Disrespectful), on top of everything they won't even agree upon paying their employees like Meintenance for example a proper living wage which should at least be $15/hr or more. Making it worse they force Freshman students to have a Food Plan (making YOU pay for it!), and don't forget Dorming Costs rising in the tens of thousands of dollars on/off campus not even including any tuition fees if not covered for. High End College? More like a High End Problem, GO ELSEWHERE!

Beautiful campus and easy parking. Loved the atmosphere and a Starbucks was on campus.

CAS advising is a nightmare to work with, very unhelpful and unaccomodating to students needs and situations, unresponsive, high tuition with dont care attitude, who will they assist if not their own students, few professors are below average , its a shame, avoid this university unless you do not have any other option, they simply do not care about the student except at the orientations when they just talk high about themselves.

Had a college tour. Very informative and helpful student made our time there excellent. Could see my daughter spending next 4 years there

Sheila Strickland in the University of Scranton Office of the Registrar is amazing. She makes sure students feel comfortable learning how to get what they need when they’re new to the school to the point of walking to show how to get to the bookstore in time before they close. What an angel!

Overblown university. Has ruined the Hill Section and downtown area in many ways. Students, mostly NJ kIds, are annoying and at times destructive to local properties. This University has put a burden on Scranton.

A very pretty school, I didn't go their personally but my brother has spent 4 years their and will be going for his master's next year, the school deserves a good review, even if I'm not the religious type myself.

My daughter goes to the school as she is in her 2nd year there. She is also a RA. Its a Great school.

I was there with my daughter for a college visit. Our tour guides were very well organized and thorough. Hopefully we'll get to see the campus when the grounds are in full bloom.

Below average. Hit or miss professors, (READING OFF SLIDES IS NOT teaching). Advisors are average but unresponsive at times. Admissions does average. Pricey, everything is. A lot of religious tasks, I get that it's a Jesuit University but I have 7 religious classes for my lineup in all 4 years and Jesus ain't filling my bank account sorry to say. If you have transfer credits they will rarely take them from anywhere and instead count them all as free electives. Removed a star as I bought expired food products twice. I honestly regret going here, save your money go to a community or state College, you'd be getting a MUCH better education.

I would not recommend going to this college. The cost of it not worth it. I literally was going back and worth with financial aid and bursa because they kept making mistake. Its so horrible I could had waited for Fall semester to start at a state college in New York. I had the worst experience here.

Eloquent combination of humor, a tasteful mood, and a connection to the past, present, and future. Quite a find in a city with little more to offer then questionable seafood, and at times worrying air quality.

Attended a graduation that I anticipated would he long and drawn out. Much to my surprise it was precise, well planned and not boring!!

College kids get good education and around Christmas time they hold an amazing breakfast for everyone in the area and don't turn anyone away have a gift for everyone even the kids

Went here for a Boy Scout Eagle dinner. Food was great, lay out was easy to find, staff was very accommodating.

This joke of a university is so poorly run it’s ubsurd. Not even close to being worth 20k a year in tuition let alone 60k. You’re better off at a state school.

Thought Summer classes in July, World Cultures and American Govt. Kinda disappointed, expected a bit more cosmopolitanism and diversity among the faculty and staff. Loved my wonderful students, especially ROTC's.

I had an tremendous four years here. I wish I could re-live it all over again. They have an excellent atmosphere for a young growing mind, filled with professors who don't love to teach, but love to help you learn. The social atmosphere was something I will cherish forever, and has fostered some amazing true friendships that I still have to this day.
