Outstanding food with lovely hospitality. Everyone in the restaurant was having a good time with lots of laughter and this is no doubt down to the great friendly service and authentically cooked food. Definitely recommend this place.

Visited recently, was expecting high things after seeing other reviews, I must have been eating in a different restaurant!! Starters very good, main poor poor poor, lasagne served with no additions of garlic bread or salad, chips served with others mains were frozen chips! Tiramisu is the worst I have ever eaten, a sponge cake with cream, have brought better from supermarkets, walked out wondering what I had paid for and certainly why I had paid it!!, Will never return

We stopped here as passing through Grantham and it was FANTASTIC. You could be forgiven for thinking it’s Wednesday and service would be poor. Food was fantastic and the staff very friendly. Proper proper home made cooking done to a high standard. And the secret? The set menu is not a “let’s cut corners” affair. Very very good value @ £22

Was surprised to see this has such high ratings to be honest. It’s nice and easy inside and the staff are welcoming and attentive, but the food is very average. The menu is good, plenty of options but I would doubt anything is cooked fresh (certainly not the carbonara anyway). Pretty sure I heard a few microwave ‘dings’ whilst we were there, which makes sense as to how they managed to get the food volcanic hot when it arrived on the table.

My family went here before lockdown and were pleased to find that the service and quality are as good now as they ever were. Lovely place. Advise booking as it is a small restaurant and there were limited tables free when we visited on a Wednesday.

We came 4 years ago while staying locally for a weekend away. 4 years ago the food and service was amazing. We decided to to come back with friends and it didn’t disappoint. The food was fantastic. The service was great. Couldn’t of been any better.

My husband and I visited here as recommended by my parents, it did not disappoint. For starters we shared the cheese and garlic bread which was really tasty. For mains I had the mushroom risotto, it was delicious and a really decent sized portion. I had a large glass of house white wine and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was so ended up having another. Service was good too. We will definitely visit here again if over Grantham. They managed to squeeze us in on a Friday evening which was a pleasant surprise. I am always a sucker for a bruschetta starter whenever I see it on the menu but it was quite average. Nothing particularly special and the ciabatta/baguette style bread was quite disappointing. That being said, my pizza for a main and my friends vegetarian spaghetti dish were very much enjoyed by us both and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. If I was passing through Grantham again, I would be happy to stop by and have a pizza (just perhaps no starter!)

Not sure what the good reviews are all about, but it certainly did not hit the mark for us. We went there based on the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, but were left quite disappointed. From the starters to the mains, everything was subpar. The bread was supermarket baguette, the calamari were soggy and everything drowning in very salty tomato sauce - including the lobster ravioli which was served with parmesan. Needless to say that we will not be returning.

My Family and I have been going to Iulianos for years now. It is hands down the best place in Grantham to eat. All of the staff are just wonderful and their Menu is fantastic. Even if you are not into the typical Italian food of PIzza/Pasta, other items such as the Steaks are incredible! There is something for everyone. Everyone we have either taken or recommended have come away with nothing but good things to say about them. Even during Lockdown, their Take Aways were always wonderful. Piping hot and cooked to perfection!!

We had another lovely meal here. My partner had the lasagne and I had the carbonara and for starters we had a garlic bread with cheese to share as it is quite large as are all the portions. All the staff are lovely and friendly.

We were supposed to be visiting the restaurant in July but had to cancel due to local restrictions cancelling our trip. When we were trying to arrange that the restaurant was very flexible helping us to fit in. We rebooked the hotel for October, so said we would definitely visit the restaurant. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, with the current environment apparently bookings are up and down. It would be easy to get despondent, however we still received a very friendly service, nothing was lacking. All the food was excellent, I had the mussels, my wife the baked mushrooms and my daughter the garlic bread. We all then had pasta followed by Tiramisu. The business is clearly struggling with people not going out, but I would definitely recommend supporting this independent and friendly restaurant.

Lovely little restaurant, full of character and a warm welcome from the family running it. Decent menu, and they're happy to adapt and mix & match the items for you. Food very tasty and hot, and wine is great value.Would eat here again next time in the area

We had dinner at Julianos on a Friday night, the restaurant was very nice, clean & plenty of space between the tables. We had a table of 4, I had mushroom bruschetta & a very British carbonara with lots of creamy sauce & an excellent cheesy garlic bread. All the food was excellent & tasty - I would recommend, thank you

A quiet Sunday night and four of us arrived and were well looked after. The food is good and the chicken with asparagus and gorgonzola is particularly recommended. Friendly service and good value.

Me and 2 friends just turned up to this restaurant without a booking and the staff accommodated us and really made us feel welcome. On the point of the staff the 2 ladies were smiling and joking with their guests all night but at the same time running a superb restaurant to what I would say was efficiency. They also advised on the wine to the foods and the foods to the person like they did with me and it worked so well. I told them wot I liked and they advised there forward. I would recommend this restaurant 110% and when I’m back up this way that’ll be my first restaurant to call in. I wanna thank y’all for the amazing experience in your restaurant. Brilliant meal of calamari, and then sea bass. Fish was cooked to perfection accompanied by spaghetti in a garlic infused olive oil. Will be returning..

I thought I'd complete a review for a fantastic meal we had at Juliano's recently. I don't usually go out of my way to post a review, but the Juliano's experience certainly merits it. I've eaten some of the freshest and tastiest meals in Umbria and Tuscany over the years, and I usually bemoan the fact that much as I love Italian food, it's never quite the same in the UK as it is in Italy. Not so with Juliano's - really authentically prepared Italian food. We had filletto al Pepe and pasta with amatriciana sauce - can certainly recommend these dishes. We got a table on a Saturday at short notice, but I guess we were lucky - it's not a big place, which makes it a great place for an intimate dinner for two, so I'd suggest book ahead.Highly recommended.

We have now visited several times and each time we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Service with a smile from the lovely ladies running the restaurant. It is only a small place so booking is advisable!

Have visited this restaurant now a couple of times and it has been excellent- the staff are really friendly helpful and attentive- atmosphere is really pleasant , restaurant is small but this adds to the charm of the place and the food is to die for- tried the steaks on both occasions and theses were the best we’ve had the sauces were amazing- all in all a must place to eat can’t wait to go back

Four friends visited for an evening meal and we had a good time. Busy little place for a Thursday evening which indicates it's one of the more popular restaurants. The food was enjoyable although the frito misto of mixed seafood was rather too heavily battered for us, not terribly authentic but being so far inland achieving a fresher product may perhaps be more problematic,a tempura batter would have been lovely. HoweverI would visit again.

I just can't get enough of that amazing place. The only thing I regret is that I didn't visit Iuliano earlier. The food is absolutely outstanding and the service is one of the most professional I've ever experienced!

We've had a third visit to this hidden gem and can't praise the service highly enough. There were 2 very large parties in when we went however we were served quickly and efficiently by the 2 front of house ladies. These girls have hospitality down to a fine art! Making serving a full restaurant look easy.

I recently visited for my partner's birthday but this was not my first visit. Once again the experience was fantastic. The service was quick, friendly and every course was delicious. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and relaxing. I had the fillet steak with gorgonzola sauce and I highly recommend it, followed by the white chocolate cheesecake which was a real treat. I've visited all the Italian restaurants Grantham has to offer and in my opinion this place is consistently the best. It really is my restaurant of choice, not only for a casual meal but for any occasion. A real gem. They also serve an excellent cosmopolitan cocktail. Look forward to visiting again soon.

I came by Julianos for dinner just last week for my first time. Its a little restaurant, the cost of the food is really appropriate, and the dishes are pretty traditional Italian: pastas, salads, etc.. they are not re-inventing the wheel here, but they are running it pretty smoothly.

Group of friends met up in Grantham, never been before....we came across this restaurant. The food was fantastic, we all had 3 courses and no one was disappointed. The house white wine was also good. Staff lovely, great atmosphere would definitely recommend!

We stopped off at Julianos on our way home from a road trip, it was some of the best Italian food we have had. The pizza was amazing, my two young kids ate almost all their 12” pizzas! The pasta and risotto were also delicious. We are still talking about the cheesecake as well!The staff, including the cook, were very nice. We will find an excuse to make our way through Grantham again just to get some Juliano’s.

5 of us visited Julianos early evening - really good authentic Italian food, all reasonably priced as was the wine. Really friendly staff, very efficient service. 3 of us had pasta dishes, 1 had risotto and one daily special (a chicken dish) all well prepared and very tasty! We all agreed probablythe best Italian restaurant in Grantham

Visited here Sunday evening had an excellent meal. 3 super courses and an excellent choice of wines to accompany the meal. Excellent value and really enjoyable. Service was first class too. We will definitely return.

Good food and wine reasonably priced. Staff friendly and attentive. Have been several times over the years, door still doesn’t close properly which is a nuisance when sitting near entrance.

Not tried this one before and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a lovely rustic feel and is small enough to feel cozy without being crowded. The menus was quite extensive and there was plenty of choice. Had the salmon in Prosecco sauce - delicious. Service was excellent and very friendly and it was reasonably priced.

We enjoyed a relaxed meal in the restaurant. It wasn't particularly busy, being a Sunday evening between Christmas and New Year.

Dropped in for a meal on a Sunday evening. This is a nice restaurant, the menu is varied and the service extremely friendly. The portions were huge and the house red wine great value in a large 1 L bottle. The starter of green peppers stuffed with various things smothered in cheese and baked in the oven was delicious and the penne with sausage and meatballs had a sauce that was amazingly rich and delicious. If you find yourself in Grantham visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed.

My first visit and I was not disappointed. Had a table for 4 total bill £87.90, included a bottle of wine, couple of beers and one coffee. We started with garlic pizza, nice and tomato and garlicy. Three of us had pasta, generally around £9/£10 and boss lady had steak. Food was all piping hot and tasted great. Service was good, attentive if not overly so. We did have a bit of a wait for starters, but that was fine. All in a great experience and will visit again.

We visited for the first time and were very impressed. The service was attentive but not over bearing. The food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of choice. It is reasonably priced and we hope to return again very soon.

Visited this evening for our son's birthday. Service was prompt, a huge choice on the menu, prices were good and most importantly the food was delicious.

I ate here recently whilst visiting the area with family, we booked after reading the online reviews and definitely weren't disappointed. The food here was beautiful and the portions very generous. The staff were nice and friendly and happy to help with questions about the menu. Its only a small place so it has a nice homely feel. Would definitely like to return, excellent job!

Friendly staff. Great service. Delicious food. Lasagne was great, light and tasty - not stodgy at all. Accompanying salad was also great. House wine was very drinkable. All the food seemed to be made with quality ingredients - nice cherry tomatoes etc. Husband's calzone pizza was superb. Wish the restaurant was in our local town!

Best italian restaurant I’ve been to!

I booked a table about a week before we visited. When we arrived, Anna said we could have veal (which wasn't on the menu) but there was no obligation, as, if we didn't want it she would put it on the Specials Menu tomorrow. Yet again, Franco had specially bought some, just in case I wanted it! The veal was fantastic ;) Incredible service. Fantastic food. Absolutely exceptional standard in this small, family run Italian restaurant. Well worth a very long drive - I'd do it just for the peperoni al forno starter! It's hard to find a restaurant which is consistently excellent; so to find one which is consistently exceptional is a real bonus. If you are reading this review, I hope you enjoy your visit to Julianos as much as we did :)

My pizza was huge, so were other meals. Everyone was happy and full, but we need to ask for more chips.

My husband and I went to Juliano's for dinner after seeing the good ratings. The food was delicious. I especially recommend the pana cotta for dessert; very light and creamy. The service was prompt and friendly. My only complaint is that the music ruined the atmosphere somewhat. It wasn't bad music, it was just a bit strange. Still, we had a delightful experience.

Called bank holiday Monday with my other half for the 1st time,all I need say is food,staff and the place itself absolutely wonderful...a must if you're in or around Grantham and you love Italian food...you will not be disappointed.

Though quiet at the time I visited, it was clear some guests were regulars. The restaurant is friendly, cosy and authentic. The food was very tasty and the service good. I would definitely recommend this place.

The lovely people who run this fabulous little Italian restaurant should be really proud of themselves. Everything about it is faultless: the quality of the ingredients; the perfectly balanced and seasoned dishes; the immaculate tablecloths; the wonderful menu choices (with several original options in addition to the normal favourites); the genuinely warm welcome and comfortable ambiance and the first class service. We drove for nearly an hour each way to enjoy another fantastic meal here; passing literally dozens of other restaurants on the way. Why? Because it's worth it!!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and the food was fantastic, definitely an authentic Italian experience. Great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Had the set menu and it was better than most places a la carte.

Desserts were home made and very nice. Went there solo on business trip. Enjoyed a thoroughly tasty meal with nice glass of house red wine. Stuffed pepper starter very tasty and filling and chicken with lovely creamy sauce and pasta made an excellent main. I couldn't resist having affogato for dessert. All...

My wife and I visited this quaint husband and wife run restaurant that was nothing short of FABULOUS. The mushroom appetizer should be a main dish!! Could have eaten 4 of them!!! The home made cheesecake was the best we have ever had. Highly recommended this to anyone looking for truly authentic Italian food and at a VERY reasonable price! A+++

We went here on a Monday evening due to the first 2 places we wanted to try not being open. We always try to eat at local restaurants rather than chains when we travel.

Myself, husband and two sons visited Julianos after recommendations. We hadn't booked but arrived at 6 and shown to a table straight away. The staff were attentive and pleasant. All our meals were delicious and a good size. I had the mushroom risotto and side salad which was very tasty. The restaurant was full by the time we left and considering it was a cold Wednesday evening, this shows how popular this place is. Will definitely be returning soon.

Took my teenage daughter and adult son here for a post concert supper. Excellent choice. Enjoyed the meal. Didn't wait long for service. Enjoyed all our choices.

Although veal is not on the current menu, the chef specifically ordered some, as he knew how much I loved it! We thoroughly enjoyed another wonderful meal here at Julianos: every dish was piping hot, freshly prepared and STUNNING. I was absolutely gutted that I didn't have room for tiramisu; but the lemon sorbet with Limoncello was almost equally gorgeous and far less filling, after my fabulous starter and main dish! This authentic little Italian restaurant, with its perfect ambiance and lovely staff, is a real treat - and well worth the 200 mile round trip. Can't wait to return but wish I lived nearer!

Absolutely amazing. We didn't arrive until 9:30pm and they couldn't have been more accomidating. The food was to die for and so was the wine. A very enjoyable evening and would recommend to anyone. Top class restaurant.

As visitors to Grantham, we were drawn here by Trip Advisor reviews and it didn't disappoint! We might have missed it from the outside, but the food was delicious, and freshly cooked to order by the delightful owners. Service was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed our 3-course dinner - thank you! If we are ever in Grantham again, we will return.

I have eaten at the same Italian restaurant in Enfield for over 30 years and regularly visit friends in Italy. This is the ONLY restaurant where I have ever eaten food as good as the wonderful meals my Italian friend prepares. The service was 100% and the pasta: fabulous. My all-time favourite dish (veal with mushrooms in white wine and cream) was the best I have been served in a restaurant in over 20 years; and the tiramisu was absolutely divine. As for the starters... they're the best I've ever had: generous, delicious, still bubbling from the oven and beautifully presented. Grantham will now become a regular weekend away for us - just to repeat this culinary treat. TripAdvisor needs a 6 star rating for EXCEPTIONAL and, as a TripAdvisor Top Contributor, I recommend that this is the first restaurant to qualify!

We wanted a really good Italian Meal in Grantham and by luck hit on Julianos.It's in Wharf Road and, to be honest, it's not much to look at from the outside.However it turned out to be a really good find.It has quite and extensive Menu and all four of us had different meals all of which were excellent.The Service was superb and the Wine extremely good.It seems like one of those old school Italian Restaurants which takes great pride in their food and deliver it in a friendly manner.We would highly recommend Julianos to anyone who wants authentic Italian cuisine with a great atmosphere.

We visited here on Friday night, booking is strongly recommended, we had to! Well known in Grantham and having asked which one to go to as there is another Italian in Grantham, both people we spoke to recommended this one! This is a small restaurant, the food was delicious and didn't feel rushed in any way to eat and leave, as you so often do in other places. My partner and I shared the fried mozzarella as a starter, and nibbled on garlic bread too. We both had a chicken dish for main course and were so full we weren't able to manage a dessert. As this is our 'local' restaurant there is no doubt that we will be going back, couldn't fault it! From the service, to the friendliness of the staff to the food everything was just right, thank you for a lovely evening Iulianos

We visited and had the set menu. Wow. What incredible food! My partner had bruschetta whilst I had fried mozzarella. Both beautiful. For mains my partner had cannelloni whilst I went for chicken cacciatore. Again two tasty and individually prepared meals with fresh ingredients and tasty sauces. The chicken breast was tender, and covered in sauce full of tomatoesand mushrooms. But it was desserts that most impressed. My caramel cheesecake was delicious! Base was not too sweet, and the topping light creamy and a delight. Ice creams were clearly of a good quality. Even the coffee was special- beans were ground, and my latte arrived with a generous amount of creamy milk. Altogether a wonderful top quality meal at a bargain price. Don't miss this place- it looks a bit sad from outside on the street, but the food is really incredible!

My husband and I ate here on Friday night. The restaurant is quite small but it generates a really lovely, cosy feeling - especially for a date night. We had starters; highly recommend the caprese and the prosciutto & mozarella. My husband had veal for an entree and said it was fabulous. I enjoyed the spaghetti carbonara - I love carbonara and this was my favourite one to date! I wish I could've eaten more, but the portion was very generous and I have an intolerance to wheat so have to eat small portions. It was worth it. For dessert we had panna cotta and profiteroles - again, both so so good! Three courses and drinks, including beer, came to just over £50. Worth every single penny; we will definitely be back in future. The ladies staffing the restaurant were really lovely and provided spotless service. Thank you very much!

We tried to get a table at Julianos on Saturday but they were full so we booked for the Sunday, taking the fact that they were busy as a good sign. On the Sunday we were not disappointed. The food was good and reasonably priced and the waitress was lovely. Friendly, efficient and really made our evening.
