Quality chip shop, friendly staff, you can pay by cash or card. Food was lovely. I had battered sausage and chips. Really quick service.

Fish cooked fresh and on order. Service is quick and food tastes nice. I would prefer chips cooked a little longer but have been here several times and never had a bad meal

I love this fish and chip shop. It's a small family-owned business. The food is always delicious, they never seem to have off days where the food isnt as good. They also use quality products so you never get anything icky in your food. Honestly, try this place. It's good honest food with no airs or graces. The staff are always lovely and friendly and it's always very clean!

I have been visiting Juggas for over 5 years ! Usually once a week and sometimes more. Wonderful friendly service and fantastic tasting fresh food which is also really good value, what more could anyone want!My hubby loves the kebab wraps and my daughters think the gravy is the best :)Thanks Jugga

I got fish and chips and 2 pineapple rings and it was degusing hardy no fish but batter and pineapple ring were just batter . It was worse take away I ever has . The place gone right down hill . I think she trying save me et by using battery and cheap chip oil . Think about before you buy blackhil or delves lane far better DONT BUY AT THIS SHOP

Great fish and chips place in the heart of Consett. As soon as you walk into the shop they ask you if you want fish and cook a fresh one then and there.... they set a timer for each individual fish and serve it, literally couldn't be any fresher. Large fish and chips costs £5.10, only complaint is their garlic sauce, it's too thick and too garlicky.

Fish made to order, so no worries about getting stale food, also my daughter wanted something which was not on the menu, but they made it for her all the same.This is a family run business the way family run businesses used to be ran and should be ran - nothing is too much trouble, the food is cooked to order and they are pleasant and very friendly.Very nice indeed.

It's probably the best thing that is in Consett, it's small and basic (but What more do you need), and I'm big fan. The food that they serve is always as it should be and to be perfectly honest it's really really nice. Staff are friendly and welcoming and top it off there menu is to satisfy all with a very good value for money. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic fish, made to order, couldn’t ask for fresher, would recommend the southern fried chicken wrap, daughter loved it and our son thinks best battered sausage ever. Top class customer service, very friendly, would go again and again.

Best place in consent. Kebab meat is to die for and the fish and sausages always have a lovely taste. My son especially enjoys the chips and gravy and the pies. Would highly recommend!!

Bloody awful!! Me & my partner were passing through this horrid town & thought we would look for a chippy, he had fish n chips I had battered sausage n chips, the batter tasted like plastic, there was dark brown oil in the carton, rock hard batter, I don't think the oil gets changed very often if at all, the sausage tasted bloody gross, I felt sick all day just thinking about it! Gross town and a dirty takeaway don't use this place! Its f@c*ing disgusting!

Coming from out of town I was really disappointed in my lunch from here yesterday. The oil used to cook the fish was about a year past it's changing date, made the batter lousy. Left a sickly fatty feeling in my stomach for several hours. If this place is rated then I'd hate to live here and eat this every week, thank god I don't!

Family run chippy. Very friendly staff food is amazing & absolutely huge portion sizes. Prices are very reasonable too. Visit regularly as its nice food & highly recommended

The quality of the food here is good and with a good variety of dishes a visit here is very worthwhile.

Used to love the place but after today I won't be returning. My partner ordered large battered sausage and chips with batter, salt and vinegar and a large curry sauce. Instead I got half a sausage no batter or salt and vinegar on my chips and a small curry sauce. Decided to write a post on Facebook because there was no private message for them to comment back to basically say my partner was lying and he asked for the half sausage because he didn't want to wait 5 minutes which is not true! When I commented back they have deleted the post! Obviously the elderly lady serving was not listening to him properly because she got basically all of the order wrong and she is the only one we have problems with when we order food from here because she walks away as you are telling your order! Customer service skills need sorted out too!

Had meals from here a few times now and the fish is always superb. The chicken nuggets are proper chicken . Portions of chips are huge , easily share one between two people. Recommend

Good Food, Good People, Good Location. Kebab and chips is my favourite and in the 10 years of getting it here I have never been disappointed. My wife feels the same way about their rissole and chips. The fish is made to order and always nice. The people who own the place are really welcoming and nice. As for the location, there is a small free carpark right across the street, and another much larger one less than 50 yards away. Its simply a really good chippy.

I popped in for some chips at lunch time. They were very fresh and really tasty. I think I want to go back soon to try more!!!
