Very enjoyable take away, delivered promptly, great value, would certainly recommend the delicious meal which we received tonight

Went seriously down hill and we avoided until.we heard things had changed??? Nov 2020 new name ..... Bloody lovely grub now .. Hurrah !!!!!!

We ordered a delivery at 19.00 and were told it would be an hour. At 20.20 we called to chase and were told her husband was leaving. At 20.45 we got a call to say he was lost and couldn’t find the house. I offered directions but he said I will be ten minutes. Then ten minutes later I called back and he said sorry he was lost and he’s cancelled the order and is driving back. I offered to walk to tesco to meet him or somewhere he knew but he said no sorry I give up. Two hours of waiting and no Chinese. I called the office and the lady pretended to know nothing of my order and then said ‘okay byeeee’ and hung up on me. I didn’t lose my temper at al and understand delays happen but I am genuinely baffled and shocked at the lack of customer service and the waste of two hours of my life. We then called Midhurst Chinese who had our order 15 minutes later if anyone wondered what else to do.

In the times of lock down, i find it hard to beleive that a take away will not except payment buy card, Have used this takeaway for years, food very good but to charge £2 for a quarter mile delivery seems hard. But that is my choice. but only to except cash for delivery and collection seems hard and not advertised. For that will never you'se again

Ordered a take out as used to like JRs. Was told it would be 30 mins. I gave them 45, and still had to wait 20 minutes. Infuriating, made worse my the blandness of the food. Ingredients were OK but Peking chicken - which should be slightly sweet, but horribly salty, and beef with spring onions, had just regular onions and seemed to be in the same sauce as the chicken. Spare ribs equally dull. Never again.

So good to have an excellent Chinese takeaway in our village again, after more than a year of abstaining from Chinese food, can only say that the two takeaways which we have recently tried have been excellent. Brilliant service, tasty beautifully presented food, fast efficient service, fairly priced, comprehensive menu. Two new regulars!!!!!

Myself and my boyfriend ordered a last minute takeaway. Cant fault the delivery time (being in Midhurst) however really werent impressed with what we were delivered!! The 'crispy shredded chicken' tasted like burnt pork scratchings (definately didnt taste like chicken- i would put money on that it wasnt!) we only ordered from here as the Midhurst one was shut and wouldnt visit again!! Definately should've chosen an indian!!

Enormous menu... you can get lost in it, but reliable, tasty, and fair value for money. Quirky too, in that we always seem to get given a freebie, anything from a bottle of Tesco sparking water or a can of Tango, to bottles of beer, enormous bags of prawn crackers! You never know what's going to be thrown in with your order... We've always enjoyed the food, and as other reviewers have said, you could set your watch by the delivery time (although I always order a couple of hours' in advance just to be sure). Recommended.

The best thing about this takeaway is that they provide a delivery service. Perhaps we chose the wrong menu, but we opted for the set meal for two. Starters consisted of one triangle each (1/4 slice) overdone prawn toast, one rib each and sugary seaweed. The sauces in the main meal were just watery with no flavour...a bit like weak bisto. Won't bother here again and would rather drive further afield for chinese that at least tastes like chinese.

Our first try at ordering a meal for home delivery. From the person answering the phone to the delivery Man the Service was absolutely amazing. Fresh hot delicious absolutely the best Chinese we have ever had in Haslemere and it arrived exactly the time we asked for. What was also exceptional was the extras in the delivery A beautiful Calender and Incense burners We would recommend JR to anyone that would like a fabulous Chinese delivered to your door. Price was right and despite it being freezing cold the Driver was courteous and very friendly JR is now our favourite Chinese

I haven't been to JR Chinese takeaway since it changed hands until this evening. In its favour the food was ready bang on time. But that's all that was good about it. The food was overcooked. The chicken and the prawns were very soggy. The noodles were as though they had been left over from earlier days and warmed up. The prawn crackers were ok. The rice was fine. My mouth feels as though it is full of monosdodium glutamate. What a waste of money. It was way better under previous management.

If I want a takeaway I always order from JR. The food is always piping and very consistent. Good service. They deliver to Midhurst for no extra cost. I much prefer the food to Yenvinh in Midhurst. Less greasy and better quality meat.

I haven't been to the restaurant but I would recommend J R Chinese Takeaway! They have fast delivery and good food that is consistent. The delivery man is also great & very polite.

Good solid Chinese takeaway with consistent standard of food. I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful.

Great local chinese takeaway, good value and good food Delivery option, with a friendly driver who always ensures he is as quick as possible so you get piping hot food. Would recommend ordering the Special Fried Rice

Local area takeaway, always good service, food ok but nothing more than you'd expect from most takeaways taste wise. They do have quite an extensive menu though so should definitely be something there to please everyone.

JR Chinese is great the food is the best around and reasonable prices. Never had a problem. And will continue to use on a regular basis.
