Spacious campervan spots with fire pit provided. Excellent location in the heart of Snowdonia with a direct route to climb Snowdon. Toilets adequate but showers excellent with plenty of hot water. There is an outdoor pub, pizzeria and cafe available for breakfast and dinner at weekends which I would recommend especially the Snowdon cider

Great location at the base of snowdon, but… When arriving and setting up tent, fields unclean and waterlogged with goose poo. Very deep potholes towards the campsite after the wedding reception road. Then after 2 days of camping, we received an “urgent” note - and went to reception as soon as we saw it. This was about us being camped out too near an EV post, which was subsequently resolved. Then the next day (our last night) around 10pm, the wardens accuse us of not responding - and lied saying they were at reception the entire previous night, so we couldn’t have spoken to them. Had to tell them both to look at CCTV. Even then they were asking us who was at reception as if they do not know the staffs’ shifts. Also completely understand the campsite cannot be clean over Easter but one of the weird designs was that every 2 showers was next to a toilet - which meant when showering, it reeked. The only thing we really appreciated was the site staff (not wardens) working throughout a busy weekend and answering any questions. Clearly a campsite that is very badly managed - they will overbook and then have no idea who is in the campsite.

One the best campsites in the UK. Clean, tidy and tranquil. Great staff and it’s awesome to see the ongoing investment in the facilities. Rest rooms are spacious and well maintained.

Nestled in a picturesque valley, right next to the serene Llyn Gwynant and within an ideal part of Snowdonia. Perfectly sized with plenty of amenities and very amiable staff.

My brother, a good friend and I all stayed here whilst doing Crib Goch, Snowdon. Excellent facilities, very friendly staff, great food and drink and if you are looking to do Snowdon you are not far away. We had an amazing time and I'm looking to take my fiancé and daughter to stay here next time I'm in Wales.

Fabulous site, amenities, location and the lake makes it outstanding

From the serene waters of the lake to the majestic rise of the surrounding mountains. It's truely a stunning place to hold a wedding and we've never had a bad experience. Steve & Danielle and the rest of the staff at Llyn Gwynant are just the friendliest and best people to work with. Each time I'm there it's like catching up with old friends. If you're looking for a proper North Wales wedding venue incorporating the majestic scenes and mountains, this is the venue for you.

My absolute favourite campsite. Lovely location, lovely views, great food, hot showers, we spend hours at the lake with the children.

I was really impressed with this campsite. It was a great location for heading out on some scrambling missions on some the local peaks. The place was well looked after and the food and drink provision was excellent

Beautiful area around the campsite and delicious pizzas. However this felt more like a holiday park rather than a relaxing retreat to nature. It was heaving on the weekend we went - difficult to find a parking space, sometimes far from the pitch. This campsite is definitely guilty of overbooking as everything was so busy. Massive queues for food, drinks and showers. Toilets very dirty. Everything is fairly overpriced in the shop onsite. There was meant to be quiet talking after 11pm... However screaming kids going for it until well after midnight. And the wedding venue blasting music too. It is a very beautiful area, but there are much quieter and nicer places in the area I would rather go to. If you want a quiet weekend in nature, this isn't that campsite for it. Felt like a mini Benidorm in Snowdonia.

Stayed here a few times the past 2 years but won't be going back for a long time! Very busy and crowded, the only toilets open are at reception so if your near the river anywhere it's a massive walk in the middle of the night to go to the loo. They've had weddings on the times we have stayed and they are extremely noisy till beyond 2am - the function might have ended but the guests stay in tents behind the barn and they carry on and their screaming and shouting carries very easily to the site. Had noise issues throughout the night off other campers aswell as the venue noise, even though they claim "no noise after 11pm" nothing is ever done about it. For a little more money I can stay in a caravan park or a cottage etc and forget about noisy neighbours and a 5 min walk to the toilets at night!

I initially booked to stay at Llyn Gwynant campsite due to its prime proximity to Snowden trails. What I found was a fantastically run site with friendly and helpful staff and clean decent facilities, not to mention the beautiful views and tranquility- though I can imagine it being a lot busier/louder when not camping in late October 😅 Highly recommended.

Cheap and cheerful, two fields a bit lumpy with very worn pitches. Gets extremely busy.

Wonderfully located next to picturesque lake. Can pitch tent or park car. Fire pits available, small shop and hot breakfast van. 1hr10min hike to base of Snowden. Way more beautiful that the pictures in real life!

Nice enough campsite with lovely scenery no argument for that but we left feeling like maybe we should not have bothered . think it's expensive campsite and overcrowded it's not proper camping at all didnt feel like camping to us. might do for those that barely camp but we live next to the peak district and we camp most weekends campsites are ten a penny take your pick , camp in beautiful woods or next to a enormous cave usually for less than ,£10 a night seemed like a waste of campsite money and fuel when we could have stayed local. Still you have to try these places.

Fantastic campsite, great facilities: Small onsite shop with all the essentials Outside bar serving hot and cold drinks Pizza counter, selling delicious freshly made pizza. Great staff. Polite and extremely informative. Can't wait to revisit when we have some better weather.

What can I say, could have been a great site but unfortunately the attitude and prejudice of the staff have completely ruined this especially with the high price. The staff from the start were extremely rude and their attitude was nothing short of disgusting. If you are wanting to go somewhere and enjoy yourself I would not recommend this site as the team their believe they are better than you and look down at you, running the site like a prison camp from the 1940s only missing a gas chamber. The amount of discrimination and hate towards the group was terrible to see in this day and age. I truly don’t wish anyone to have this same experience and hope the staff can become better people in future as the kind of views they currently have cannot stand anymore. Clearly would not return to this camp unless huge positive changes were made to be more inclusive and understanding towards the people paying very good money to stay. To the staff directly think about your words and actions and try to work on yourselves before attacking certain groups of people in future.

Worth it, loved it and would go back again without a doubt!! Lovely people 🙂🙌💯🏕️ P.s the local water tastes amazing.

Wonderful place with beautiful landscapes, great facilities like restaurants, grocery store... but they have not enough toilets for the amount of pitches available.

Loved it. The location is great for Snowdon. Easy S4 bus to Pen Y pass. £2 Very clean campsite The toilets etc were always being cleaned. The kitchen area is adequate. On site food looked good although we did not buy any. The shop sells most camping essentials. There are many fire pits dotted around for evening fires. Wood can be purchased on site. Would 100% recommend and return again.

Great campsite, I've camped here before so chose to test my new motorhome there. Dog friendly and fires permitted in firepits provided. Clean modern toilets and well stocked little shop. wifi reached to my pitch near the lake Great views and close to local village and short drive to Beddgelert. I can't recommend this site enough.

Wonderful campsite. It had been many years since I had visited here. I booked for a group of 30 people and the online booking system was very quick and easy to use. It would only allow me to book a max of 8 people per booking so it did require several booking names and all had different reference numbers. As they were booked with the same email address though the check in was incredibly simple and really speedy considering we all arrived at different points throughout the day. The site itself had everything we needed which is why I chose to take my group of young adults to this particular site. We climbed Mt Snowdon and it was the perfect location with only a 20 drive to the Llanberis train station. Lots of toilets and showers all cleaned regularly. Several washing up sinks for dirty dishes, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers which take £1 coins. Plus Pizza, taco and bar huts onsite too. Fire pitts, logs and kindling available also. The best things the group enjoyed most was the ability to hire boats/canoes/paddle boards onsite and use in the large lake.

The view are stunning. The campsite had everything I needed and more. Very accomidating.

Stayed September 2021 for 3 nights to walk snowdonia (doable from campsite 20k loop via miners path and down Watkin path around 6 hours) campsite facilities adequate for how busy it was. Was great location by the lake. Wood burners freely available with the wood/kindling available to purchase. Hot food available of an evening.

Had a really good 4 night stay here in April. It's a proper camp site not a holiday park or caravan site. We had a great pitch quite near to the lakeside which was wonderful for the kids to explore. Facilities were very good. Nice hot showers, clean toilets. Shop was well stocked but incredibly expensive. Not sure what it would be like at busy times as there is only one proper toilet block and the site seems quite big considering this.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz hat alles was man braucht, warme Duschen, saubere sanitäre Einrichtungen und war für mich ein guter Ort für meine Wanderungen. Bin jetzt im April hier, also vor der Saison. In der Saison wird hier noch einiges mehr angeboten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.

Lovely campsite right on the side of a beautiful lake nestled between the Snowdon mountains. Had all the utilities you could ask for including tumble dryers, showers, cooking and washing areas aswell as a local shop. Would definitely visit again as it is in perfect walking distance to the Pyg track of Snowdon.

Lovely venue. Friendly team to look after you. Beautiful scenery. NO phone signal which is great!! No interruptions! Plenty of places to walk. Well worth the visit/stay.

We loved our stay here just after Easter 2022; AMAZING location, great facilities, and not to mention really tasty and varied vegan food. As if a campsite has a vegan breakfast! And a hot water boiler (no more waiting for your brew!). Great spot to explore, perfect for wild swimming and lake activities alongside visiting the Snowdonia area. WiFi at the shop/reception works really well and it's great having no signal elsewhere so you can enjoy that. Definitely coming back.

Except great location (camp is surrounded by mountains) nothing was really as it should be. Overcrowded, overpriced. Only few showers, toilets (most of them was closed due to ? Who knows..) so you got only few showers and toilets in the main building, which showers has no power or hot water, if people using shower the same time as you do, forget about warm water (not even hot) and no pressure at all. Don't eat there, unless you want to suffer for food poisoning and have your holiday turn into nightmare. Don't recommend at all, it's so many places with better facility and better prices.

The lady who checked us in was lovely and gave us the run down of the camp and sorted some mistakes in our booking as well! Firewood and portable fireplaces were offered for free. T'was great! The lake next to the site was stunning, and the photos should reflect this!

We stayed here to celebrate my daughters 3rd birthday in September. It was our first family with our little boy and we all had a fantastic time. We booked to stay in the bell tents, the children thought they were magical with the fairy lights & decor. We were very happy to discover they had real bed in them too. The facilities were wonderful with the pizza and burritos on the first night, the hot water on tap to prepare bottles for the kids, the shop and most importantly the amazing staff, nothing was too much trouble. When the children were asleep it was stunning to sit out side by the fire & stargaze. Such a lovely campsite and relieved to have other friendly campers who kept the noise levels down when it got later so we all managed a good sleep & the babes didn't wake. We even managed some wild swimming in the lake. We can't wait to return, best holiday ever would 100% recommend

Attended the Dragon rally there, didn't stay as it was extreme conditions, & my tent was leaking. Could do with a WiFi connection so you can stay intouch with the outside world.

Too busy and over crowded , yobbo site , not a site for families , had lads drink driving on the campsite roads. Look at the 1and 2 star reviews on TripAdvisor.

We just spent from the 30th into the new year....we had a great time and the local area is amazing.

Great place, good facilities ideal for a good break away

Really good campsite. Visited for the first time earlier this year; for the price, you can’t really go too far wrong. I have to disagree with some of the reviews that question the shower / toilet blocks; we found them to be clean, the water warm - couldn’t really fault them. Facilities were good too, food available for those that don’t want to cook and the location was amazing. Even better though - NO PHONE SIGNAL! Only reason its not 5* from me: on our first evening we arrived late and it was dark, we were issued a map where locations on where we could camp were marked. We found one of these points to be completely empty so pitched up; only to be confronted by a rather grumpy member of staff who questioned why we were there. We showed them the map; clearly stating we were in the right place, for them to say “well you shouldn’t be camping there, they shouldn’t have said you could camp there”….. just put a downer on the evening!

Perfect location for Mt Snowdon hikers as you can start your hike from this site (extra hours), the site comes with all necessary and clean facilities. Additionally this campsite serves hot meals. We enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear river and Kayaking in the lake. We went in wet season in August Bank holiday weekend but yet had a great experience. Trying to schedule another camping trip here in the summer.

Fab place better when not so busy

Great facilities. And we did the kayaking last time we stay which was great fun. Big site but great facilities, plenty of showers, boiling water tank, kitchen area, microwaves, dryers. All very practical and in good condition.

Great campsite with its own lake. If your into kayaking etc this is a great site for you. Family friendly with a festival feel in the evening. Great facilities and helpful staff. Shops are quite a distance away and I would suggest bedgellert for a day out and provisions. Supplies are available on site along with pizza and beer however it is a little on the pricey side so be sure to take as much as you can with you.

Great location , expensive and dirty facilities

Great campsite on a beautiful lake and very close to mount Snowdon. Bathroom facilities and not very modern but perfectly decent. Showers and included in price and are nice and warm. There is a little show selling essentials. There is a free WiFi at front desk. And there is hot food served daily. I had pie and mash and it was delicious. Very reasonably priced for two of us in a VW camper. I would deffo go back here next time I am in the area.

Had our first stay here end of September after meaning to visit for years and it definitely surpassed our expectations. Very friendly and helpful staff, very busy site but still not noisy, stunning surroundings, the food from the pizzeria and bar was absolutely AMAZING and our 8 y/o and I had a fantastic time having our first go at canoeing (the guy in charge of this was also really friendly and helpful). Facilities are great too; toilets, showers, kitchen area for cleaning dishes, shop with food, drinks and camping equipment. Not a bad word to say about the site. We will definitely be back

Superb location with walks from the site and access to the lake. Would've given 5 stars but it was just a little untidy in places. But probably due to a busy season.

Great view, I was a bit disappointed that they charge per person for day entry! I Tuesday to be per car.

Great location, but prices have skyrocketed. £45 a night for a basic, unallocated, no electric pitch. The booking costs are confusing and adds several hidden fees such as a 'booking fee' and the cost of a car, despite it saying that one car is included in the booking! Think I'll look elsewhere thanks.

Now very developed to commercial management of the property. No longer can be thought of as wild camping. Still one of the best places to camp. Highly recommended.

Despite being the most commercial campsite in the area, they ran out of everything. Half empty shop, but overflowing bins. Cafe ran out of ingredients for making the food and managed to grab the last bag of logs. And that was on Monday to Wednesday! I can't imagine what is going on there on the weekends!

Ein camping der Superlative. Alles vorhanden, tolles Restaurant und Pizzeria, sehr empfehlenswert. Holz für Lagerfeuer erhältlich. Schöner See in der Nähe. Optimaler Ausgangsunkt für Wanderungen zum Snowdon Gipfel, Watkin path.

Lovely pizzas! Sold other food but we only tried the pizzas. Food available in the morning for breakfast and from approx 6-8.30 pm for tea.

Amazing campsite, beautiful views with an amazing lake next to you as you wake up. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much bother.

Went to visit some friends and family for the day who were camping here for weekend, absolutely brilliant day, really good for the kids loads to do, they didn't want to leave will be going back next year, only reason why never gave 5 stars the road on way to site is so narrow especially when turning into site.

Amazing location, staff were great and friendly! Facilities were great, wood, meals and shop made things easier again. The only improvement Id suggest is the toilets having a little revamp. Shout out to Steve who couldn't have been more helpful! Will definitely be back either way.

I would give 6 (six) stars for location as lake is great for SUP and for hiking, walks and nearby attractions. Also 5 stars for meals on site ... fab food such as bacon baps in the morning and hog roast/pulled pork at night. If you want a drink there's a bar service as well as Pizzas that are proper Italian style and a 'must not miss' treat 😋. However, 3 stars is for toilets .. although cleaned every day they really ronked also showers had a bad habit of overflowing and a few times turned cold or just a trickle .. no good with a head full of soap. 3 stars also as were in hook-up field but 2 families turned up, parked two tents without paying for hook-up and blocked the beautiful view of the lake we would normally have had. Management ended up allowing them to stay but should have booted them off the site when they ARGUED !! So 3 stars!! 🙁

Had a lovely few days at this campsite with the kids. Great location, campfires, boat hire, nice walks and a lake. Sitting next to the campfire and looking up at the stars with the kids. Proper camping experience. If you don’t need electric hook up you can choose any pitch you like. There’s a nice stream at the top of the campsite for kids to play in on a hot day. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Toilets are tidy. Only slight downside is the price of items in the shop and bar/pizza place, but always good to have incase you haven’t taken your own stuff. I will definitely be coming back.

This is s relatively large site, in a great location. It is generally cold and windy, but has a nice access to a lake and a stream. It offers a tiny shop, but without fruit/veg/meat + poor quality coffee/pizza/fry up at camp prices. Free pit fires, but no trees you can use for laundry lines or swings. Toilets and showers are in a terrible state, and with a constant smell of sewage and urine. some facilities are broken (e.g. Bolling water). Good drinking water but only taps are by reception, which in such a large site is a consideration. Does include a large freezer for ice blocks. Wi-fi in reception only, keeps logging you out. No mobile reception obviously. Chargers are in the (tokens based) laundry room, so you can't leave your phone safely.

Really liked this site. Enjoyed the luxury of having the option to buy pizza and beer. Would reccomended this site to friends :)

great location good food good wifi good facilties but not enough recommend to build another toilet and shower and washing up facility further down the site as at the moment there is loads of traffic on the way to the facilities which isn't nice on the campers camped on the way.

Lovely place to have a wedding, great facilities.

Great campsite was very busy with a good atmosphere to it. The lake is stunning to have right there with Kayak hire proving really easy. Good launch site for a climbing trip. Facilities were pretty decent with WiFi available near the reception and a freezer for iceblocks which is insanely helpful! The showers were a little hit and miss and a bit dirty at times. Was nice having food on-site with good breakfast and dinner food available. Bring Midge repellant if there in August 😂😂 overall positive stay here and have booked again.
