Lovely Little cafe, great personality inside. Great service and superb food!. A Huge range of breakfasts.

Stopped off in Chippenham to grab something to eat on route to Castle Combe. Walked past the café and saw it was almost full and thought it was worth a try. What a lovely surprise. The welcome was warm and the menu had a good selection. The service was quick considering the café was full. My husband had a breakfast and I had a burger, both were well cooked and delicious. The latte coffees were excellent as well. The prices were very reasonable. There was a small sign on the wall that said cash only. Luckily we did have cash on us because I did not see a sign on entering and it was not mentioned when we ordered. One small drawback there is no toilet, however the pub next door seem happy for you to use theirs. Glad we found this place and will use again if in the area.

I’ve been here several times over the years and have generally been happy with the quality of the food. However, this was not the case on this visit. I ordered the large breakfast and my children went for smaller ones. When they came out, although the number of food items were more on the large breakfast, the portion sizes of the individual elements were smaller (1 tinned tomato and a small spoonful of beans on the large but 2 tomatoes and a huge scoop of beans on the smaller plates). Also the promised soda bread didn’t arrive and I had to ask for it. It definitely wasn’t worth paying to go large. But most disappointing was the quality of the food, the sausages were horrible, they certainly didn’t contain much meat and left an unpleasant aftertaste. I’m sure on previous visit, the sausages were a higher quality. The boxty pancake was limp, luke warm and tasteless and the bacon cold and flabby. The highlight were the fried eggs which were cooked to perfection but one did come out a few minutes after the rest of the breakfast. The soda bread when it arrived was nice. I had hoped to order a second cup of tea but the server was too busy to check on us. On reflection, I can’t imagine we’ll go back when there are other establishments that serve much better food. I wonder if Jolly’s has had it’s day!!

Awesome cafe for all kinds of high quality breakfasts, reasonable value for such amazing nosh! Friendly staff, great food, and a place to fill up and feel good about the world!

I have lived all over the UK due to my job and because of my job have eaten in a lot of cafes for breakfasts, but no cafe other than jollies has ever had me tell people to go there. Jollys Irish Cafe has been part of my families dining tradition for over 20 years! After the birth of one of my younger sisters the parents went to jollys for a breakfast. When I say it's breakfasts are great, it's not me just selling the food but the atmosphere and the connection with staff and owner. Nicola should be proud of her cafe and it's place in the community. Any person worth their salt should eat here, and no where else for a great breakfast in Wiltshire.

Love going to Jollys cafe in Chippenham with my family and friends, its fantastic food & great prices. Im dairy free & they have gluten free/ vegan options which is fantastic, definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been going to Jolly’s for the last 8 years & always absolutely loved it ! Recommending it to everyone as the best place in Chippenham to get a decent cooked breakfast made with quality ingredients. So no cheap sausages or vinegary tomato sauce. I’m sad to say, today was the first time I was really disappointed in the quality & taste of the breakfast. I know Jolly’s has had issues with costs lately & was under threat of closure. I saw the crowd funding page & donated as I wanted to support this lovely business. I can only assume in efforts to reduce costs, they are now sourcing cheaper, reduced quality supplies. But please Jolly’s, go back to the good quality sausages and proper brands for tomatoe sauce & beans, you used to use. It really does make all the difference & I would happily pay more, to help support your business, for the pleasure of enjoying the premium breakfast you have always previously served, in this cafe’s unique quirky environment.

I was recommended Jollys by a taxi driver who had not even been there, but heard about it. I had a warm welcome at this tiny cool vintage cafe and loved it! I had the best cheese and bacon toastie ever. So good I went back at the next day with a friend to try the full english. There was a queue to get in by the time I had finished both days. Worth the wait and clearly very popular.

The food is amazing. Best breakfast you'll get anywhere. Very Irish, quirky and loud. It's not posh nosh but that's not what they're about. The staff are hard working, friendly and efficient, it's a busy place but they'll always try and fit you in. The music they play is great and always puts a smile on your face. Nicola the owner is a local celebrity. Anyone who gives this less than five stars is mad imho. The bacon has never been underdone in 50 visits and the toast is always perfectly golden and never burned. Try the boxty and the Irish home made bread. Spectacular. Not recommended if you are on a diet!

2nd time I’ve been here any it by far the best breakfast I’ve ever had, you need to try it you’ll be hooked and I’ll be back again next week for more. Amazing taste friendly staff and great music

Heard that Jollys might have to shut up shop. So. athough we have visited Jollys on occasions, today we decided to show support and have a Jollys breakfast rather than a Sunday lunch elsewhere. We were not disappointed. Our food was excellent; nicely cooked and tasty. Well worth a visit. 6

Visited on a Saturday morning at about 9.45am. It was busy and we got the last table inside. We haven't visited for a long long time and it has been refurbed since the last time and not for the better. Tables are extremely crammed in and our table right by the door was far to close to the next table which meant my husband had to keep moving to let people in and out. We ordered 2 coffees, a bigger breakfast and a wexford. Toast barely toasted, bacon seriously undercooked. We waited a long time for the food to arrive and we had already finished our luke warm coffees. I think if they didnt cram so many people in it would be much better. Also in this day in age why are we still cash only..... get the sum up app or something so people can pay by card.

I go to a lot ( and I mean a lot!) of places for breakfast. This is the very best and thats all I can really say - the ingredients are brilliant, soda bread, fried bread an inch thick, good sausage of all varieties, fresh eggs that sit up on the plate, boxty - all properly cooked with big portions the norm. Coffee or tea chucked in just like in Ireland - pay a little bit more if you want a speciality coffee. The owners(?/are/is) a lovely person, and the servers know their job as clearly so does the kitchen which operates at an awesome rate. Anyone that doesnt think food like this can be knocked out so well with such consistency and at such prices needs their bumps felt! Three of us full breakfasts £26 and we waddled to the car and didn't eat for hours. You can build your own breakfast too. The fact it doesnt have a toilet is genius because table turnover is high and you dont have to wait long to be seated, and there a public one round the corner. I've held off doing this rating because I don't want to share and I like this place so much I'm seriously looking for a house nearby. So there you have it - a proper Irish breakfast cafe. Go and get your Jollies....just don't tell anyone else.

The Best Breakfast (By Far) in Chippenham!!.......and for miles around actually!!!

Breakfast was very nice, staff very friendly and a lovely atmosphere. Lots of very funny sayings/quotes on the walls. Free WiFi available and adult colouring books available on request. Unfortunately there are no loo's here but just behind the cafe there is a public loo in the bus station for 20p. A lovely little cafe, crammed full of Irish charm. There's no toilet, they don't take credit cards and you order at the back down a hallway. But it is great fun, quirky and serves lovely breakfasts.

We decided to pop in for a late lunch how pleasantly surprised were we. Ran by a fabulous friendly lovely lady, service excellent and the food was incredible, the flavours in the food totally wowed us we will be back

We live locally and were out walking the dog and both hadn’t eaten breakfast so thought we would go to Jolly’s as the weather was dry and mild and we could sit outside with the pooch.

Call here all the time when down Chippenham from Newcastle.. such a great variety of food & drinks lots of breakfast choices. Including GLUTEN FREE... if your hungry & after great service and cracking coffee this is the place to be. I have a big appetite but jollys always fills me. stopped here on the way to Salisbury for a breakfast and the 4 of us were all well satisfied. It was all fresh and hot as were the drinks we had. It was a bit of a tight squeeze inside because it was so busy but managed to get a table for 4 towards the back. Good jukebox playing some old stuff as well.

Came across Jolly's by accident when walking around the town. Fancied a coffee so went inside and ordered a Cappuchino for me and an iced tea for the wife. Whilst sipping these we browsed the fairly extensive menu and suddenly felt the need to eat something. We ordered bacon and egg sandwiches and a bowl of chips to share. These were "proper" door stopper sandwiches made from thickly cut bread. The bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly, as were the chips. This is a fairly small,quaint cafe decorated throughout with Irish themed pictures etc (hence the cafe's name). We thoroughly enjoyed the food which was was served by very pleasant staff. Will certainly be back next time we're in Chippenham.

This was my second visit and I was slightly disappointed that their breakfast menu had slightly changed meaning only one of their large range of breakfasts included a boxty pancake. The last time I went they had sold out. I didn't fancy the breakfast which did include it and when I asked if I could swap the hash browns for a boxty (and pay the 10p difference) I was told I couldn't.

this am myself ,hubby ,nephew and his friend desided to go here for breakfast it was busy as it was st Patrick's day we managed to get a table and desided what we were having .. we ordered and waited ..and waited for our drinks ok give them so slack as it was busy then we waited and waited some more for our Breckfast they did come out with some crisps to keep us happy and they have all the women a small bag of goodies ie pack of mints a badge ect they did have to turn people away at one point as no tables we did get our food which was lush !! they need a bigger premises but hats of to the staff

We often go into Chippenham while visiting a relative in a local Care Home. Lunch in town is generally a pleasant break from home catering. Many choices in town, but we had not visited Jollys Irish cafe. On entering we found that the room was not well lit; tables tightly together causing some clashing of chairs and elbows.

Can’t believe I’ve never been here before! The breakfasts are so good and great value for money. Really friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Proper home made chips and look at the thickness of the ham. Loads of different breakfasts but you can also create your own with individual items priced on the menu. They do bubble and squeak and soda bread too.

Me n my brother were working here from Bristol for the day. Perfect Friday breakfast, very happy. Will come again when in Chippenham next... even if they didn’t have a toilet haha.

Dropped in here for a cooked breakfast after a 12 hour fast. The service was friendly and quick. The Irish breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere in the café was warm and friendly. All helped by a jukebox belting out C&W; and early Elvis. If you like Irish kitsch then this is the place for you!

This small but really nice little cafe does probably the breakfast I've ever had the pleasure of eating, the food was hot , cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. I would definitely recommend this cafe to everyone, make sure your hungry when you plan to visit.I will 100% definitely be returning.

Wow food to die for, travelled from Malta to visit Chippenham and just had to see if Jollyes was as good as I remember, better by far, service, friendliness and food . If you have a chance , not just the fantastic breakfasts (as there are many) but their menu is great. Keep up the great work.

Went here with our friends who live local and recommended the place to us.

This place had been recommended my colleagues for their cooked breakfast. Needed a hot lunch so decided to try it out. Service was really quick. We had the Irish breakfast. Really nice, thick bacon, the soda bread was amazing and the price was good. The staff were friendly too. I would have liked stronger tea or a pot of tea so I could let it brew longer and I wouldn't go again at lunchtime because I did come out smelling of cooking. Would certainly still recommend though and definitely want to try more of the menu and have more of the soda bread!

This is a real Irish Cafe, not a glorified coffe bar. I went in for an all day breakfast . Best I've had in years. The food is cooked to order and well priced. The staff are freindy Can't fault it. Will be going again! If your in Chippenham give it a try, you won't be dissapointed

We have visited Jollys several times and the choice of fresh locally sourced ingredients always makes for a wonderful breakfast . The staff are friendly and efficient and I really recommend popping in for probably the best breakfast in Wiltshire.

This is truly the best breakfast in the local area for a number of miles. They have changed the sausages since i last visited - but the breakfast is so tasty!

As a connoisseur of the humble British (or Irish) fry up, and having eaten once in many cafe’s, hotels, roadside ports-cabins, and restaurants across Wiltshire I can honestly say that Jolleys is the best. Fantastic selection for the pickiest child, or the accomplished eater like myself no one will be dissappointed. What really sets this cafe apart though is the lovely bread they serve, none of that pasty white junk you get in other places, no, this stuff is proper door-step quality.

Having woken up late on a Sunday morning, we decided to venture out for Brunch, and thought we'd go to Jolly's as we'd not had opportunity to before. A few parking spaces are available outside, and there are other parking spots very close, we only had to walk about 250 yds. We walked through the door and the place was PACKED! A promising scene, we thought! We found a table, perused the menu and placed our order, just under £18 for 2 Irish Breakfasts (1 regular, 1 large and 2 mugs of tea) we were given a giant wooden clothes peg with our table number on and had to wait a couple of minutes for our well brewed (in a very good way!) tea. Our breakfasts arrived shortly after and for the price you pay, the quality of the produce is SUPERB! Homemade White Pudding, Homemade Soda Bread, Irish recipe sausages, beautiful crispy bacon, Black Pudding with just the right amount of crust on it, not soggy in the slightest like you get in some places. Its always piping hot .. fresh and absolutely delicious .. the restaurant it’s self is stunning with an amazing Irish atmosphere and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly .. brilliant!!
