We both had a roast dinner. My husband had the Beef & I had a Mixed roast trio of meats/ beef/pork & turkey. All, I can say it was pretty average & it could have been hotter. Service okay, serving staff however, did not come & ask if our meal was okay. One should give allowances though re service & food preparation as they have been closed for months due to Covid. Gravey tasted a bit synthetic.

This pub served me the best Sunday roast I have had since living in England for the last year. The serving size was HUGE. It had a good serving of roast meat and so many sides. The cauliflower cheese served in the Yorkshire pudding was a nice touch. The gravy was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it. We also had some leek in a cream sauce, red cabbage, beans, broccoli, roast potatoes, roast parsnip and baby roast carrots. All served in a cute country pub with open fires to keep you warm. I will definitely be back. Thanks to all the friendly staff as well for your great service

What a beautiful pub, we went there for a Sunday roast and boy oh boy I can't recommend it enough. The portions were massive and the food tasted great. The gravy were absolute flavor blast. Big variety of ales to chose from. The only thing that could make this place a bit better would be a garden, but hey it's on the high street of Bromley so I would prefer seating inside rather than next to the road or at the parking lot.

Not only a rare find of a pub that offers fabulous food and a perfect pint but also magnificent and rare moths! What’s not to like! Thrilled to have sighted the elusive Blue Underwing or Clifden Nonpareil. I’ve been waiting to see this extremely large and beautiful moth since I was 8 when I read about it in R.L.E. Ford’s Observer’s Book of The Larger British Moths. Talk about a pub delivering added value - I really wouldn’t have missed this for the world!

The pub had great social distancing measures, sanitizing stations and even anti back wipes in the loos. We all ordered different mains, the food & service was fantastic. I had a burger with halloumi and my daughter had food off the children’s menu which was chicken goujons with chips and beans. Portion sizes are EXTREMELY generous, even found room for dessert which was way bigger than expected. She was delighted with the room and when picking me up informed me the bed was comfortable, clean and had a nice touch of a glass of sherry for us. She was right. The pub was everything you wanted in a country side setting. We set off on an afternoon ramble following cleaning up we had dinner and drinks in the bar and restaurant area. The pub had a very good feeling, the staff were very attentive and the food was fabulous. It was quiet an extensive menu with care and attention to detail and taste. we spent 2 nights here and loved it. the staff were very nice and helpful and the ambiance was lovely - very welcoming for such a large place. the food was delicious; well cooked pub grub and a more interesting specials board. breakfast is extra and well worth the extra we paid for it. we had to wait a bit as the food was freshly prepared and tasted like it, but that just gave us a chance to look at the ancient farm implements, stuffed animals, and things from great granny's attic hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. the bedroom was comfortable and we were able to change rooms when i found that the one allocated to us had a step up into the bathroom. this is a very old building which has had many 'adjustment', done sympathetically and for that reason alone it is worth visiting. my one criticism is that with an aging population, why don't places put grab rails in the public toilets and in the bathrooms in the bedrooms. oh!! and my husband enjoyed the beer and we both enjoyed a good wine list.

I had no problems booking a table a couple of weeks before Christmas for 7 of us to have lunch. The car park is relatively large but busy due to popularity and the overflow is very muddy. There were numerous dogs in the pub but all well behaved. Our table was in a side alcove which was nice and quiet. The service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry so no issue to us. The menu was quite varied and included a roast dinner option. The food was very good and nice portion sizes too with lots of nice veg for the roast. After a long walk in the Surrey Hills on a beautiful fall Sunday, my family and I arrived hungry at 230 pm at the Jolly Farmer. What a lovely pub. You could tell by the smells from the kitchen when we walked in that we had chosen well. The Jolly Farmer offers an excellent array of vegetable and sauces that are oh - sooo good, but the main attractions are the lamb, beef, turkey, ham and pork roasts from which you can get slices of each. My husband and I called in here on our way home from Crawley to Cardiff. What a find!! As soon as we saw it from the road looking so pretty and entered in to find a fabulous “olde worlde” charm and hearing the buzz of happy conversation we knew we had made the right choice. And when we saw the carvery we knew exactly what we would go for. Best choice!!! Our host gave us 3 generous portions of beef, pork and lamb (Turkey was also available), + a large Yorkshire pudding and then we absolutely FELL on the vegetables. And here was the offer:- Peas & Corn, Tender stem broccoli, Red cabbage, Baby carrots, Roast Parsnips, Green French Beans, Baby corn, Green cabbage, Cauliflower cheese and Roast potatoes. And they serve non-alcoholic beer for such as my husband with a nearly 4 hour drive ahead of him. I had a PIMMS loaded with strawberry, cucumber, mint, lemon, lime. Fantastic. And the bill came to £40.30. Very very reasonable. Very good value for money. Excellent quality food. The beef was cooked medium rare to perfection in my view. Great ambience. Friendly and efficient staff. Off road parking down the side of the pub. Some outdoor seating. As I said: “Completely Fantastic”. They have a vegetarian/vegan option including vegan/veggie gravy as well as delicious meat gravy. The staff were incredibly helpful; not in your face but not absent like they often are! They were really genuine in their assistance offering my mum a smaller portion, as one who might have a smaller appetite and my daughter a bigger portion, as one who might have a bigger appetite. They also really helped my mum with her plate at the carvery and offered to carry it back to the table for her. We were too full for pudding but the selection sounded super! We went for a Sunday Carvery at this pub. The service was impeccable. The waitresses who served us were attentive, happy and served us with due care. My partner is partially disabled and they were very helpful and willing to carry her plate at the carvery and our table.

Service was ok but nothing special, the bartender was extremely nosy and got too personal for my liking and then sharing this information with his immoral locals creating a rather this rather dirty atmosphere. This is not to the point but he will understand as I don't want to express myself freely for his sake. He then kicked me out for standing up for myself from his loser local clients. All I wanted was a peaceful drink but if you're not a local or look different I doubt you'll be getting that.

I took my mum and my son for a Mother’s Day carvary today and it was the best I have had in a long time. Great selection of delicious meats and vegetables a bubbling just out of the oven cauliflower cheese, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings where perfectly cooked with a great selection of sauces and all served by the friendliest most helpful staff. This pub is very obviously run and owned by people who care and take the time to make sure you enjoy yourself the service couldn’t have been better. On such a busy day with a packed pub nothing was to much trouble for the lovely smiling staff. On our table we even had a box of chocolates and a pot plant to take home, it’s the little things that make all the difference so thank you to the jolly farmer in Bramley for making Mother’s Day extra special!! And I must just mention the decor which is brilliant and certainly a taking point.

After a 5 mile country walk, six of us had a very pleasant lunch in the bar at the Jolly Farmer. Three of us chose three local sausages, mash, veg and gravy and the others various sandwich/salad/soup combinations. All excellent! We also enjoyed the beer - there was a wide selection available. Comprehensive range of menu options (including a vegetarian/vegan menu). Large dining area at the back so would be nice to try a more leisurely and thorough sampling of the fare one evening!

We've experienced the carvery here 3 times recently and it really is excellent. They offer adult, senior and child plate prices. The meats are beautifully cooked, particularly the rare beef. Such an array of coloured veg too - parsnips, potatoes, red cabbage, beans, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, corn. If you're GF and DF then it's only the Yorkshire and cauliflower cheese you can't have - the stuffing is GF and DF and the gravy has a vegan and veggie option. Really lovely staff, helpful and I noticed particularly polite to each other on very busy Sundays to ensure the carvery runs smoothly. It's dog friendly too so our pup came with us. We'll become regulars now!

We LOVE this pub, traditional, full of locals who love it and keep coming back. Full of charm. Best of all, the ploughman’s, best ever. If you are bored of gastro pubs and long for a cosy proper pub with proper food that hasn’t been fiddled with, this is your place.

Really nice pub with rooms. We stayed the weekend visiting family. Have been before over the last ten years. Not changed - the rooms are comfy and en-suite and have tea coffee and biscuits plus tv. Old building and characterful. Pub full of memorabilia but even more importantly excellent beers (including Kwak) and wines. Food is served and is quite excellent. So much so you may have to book a table.

I had lunch with a friend at this pub today. What a warm welcome we got .The bar manager at the time was lovely . Friendly, smiley and chatty. The fire was ablaze and the food was a lovely home cooked tasty meal. As for the wine, nothing beats a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc .

This is my usual pub for a beer but have never been for Sunday lunch and rarely give anywhere 5 stars but the carvery here is superb. It’s not something I would usually choose for lunch as at other places get measly amounts of meat and veg but this is different. There are at least 5 different roasts on the go plus chicken legs all perfectly cooked served at the buffet in extremely generous portions. Vegetables, stuffing and gravy is self service and there is loads of choice with roast potatoes and enormous Yorkshire puds. Great value at £15 and no way could fit one of the hearty sounding puddings.
