absolutely terrible feel like poo like i’m going to protectile vomit all over my dogs face prawn crackers where stale and my beef honey sause was so overcooked it was like chewing gum WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Stayed in Annalong while walking the Mountains of Mourne, there are a few take-away restaurants but few for vegetarians. The selection at Johnny Pang’s was great and the food generally, some of the best Chinese we’ve had. Great flavour especially the ginger & garlic, vegetable chow mein. Also good sauces, not too gloopy, just really tasty.

Popped in and got the last available table as they were fully booked for the rest of the evening. The service was good, the food arrived quickly. We had chow mein, crispy chicken Peking and beef in garlic with chilli chips. All fresh, good balance of veg, sauce and meat and all very tasty. Would recommend.

Called in without booking, seated immediately, quick service. Fantastic food, tasty with crunchy veg.

Stopped off here when visiting the local area for a takeaway. The food was disappointing in comparison to the standard of Chinese I am used to. The cost was the same at other chinese takeaways, but the chicken curry and chicken peking dishes both had very little chicken. The peking was primarily vegetables and it did not have enough sauce with only half of the container filled. Taste wise food was okay, nothing special. Would not recommend unless improvements are made.

This Chinese is very good and very quick service it has a sit in as well and carry out and delivery service.

Love the food here, only discovered recently but have been back a number of times. Best Chinese food in the area by far....

Absolute wee hidden gem.. Have passed here many times and never stopped but after tonight wish I had. The food was outstanding, well cooked and delicious 😋 perfect portion sizes also. The young waiter was such a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with, he couldn't have done any more for us ☺ perfect example of how a waiter should be. Deffo made our night! Would highly recommend ☺

Business now under new management due to the original owners selling up to retire. Previously this Chinese was without a doubt the best I've eaten. Unfortunately the new owners have completely changed the menu...and the dishes are stodgy and tasteless. Bitterly disappointed and a huge loss to the local area. Use china Inn instead based in Kilkeel, for what would be my new choice.

I got cha Su. It was really good and at a fair price. But they forgot to give me part of the order. So maybe check your order before you leave. I would go there all the time if I lived here.

. . . to fully appreciate this restaurant. The food is sublime, the surroundings are bijou and the staff very friendly. Don’t be in a hurry, fresh well prepared food takes a while and is worth the wait. The portions are big and it wouldn’t be the first time that our eyes were bigger than our stomaches and they packed our left overs for us to have for breakfast!! They also do a buffet take-away which we’ve never used but is usually very busy. Give it a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Always been a huge fan of Johnny Pangs, I’ve been going there for years and it was always my first choice for a Chinese takeaway. However, have tried the new “pick & pay” system twice now and I have been very disappointed, deeply saddened as I will have to find somewhere else.

It was ok not 100% food was good but only warm so had to reheat in microwave when we got home. It was busy the day we visited .

Jonny pangs was closed for 4 weeks for refurb. Well I can safely say the takeaway side is atrocious. It has been changed into a counter with canteen style food trays which you are served from. The food is dry (noodles, ribs , chow mein) because it sits in the heating tray. The menu has been halved and the prices have escalated. Medium curry if u want separate fried rice is £10.50! There were 8 people in front of me and I waited 20 minutes to be served, nearly walked out but thought I will give it a chance. Everyone I spoke to in the queue were of the same opinion. I have been going for 8 years . I will never be back.

Turned in a canteen style ,serving trays ,counter setting takeaway. Huge queue, food dried out in heated trays. Prices hiked up , a medium chicken curry if you want separate rice is £10.50! Menu has been halved. I have used this takeaway for 8 years and loved it . I will not be back.

I previously thought and told people that Johnny Pangs was the best Chinese take away in Northern Ireland. That was until it closed for 3 weeks for a refurbishment. I eagerly awaited the reopening. Tonight we went and found the menu was much smaller than before and the food was on display in heated trays. The food before was 5 star. Now it struggles to be 2 star. It was like work canteen food. Dry. Unflavoured . Very overcooked. Ribs were also dry.(previously they were amazing) I will not be going again but will travel to Kilkeel or Newcastle as I wouldn’t waste any more money. Bring back time and do what you did before your refurbishment.

Firstly, it was my birthday and I want to thank the lady who was head waitress, for finding us a table when her entire restaurant was fully booked. The service was fantastic BUT THE AROMATIC DUCK WAS LIKE IT HAD BEEN DEEP FRIED IN FAT FOR A WEEK. Sadly we paid a price the following two days. We shall never return to this restaurant. ADVICE: DON'T TOUCH THE DUCK!!!!

Stopped at this small unassuming restaurant and what a gem it is. Fabulous food, served swiftly and really well presented. Restaurant is exceptionally clean, staff very attentive and amazing good value for money. This restaurant may not be close by for many but really worth the drive out and enjoy the beautiful Mourne Scenic route on the way

Had a family meal here, 2 adults and 3 children. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was beautiful, it just took a bit too long to get. Would definately go back

The four of us went for a meal on Saturday night where I had the monk fish with boiled rice and my wife had a gluten free chicken curry also with boiled rice. A really excellent meal with great service and at a reasonable price. Definitely we will be back.

Bit of a wait when sitting in but food is good.

The rest of meal was tasty however I felt it was spoilt with the fact that I have never been served with a dish with such enormous wedges of onion which did nothing for the visual effect or taste of the rest of the meal and had to be placed on a side dish. Have enjoyed many meals in the Far East and china and never been faced with such lumps before.

Rape fresco capturado y gambas, delicioso. Tuve de pollo en salsa de frijol negro - delicioso. Los precios son muy razonables, sin duda vale la pena una visita. No te decepcionará.

I had been given a gift voucher at Christmas for this place, which two friends and I finally got around to using. We arrived around 8pm even though we'd booked for 7. This was not a problem, although they were busy they still went above and beyond to accommodate us. The staff were highly professional and pleasant. The surroundings were warm, colourful, and tasteful. Soft background music and candlelight accompanied our meal. The food was beautiful. We all had three courses, followed by coffee. There was a nice selection of wine, which we indulged in, and to make the experience even better, management gave us all a glass of the best wine on the list, complimentary. Highly recommended for an evening meal with family or friends.

Ridiculous wait for a chicken curry, 1 hour 10 minutes!!!! Thought maybe it would be worth the wait but unfortunately not, poor girl behind the counter look really stressed, won,t be back!

We visited the take away during a stay at the nearby caravan park. It was a Saturday night and we expected busy......understatement of the year. After a lengthy wait we still had not been served so decided to phone in our order for collection when the rush subsided. BIG mistake. We were told 40-50 minutes before collecting. On arriving back in the allotted tims, many peeved customers were complaining they had still not received their food 2 hours after placing order. The poor girl on the counter was stressed to the hilt.....gridlock was achieved....tempers rose....bellies rumbled.....40 minutes later and still no food, we cut our losses and left. Unimaginable chaos.....surely this is not the norm!!

This Chinese I have found is the nicest about!I always would have a take away from here. I recently sat in to enjoy my meal and to my surprise the portions were even bigger than take out. The food is really lovely and the staff are pleasent. A must try :)

The food and service was absolutely brilliant in this restaurant. Whilst the restaurant is not very big it is lovely inside and the staff were more than helpful as we were ordering the waitress informed us the portions were quite large and therefore don't overdo the starters, best advice ever as you did not want t leave any of the food on your plate as it was too tasty and pentiful. We had some wine ad a couple of soft drinks for the diver and stil could not beleive the bill as we anticipted it woudl be alot more. Definately worth a visit with great value for money.
