Joe's Cafe is an excellent example of a good, solid, old school British cafe. This particular visit was with my Mum, but I've been here a few times before and I've always been happy with everything. Both of our meals were good quality, well cooked and served in good time. The place is clean and decorated in a nicely understated way. It's a locals cafe and there is a good atmosphere. It's always nice to see the good care they take of their older customers. It's a great place for a fry up, beans on toast, an omelette or just a cuppa and bun. If your idea of a good time is spending half an hour dissecting every dish on the menu to ascertain its country of origin, organic status, vegan friendlyness, gluten freeness and the eye colour, gender and inside leg measurement of the farmer that produced it, then maybe it's not for you.

Stayed overnight at Chertsey Travelodge (good night sleep) then headed to Joes for breakfast before our family day out at Thorpe Park. Had cooked breakfasts of which there are a choice of size and what you have ie beans or tomatoes, toast or fried bread etc. It was very good and reasonably priced so I will return and definitely recommend.

Absolutely love this place - Good food, always cooked to perfection, generous portion sizes, clean, very reasonably priced and run by a really lovely welcoming family. Easy to see why the ratings are so favourable. Definitely the best cooked breakfast in Chertsey, and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great food, even better staff, shame I got the large full English and to me it was small! Either beans OR tomatoes, no juice with the tomatoes which was a shame, however still really nice, staff was really polite and had a great conversation with my 6 year old daughter about pokemon. Nice quiet atmosphere, would definitely come again if I'm ever in the area.

We spent the weekend in Chertsey whilst visiting Thorpe Park and stayed at the Travelodge at the bottom of the street from Joe's Cafe.We visited the cafe on Saturday morning for a breakfast before visiting the theme park and it was lovely, the lady who greeted and served us was really friendly and asked us if we were OK with her coming to the table etc for social distancing, which was lovely and really considerate! The breakfast was lovely, good quality produce and cooked really well! We revisited again on Sunday morning before leaving and were just as impressed again both with the service and food! Thanks for helping us enjoy our visit :)Rachel and Louise x

This is a very basic cafe, there is nothing special about the food, the staff are lovely, the parking is difficult and its not a warm cafe with the door open.Everything is what you would expect from a cheap cafe. cheap sausages and bacon and nothing that stands out or is bought from a local farm.I can go to many cafe's the same but I prefer to seek out the better ones. This is a nice place but is very basic so don't believe some of the other reviews as I just think they don't get out enough to experience other places.Ok but nothing special.

8 of us stayed in the travelodge for two nights this weekend as we were attending an event at Thorpe Park. Saturday morning we found Joes Cafe so popped in for breakfast rolls and a brew. The place was packed but the lady told us to hang on as people were finishing up. We soon got tables and ordered. Firstly, the two ladies were really friendly and made us feel welcome.Secondly, the food was hot and fresh and very welcome. On Sunday morning, whilst the other 6 were still in bed myself and friend walked down to Joes to grab take aways. Again lovely welcome from the two ladies and lovely sandwiches made to order. If you stay in the travelodge I would recommend this to anyone. From the entrance cross the road and walk down the one way street, cross onto the other side and keep walking, it will be on the right hand side at the opposite end (I’d say no more than 3/4minutes walk) if you pass The Plaice to Be chip shop you should find it a few doors further down, if you reach pizza express you’ve gone too far.

My partner and I were in the area early on a Sunday morning and were looking for a decent breakfast, I had heard about this place on the grapevine so we decided to give it a go.It was easy to find and we got there just in time as it was full to bursting by the time we left. We both ordered a full english and it came in good time and was not greasy and was extremely tasty. I had ordered a bowl of chips which didn't turn up but this was a blessing in disguise as my eyes had been bigger then my belly, the staff were very apologetic about it.The staff were very friendly and pricing was very reasonable. I wish this place was located in Weybridge so we could come here more often, sometimes you just need a 'proper fry-up'.

Lovely hot full English (just enough!), prices were cheap, the cafe was spotless and the staff were super friendly and took time to make conversation with you. We went back the next day and the staff remembered us and took time to ask about our day which is 100x better than these hotels where the staff don’t even know you. 100% recommend

So my fantastic girlfriend and I were looking for a local, independent, non-pricey place to have breakfast in Chertsey. We found the place when we arrived at Joe's cafe. The location was very central and the cafe was very clean, as we arrived early on July morning chairs and tables also provided outside. Staff were pleasant without being overly familiar. The menu they presented was easy to understand and they had a board highlighting combinations of food to order and extras. Food was freshly prepared, very tasty and supreme value for money. If ever you are in or near Chertsey, do yourself a favour and dine at Joe's Cafe.

Only been in once as I was starving whilst out shopping. Service was good and the breakfast tasted good. The tea was nice too, not stewed like it often is in these cafes. My only adverse comment would be the smell of cooking, which was very strong in the café, and not much better outside in the street. I pass this café on a regular basis, and I imagine that trade would be a lot better if this could be dealt with. It doesn't appear that there are any filters involved. On a recent trip to Thrope park we arrived ahead of time, and couldn't find anywhere local to have some breakfast, so we loaded up our trusty trip advisor and found this place called Joe's Cafe, when we pulled up the owner and chef were having a chat and coffee outside, and if I'm honest I think we were there before their opening time, they must have realised that we had. One for some brekkie, because as we approached the door was open and we were welcomed in, lots of lovely banter with the owner whilst we ordered our breakfast, when breakfast arrived it was presented on the plate beautifully, our daughters breakfast was brought out first which I think is key to an eaterie, your so often left with a grumpy child because everyone has their food and they are left waiting. Good quality filter coffee none of this instant nonsense. It was marginally more expensive than say a chain establishment but I would rather pay that extra for the service and polite conversation we got at Joe's. As we left were waved off and we all said as we got back into the car what a lovely experience that was and if when we visit Thorpe park again we will be sure to arrive early so we can visit joe's cafe

Am so glad we stumbled across this lovely little cafe!!! We got a warm welcome from the lady who worked there (sorry didn't catch her name!) who then sat and chatted with us before taking our orders. The breakfasts were reasonably priced and as my friends and I are all fussy buggers, we all asked if we could swap certain food items for others. This was no trouble at all! I usually take a breakfast here once a week as a Friday morning treat. Great service friendly staff and nice local atmosphere. When friends visit for the weekend I have no hesitation about bringing them over to share the experience. I usually go for one of the several fried English breakfast options which are all very competitively priced and include tea or coffee. £5 - £6 will give you a breakfast that will keep you going well past lunchtime. Sausages and bacon are particularly tasty and there is no problem in mixing and matching items. I usually pass on the beans / tomato and get an extra egg or a hash brown with no problem. Great food and great value.

A very simple, unpretentious place. The service was efficient and friendly. In the middle of Chertsey, it was full of regular customers. That says a lot!
