Always a pleasant experience - amazing food and fantastic service. A lovely Mother’s Day afternoon tea!

When i booked this for my partners birthday i said it was for her 30th. The staff member i spoke to said they’d make an effort which i didn’t expect but was lovely them saying this. Came in and the music was loud but maybe that was where we were sitting. Waitress then realised it was my partners birthday and just gave her some champagne and said they forgot. My partner doesn’t drink and wasn’t asked this either. I drank it instead and it was warm. Food is always great here but put off by the staff they seemed very distracted and there were only two more tables so it wasn’t busy.

Superb and perfect for a special occasion or simply because you fancy something delicious in serene surroundings. Treat yourself. It won't break the bank😍.

I had afternoon tea at the Ritz 3 weeks after, I thought this was as good.

Joanna's in Storrington is a lovely place! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make a visit there relaxing and enjoyable and without hassle. It has a cosy intimate atmosphere, sheltered away from the world and the busy street outside. Plus the food is delicious! What more can I say? We will be frequent visitors!

We had our first visit today. It’s a shame as we have been missing out. What a lovely inviting place. The staff and service were fantastic. I had something delicious to eat. It brought my taste buds alive and wanting more. An couple of hours later it’s still in my thoughts. So if you’re looking for something different with excellent service you need to give Joanna’s a go.

I have been to Joanna’s a couple of times now and I would always recommend it! It’s not cheap but defo worth the money! Such lovely food and a beautiful place to go!

We went for cream tea without a reservation but the staff was very friendly and enjoyed our lovely cream tea.

I took my mother out for lunch. Joannas is unpretentious but feels smarter than a Café for a special occasion or a grown-up atmosphere. We enjoyed a hot drink whilst choosing our food and didn't feel rushed or 'moved along' for a second sitting at our table. We had the set lunch, which had perfectly sized mains to enjoy a dessert afterwards with another coffee. Staff were friendly and attentive without being over familiar or interfering - pitched just right. Very enjoyable, would definitely return & recommend.

Food was lovely. Shame the prices on the menu didn’t match the bill. Overcharged.

Brilliant! Lovely cream tea for 2, so many delicious cakes, sandwiches and warm scones, and pastries we needed a doggie bag ! Smashing background music helped made for a lovely afternoon.

Had afternoon tea recently with family. We had such a lovely time the food was delicious and plentiful with a good choice of sandwiches, pastries, cakes and scones. Jams and clotted cream,was also plentiful ( which is not often the case) , the staff were friendly and attentive. We had had quite specific, and detailed special requests regarding our sandwich preferences. These requests were dealt with so very kindly when I had ordered on the phone and these requests were further confirmed by the very pleasant lady/chef/manager from the kitchen. All the various cakes and pastries were explained and described by this same lady when the food was brought to the table, this also is not usually the case We all agreed (my wife/son and daughter- in law that this was the best Afternoon Tea we had ever had. We will definitely be returning Thank you to everyone at Joanna's Dave & Family

Wonderful food and great, friendly service. Very reasonable price too, especially compared with other similar venues I've been to for a luxury afternoon tea.

I had a lovely breakfast with my daughter in a calm relaxed atmosphere. Lots of choice of meals. Would definitely recommend.

We booked here for a very special 80th birthday, The food was so good! The service & staff was so good. We were blown away. Very little place, totally packed. But service and attention to detail was just so good, when I got really hot and had to sit outside this fantastic man rushed outside and got me two sear cushions, one to sit on and one for my back, and then bought me a large water. My Mum was so impressed and we would all like to recommend. You need to book! It’s worth it. Thank you all, very professional. We will be back soon.

Lovely little place with nice decor. Afternoon tea was faultless although experience was let down by the service. I have pre booked for 4 adults plus highchair. We have arrived and our table which had no highchair. Staff had to ask at other tables whether they could take theirs away which had also happened to us mid through our afternoon tea. My first drink was given to me wrong 3 times, second drink never turned up. No baby changing facilities which was really upsetting considering that when booking was made we were not made aware of this. I was although offered by a nice waiter that he could push 2 chairs from restaurant together for me in the toilet which I have politely declined. If you want a nice afternoon tea and don't care for the service then I'd recommend but definately not suitable with baby. Won't be visiting again.

Amazing places, food is fabulous and the staff are just so welcoming. A perfect find for my birthday as we are not from the area. Would definitely come back again. It is that good we would come back.

A beautiful tea room, elegantly decorated, with a divine menu. I had lunch this time, but looking at other people's afternoon tea's I will be going back again. Service was polite and efficient. I would recommend booking, so not to be disappointed

Joanna's tea room - I thoroughly recommend! We were a group of 8 and had the afternoon tea, which was one of the best I have had anywhere! The variety of sandwiches and cakeswas wonderful. The sandwhiches were extremely tasty and generous with their fillings. The cakes were fantastic! I particularly loved their cheese straws ( to die for!) , the mini scones, divine lemon posset and the cinammon cream cake was absolutely scrumptious too! I had the gluten free version of the afternoon tea and it was truly excellent. The tea room handled our group's order admirably and with no fuss at all, as we had one ( me) with food allergies, a pescatarian and one person who loathes cheese. Book in advance and discuss with staff. They are really helpful and make every effort to prepare for you. The decor is lovely and relaxing and it's worth mentioning that unlike some tea rooms, the chairs are extremely comfortable: they are supportive and padded, ideal if you have any in your group who can become uncomfortable or have bad backs or joints etc. This tea room is an absolute gem, I throughly recommend!!

Drove here on a Sunday based on the advertised opening times, was turned away at 4pm despite 5pm being the advertised closing time

Not impressed at all by the waitress wearing the pink jeans today as she threw the menus at the table as we sat there no interaction at all awful welcome and poor service we left and went to the Vintage Rose

Lunch was tasty...but bit "pretty and delicate" on the plate. Nice ambience. Service was attentive and friendly. Waited about 35 mins for food to arrive, so disappointed with that...was forwarned it was on expensive side...that was true.. 😒

A delightful tearoom in centre of the village. Very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Nice selection of food and wines for all tastes. Staff very friendly.

We went here for my Aunts surprise 70th. We had afternoon tea & it was amazing. The attention to detail was second to none. The food was amazing & nothing was too much trouble for the members of staff. We booked & because it is such a popular place I recommend you book too. A real hidden gem in the heart of Storrington.

This was my first visit back to Joanna’s since before the first lockdown. I took my little boy (4) for Joanna’s afternoon tea. He loved it and so did I. The staff are always so attentive and genuinely want to chat to little ones. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented. The place is spotlessly clean everywhere and the decor and decorative features are gorgeous. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’ve been here with friends, family and now both of my sons. We will keep returning!

Well, thought I would have a breakfast and a pot of tea. I was so disappointed with tea, it came in small plain teapot and one teabag! Being a tearoom I normally always get fresh tea leaves, pot of hot water. So felt underwhelmed. Almost £11.00 for a breakfast, that was okay, bacon wasn’t back bacon though. The toast was pretty hard as well🥴. It has lovely staff and a nice atmosphere, maybe try again, but it should be proper tea leaves.

We had a fabulous afternoon tea. Staff were lovely and helpful. The tearoom is gorgeous with chandeliers and pretty decor nothing has been left out. Our table was in a corner but we had plenty of room. My Granddaughter had her own afternoon tea and she was ecstatic about her serving. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate ! Two of our party don't have butter in sandwiches and this was noted and left out. If you don't like something on the afternoon menu there doesn't appear to be a problem in requesting alternatives. Great place for a girly get together and chat. Will revisit again soon. Thank you 🤗

Had a takeaway afternoon tea, wow it was amazing, so much from sandwiches, savouries, traditional fruit & plain scones with cream & Jam, beautiful cakes and an individual cheese cake pot. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented. What a lovely way to spend a lockdown afternoon with a glass of bubbles and a incredible afternoon tea. 30/08/21 Had a cream tea for two at Joanne's. The tea room is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the food is fabulous, fresh filled sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, jam & cream and assorted cakes - so so much and all delicious 😋

Absolutely fantastic tea rooms, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, I’m gluten free and vegetarian, it was all done, beautiful sandwiches and cakes, then doggie bag, Because we couldn’t eat it all!

We have visited Joanna’s a few times now. I just love this place. It feels classy and the food is great. Lovely Prosecco. The Welsh Rarebit is to die for, as is the afternoon tea, club sandwich and avocado breakfast. The service is excellent, and I love the cute Pink uniforms. Even the music they play is right up my street! Special mention to the lovely Freya who always goes above and beyond to make sure all customers are having a great experience, and the gentleman who works in there, sorry I’ll not sure of his name, but always so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for another lovely lunch. We will be back.

Really lovely place. Went there recently with my bestie for a long overdue catch-up. The decor is plush and the service is really attentive, making it feel really special. Kudos also to the gluten free afternoon tea. Very tasty! Even have gluten free pastries which I've never had anywhere. Will be back!

Had a lovely brunch here...... the design and decor is tranquil, feminine and classy. My only criticism would be that every item on the menu that included bacon, was streaky! How peculiar! Not even an option for back bacon! Kind of lowers the tone of the place. McDonald’s is the only other place I know that always has streaky bacon! Shame....

My partner treated us to takeaway afternoon tea for my birthday and we were not disappointed. The takeaway afternoon tea was just as good as visiting the tea room - lovely fresh sandwiches and scones and delicious cakes. It’s excellent value for money and great it was able to be delivered to Horsham.

Joannas did an excellent Italian takeaway that we really enjoyed. The meal was exceptionally tasty, cleverly packaged and as such, the presentation was maintained well during transit. At the pick up, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and had taken extra care to label the bags for our order. We would highly recommend them, and can't wait to hear about their next takeaway menu. 5 stars isn't enough! 🙂

Another lovely visit. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere. It poured with rain as we arrived but were greeted and sat down quickly. Our tea was piping hot and the food was tasty. The scones were warm, sandwiches and cakes fresh. All serveds had protective equipment on and made us feel at ease and welcome. We will be back again!

Our review today is for a takeaway, 'Joanna's Signature Family Roast'.... not just any roast but an extraordinarily superb roast and served as a takeaway today. The quality and quantity were excellent and as the name suggests it was exactly that... a family roast dinner, cooked to perfection. To receive a meal that was so freshly cooked it was still hot when it was delivered, required meticulous planning. Extreme care and thought had gone into the preparation and delivery to ensure that the quality and taste was not spoilt in any way during the takeaway procedure. We have been regular visitors to Joanna's since the first day they opened but sadly due to us shielding we have not been able to be there for far too long, to say we have missed our coffees, lunches, afternoon teas, evening platters and special evenings is an understatement. Joanna, Luca and their wonderful team have been consistent in the quality and service they provide. We can't wait for things to return to normal and Joanna's can re-open as before and continue giving our village the excellent boutique tearoom we know and love. Thanks to you all for making our Sunday so special.

We came here for my sisters birthday on the 18th October but due to having a review within the 3 months I was unable to do a review in October, my sister booked here, very good choice, as expected afternoon tea was delightful, lovely presented, service was good, although could be a little more attentive at times, I understand it was busy, the only reason I didn't give it excellent this time was that the tables were to close together so didn't feel covid safe, I did feel close to the table next to me, as I had nowhere to move my chair to so I felt quite uneasy and uncomfortable, the table next to me moved as much as they could, when I came last time we sat outside with my family so it was different, this time seating inside the experience was different, think there more interested in the amount of customers they can get in the tearoom than feeling covid safe, if they took a couple of tables out or not use these tables, this would have a feeling of yourself feeling less close to the next table, there was no question that they had everything there, hand sanitiser station, not allowed in until staff allowed it, they were wearing visors, wearing masks to the table and when getting up to use the bathroom facilities you had to wear masks but it was really how uncomfortable I felt at my table, everything else was fine.I think I'll only return when I can sit outside and if social distancing guidelines continue I won't be going inside, this will be difficult when I need to go inside when weather isn't good.

What a wonderful Afternoon Tea we had today. Treated a special friend to a birthday tea. Fantastic selection of finger sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, delicious cakes, macaroons and finished off with scones and clotted cream and glass of Prosecco (Thankyou)!Lovely, friendly staff who were very attentive, pretty table setting and great atmosphere.Really look forward to going back soon.

Ive given this a 4 star because of how the manager dealt with our visit. So my wife ordered the avocado which came off and i ordered the breakfast. Pointed this out and it was dealt with quickly including my breakfast being removed and replaced with no fuss. My wife stated her avocado breakfast was amazing but i have to be honest mines was fairly average. It was certainly not worth £11. Anyway our drinks were removed from the bill again without asking. Lovely atmosphere very clean and great service.

Me and my friend had an afternoon tea here, it was lovely! They had an assortment of sandwiches, pastries and sweet treats, which were delicious. Prosecco was not included but was a reasonable price. Gorgeous decor and lovely staff. Overall had a great lunch and would defo go again.

We visited for afternoon tea after receiving gift vouchers. The location was nice and the staff were very friendly. The food was very good but I was very disappointed that there was no dairy free/vegan option even after giving them a weeks notice.

Extremely slow service. Not enough staff on duty. Did not listen to order correctly. Food was tasty though. Won't go back sadly. Underwhelmed by overall experience sadly.

We didn't actually plan to come to this place, we heard about a hidden gem called Storrington waterfall, we then were a bit peckish, we came across this little gem of a place and thought we'd have lunch here, my goodness why haven't I been before, this was amazing, food was fantastic, attentive and great customer service, beautifully presented, I highly recommend this place 5⭐ ratingThis consists of childrens finger sandwich which was lovely to have thought about, I had the chicken, bacon and mayonnaise sandwich, my husband had the club sandwich, we then followed it by the whats called the top tier, which was so beautifully presented, the passion fruit posset was amazing, I didn't want to eat itWhat was so nice to find it was in the eat out to help put scheme I'd definitely return in the future and I'd definitely recommend you go to
