Jims Fish Bar in Nuneaton and Bedworth

I will never ever give this place my money again. You walk in and it's like being back in the depths of the plandemic. Hands face and space signs everywhere, a ridiculous pice of plastic that apparently is going to protect us all, and when mentioned to the deluded server, oh my god, the justification for it all was staggering. We are now in 2024 and more people are dropping from the medical intervention than during the alleged scamdemic because of people like her and businesses like that that were, are, to dumb to see the obvious and allowed it to get to this point. Because it was very very obvious what was going on. Again its 2024 and if you are still gobbling up the lies then it just shows how pathetic you are. So I will never give them my money again and suggest folks who are able to see past the bull do the same.

Only had Roe and a few chips. Read the reviews, ofcourse the reviews are top.

Best fish and chips in Nuneaton but expensive

I got served with no enthusiasm and got given the wrong order I asked for a lamb naan and got given a mixed naan which I didn’t enjoy.

Ordered take out, delivered on time, great quality food, driver was really polite!

I only had some chips, but they were delicious.

Food is always cooked exactly how you want, service is always quick even if there is a long que. Prices are on the high side but I feel like they make up for that with the portion size. Definitely recommend

Disappointed. Service was very slow from the young lady tonight, portion size very small compared to other chip shops for more money. I have used this chippy for over 35 years not anymore after today.

Local Chippy closed went to Jim's much better bigger portions had to eat my kebab in two sittings very nice.

The guys here strive to give you excellent crispy chips and battered foods, the service is usually quick and there is always a queue out of the door down the street. Don't let the line fool you, it does move quickly. We travel past 2 other chip shops in the area to get to Jim's.

May only be a humble local chippy, but Jim's is by far the best in the town. Food is always beautiful. I've always been a firm believer that if people regularly que for a place then food must be good. Jim's always has a que coming out the door and up the street. Staff are friendly to top of a great experience when going for a cheeky chippy dinner.

Food is good you can order online and at peak times you my have to queue up up for about 20-minutes.

Super Fish Chip and Pea special for £5.10, good VFM and cooked lovely. Server was a bit miserable though and matter of fact even though shop was empty passing the time of day wasnt her pay scale i think lol..

The best fish and chips you can find in the whole of Nuneaton. Fish cake is superb. Chicken tikka will have u queuing every single day for a bite. I even sleep dreaming of their food. Smile. Love Jim's

This is the best fish and chip bar in town! Staff are on point, food is good! -the only downfall is waiting time when it’s busy (the line can be up the street) but a sign of a good chippy!’

I have tried many chips shop places, they are hit and miss. I travel from the other side of town for Jims. Great value and ALWAYS great quality. Seriously the portion of chips are huge and great value and no matter what time of day or in the week you go, its great. I have been converted!

Food amazing as always, best chippy around. HOWEVER, after waiting 20 mins queuing in the pouring freezing rain (which I was more than happy to do) I finally managed to place my order and was then told to go and wait back outside until it was ready. Another customer came out and said ‘poor lad, can’t believe they’ve made you wait in the rain’. I was freezing, shivering and soaking wet through. Better systems need to be implemented eg: checking if people in the queue want fish so this can be ready, booking collection time slots, expanding delivery area etc...

Ordered fish and chips on line and had them delivered to our home. I preordered the meals earlier in the day and they were delivered at the time requested. Fish just melted in your mouth with a lovely crispy batter. Plenty of chips and a regular portion easily serves 2 people. Mini fish is a perfect size for me. Food lovely and hot when it arrived. Love this delivery service and a very reasonable cost for delivery.

Have ordered from here twice at lunch time the chips are greasy and the donner meat smelled odd. For the price I expected alot better

We've been going here for a few years now and in my opinion, Jim's is the best fish and chip shop around and the best take-away we've had in Nuneaton.The food is good (decent portion sizes) and the staff are pleasant and friendly, you can't ask for more.I'd recommend the mini-fish and chips!

Like the customer before wrote, I went in without a mask as I'm exempt from wearing one and stated this, and yes a really nice young girl served me but all I could hear was one of the servers ranting and raving about not wearing masks clearly aimed at me, I wouldnt have minded if they said they couldn't serve me as that's in the right to do so, but to allow this woman to go on and on not having any clue why I carnt wear one is disgusting, and if that happened in my workplace slagging a customer off I'd be sacked, even though i still think its sells the best chips in Nuneaton I will never step foot in there again.

Few months ago now I ordered a online order. It came over an hour late. Phoned them and explained and they were great and said once shop reopened I could have the money back. Well been in twice and no mention of it. Been in tonight and fair enough I had no mask as I’m exempt from wearing them as I have health issues. I was refused to be served which they are entitled once do so. I won’t be using them again for anything and I shall be going in a asking for my money back once I’ve calmed down from the humiliation as they all saw me standing outside without a mask and never said anything. but worse things is most of the staff know I’ve had health issues

I love the food from here, it is one of the best takeaway places in Nuneaton. My favorite is the Fish and Chips, but I have tried most of the menu. The portion sizes are generous and I rarely order extras, though if I do it has to be the battered mushrooms. The staff are always a giggle and give the place a really nice relaxed atmosphere. I find the prices for a takeaway to be reasonable as well.

Great fish he cooks it to your liking

I've been to a lot of chip shops and these guys have the best tasting by far. Every time I bring them home the family always comment on how nice the chips taste. Like the option of buying fish bites instead of a full fish or mini fish. Portion sizes are great too. Fair to say we are hooked... only chip shop we visit nowadays.
