Jimmy's in Banbridge

Best in town by far, excellent fish, light batter but chips rather greasy at times. Only thing lets them down is really unfriendly staff

I went in to Jimmy's to get chips when I got them there was a hair in them I went back in and got more chips they we re e undercooked and also had a hair in the second lot of chips I am very disappointed don't go here I am never going here again

Weird place, the resturant part is never open now due to covid and the staff seem like they want nothing to do with you. Never been served by people with such low energy, they don't even talk to you except to take your order. When i go into places around banbridge such as (random example) the macs chippy that jimmy's used to be located at, they talk, ask how my day was etc. I'd be lucky to get looked at for more than a second by Jimmy's staff. Also they have that obnoxious CCTV where you see yourself standing waiting on a big screen, piss off with that put someone on that tv for your customers, or a price list because here is a little hint for ya. People who are fat, overweight whatever tend to get a takeaway. If they see themselves on screen it's like hmm maybe i shouldn't i'm putting on a few pounds, bye! All in all screw this creepy place ill just keep going to the eurospar and get food there, this place is weird.

Great for lunchtime food-i eat there every time i'm working in Banbridge area-great food and very friendly staff-its an excellent place for takeaway food in the area

The fish and chip in this place is quality. We went on Sunday but it hadn’t opened yet so we went elsewhere which was awful! Made me realise how much to appreciate this place and write them a review! Please forgive us... we will wait next time for you to open!

I like to sit in and have a plaice and this time some sausages. It was fine,but as I have found Banbridge chippy s are stingy. Not even giving one chip. Jimmy's is clean and busy. Prices normal. I recommend it.

Probably Banbridge's best chippy. I have been here,mostly sit in a few times and it is clean and efficient. But it is stingy,because they do not give you even one free chip with your non chip items. I was met at the counter,where you pay first by a cheeky young school girl. She did nut I know what bread and butter was and it turned out they do not serve it. I ordered a plaice,and she turned to a staff member and asked what's a plaice? I eventually ordered a plaice,a pastie and tea. It took a while before the bare pastie and bare place was thrown down on my table by the same cheeky young madam without a word. No tea came for 5 minutes and I had to ask for it before a man who appeared like the boss brought it. The plaice was nice and not greasy.The pastie had a bit of spice and again was not greasy and tasty. I wish they had just given me 6 free chips as most chippies would. At at almost 8 pounds it worked out dear. But it is the only sit in chippy open and the food is good quality,so I will be back. If you can put up with my commend about it,then I recommend it to you. Sit in closes at 9pm. All closed on Sunday I think.
