Jeremy's at the Boat House in Calderdale

Had cocktails and they were awful (Strawberry Lush), maybe need a lesson from Villians and the Merlot was not nice either. Very busy with children running about.

Popped in with my in-laws for lunch. Had a friendly welcome and were soon served our drinks. I was really in the mood for a burger but the burgers being double patties put me off, as it sounded too much for me. The open steak sandwich looked a good alternative and was picked by two of us, with the roasted veg toasted sandwich and halloumi fries the third option. The food arriving at the table behind us looked and smelt great, as did ours. The steak was cooked just how we both wanted, tasty and not tough. Slight shame the caramelised onions were cold but that's just our preference. Thick chips were lovely and crunchy too. Halloumi fries were very delicately battered and tasty. We all enjoyed what we had and enjoyed seeing a different menu to other places. Tapas might be an option for the inlaws next time but so many tapas dishes have alcohol in them they're not an option for me.

The food has definitely gone downhill, this place had a great front of house manager pre and post covid, now it's overseen by young kids, more interested in their social work experience, than that of the customers. They never ask if you would like another drink, if food is ok or condiments. Cutlery is sharp like tin, salad gritty and chips cold. This place knows how to charge. I used to love this place, sadly paid my last visit. I was a weekly regular!

There was a 45 minute wait for food to be served. Tapas was dry and overcooked. Tea was very weak. Food was hot, the vegan lasagne very tasty and portion sizes are adequate.

Average at best. The staff are lovely but the service is very slow from the kitchen. Our drinks were very expensive, just under £10 for two lime sodas. The food is basic. My “Spanish Bocadillos” was far from Spanish. The cheese was so cold it seemed frozen and I couldn’t eat it. The toasted ciabatta was also cold like it had been ready long before everything else. My partner’s open steak sandwich was slightly better but again underwhelming for the price. Just my experience but there are far superior lunch options in the area for more reasonable prices.

First time going to Brighouse on a night out and Jeremy's was lovely. Nice decor, clean, spacious and the cocktails were amazing!!

Very good, all 6 of us tried different dishes, everyone enjoyed the choice they made; we had a bit of swapping between plates too, we came away very satisfied, well fed and 2 drinks each worked out at £25 pp. Only criticism was 4 meatballs isn't enough.

Came with my younger cousin for a pre Christmas meal, we pre-booked a table as everywhere tends to be busy with walk ins around xmas time and has no issues being seated. Had a lovely cocktail and mocktail selection so she didn't feel left out! Had a open steak sandwich & shared some nachos and she got a plain burger. Was appreciated as she is a little picky with food and enjoyed the burger alot. Nachos were just standard, you can't exactly go wrong with it. The honest star of the show would be the drinks and amazing ice cream desserts. Pricing is average for these times I'd say, lovely vibe and music and always seems to be busy, definitely will visit again to try more 😊

Food good but please don’t let us sit there for an hour before you come over and say your gonna have to leave because this table is booked .. you would have let us walk out the door without paying cause you have no clue what your doing .. good job we are honest and paid before you lobbed us out ..

We were introduced to Jeremy's on a recent visit to Brighouse by family who live in the area. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day on our own . The Tapas are fabulous , the staff are first class and the venue is spot on. We will definitely return when we visit the area again.

We went to birthday party, never been before. We liked the building, the atmosphere, location and mostly the food. Beer was well cared for too.

We visited at lunch time. We sat by a window overlooking the canal. I must say that the staff were very attentive and happy to serve us. We had hot sandwiches with chips which were very good and reasonably priced.

Could be so much better. Great location next to the canal, good sized beer garden, although a little tatty. Food was nice enough as far as tapas goes. Staff could be a little more attentive and the self service menus, cutlery and packet sauces cheapen the experience.

Six of us, all food arrived at same time and was fresh, hot and very tasty. Staff were all very polite and friendly. Excellent table service. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and everywhere including the toilets were very clean. Relaxed in lounge area with coffees. Super lunch.

Called on a lovely warm Monday evening so not so busy.They had run out of antipasto and the beef sharing plater so we went for a few of the tapas dishes.We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of these offerings, all were freshly cooked and served very hot. We had a lovely evening at Jeremy's last night. We ordered tapas and every dish was fantastic. We had garlic mushrooms, lamb meatballs, chicken and chorizo, garlic prawns and patatas bravas. We had a jug of sangria and everything was perfect. The service was excellent too, all of the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice too, it felt cozy and welcoming. We were lucky to have a table that looked out onto the canal. We cant wait to go back and bring some friends!

Nothing to grumble about...Lovely atmosphere, lovely food and the staff were welcoming. Definately worth a visit if your looking for somewhere to eat and drink in a chilled atmosphere

Me and my friend both dined here last week after being recommended. We both ordered the nacho chicken burger and it was absolutely disgusting! Firstly there was 3 nachos in each burger - not much point them being there! The chicken was chewy and grey in colour. We both left the whole chicken breast and therefore left with just chips and bread. The waitress came to collect and we advised about the chicken, it was definitely a cheap frozen chicken breast but she insisted it was fresh. We both buy fresh chicken on a weekly basis and this was not fresh! Despite us not eating it and complaining, when the bill came it wasn’t even discounted let alone removed. Would not recommend to anyone - very disappointed.

Lovely lunch out with family. Really like the decor and boat/canal views. Extensive menu and good portion sizes. Toilets clean and good hygiene measure in place. All but one member of staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The older lady seemed grumpy, kept walking away from the table when we were mid order and didn’t seem to know what she was doing. Maybe she was new. Otherwise fantastic place and would definitely go again. Thank you!

Visited here post lockdown with a couple of friends. Table was booked was seated straight away. Felt very organised with new rules and restrictions.Only went for drinks, all very reasonably priced. Nice cocktail menu and definitely the nicest passionfruit martini I've every had. Looking forward to out next visit

Had a great lunch here today! Decided on tapas and was not disappointed. Had the sharing Antipasti board and then 5 to share, as we were hungry, and there was plenty. Everything was lovely, tasty and fresh! Nice surroundings and great service! Couldn’t fault anything! Will be back.

Last night we waited for 8 guys to come out of the bar before we entered, only to be told that we couldn't come in because there was too many people in the pub? Strange that they let 8 people out but wouldn't let 2 in, even though there was loads of seating space outside. Turning custom away at this time, is not something we expected. Won't be trying again, that is for sure.

Easy to book table. Staff were great upon entering, very welcoming and had great advise and guidance when ordering.Menu choice and the food served was excellent. Really tasty, well presented and great portions. Drinks choices were great with loads to suite all tastes.Great atmosphere, with a large age range, all in all a great start to a great evening, looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here on a rare day without our little boy. The service was good. The lady who served our food was lovely. Very helpful, attentive and friendly and for a Tuesday afternoon the place was pretty busy with a decent atmosphere. We both ordered burgers. The food arrived in good time and was ample. The burgers were really tasty. Seasoned really well for my taste.The annoying thing was I ordered a side of peppercorn sauce but what arrived had never seen peppercorn sauce. It was a jug of warm cream and was tasteless. On check back, I told the server who apologised and took it back. She arrived back with it saying the chef had added more peppercorns and that was how it came. She also agreed that it was tasteless but said “you can’t argue with chefs” which is a poor excuse.We had coffee and cake but unfortunately the cake was dry and burnt on the edges so we didn’t really have much of it.All round the food and service was decent but the couple of little niggles let it down.

Visited over the weekend for a spontaneous spot of lunch with the husband. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We decided to both order tapas and decided to go for 3 dishes each including 2 from the specials menu. We enjoyed every one of them apart from the paella. This was very disappointing, it wasn’t paella rice and was very tasteless. I didn’t feel it was worth what we paid for it. Apart from that we enjoyed the dishes we ordered and would love to come back to try other meals from the menu.

Went to a birthday meal with friends last night. Food was excellent and I can recommend the ultimate burger Service very friendly.. And smiley faces with the staff. Will Certainly be going again

Came for lunch with friends and had a lovely time. Staff were friendly and helpful and the menu was substantial. We had tapas and enjoyed it very much. My friends had sandwiches which they enjoyed also. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Went with work colleagues for a bite to eat after work. Polite staff and nice surroundings. Food wasn’t as good as I was hoping after reading some of the reviews. Has a burger and I found it to be very salty and over seasoned, repeated on me all night. Don’t think I’ll be rushing back.

We've eaten here a few times now and it's always great food. My parents aren't local so it's somewhere we head to when they visit. I love the fact they do tapas dishes as this is ideal for lunch. Everyone really enjoyed their food and it came out in a timely manner. It also has a lovely comfortable atmosphere which was nice if you're after a chilled Sunday. We'll definitely keep returning.

Me and my partner have just left Jeremy's and I am raging! We went for a lovely break away from the kids to listen to the fabulous one man band and have some food.The food was lovely and we were wanting a dessert but we could not stand to be there a moment longer! A young toddler was playing...this I am absolutely fine with because I couldn't hear him...it was the 20 something lad rolling around the floor and shouting like he was on a rugby pitch that ruined it. He shouting and falling to the floor like he was in his own living room! The poor staff had to step over them! Why on Earth they didn't tell them to calm it I dont know?! There was a couple behind us who were visibly livid and the couple bedside us said they were going to eat but got up and walked out! We are now taking our custom elsewhere for dessert!! Its triggered my anxiety and I now need to calm down! My partner has never seen me so angry! The staff knew we were mad as they didn't dare ask if everything had been ok!!! Needless to say we won't be returning!! Nice place but shame rowdy customers aren't asked to keep it down. We could barely hear the singer!!

We are regulars here for the tapas Tuesday offer which is excellent value. There is a good range of dishes to choose from and it changes regularly, there is a good range of meat, fish, cheese and vegetable dishes on the tapas and it is good to mix them up a bit. They also do excellent deserts, but they are huge so sharing is the best option. We will keep coming back for the Tapas Tuesday and maybe venture into other evenings as well.

Called in the boathouse on the way to a wedding, it was pouring down with rain but my partner smokes so we sat outside by the river, ( undercover), it was lovely and relaxing despite the weather, great location,only had drinks, but would definitely call again.

Only has a small parking area, so I was unable to park outside. The restaurant has lovely views, but a little dark inside. Friendly staff. The choice of food was not to my taste, but the rest of my party did enjoy hot beef sandwich and chips with drinks.

If you fancy everything fried and heavy with oil this is the place for you .sorry i will never eat here again

My girlfriend and I visited and despite there being 5 members of staff behind the bar only 1 of them was actually serving. Tried to ordered food but was continuously ignored and was then told that they had no beef after trying to order burgers. From what I could gather they had been accepting burger from other customers despite this being the case so they were to go around telling them. Staff were arguing with eachother behind bar. Ended up going elsewhere.

Website says they serve food until 8pm on a Monday. Turn up at 7.30, get drinks and sit down. Try to order just one portion of nachos at 7.45, get told they only serve bookings after 7.30. Waitress promptly then serves the table behind us who turned up after us. Strange place.

Great location by the water. Food cooked fresh with every order. Bar extensive, especially the gins. Gluten free options too.

It was a wet day and that may have put us in a sombre mood, but the table by the window was a bonus. There were 3 of us and we ordered salmon in Parma ham (x2) and mushroom risotto (x1). The salmon arrived after a (longer than we had hoped) wait, with an apology that ravioli had been prepared instead of the risotto, so there would be an even longer wait for that. When it did arrive, the good news was that the garlic bread was good, but the risotto was more like Ambrosia rice pudding with mushrooms - there was no texture or signs of the rice grains, and most of the risotto went uneaten. When the dishes were collected at the end of the meal, there was not much compunction when I complained about the rice, not even a "would you like a coffee on the house?" It's unlikely that we shall be going there again, not even for the bar lady who served us with drinks and almost smiled at one point

Came for a drink during the 40s weekend. It was nice to be away from the busy town centre but the bar had still made a good effort to keep in theme with the weekend.

We were in Brighouse to visit a retail outlet and Jeremy's was suggested for a light lunch hence I can only comment on this .Fish finger sandwich was tasty and had good portions of fish . Tuna and cheese melt sandwiich was also enjoyable.Both were accompanied by freshly cooked fries and a generous helping of coleslaw.The restaurant was not over busy at the time of our visit-the food was served promptly-serving staff were pleasant and helpful There are extensive outside eating areas in addition to the interior.Car parking is limited-hence you may have to park elsewhere if you visit.

Nice place inside but food was not good, ordered Jeremys classic burger which had a weird smell too it and the taste not nice at all, The starters were the tasty part and a glass of coke were the best things on the menu,Never have I enjoyed the starter and not the main and we were never asked if everything was okay opon settling the bill which says it all thank you Jeremys.

Jeremy’s at the Boatyard has a lovely aspect to the rear overlooking the moored barges, therefore the tables at the back of the building are naturally taken first.

Came here tonight for me and my fiancé ‘s anniversary wanted to come for ages and it was worth the wait! It was burger night and it is such good value for money. Atmosphere is lovely and the staff were really good and friendly. Shout out to the manager who looked after us, such a polite guy who was very helpful. CANT WAIT TO COME BACK!

Me and two friends went here for tapas and wine. They did a deal where you got so many tapas dishes with discounted bottle of Wine. This went down a treat. All food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Would defo recommend this place.

Ate there Monday lunch. We both had the same burger with chunky chips. Burger wasn’t the best but not as bad as the ‘chips’. These had clearly been cooked before. Some were so hard I couldn’t even put my knife in them. Disappointing meal. But, worse was to come. We both were ill with the food soon after, not sure which part! Was going to email them re this but as there is no email address this wasn’t possible.

Great night out culminating with drinks, cocktails and dancing to a great rock band called DNA. Staff were quick and efficient even though the place was full . Will be back again soon.

We visited on a Friday lunch time and ordered a few dishes from the tapas menu, thinking it would all come out in little dishes we were surprised with how big the portions were (we definitely over ordered ). All dishes were delicious! And it was great value for money! Service was really good, all staff were friendly and attentive. Really great place, will visit again!!!

Six of us at a family lunch with grandparents, parents and grown up grandkids. We had a mixture of burgers, jacket potato and hot beef sandwich. All of us enjoyed our meals which were very tasty and good portions. Great service all round and good atmosphere at reasonable prices.

My wife and I are regular visitors to Jeremy's and are always welcomed by the staff who treat us so well. I cannot remember all the staff members names but they are all great. Mat looks after us and is a great guy. Good food menu and a variety of entertainment on Friday-Sunday evenings. Enjoy a San Miguel and white Pino then Jeremys is the place.

We went as a large group and pre ordered. Unfortunately I don't think they started cooking until we were all there so we waited for ages to get the food. When it came it was very nice. For dessert they made a vegan coconut and orange tart which was very moreish. Will go again.

Been here a few times and said not too bad but this time not too good I’m afraid. I had a pint of lager,wife a small glass of coke, 2 burgers, one chicken,one Jerry special burger both ok but that’s all. We waited 40mins for them,I understand that they are made fresh but for crying out loud. When we finished the waitress cleared the table saying “av yer dun” not was that ok. Not a lot to ask is it? At £26 was I expecting too much. Sorry, but we won’t be back

Decided to give Jeremy a try. Noticed that Tuesday's tapas was on the menu yesterday so gave it a try. Nice range of tapas and good value for money. Nice people and a very different place to eat.

Large family group went there for lunch, It pays to be organised and will save you a lot of time.If you can get everyone to down load the menue from their web site. Staff very friendly and good food choices.

Popped by to grab some food. I found the decor and environment pleasant, with the most friendly and helpful bar staff. However my sandwich came out with a good amount of filling but on very average bread, which didn't hold together when eating. I battled through eating a sbest I could, but the whole dish would of been better by using a better quality loaf. The chunky chips however are super chunky and a must for all you chunky chip lovers!! Although they don't give you that many... Maybe I'm just a glutton, but when the chips are that good I'd like more!! Slightly less filling, better quality bread and a few more chips and you're there!! Will be back next time I'm in the area!

Been meaning to give Jeremy’s a try for years, not disappointed. Friendly staff, good value food and drinks. Had 8 Tapas, all good, unusually all came at same time, qualified for the drink discount. Selection of wines a little limited and unusual. GBP85 for meal for 4 plus wine and beer.

We visited today, and it’s only the second time we’ve visited, the first was a couple of years ago.

Had lunch here last Sunday and again this Saturday this week had the two burger offer £12 extra for cheese and onions etc came in a basket food lovely staff nice really is A lovely place to come

There was one particular waiter that was absolutely lovely - but that was the only positive about our experience. Me and my partner decided to come for food here, but what a mistake. I had carbonara but it was NOT a carbonara !! The sauce was watery, there was no pancetta and it was lacking any sort of cream or cheese element (you could add chicken but that was an extra £3!!!). Basically it was pasta in a leek broth (yes they put leek on a carbonara). My partners was a paella, although tastier than mine, was still way below standards. We found a massive chunk of plastic in our fish starter - we complained and the waiter dealt with it very well HOWEVER we were told we would get money off the bill following this event - only 50p was deducted. Overall, the drinks were lovely and the bar is in a great area, perfect for a sunny day. I just would not recommend going for food :(

Visited for a Sunday brunch whilst passing through on the canal. Staff were friendly, service good, and food tasty. Reasonable price too.

A nice menu, but surprised the Spanish omelette has been removed. I had a chicken and bacon salad which was lovely. There was no salad cream available and staff weren’t interested in getting any. My friend wanted some for her ham salad sandwich and even with a supermarket next door none could be sourced. We enjoyed the location and being able to look out at the canal basin, but thought the food, although nice was a bit expensive and the service wasn’t great.

As a group of 4 we visited for lunch. Served coffees from a polite young man and food orders taken swiftly.

Visited here on Saturday night before going elsewhere for a meal, great selection of cocktails available. My wife is an avid gin drinker and the selection of gin’s available is impressive. Busy but still nice and chilled out atmosphere, plenty of places to sit both inside and out, to be fair wish we had stayed for the rest of the night but will definitely be returning as the food looked delicious.

Went here for a friends birthday, ordered the chilli con carne, there was no flavour it was just spice it was tasteless and could have done with cheese & more nachos.

Great atmosphere on a relaxed Thursday night, not overly busy but just enough of a buzz. Great selection of cocktails all well priced. My favourite is the hoochy mamma

We went for our anniversary sat outside for a bit in the sun, patio area very nice plenty tables, we ordered tapas but we ordered far too much, but everything was delicious and the wine was stunning, would recommend going, we shall again.

Although I wouldn’t rave about this place it it good. The food was lovely, basic pub fayre nothing fancy. Lovely setting on the canal basin.

We had a Saturday lunch here, it was extremely busy but we were sorted out with seats. There was a little wait as you would expect, but it was worth the wait. The food was really good well presented and tasty. The only thing that is a bit of a problem is the noise level, if you want a conversation you may have to raise your own voice. This is due to the open plan design of the building.
