Never a bad takeaway my go to place brilliant

A little diamond of a restaurant with such good food and service.

We have had better meals out in melton the food was nice but sadly it wasn’t enough we would have had more food if we would have had a takeaways from here.

My wife treated me to a birthday meal at this excellent restaurant on March 8th. We ordered the banquet meal for two. The food was so delicious, and the service was next to none, bearing in mind it was a Friday evening with three large parties in. You are always greeted with a smile , be it for a eat in meal or a takeaway.

This evening was our first visit to jasmine house & it definitely won’t be the last. Excellent friendly service, wide menu, good choice of beers & fantastic food. Starters, mains & a few drinks & all lees than £70, fantastic value

We have always had lovely meals from here in the restaurant but our recent take away was awful. The duck was so charred we couldn’t shred it, the lemon chicken was so tough and overcooked we couldn’t even chew it and the prawns which weren’t supposed to be really spicy took the roof of our mouth of. Disappointingly it was a total waste of money.

What a hidden gem. We visited it on a Sunday night and the place was packed. Endless stream of takeaways for collection signals that the food was going to be good. Starters of smoked chicken, curry vege samosas were delicious. The prawn on toast were proper. Mid course of aromatic crispy duck comparable to best Chinese restaurants in London. Steamed sea bass, sweet sour prawns, claypot taufoo seafood were flavoursome and tasty Finished of with fritters and pancake ice-cream, grand children fav. Mei and Alex have done a great job and existed for 20 years. Congrats and your personal service made our visit memorable n will come again. Melton Mobray is famous for pork pies and JT Edison, my fav author about the wild west but never got a chance to see where he lived. Wrote amazing books on cowboys. Remember Dusty Fog. I think the 3rd celebrity is jasmine house.

Good meal with friends for a birthday.

Nice food but I would stick to takeaway as restaurants portions are small and extremely expensive

Really quick and friendly service. This is our go-to for Chinese. We’ve tried others in Melton and surrounding , but none come close to the quality, freshness, and customer service we consistently receive from Jasmine House. Mai is always welcoming and we’re fortunate to have such a top notch Chinese restaurant for our monthly treat!

Have to say the food was amazing at the Jasmine House where we ate last night. Lovely staff/Owners I’m guessing and a very nice atmosphere. The prawn toast was the best I’ve ever had anywhere as was the entire meal. All in all a very enjoyable meal with great service. Would highly recommend and I look forward to returning again soon.

A lovely chinese restaurant and take away. Mai couldn’t have been any more helpful on the night we got a take away. Taxis are none existent in Melton. Thank you once again. Food was delicious!

We managed to find Jasmine House by accident. How lucky were we. Absolutely wonderful food and a family welcome. We will now become regulars.

We came here for my birthday last night! It was top notch amazing! From the moment we sat down we were well looked after and ordered a drink. Large selection of drinks, including spirits. We ordered a lot of food between us. Highly recommend the satay chicken, which is included in the Jasmine house’ starter. Crispy chilli beef was the best I’ve ever had. The food in general was 5 star! The waiter was lovely too. Highly recommend and we will come again for sure! We live in Oakham so didn’t have to travel far. I’m physically disabled so needed to park on the street. Parking is free after 6pm if you can find a space, if not Morrisons is a short walk.

We hadn’t booked on a Friday evening and the lovely owners managed to get us a table with not too long a wait. I am so glad they did, what a wonderful meal. A nice selection of dishes to choose from, all came out freshly cooked and piping hot. The staff were so attentive and friendly considering how busy they were. One to return to on our next visit to Melton Mowbray.

First time at this restaurant and it was totally amazing food service. Everything will definitely definitely be going back very soon.

We visited The Jasmine House last night 29th. We started with the mixed starter, substantial on its own. We then chose a Duck in Plum Sauce plus a Prawn dish and special fried rice. We have eaten at this restaurant many times, and it just gets better .

I absolutely love Jasmine House! The food is consistently amazing, and their sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style is an absolute must-try. I've been a loyal customer for years, and in my opinion, they're the best Chinese takeaway in the area. A definite 5-star experience every time!

Visited the area the weekend just gone. Decided to order take out food and came across Jasmine house after a search for Chinese food on Google. So glad we did! Thee best Chinese takeaway we've had. Wish our local Chinese restaurants were as good as Jasmine House, we only live a couple of hours away! Their food was worth the trip alone. The lady on the phone and at the collection was lovely and friendly too!

Had a wonderful meal here tonight with my mum. The staff were friendly and polite , place very nice and clean and the food was delicious. Best prawn crackers I’ve ever had.

We had a fixed meal for two and it was excellent. Very substantial starter course, we wondered if we'd got the wrong item but no, the second course came and again was superb. Place was packed and we can understand why.

We were in the area and thought we'd just nip in on the off chance luckily we got the last table for 2... wow what can I say salt and chilli spare ribs were superb along with chicken won ton to start with was banging! Our mains were fillet steak in black pepper sauce, crispy chilli beef and egg fried rice we would definitely recommend this restaurant and if were passing we will definitely come back

I ordered a take away and explained I have a severe shellfish allergy. The staff were amazing accommodated my allergy changing items I couldn’t have to suit me! Over all the food was amazing! 1000% would go back and recommend to everyone!!

We recently held a 60th birthday for around 30 people the food was great and the customer service was great nothing was to much trouble for them. All the guest also commented on how good the food was.

Absolutely great Chinese. Catered for us as a last minute table late on a Sunday night, the staff were so lovely and even let us stay slightly passed closing time to wait in the warm for our taxi which was very nice. Food was lovely and great value.

My husband and I have just visited this area for a few days and this restaurant has excellent reviews so we thought we’d try it. We were not disappointed. The husband and wife team who own the restaurant are charming, friendly, professional, and helpful. We ordered the set Canton meal and substituted one dish for the chicken teriyaki. Everything was fresh and delicious. We’d definitely be back if we are ever over this way again. The Buddha beer and the sake were good. The fortune cookies were a nice touch too.

As good a Chinese as you will eat anywhere. Lots of choice including some Thai and Malaysian!

MrDW choose this place, I was a bit dubious due to large amounts of food that you get & can’t eat. I’m a one course woman. It was an interesting looking place, small, & very busy. We had complimentary prawn crackers in a most delicious sauce. MrDW ordered the spare ribs in honey for himself, but always expects me to eat half. Although I love honey I’d’ve preferred a BBQ sauce, but it didn’t stop me tucking in. I can’t remember what he had for the main & neither can he, but he really enjoyed it. It had to be Nasi Goreng for me, this is a dish that I’ve always enjoyed during my travels. As I greedily eyeballed a small bowl placed on the table in front of me I thought that there didn’t look much. However, this small bowl appeared to be bottomless, & I had about 4 bowls of this yummy delight from my actual eating bowl. How on earth we carried our massive bellies home I will never know. I did manage to force the complimentary fortune cookies down at the end of the meal though, it would’ve been rude not to. This doesn’t happen often but it’s the sort of place where you go for the first time & feel like you already know the people who run it. I’d highly recommend!

Brilliant atmosphere plenty of life, only small premise so must book table well in advance, service is brilliant very attentive, food is brilliant all fresh and homemade, family run as well

Absolutely superb food - Had around 18 meals over 12 months and ALL have been very very good. We do a one hour round trip to visit them as they are so good. Friendly staff and prices very fair.

Although we visited on a Thursday evening the restaurant was busy. A good sign and a mix of table sizes, regulars and new customers. Food and service was excellent. This was our first visit having been recommended by others and by looking at the reviews. We will certainly be back. We highly recommend.

Our favourite Chinese restaurant. May is always so welcoming and friendly, the food is always consistently excellent and good value. This is the best Chinese restaurant in the region bar none!

What can I say about this place - the best Chinese cooking I have ever had. Beautifully fresh ingredients cooked with love and care. Just like " home" cooking. Service is also fantastic and generous portions. Truly excellent in every way.

Absolute gem! If you're in Melton Mowbray this is a restaurant you must visit. Accommodated 12 of us. Set menu was gorgeous, value for money and worth a return.

This Restaurant/takeaway is situated on the main street in Melton Mowbray. Parking is limited but if you get a parking space is right outside l, after 6pm it's free. Food is typical English Chinese food. Tasty and hot. I would have preferred more spicy, but my fault for not asking for it. Definitely try the budda lager.

If you want great chinsese food, a warm reception and great service, this is the place. I've eaten here several times and never been less than delighted. It's an absolute must if you are in Melton Mowbray. I love it here!!

Fabulous take away. The food was fresh and the vegetables were delicious together with the egg foo and rice. Would certainly recommend here and will be going again soon.

My friend and I visited close to Christmas. We expected it to be crowded because it is a highly sought after venue so the large noisy table having a works Xmas party did not bother us. The food was excellent and I would highly recommend...

We booked and ate here for a family birthday celebration and all the dishes were absolutely superb as was the service and we were all able to enjoy catching up as the atmosphere was just right with no loud music. This has been our go to place for take away during the last last two and a half years of the pandrmic and it was wonderful to return to eating in as a family here. The two sittings booking system works very well to ensure that service is efficient and personal while atmosphere is friendly and intimate. I would recommend this as the best Chinese restaurant to eat in the whole local area. Do book well in advance at weekends and busy times but takeaway service is very fast and good value too.

Again another fantastic meal from jasmine House! We come here around once a month and we absolutely love the food here! And the staff are so amazing too they remember my order everytime I call. Never had a bad meal from them. The food is amazing! Thank you again for a beautiful meal 😋

We took our work team out for a meal on Friday evening to Jasmine House and were thoroughly pleased with the food and service. Such a great selection of dishes - some of the best Chinese food we have had in a very long time. Well worth a visit.

Really good Chinese takeaway and sit down (if you prefer) extremely good food, massive choice that includes Malaysian, Thai and Japanese as well as Chinese. I never go anywhere else

Been here three times. The BEST Chinese I've ever had. I don't usually like Chinese because it's often greasy and sits heavy on the stomach, even the morning after. But Jasmine House is proper fresh home cooked food. Slowly working through the menu and definitely coming back for more.

Good food & reasonable prices. We've generally had takeaway food from them.

Visiting the area for a week, decided to order a takeaway. We ordered a chicken curry, egg fried rice, chicken foo yung and chip's, it was the best Chinese we have had. It was very tasty and delicious. Will order again on our next visit.

We hired the whole restaurant on their normal night off. Food, Lucky Buddha beer and service was excellent. Food was delicious, served in a timely fashion and hot.
