I had lunch with a friend in the newly refurbished bistro. Much more airy and spacious than previously. Lunch menu had a range of choices. We both had haddock and chips. Main menu also available but quite expensive for lunch.

Had a relaxed business dinner at JSS. The James St plate and the roast brill were a good combination. The Negroni was underwhelming but this is a minor quibble given the comfortable room, impeccable service and reasonable prices.

Lovely restaurant , that is being extended ! They had a fine dining restaurant beside their more casual restaurant , and now the more casual restaurant is being extended , lovely food popular with both locals and tourists alike . Killer cocktails not to be missed !

14/12/2018: Very busy on a Thursday night but good atmosphere. A party of 10 - all pre ordered but had to order again at the table. Service was prompt and efficient and drinks and starters out in no time. Starters where petit, the goats cheese and fig salad was very tasty. Had the mains of turkey and ham and several of the party had to return their meals as they were cold. Dishes were well presented and the turkey ham was plentiful. The fish dishes looked nice, as did the lamb but I would have been disappointed if I'd have paid a £5 supplement for the steak. Deserts were 'ok' and again £3 extra for the cheese board with frozen solid grapes and a lack lustre assortment of cheeses.
11/11/2018: My wife and I were taken aback by the size of the place which doesn’t appear as big from the outside!
