The restaurant forgot to include the salad I ordered and the goat curry was better the last time I ordered it when it had potatoes in it. Otherwise great.

I have been waiting for a refund since February 10 2022 as the wrong food was delivered.

We’ve had food delivered twice and eaten in once and every time the standard hasn’t changed each time. Always amazing and the cocktails are the best we’ve had since moving around here!

Went there on a Friday evening for a catch ip with a mate. Absolutely cracking food. I love the fact that it was so authentic, rather than changed to be bland or some weird fusion. Great value for money too. The staff were attentive and also told you politely when they couldn’t get to you right away - expectation management! Great music all night and a friendly, relaxed vibe all evening.

The best food in town, good portions great delivery and very reasonably priced!! Cannot fault them!! 6 stars if I could!!

Came down on Sunday My chicken curry was so so salty Yukkkk Rice and peas were delicious I just couldn't eat salty food Very disappointed

Last time I visited the Jamaican Lounge, I thoroughly enjoyed your Red Bean Soup. It had little long dumplings, strips of yams and even some salt beef. So when I repeated it this evening, I had 2 massive cartwheels for dumplings, plus the long dumpling, no yams, no salt beef and it was like a stew instead of a soup and here I am on a low carb diet (very disappointed). However your Rice and Peas and Oxtail was nice. My Husband enjoyed it. E. Denton.

Food arrived super early. Mac&Cheese is more like a Penne Bake but Brown Stew Fish is beautifully seasoned 10/10. Love the Festival, best ones!

We had promised we would eat here at some point as it's quite close and it's good to support local businesses. However, it did not start well. It was 10 mins before somebody asked to take an order and they only had 1 menu we had to share. They asked us for our order after asking a table of 5 for theirs when they came in after us. The weren't ready and as the server turned round, she asked if we had been served! We place our food and drinks order at the same time. Well another 10 mins went by and we thought we saw our drinks coming but no, they were taken to the table of 5 but didn't take any other drinks to them and they later had to ask for them too. Next our food came but still no drinks, this was a different server and he was very apologetic and went to get our drinks. I ordered the jerk chicken with peas and rice. The rice was fine and the jerk sauce very tasty but it was coating a very sparse chicken leg which I didn't think was very good value for £12 with hardly any meat on it. The female server who served us also served the other tables and didn't seem to be very attentive and ourselves and 2 adjacent tables all had to chase for our drinks. In short, I would not return as we were never made to feel welcome and it may be OK having all the front open on a warm night but it was chilly and noisy with constant traffic. This should be and could be so much better and we would have loved to say we could go regularly but we won't be returning, sorry.

The food was lovely, amazing presentation and the customer service was also very excellent however two friendly young staff got furiously shouted at in front of the restaurant by a male worker which i’m not happy about and don’t know if i’ll be coming back

First time ordering. Food wasn’t authentic. Salad was missed out of the order. The plantain was good but coleslaw was poor and the sauce on the chicken tasted quite readymade. Also took an hour and half to deliver. Quite a poor experience.

Can improve drastically. This is a great place and it would appear the chefs can cook great food. However it’s been let down by poor quality food used. Nobody wants to eat the neck of a chicken when ordering food. Two thirds of the “chicken meat” had to be discarded as it was mainly gristle and neck bones in the curry chicken and stew chicken. The jerk chicken was better with large portion of breast meat. That said I have tasted better jerk chicken in JA street vendor. The stew chicken was full of salt and sadly couldn’t finish it without feeling sick. They always seem to be out of fish meals too. The positive is the coleslaw was delicious as well as the plantain. Words of advice- have a brief discussion with your staff each day to let them know what dishes are available. Stop serving cheap cuts of chicken. No one likes to eat the neck of the chicken or sun par cuts. Only serve leg, thigh and breast. In the long run your customers will enjoy the food. Go easy on the salt. Please don’t batch cook food and reserve days later. People in the food industry will know. Let your chefs visit other places that sell jerk chicken. See what aspects of their cooking which can be improved. Remember people have visited the Caribbean so they know what to expect when it comes to “traditional dishes”. This place is a gold mine but can and needs to be improved drastically. Small changes can go a long way

I normally order from Roy's but yesterday my order was disgusting and uneatable I throw out my food, I am surprised as they meals was great before, not sure if the chef changed

Was surprised at the portion. One piece of chicken for 6 quid. Food is tasty but didn’t realise the portions were so small. Next time will order 3 portions.

Ordered food for my partners birthday. Altho the food was nice I had to wait over 1.5 hrs for food to be delivered. Staff customer service was not the best

Very unhappy with the hard food part of my order can not be eaten.

I’m totally dissatisfied with my order, the dumpling and festival were inedible, the Mac & cheese was oily and wings tasted like the were cooked 2 days ago, the soup was fine but that’s the last time I’m ordering as this isn’t the first time I was unhappy with my order.

Disgusting customer service .. food was an hour and half late!! It turned up stone cold!! And was told that the manager would ring me to sort it out etc and no one has rang me and this happened a week ago!!

I never got rice for my fry chicken or my grape soda. I was a little disappointed with my fish :(. Was not throughly cooked and soft as my previous orders. Will order again though, had to wait some time but I was happy with the service I received. As much as I was hungry I appreciated the lovely lady kept me updated with the food preparation time. Loved the rice peas, coleslaw & plantain.

Drove here to get a takeaway. Got home my rice had been forgotten. Very slow service. Couldn’t eat the curry without the rice so left it till the next day. Opened up my curry was very cheap ingredients, old cuts of pepper and cabbage. Then the final blow found nasty bits of fatty meat in the curry. Absolutely disgusting. How did meat end up in the curry something seriously wrong there. Was going to go and sling it back at them but just too far and when I did go they were shut.

Food is great (aside from the piece of plastic in the peppered steak!) DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY VIA JUST EAT UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT 2HRS+. The staff are young girls who are rude and don't really care. If the food is not on schedule they mark it delivered on just eat, but the food hasn't even left the shop. I ordered at 6.30pm the food didn't arrive until 8.38pm. Just eat said it was delivered at 7.15pm. The staff don't take any responsibility. They blame their delivery driver, who took 4 other orders at the same time as mine, some to HA5 and I live in HA4. They took 45mins from leaving the restaurant to get to my house! Its a shame because the food is great, they just need to change their attitude, I wont order from there again as this has happened too many times now.

Was recommended Roy’s Jamaican cuisine by a dear friend of mine and words cannot describe how amazing the food was! The brown stew chicken literally melted in your mouth and was seasoned to perfection. The jerk chicken was so succulent and tasted divine! Also the portions are very generous and freshly cooked! Unfortunately I’ve found this little hidden gem just before lockdown! Don’t know what’s gonna be harder - being in lockdown or not being able to order Roys food! A must if you want traditional Jamaican food!

Rang the restaurant 2 times. First time they said the driver was 20 minutes away. I rang again the second time to be told the driver was 5 minutes away.

had a delicious meal of Jerk chicken, rice and peas, dumplings and plantain . Was very impressed with the food quality. I was a bit taken back that there was no requirement to fill in a track trace form . Further none of the waiters or serving staff were wearing their masks properly . It was simply around the neck and iwas concerned at the absence of this important covid safety regulation. This needs to be rectified . Great food otherwise. Would have given a 5 if it were not for the covid issues.

Ordered food at 7:30pm, food was due at 8:45pm, so over an hour as it is, 9pm come, and still no food. I had to chase this up multiple times only to be told there was an error on delivery. The food did not turn up until 9:55pm! May as well call it a whole 2 and a half hours after placing the order. So not only was it this late, but of course the food was also luke warm because it was late! Not only this, but our order was missing 1 rice, all the complimentry salad, 2 patties and the plantain despite paying for all of these. To say this is a disappointing experience with this restaurant is a huge understatement.

I booked a table for 3 online but when we arrived the staff hadn't prepared a table so we ended up squeezing onto a small table where a lady with a pushchair was waiting for a takeaway. We weren't asked if we wanted any drinks, we were just ignored. After waiting at our table for 10 minutes I decided queue at the till to order our food. I was left standing at the till for another 10 minutes before someone took our order. Once sat back at my table we hoped someone would at least bring our drinks over to us. Another 15mins went by and still no drinks. My family and I decided to give it 10 more minutes and if we didn't see any food or drinks after that time we would leave. 10 minutes went by and still no food or drinks, so we left and went to Rajoot Indian over the road, which was busier, but still got us seated and with drinks on our table within 5 minutes. The lady with the pushchair was still waiting when we walked out! No covid restrictions we in place. The menus were sticky. There staff all looked too young and inexperienced to handle the job and had no services skills. A waste of 45mins.

Around 15 mins after placing the order, I received a call saying items are out of stock. After picking new items. I had to get an updated delivery time after 8:10pm went past. It updated to 8:20pm. At 8:25pm I received a call saying there was no rice and peas. And that the order will be sent out in 5 mins. At 9pm I started calling the restaurant and my call was not being answered. My order then arrived at 9.20pm, however one of the items were missing and all of the food was lukewarm. The restaurant wouldn’t mark the order as complete so I am currently unable to receive a refund for the missing item

Chicken soup tasted like it had gone off. Honestly disgusting I seriously feel I’ll after eating it.

Wrong order received. Ordered chicken and received fish. Half portions. Arrived late and cold. Ordered carrot punch and received small polystyrene cup for £4.50. Total rip off. Called them and they denied it being wrong order and couldn't justify pathetic cup of carrot punch. Tried calling back and now not answering. Very expensive and no way worth it. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Ordered from here only a few days ago portion size was small but the food was ok. Today’s food arrived half the containers are empty. Called to explain the problem the lady on the had starts talking over me... no customer service what’s so ever. I’m talking and all she could say is I did not say that. I never once said she said anything I was explaining the portion size. When it’s £4 for vegetables the container should not be a quarter full. Rice was just over half full. Ordered days ago how can the portion size change so much. NEVER AGAIN. Very argumentative woman, definitely not coming back. Do you research people.

I ordered the food at 7:14pm. It had an arrival time of 8:35pm (which is already quite late) then it arrived a further 15 minutes later.

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for the food to arrive, it came just about warm (not hot). Called to ask where our delivery was and was waiting for the manger come to the line for approx 20 minutes, and then her response was that we were being rude to her (we weren’t). Delivery driver said he had 5 orders to deliver in one go so no wonder the food wasn’t hot. Didn’t even receive an apology from the manager. Would rather go south London, pay half the price and can walk there quicker!

it’s a real shame to leave them a bad review because the food is/was really good but the service is very poor! over 30 mins late and the Attitude of the staff when calling to ask how long it would be was appalling to say the least, rude, arrogant and not they way someone should be talking to a customer who is trying to support a local business! I hope this is just a blip and they were having a bad day but no need to take it out on paying customers that keep you in business

Ive previously lived in jamaica and i must say Jamaican Cuisine is one of the few caribbean restaurants in the uk that serve authentic caribbean food. its the only place i go when ever im feeling for a caribbean. i wouldnt recommend anywhere else. staff are friendly, foods good, good vibe, good portion sizes value for your money. parking right outside the restaurant & front is all glass so u can see outside and dine in kick back and listen to reggae music while indulging in a ackee& salt fish with hard food, jerk chicken, curry goat etc. Can also order and pick up which i usually do when im busy . couldnt recommend this place more 5*****
