Nice meal on a busy Friday night , staff looked under pressure so not much chat from then. Had kids and someone in our group with a pram which there wasn't really room. Food was decent albiet a touch on the expensive side

Disappointing lunch (4) miserable portions of fish(salmon,sea bass, hake) I had fish( hake) + chips. £18 , very poor quality, batter horrible. Champ was ordered, never came. Nice setting outside. But poor food . Been here before, thought, give it another go, mistake..

Incredible. Arrived early and very obviously a popular place. Had a drink at the bar while me, my partner, her daughter and my parents waited for our table. Great atmosphere and staff all busy yet friendly. Ordered our food after finally all deciding what we wanted from so many lovely sounding dishes. When the food arrived (after the perfect amount of time), they looked awesome….and tasted even better. My mother quickly stated it was the tastiest fish pie she’d ever had! Our mussels were beautiful and the ribs were a massive hit. Loved everything about our visit and can’t rate highly enough. Will definitely be coming back! Well done Jamaica Inn!!!

Great Food and drink with lovely Sea views and friendly staff.

If you want a fantastic meal, go to the Jamaica Inn, Bangor, Northern Island. Sea food dishes amazing, quality ingredients, best Sea food pie I’ve ever tasted. Others in my party had the Muscles (amazing) and the baby ribs again excellent!!!! We were with family and they introduced us to this brilliant restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

We have a motorhome and we phoned ahead to see if we could bring my dog and they said of course. We just called in for a drink and then decided to order food. It was absolutely delicious, this is a hidden gem, hats off to the chef and team. Thank you . We will be back xx

Came in for a late lunch and had perfectly cooked and sauced wings and ribs. Just the right amount of heat on the wings and tender meat on the ribs. So many options on the menu it was hard to decide!

Haven’t been here since I was like 13 and the food is still so outstanding, staff are so friendly and helpful and the vibes are very nice! Went for Mother’s Day and whole family was inlove with the food! I recommend the prawn and chorizo pasta!! :)

Had the mixed grill , it's a good big plate of tasty meat (no gristle or fat) all good quality & chocolate orange pudding for desert very nice

Superb food reasonable price and definitely be back.

No airs and graces here - just delicious unpretentious homemade pub grub. A menu rammed full of choice dishes, hand prepared with care and attention to freshness and flavour. Scampi for us freshly battered served with a wide choice of sides included in the price - even the chicken nuggets ordered on a neighboring table, were freshly made. Parking close by and tables with a sea view available.

Great service, tasty food and fair prices. Good veggie/vegan options. Jackfruit bbq pitta was tasty, served with a good portion of fries and green salad. Friend had the haddock which was also a generous portion.

We had a booking for 17 people for a party. The service and food were excellent. The waitress/waiters could not have been more attentive and were very patient with us. Great night. Live music was at just the right volume as did not interfere with the chat around the table, but was a lovely addition to the evening. Thank you!

Can't find fault here. Over the years Jamaica Inn has consistently delivered excellent service. The staff are pleasant and helpful and although very busy they managed to squeeze us in.

Always great for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. Good atmosphere. Can't wait for the beer garden in the summer

Just called in for a couple of drinks on this occasion but always a good atmosphere. Very busy all week, tables book up quickly........that says it all!

Pleasant place to eat for most age groups.

Had a good lunch here smoked haddock with penne pasta and a lovely creamy sauce service and atmosphere great. Prices good too haddock was on the specials list. Good outdoor sitting area at front it is also covered. However should point out quite a number of steps to navigate to get to the front entrance

Jamaica Inn is my favourite bar for eating, drinking and listening to live music. The music on a Sunday is always worth a look and great way to spend a good few hours having a grand time. What's not to like.

3 of us, all had fish dishes, I had the Ocean Pie, have never had better, told my hubby he has to try. Fish risotto really impressed my sister.

It's one of these places where you can't believe exists....paradise be the sea. The food is incredible.....beer cold Need i say more.... if you have the chance....go for it.

We decided this year for Christmas 🎄 that we would try the Jamaica Inn for takeaway Christmas 🎄 dinner, and we weren't disappointed 😋 When I rang, they were doing 100, so we booked 4 and paid only £17.50 each. We arranged to pick them up Christmas Eve between 9-12, and the staff couldn't have been nicer 😉 We were amazed to see how they were prepared, so professional meat and ham and stuffing in separate dishes separate dishes for vegetables, roast potatoes 🥔 and pigs in blankets oh and don't forget the mash. We also got 4 separate cartons of gravy, which were totally gorgeous 😍 They had a leaflet enclosed with the instructions on temperature 🌡 and settings, so totally idiot free. I couldn't fault anything, but thank them so much for such a fantastic hassle free meal. I'm definitely going to do the same next year, God willing 🙏

Just had one of the best Christmas dinners I have had in a while. Everything cooked to perfection and the taste was superb. This should be on the menu all year round and not just at Christmas.

First Xmas dinner of the festive season and absolutely delicious

Absolutely wonderful dining experience. The wait staff were friendly. The food was delicious and very generous portions (we all had takeaway at the end of the meal). The decor was very tasteful with a mix of traditional and eclectic. We misunderstood the voicemail and didn't book a table, but the host accommodated us in between reservations. Overall, we were extremely pleased to find this beautiful restaurant with amazing views.

Visited late on Friday evening and the atmosphere was great - music playing, but not too noisy, so we were able to chat. Staff were friendly, and it was clean, and warm.

Got a table at a bay window as requested as my wife and I were celebrating our birthdays. I had lamb dinner while my wife had the steak. Both meals were excellent as was the dessert.

Great food. Very busy. Will definitely be back.

Hadn’t been to this place in over 6 months, will be sure not to leave it as long next time- tried so many things on this menu over the years but never tried the burger- I was not disappointed- and garlic chips are always just the way I like them, more garlic than chips

Decided last minute to book and we weren’t disappointed Between the 4 of us we all had different mains…however we started with the nachos which were amazing For the mains we had the Jamaican inn fish pie, chicken pitta, steak and chicken with mash off the specials menu Everyone enjoyed the mains but I reckon the fish pie won!! We would definitely recommend this establishment for the service and the food

Great place for a great lunch by an open fire with a sea view and parking at the door.

Great spot to stop while walking the coastal path , really e joyed the pints of hoegaarden , had a selection of small plates , really tasty and couldnt fault the service , quick and attentive , nice atmosphere.

Staff and atmosphere was nice. Starter was great but the mains were a bit average.

First visit tonight ....food was good, service was great but the whole dining experience spoiled by the number of small flying insects around the restaurant...spent 2 hours swatting them away ...wouldn't visit again .

Highly recommended by friends, but not a memorable visit. Almost too casual, didn’t know if I was speaking to staff or customers! Poor service, very slow, waiting almost an hour between starter and main course, while other parties who arrived after us, had their meals before us. Food was just average, nothing special. Seemed to me to be aimed at locals only. Sorry folks, obviously a bad day in the kitchen, but wouldn’t be in a hurry to go back.

Jamaica Inn is overall the best spot in Bangor. Great views and food is pretty good. Would like to see the menu changed from time to time. Music at weekends from about 9-30, also good.

Decided to take my wife here for dinner after hearing good things about it from colleagues. Happy to say we were not disappointed!

Had beautiful tempura of monkfish in tikka masala sauce. Very tasty.

Great lunch. Lovely view. It never disappoints. Prawns and squid starter are always a favourite. I love the mussels. Enjoy

We both had really good meals. The monkfish was excellent and the ribs were tender tasty and a lot of them.

Vegan food is a bit on the bland side.

Beauty of a spot on the coast. Do yourself a favor and order the large glass of Hoegarden.

Wow! The staff were fantastic. Head waiter very attentive. I have 3 children. One is coeliac, and he ate like a king. No issues afterwards he is extremely sensitive. Lots of choice for gluten-free on the menu staff very informed. My youngest is egg nut dairy allergy. He had the rib eye steak mushrooms and chips. On kids menu he could have anything battered. But he loves his steak. Great views.

There was a significant amount of dog hair in my food. As I was in a group I did not feel compelled to complain. Really disappointed as the service and atmosphere here are always 5/5. Hygiene, however, disappointed.

Called in today with family and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the pitta chicken, my wife had the steak sandwich, daughter had the crispy beef and my son had the chicken goujons. Looked a great spot for a few drinks or to sit outside - we will be back - thank you.

I imagine everyone already knows that this is the best pub/restaurant in Bangor. Great menu, fantastic seafood options. Excellent service and nice sea views for outdoor drinking or dining. If visiting on a weekend, it's definitely worth making a reservation.

Food was lovely but service was so slow, waited almost an hour on the food, floors where so greasy and slippy and the toilets where disgusting, tried to get attention 4 times for more drinks and where ignored

Been here a few times now and ate in the beer garden at the front. Food is very good and the view is lovely. However the heat lamps are shared across two tables so if your neighbours put it on theres nothing you can do about it.

Choose here as you could sit outside on a beautiful day, but was spoilt by the fact that everyone brought their dogs we are not dog lovers, was not impressed with cleanliness as same clothes were used to wipe tables & seats also waiters were patting dogs & handling dog bowls & then our food!! Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. Tried it a few years back and wasn’t impressed but this time around it was really good.

Hate to say this but our meal wasn’t great tonight. We sat outside (which is my favourite part) however the files were unbelievable. A fly repellent candle on each table may be a good idea, especially with food being served. We got a table inside (we were very grateful for). We waited 30/40 mins on starter which arrived with our main meal, when we said no we would like it separate the main meal was taken back and served after starter. Food must’ve been left on a heated shelf as chips and scampi tasted like it was sitting a while. I have now been put off Jamaica inn and It was one of my favourite places unfortunately.

Nice lunch with South African friends, Piet and Estelle. This was to finish off a 10 day holiday, staff friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty.
