We go to the restaurant when ever we can , food is always excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive to all your needs, We have been to many restaurants in the area and jalsa is by far the best and great value, thanks to all the staff Dave and Andy

Always great food and service, and as BYOB makes it a really cost effective night out for such great food. Highly recommend but must book!!

Have eaten curries across the UK and beyond. Visited this restaurant on 2 previous occasions having read reviews but was unable to get a table because they were full. Now I know why. Went last night having booked a few weeks ago in preparedness for our trip to Llandudno. By far the best in the area and frankly one of the best curries I've had. Book in advance ,take your own booze and enjoy. Food fantastic great atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. We will return.

We cannot comment on food. Turned up at 5.45 as says opens at 5. Sadly, they only offer 2 sittings, 6 & and 8pm, so we couldn't offer us anything. Sadly. It's byo and food hygiene rating is only 3, no idea why obviously

Very very good, staying in Conwy for the night and love a good curry, Jalsa didnt disappoint. Make sure you book. Must say that when you find a Indian restaurant that you like everything you is judged by that. I would consider moving homes to be near this one. Food very good, attentive service and fair pricing. Will 100% be back. You can being your own alcohol, they dont serve alcoholic drinks, soft and water only. There is a Coop around the corner so drop in there first. We had meat based dishes, no oil residue floating on the top, very flavoursome. Portion are great, far too much for us to eat so did the usual "can we take this home" - we have. Keema nan to die for. Enjoy..

Really tasty curry, we love to visit a curry house wherever we go and this one did not disappoint. Great quality chicken dishes, well spiced sauces and a great peshwari naan too! If this was near where we lived, we’d be in all of the time but thanks for a great meal!

Had a takeaway and it was brilliant, I had the gohst pata and the mutton melted in my mouth, my husband had the conwy tawa cocktail, both amazing, the mutton was so good my husband wished he’d had the same, definitely worth a visit.

First time visit, had to book earlier than planned as was fully booked. After visiting we can understand why, food & service were great. BYOB was not a problem for them, can’t wait to return.

Had a take away, korma, Tikka and usual bits, have to say I was gutted with the food, all the reviews are 4 and 5, the chicken was so overcooked even in the sauce it was dry nd tasteless…. I really hope this is a one off as it was highly recommended to me, that said, for a Saturday night there was only 4 people in restaurant

Parking is scarce but there are plenty of choices on the menu, I have done a collection and had to wait 45 mins as they are busy but friendly lads. Good experience and good taste 👍🙏

Only a small restaurant, but a good service. The BYOB means you have to be a bit prepared, but the staff are happy to open bottles for you and there are soft drinks available to buy on the menu. There is a good selection of typical dishes on the menu, and our party of seven tried a lot of them. Everyone came away with very satisfied stomachs. Doggy bags no problem either. Very good.

Popped in with no booking. Recommend you book if you wish to visit. But luckily when we popped in there was a table available. Food was amazing and so tasty. And the service was fast and efficient.

We have discovered a gem here and been 3 times since our first visit to Conwy in February this year. Twice we have travelled by bus from Llandudno, we like it that much. We will be back staying in Conwy in June and of course we will book again. You need to book early as tables are always full. We are creatures of habit and always have more or less the same dishes. Popadoms and an excellent pickle tray followed by Chicken tikka starters that come out sizzling and then hot and tasty lamb Madras. Always plan to try a different curry as everything that comes out of the kitchen looks amazing. We like the relaxed feel of this small Restaurant and staff are always super efficient and nice. The takeaway side is always busy a sign of how great this Restaurant is. Thanks for another great evening at the Jalsa.

Called in and was lucky enough to get a table booked, gets busy and a really nice atmosphere. Staff are great, food is so so tasty....we ordered far too much...! Portions are very generous.. if you are in Conwy be sure to pop in, you will be glad you did..

Distinctly average curry - it wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t awful either - just middle of the road. I had a chicken tikka jalfrezi and my wife had a lamb tikka rogan Josh - first of all you do get a lot of meat which is refreshing. This is the first thing that most restaurants will reduce to keep costs down and maximise profits. My wife’s lamb tikka wasn’t lamb - it was mutton as it was tough and not tender as you’d expect lamb to be. Both dishes lacked in flavour and seasoning. I’ve had much better takeaway curries and was expecting good things based on all the reviews. Pretty sure I won’t be returning.

This tiny restaurant is welcoming and smells delicious as you go in. We had a starter and main with poppadoms and sauces. The food was really good, the staff smiley and friendly and the prices very reasonable. BYOB is a bonus. In all the only small comment I can make is that the naan and chappatis were not as soft and fluffy as I would have liked. Definitely would recommend..

Loved our second visit to the relaxing Jalsa in beautiful Conwy. We had visited during our stay in Conwy in February but this time we travelled via bus from Llandudno which was straightforward and went to plan. We couldn’t bring ourselves to try the Indian Restaurants in Llandudno and risk disappointment. Standards were as high as on our first visit and we really like this intimate small Restaurant, staff are really friendly and service is attentive, food served hot and so delicious with good portions. The decor is nice, toilet clean and on the same level as the Restaurant so another plus, highly recommended. We booked the 6pm sitting the other alternative is 8pm. All the tables were full and from our table I could see part of the busy kitchen as we sat there last time. They are also a busy takeaway but this doesn’t impact on the Restaurant. Bring your own drinks - they have no license but do have soft drinks.Plenty of ice available and glasses for your drinks. Like the hot wipes they bring out at the end of your meal and chocolates. We are already booked at the Jalsa for our trip in May to Llandudno and yes booking early is key here. Thank you for another lovely experience, I think we might be hooked 😃

Great food great service best Indian restaurant and takeout in the area. Tonight’s visit 6 of us ordered starters and mains what can I say we have dined in many Indian restaurants all over the country and some of them in main Indian areas and the jasala rates in the top 5, the dishes never disappoint always delicious, if you want to eat in I recommend you book, if you dine in or takeaway you will not be disappointed, I cannot recommend Jalsa enough

We have always enjoyed our meals from Jalsa but sadly our last two takeout meals have been disappointing. We had poppadoms & chutney which were fine. The starters of Onion Bhajis & Prawn Puri were very nice & tasty however our main meal of Butter Chicken was very disappointing- tasteless & bland & our Peshwari nan bread was soggy & unappetising. Sadly this was the 2nd time this has been the case so we will have to look for another Indian takeaway in the hope that their food will be a better experience.

Had some tandoori & Oriental chicken, with aubergine and rice veggies. No alcohol licence but you can bring your own booze. Free parking in the street, close to the castle. Food was tasty and good service only a few table, lots of takeaway.

Most of the dishes we ordered were great. Although I prefer spicier Indian food, everything was mild enough for my kids. No liquor license, so bring your bottle if you want to have a glass of wine.

You really do need to book in this small restaurant and be prepared to change your plans for another night. Like everyone says don't let the outside put you off the inside pleasant and doesn't have tables rammed together. We're used to good Indian as we live in Bradford, but these were the best curries we've ever had - not too spicy or too mild and very flavoursome. There were big meat pieces and the Oriental Spices chicken had tasty mango pulp and pineapple chunks.

This place has friendly service. It was inexpensive too. Perhaps it was because they do not serve alcohol although you can BYO.
