Jade Garden in Leeds

The best Chinese around - tried lots of places whilst it’s been closed and nothing compares ! When are you re opening?! The food is amazing! No one can do the the hot and sour soup, and salt and pepper spare ribs wings atall the same way! Along with the rest of the food.

Food was cold. Phoned about it and was told it wasn't as it had been made and sent straight away

So this is the frist time we have used jade Gardens and I have to say I read the reviews did not look gd for them but trough I would still give them a go and come hot driver polite food very nice as well

Wow just wow. Trust me if I wrote a positive review then you know it’s good. Chicken balls super freshly cooled chicken juicy on the inside. All the dishes with prawns were amazing. Fresh fresh fresh. The duck was off the scale. Had duck from takeaways before which when delivered was like over cooked cardboard. This again was cooked to perfection. Crispy skin amd the meat moist. I called them to send praise to the kitchen. Would I recommend hell yeah !!!! Take a bow guys 10/10 from me x

Good food but the timing is letting it down nearly 2 hours for a delivery

Used to be good. However.... currently waiting 2.5 hours for 3 items. Best awaited slop in town. 😒

2:30 mins waiting for delivery, 2 phone calls during the time, saying its next door, till finally cancelled the order

Food is amazing along with taste and portion size. Highly recommend. Sadly it is in desperate need of a interior face-lift. As a regular customer for over 15 years its decor hasnt changed or even had a freshen up. Looking very tired indeed..

You should seriously be ashamed. In the current climate a Chinese is a treat so to pay nearly £30 for a meal that gets delivered 3 hours late and clap cold is embarrassing to say the least. I remember now why we stopped using Jade Garden a few years back… same reason, like to get the money just not keen on delivering the food. Seriously think twice about being ripped off

Rude telephone staff that don't respect your money, I don't buy from there anymore.

Ordered through one of those website things that are so impersonal and don't really inspire, we'd never used a local Chinese before but picked this one because we knew where it was so knew it was probably a 'real' kitchen. The food exceeded my expectations, the food was very tasty, each dish had distinct flavours which isn't always so with Chinese, and unlike many takeaways the dishes were NOT stuffed full of onion to hide the fact there's very little meat. We had a set menu as it was a very good deal and the soup portions were extremely generous.

The most delicious Chinese food I have ever tried. Can see that food was freshly cooked.

The food is beautiful you can tell it is cooked from fresh. I would definitely recommend the wan ton soup. The only problem is it can be a long wait (1hr 45min) especially on Friday and Saturday night but that's because the food is so good

Mostly love the food here, but had chow mein last week that was really overcooked. Wouldnt put me off going back though, these things happen sometimes.

To me it's not just about the food but the experience of purchasing as well. There is good parking to go and pickup or you can use one of the popular delivery organisations. I found the staff so helpful in choosing my meal and having small tweaks to customise our preferences. Which they did so willingly. Due to the busy period i was told it would be 20 min. I was asked to wait outside or in car because of the covid restriction, which I was happy to do so. After 15 minutes the staff member came out of the shop searching the cars parked around the takeaway looking for me. I found this to be most excellent. Instead of allowing to food to sit around they came a looking which I found pleasing. The food was brilliant to. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The food here is amazing, its tasty, fresh, good price and great options and menu The delivery drivers however deem it appropriate to try and deliver your food to a locked back yard gate. Rather than walking 7 metres approx to the actual door to the property my food was left in the street in front of my back gate No attempt was made to alert me to the attempted delivery despite providing my phone number, I received an email to state my food would have a 40 minute delay, order time being 17:58, email confirmation stated food would arrive at 19:20. I waited until 19:40 to give them more time, on calling the shop and providing my address they stated no order received, I offered the order number to which he asked for my address again and responded with it had been delivered over an hour ago, after some discussion he eventually called the driver who advised it was outside the door. I confirmed I had checked and no order was there, I happened to look down the alley from my front garden to see my food waiting on the street at my back gate Below is a picture of my food 'delivered' and the second picture is from my front garden to the back gate, unsure why the delivery guy couldn't walk that little bit further

i ordered tihis meal tonight, i rang the restaurant itself and spoke with i think his secretary i asked to speak with the boss but, she replied his english was very poor and that she would have to translate my order to him and my enquiry as to why the meal was such a disaster. She then informed me to got to Just Eats App and explain what the problem was and that i would be offered a full refund. The Quiry was the Rice was so hard to digest i felt as though i was eating rubber. Even the egg was hard like a nut. The Prawn Crackers were as greasy as anything not much crunch to them. I therefore am requesting a full refund for my meal as it was a disater and not fit to feed an animal..

Have ordered from here before and it's been nice but really disappointed this time. Such a waste of £24! chicken balls were tiny and dry, skewers were tasteless and greasy, chicken curry was bland and they didn't pack the prawn crackers that we paid for! Only okay part was chips and fried rice. Would never order again. We left over half of it. It was only 'on time' because they changed the delivery time to 22.20 (ordered it at 21.02!). We went to cancel but we're told we would have to pay 50% as they had started to prepare it which at 21.20 is hard to believe. Sorry for harsh review but it was terrible!

The chicken chow main was lovely will definitely order again and the mix starter was well filling can not wait to order from here again lovely service.

Food was OK, but the portion of spring rolls for the price is a joke, two little things for £3:20, we normally get at least four big ones for that price,four of us had half each lol, won't order again.

I regularly buy from here, but for the first time the food was inedible. The food tasted like it had some sort of cleaning agent in it, like washing up liquid (I don’t know) but as a result the food was binned.

The Driver called my sister to say my delivery was ready outside. I had to go out side in the rain? I live it flat 3rd flood normally the delivery men come to my door. It’s very rare they don’t.....

I ordered at about 6.30pm and was informed that the estimated time for delivery was 19.40, which was disappointing as I was hungry! So I was delighted when the food arrived at 18.45! Thank you Jade Garden.

Excellent! Ordered the mixed starter, chicken with cashew, crispy beef, special fried rice, crispy prawns, salt and pepper chips and Singapore noodles. Loved every mouthful and very pleased with what we ordered. Large portions, cooked fresh and arrived on time. Plenty for leftovers. Will order again 👍🏽

Really easy to order, quick delivery & really enjoyed the food.

Sadly they were an hour and a quarter over the initial hour estimated from ordering time. Crab soup is that pink fish strip stuff and tasteless but duck nice, beef in oyster ok. Food needed reheating - they’ve been better before though 🤔

It took 2 hrs for delivery and when it came the chicken was grey and full of gristle they did replace it but was still the same, wont be ordering again

Food not bad but delivery can take up to 2.5hrs from making order. Think its time to try elsewhere

Hands down the best Chinese food in leeds, we have tried a few different places but non are as nice and consistently nice as jade garden. Wouldn't get Chinese from anywhere else.

I ordered deep fried sweet and sour king prawns. The sauce did not seem authentic and appeared to be from a jar. There were not enough vegetables in the sauce and no pineapples. The sauce was watery. The prawns were not crispy. It’s my first tome ordering from this restaurant and it left a lot to be desired. The food was also delivered late.

Waited 3 hours for the food to arrive, ordered duck and pancakes and the duck had totally dried out, tasted like it had been waiting in the box way too long

Food arrived 3 hours after ordering, when it finally arrived the food wasn't very warm and not edible, the rice was undercooked and the chicken was over cooked and the curry was flavourless. My i add when the food had come most of my children where tired and past it.

Had an issue with spilt food so sent back and restaurant kindly sorted a fresh order delivered back to me again so hence a delay on timing. Food is beautiful very tasty and highly recommend. Restaurant did all they could to rectify and can’t wait to go sit in once we are back to normal somewhat :-)

Decent food at a reasonable price. Ordered crispy wan ton assuming it would be veggie but was prawn, so could do with a little more detail on the menu. Otherwise tasty and hot.

Under New management from last weekend so be interested to see what happens.

Amazing salt and pepper chicken and chips

We were missing our curry on the order. We called the restaurant and they said it has been packed as checked with the chef and the packer. She said the delivery guy would call me and redeliver. After 30 mins nothing came and all the other food was cold so I called the restaurant again who said they had attempted to call and the food was delivered.. which is wasn't ! I found the staff very rude and refused to put through to any boss or manager. The customer service shocking. We had half a COLD Chinese meal. We were disappointed and it ruined our night in!

Im fussy about chinese and ive eaten from most in north leeds area , nobody usually makes me think WOW thats nice, well these are the exception, Chicken and sweetcorn soup "Best ive ever had", beef curry "Best ive ever had", prawn toast and special fried rice "best we have had" i will definitely, definitely be re ordering **********

By far the best Chinese takeaway in Leeds. The hot and sour soup doesn't have the chillies in it like other places which means I was able to enjoy it and I didn't have to fish them out. The crispy aromatic duck is tasty as well, the duck was a little dry but you wouldn't notice when everything was put together in the pancake. I love the fresh sweet and sour chicken as it's as as close to being authentic as you could find in Leeds. It's the second time I have ordered from here and I will order again in the future.

Whilst I appreciate takeaways might be busier at this time, but to wait 3 hours and still no delivery is a joke even after phoning them 90 minutes after the order was placed. If you can't deliver don't take orders. Its 9pm and my husband is a key worker and up at 5 and he's not eaten.

I ordered my food at 8:30pm estimated delivery time was 10pm and it arrived at 9:30 the food was very nice I got a call from the Chinese saying something I'd ordered was out of stock the guy on the phone was very polite and amended my order correctly I will be coming here again

Food very late and very cold! Rang restaurant was told lots of orders! Surely don’t be greedy and take so many orders then.....

We ordered at 5 and was given the expected delivery time of 6:20 to which the food was actually delivered at 6:30. Obviously it is expected during a lockdown and more people ordering. The delivery man was lovely as was the gentleman who answered the phone when I called to check on the food. The food was good quality and tasted lovely with good portion sizes. I will be ordering again. Thank you.

I think £11.20 is a little expensive for why it is, but I enjoyed eating the meal.

Excellent meal from Jade Garden last night - hadn’t tried it before but there was a few of us so we all ordered different dishes and each one was great. Particularly recommend the hot and sour soup. Food wasn’t oily and was full of flavour. For such a busy evening, they delivered earlier than expected too. Definitely ordering again.

Prefer other Chinese takeaways in the area. Not awful, just ‘ok’

When ordering, the estimated time was 35-50 mins. When the order was processed, the delivery time was then given as 1h 5 mins. It then turned up 10mins after that.
