Jabir Indian in Chichester

Lovely food tonight, chicken was tender and tasty all sauces nice and thick.I would recommend the Jabir and its much cheaper than the alternative Indian in Selsey, especially if you collect it. Definitely worth a try, you might be surprised, we were.

Have tried several times, most recent take away looked terrible when opened, on arriving home 5 minutes after collecting. We were tempted to take it straight back as it looked horrible. We've had so many good curries over the last 50+ years, but this place is dire. Doesn't deserve customers.

Decent price, good value and tasty curry. Only reason for not giving a 5 is that part of the order was missed, but replaced when collected.

This was my 5th take away meal from the Jabir. The first time was 10 minutes after the grand opening, a couple of years ago. The meal was very poor, but I gave them the benefit of being newly opened. I gave then about 6 months, then tried again, but again had a poor meal. I do have friends who say they always get a good meal at the Jabir. I'm not over fussy, but can't figure out why I always get a bad meal there.This time I had a tandoori mixed grill. The main chicken leg was OK,but the rest of the meal was poor quality. The meat portion sizes were tiny. The Sheek kebab was so thin, it couldn't have been thinner! This even extended to the extremely tiny slice of lemon, it could not have been sliced thinner. I can't see the point of saving money by thinly slicing lemon.I've tried 5 times now, it's enough I think, so I won't be returning.

We had a superb takeaway last night, we haven't had a takeaway in a while but are so pleased that we chose to have one from you again. We had a chicken bhuna, chicken madras, mushroom rice and 4 poppadums. It was all excellent. Piping hot on arrival, chicken was lovely and tender, not dry. Amazing! Thank you.

Went to get a take away on NewYears Eve . Probably the worst Indian take away experience I’ve ever had . Wrong order , looked disgusting , when I returned no apology , so I got my money refunded . Wasted journey , stick to the Magna in the High Street for outstanding quality ...

So disappointed with the meal we ordered from here tonight!Both curries cold, chips were stale, cold and hard30 mins late and had to wait a further 10 mins for chips to be replaced. They refused to refund. Luckily justeat were able to help us and have us a £15 voucher for compensation.Will not be going here again!!

Well where can I start...oh yeah here we go First of all the curry it's self I had the makhani chefs special 4 bits of chicken tikka in a thick gravy sauce with chillies and must of been a whole onion = stingy and tastless at £7.95 The 2 portions of onion bhaji came with 1 tiny salad and NO Mint sauce and were disgusting..like the ones you get in a supermarket The rice was ok nothing special bit like uncle bens microwave ones you get but in a silver tray ...whooopie The keema nan was tiny with hardly any keema meat My brother had a bhuna that was also tasteless his wife had a biryani with a Korma sauce which in fact the Korma sauce was nicest part of the meal Ordered 4 poppadums got 5 so thank you for your genorosity jabur but would rather you improve on food quality and remember a mint sauce when we spend £36 !! All in all and take this from a bloke who loves a curry and had plenty all over the country This was the worst I've ever had won't be going back ...better off going new magna in high st .They can be rude but at least curry is nice Jabur your curry is woeful and Asda do better ones so I will save my money in future Won't be back ....because jabur is crap

I’ve had a takeaway from here before and thought it was nice but after what I have just eat, I will not be going back again.Bombay potato absolutely full of onions, chicken tikka madras was over over hot and just tasted like I was eating pepper. I’ve been eating curries for over 30 years so I know what a good curry tastes like. Waste of £12.

Stopped here just as the shop was opening,wasn't planning on having indian but decided to try it,service will have to say was very good,but quality of food was very poor..chicken tikka looked and tasted awful,onion bhaji were burnt,will not return.

Both food and service was excellent ,been going there since it opened and have never had a bad meal.

Me and my family often come here, always brilliant service and great food. They cater for large orders too and even offer discount.

Couldn’t fault the place. after a long day shopping in Portsmouth, we get back needing some food and chill out time. Ordered the curry as told will be ready in 30 minutes. Cost just £37 for 4 of us. I arrived and the food was ready for me, which I normally fin a bit worrying as means it has had time to cool down. It was only about 25 mins at this point after the phone call.Got back home and started dishing everything up. The food was still hot, not piping hot you couldn’t eat it at all but slightly hot which meant a small blow helped before eating. The portion sizes are great and you get plenty to eat.I would order from here again and for the prices is a great place to go.

Myself and my husband were seriously unwell with salmonella food poisoning, following a takeaway from here. We contacted the environmental health and they said this was not the first complaint they’d received. Still lost 5lbs!

Whilst staying at Bunn leisure we need food for 12 Children and 10 Adults, we ordered a mix of dishes, however, the best thing was the chicken tikka naan, all the kids loved it ! I really recommend you try this.

The answer for our family was a resounding 'Yes!'

Just ordered food from here was very disappointed been told it was very good but we had a bad food didn't get the sauce we asked for and couldn't find are added will not be ordering again

when ordering a take away sometimes items are missing and its very annoying when you either rush back to get the missing dish or wait while its delivered; more care should be taken by the staff.

In selsey on a visit, we saw this place had good rating on just Eat but I'm starting to think lots of these reviews are made up. The curry was bland and only filled up half a tray as had this delivered. Nan bread was tougher than mike Tyson. Mint sauce was a very sugery watery yellow dip. I really find it hard to find nice food in Selsey.

One of the best Indian take aways that I have found. All food is cooked to order and it is lovely. The discount for cash is a bonus and the delivery service is second to none.

Had quite a few meals from this takeaway and can honestly say we have enjoyed every single one. The food is consistently good and the staff are always friendly and helpful. There is a good variety of dishes on the menu at reasonable prices and their other discounts make them exceptional value for money. Easy parking outside and home delivery locally. Highly recommended.

I am really fussy with my Indian takeaways but Jabir never let me down. The food is always perfect and the value for money is excellent. Staff are always friendly and provide a fantastic service!!

Had several takeaways from here and have all been excellent. Food delivered lovely and hot and by friendly driver. Highly recommend. This is the only Indian takeaway we use now.
