Wow!!! Just wow this place is amazing our first visit tonight and everything was perfect we got the fishcakes and dumplings starter they were incredible and could not believe how cheap they were homemade amazing quality and the size was very generous 😋 the mains came and they were perfect again you can tell it was all fresh could not fault we will 100% return. The atmosphere was so nice they staff were absolutely lovely could not fault anything can not wait to go back. Amazing hidden gem 💎

We were a regular customer, but not more, as if today. Pre-ordered a delivery online. They phoned to confirm the order and directions. The driver called and needed further directions. But then it went silent. Called the restaurant for an update - order cancelled as unable to find us. A regular customer lost.

Called the restaurant 10 minutes later and because they could not find us, they cancelled it and did not inform us. Poor service and would not use again. To be fair, overpriced and small quantities anyway.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Been a customer paying around £50 a week for take aways, however, today our meal wasn't delivered. Pre-ordered and driver could not locate us. We chased repeatedly on the phone to be met with a bad attitude and how difficult we are to find. The food was taken back to the restaurant (I'd imagine to be recycled to another customer). Lost a regular customer as we will never order there again.

Have not been here for years but just fancied a mid week Thai meal..................it was excellent .Food and service first class,we will return

Food is really nice all piping hot , and plenty of traditional choice.Could not fault the staff and it’s reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite small and cosy , it was very quiet the night we went not sure if that’s normal but we would definitely try it again.

I am very reluctant in writing this review as being a seasoned Thai foody to let others know of how fantastic this gem of a restaurant is, as l want to keep it to myself lest l couldn’t ever get a booking again, due to its popularity. We were greeted like VIPs. Service was of a high standard. The choice of menu was exceptional and as good as any top Thai restaurant anywhere including Thailand. But oh the food! My rating would be a Michelin Star with out any reservation.

Excellent restruant for authentic Thai food

Having booked online via their own website we arrived to find the place closed. On ringing the bell we were told in no uncertain terms that they do not take bookings on a Sunday lunchtime and are shut. Then I was informed that I hadn't booked it through their website, screenshot was shown, no attempt at an apology or politeness. Also as we were leaving another couple turned up with exactly the same issue, booked online. We took our money elsewhere. I believe it is a simple task to ensure that your business webpage and links are a correct reflection of your opening hours. No excuse.

Great food with very friendly staff. We booked the restaurant for our daughters birthday due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our earlier booking but things changed and we managed to book a table for dinner instead, this was managed with no fuss. We have been before and the food is as good as it was on our other visit.

Myself and my wife took our Grand Daughter here because she loves Thai food. we booked a table for 6.30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was no more than half full. We placed our orders for food and drinks. ....and waited...and waited, during this time a steady flow of take away customers were coming and going, along with the restaurants 2 delivery drivers. An hour later, no food ! I went up the the bar to ask where our order was and why were take aways being prioritised over sitting customers...the young lady very abruptly told me we were going to be served soon. The people on the next table (who had 3 small children with them), then complained, it transpired they had been there 30 minutes before us ! During this, a man came in to collect a take away order, I asked him what time he phoned the order through and he told me it was 7pm...he got served before ourselves and placed the order 30 minutes after we sat down !! Eventually we did get our food...it was slammed down by a very rude young lady. The service and attitude we endured was nothing less than an absolute disgrace, this place needs to decide if its a restaurant or a take away....We will NEVER go there again....if people are planning on going to go to this place, my suggestion would be to order a take away before hand and eat it when you get there ! ...an utter shambles !

We have visited three times now, last evening (07/10/23) being our latest visit. Food again was amazing. The staff were busy and there were a lot of people coming in for takeaway orders and this did slow things down a bit but you have to remember it is a small restaurant and anyone who things they could survive on 11 tables alone would be mad which is why it was frustrating to see two separate groups being overly vocal over the service. Politeness costs nothing and these people were loud and rude. One of the groups I think were under the impression that it was a Whacky Warehouse with their kids wandering around dropping wax crayons on the floor for people to dodge whilst they drank copious amounts of wine. The other group were quieter but their daughter had incessant cough and not covering her mouth whilst coughing loudly. Both these groups complained that they were not being seen to fast enough but the staff were doing their best. They both vowed never to return , RESULT! The food is some of the best Thai food we have ever had, previous visits have both been without the slightest of delays so can only assume it was very busy on phone orders. If you want a business to survive so you can keep on enjoying it then have a little patience, have an extra bowl of Thai crackers for gods sake. Amazing little place, great staff and beautiful Thai food. We had a lovely meal and we tipped over and above last night to show our support for the servers.

Please try this place if you like Thai food! It's the best Thai we've had outside of Bangkok. We ate in - great for my wife who is gluten free. Pad kaprow was amazing. Service was great. Family ran I think. Very reasonable price wise too. Please support this amazing place!

My husband and I have been meaning to try this place for ages after driving past. Well we finally got the chance tonight and have to say the food was fantastic. The staff were great and really attentive. We will be telling all our friends and be back very soon. Only downside is their delivery service doesn’t quite reach our village!

Wow. Just wow. We are from Singapore, where we get some of the best Thai food. Yet, we were bowled over by the excellent quality of Itsy Bitsy's Thai fare in Southport, UK. From the Tom Yam soup to the Prawn massaman, everything was absolutely delicious, flavored with the most aromatic Thai herbs and spices, and actually had a chilli kick that satisfied! What a blissful discovery in this tiny town up in North England. So grateful to the restaurant owners and staff for their effort behind the scenes, and for delighting our tastebuds!!

The service leaves a lot to be desired, I’m not kidding you that it took 25 minutes to get my order taken ……… in an empty restaurant! Once ordered, the food came quite quickly and it was very tasty! The Pad Thai main was good but the “Piggy Bang” starter was absolutely class ……. although the staff forgot to bring any utensils so I had to eat it ‘au natural’

Had a meal at Itsy Bitsy back in March and it was superb. Was back in Southport week ago and booked..then saw 2 negative reviews..well went anyway and our meal was fabulous..arguably the best Thai meal we have had in the UK.. summer rolls, mussaman and and belly pork were brill...can't recommend highly enough.

Finally decided to try a takeaway and unfortunately we weren’t overly impressed. The food was barely hot (after a 5 minute drive home), which wasn’t a great start. Small portions, poor amount of chicken in the curry, and even less prawns in the hot soup. Very disappointing and won’t be returning.

Itsy bitsy was always one of our favourite restaurants so when we had family staying over at Easter we were looking forward to a takeaway. Unfortunately it was a disaster, On collection of our meal we discovered the restaurant changed hands 3 days ago and so had all new staff. The starters were terrible and the mains not much better. My daughter in law ordered the crispy noodle curry on my recommendation, when it arrived there were no crispy noodles so my partner drove back ( we live nearby) to be told they had no crispy noodles. They then gave us extra sticky rice instead which doesn't go with noodle curry! Why not mention when we ordered that dish that half of the ingredients weren't available? My partners Pad Thai which is his favourite also went in the bin. The amount of meat and prawns in the dishes was also halved to what we were used to. We used to eat at Itsy Bitsy once a week and have done so since before lockdown, sadly we won't be eating here again

Amazing Thai food, we are lucky to have restaurants like this in Southport. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Very family friendly, I will definitely be returning 😄

Staff here very careful despite kids having nut allergy. Parking was limited but you can park in fron of the restaurant if there is a spot. Food was good

Lovely! 2 starters and 1 main course for 15.99 was a bargain. Starters were delicious and well presented. I had the crispy noodle curry for mains which was also delicious! Disappointing first visit to the restaurant! Heard lots of good things so decided to give it a try! Booked for 7pm and arrives on time! Table was ready so we sat and ordered a drink and looked at the menu! Place was near to capacity! Big party of around 15 people which should have made the alarm bells ring! Prawn crackers were brought after we'd ordered our starters! Starters arrived about 7.45 then more prawn crackers! We were told that the mains would be delayed as the big party would need to be served! We were kept updated but when it got to 8.30pm and we were told the mains would be another half an hour we paid for what we had and left! The front of house staff were lovely but there was clearly a problem in the kitchen! Such a shame as was looking forward to it! May give it another go but it'll be a while!

Anyone round the local area this is a must visit. Amazing food and at the weekend if you’re feeling hungry they do an eat all you can from 12-4 which is good to sample more of the menu. Excellent takeaway service also.

The gentleman who delivered our food was polite and it arrived in good time. However the food we ordered wasn't very good. The noodles were overly sweet and the meat not seasoned well at all. I was really disappointed as the reviews on this restaurant were excellent. I won't be ordering from there again.

Absolutely delicious Thai food, looking forward to my next visit.

We visited Itsy Bitsy Thai last night (30.10.2021), it was our second time and honestly, we cannot recommend this place enough. It's perfect. I had roasted honey duck as a starter and it was even better than the first time I had it. Absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had vegetable gyoza that were also very nice, but after having the duck we both agreed that mine was absolutely the winner. We both had gang massamun as main, both with duck. I had mine with jasmine Thai rice, he had sticky rice instead. Gorgeous. We could not find a single complaint. Even though we were extremely full, we decided to be adventurous and had dessert. Coconut crepes with ice cream and fresh fruit, very unique and very nice. So, do yourselves a favour and have a great meal here! I would also like to thank the staff. They are the kindest, friendliest and loveliest people. I saw them chatting to so many customers that I am sure were regulars. You can tell they love what they do. We can't wait to be back very soon.
