Had a takeaway last Saturday evening. It was exceptional hot fresh & plenty of it. Maybe we ordered too much hence the price but really good. Thank you Istanbul Grill.

Early saturday evening .we came here .food as always very good .not rushed .tried the greek salad .black olives were not good .should have put nice green olives in salad.friend had the lamb ribs she realy enjoyed them.chicken and lamb kebabs we had .

Price has increased by just under 50% since Christmas, although website still shows old prices. Ordered takeaway by browsing website and price shown as £34.95. Attended to collect and pay and told its £49.95. I appreciate costs have increased (although this seems steep) but the fact they haven’t bothered updating their own website is very bad practice for a business. I won’t be using this place again which is a shame as the food is generally good.

We had the lamb and chicken kebab .salad and rice .cicken kebab and salad.also bread and dips .coke and coffee. We went lunch time .service was good .not rushed at all..chicken and lamb cooked good.prices are good.we will be back.

Me and my family came here for my birthday meal and I couldn’t be happier. We were all so happy with the food and drinks. The service was exceptional! The chef even come out and wished me a happy birthday. It was amazing I can’t fault a thing ! The stuff played with the kids and didn’t make me feel awkward when they run off to play. I will definitely be back with the whole family. Might even be our regular spot from now on with the reasonable prices aswell !

We had off lunch menu and main menu. Both realy good keltico off main and rice and salad very nice. Chicken shish salad lots of flavours. Starters were good.service good.we ate at 4pm friday afternoon. Will come back and try diffrent items on main menu.

Lovely little authentic restaurant. Great atmosphere and nicely decorated inside. Lady serving us was great - nothing was too much trouble and she was eager to make our evening as enjoyable as she could. Food was lovely, warm bread to start was amazing.

We had a lovely evening with our family on Saturday evening, no complaints with the service and food, I must say that the portions are big, be hungry when visiting. We was a party of 9 and everyone commented how nice it was. Can't wait to return.

Went here on Thursday for family birthday meal and it was exceptional, the service was excellent and so much care was taken for us all to have a wonderful time . Food portions are huge and tasted amazing . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the atmosphere and decor are very welcoming . We will definitely be back and would highly recommend .

Visited for a birthday meal and arrived at 7:15. It's now 9:05 and the main course still has not arrived. No word from the staff with regards to delay. Other tables arrived after us and they have been served. When asked about the delay was told it was coming. Still not here. Very very disappointed. Ok food just arrived at 9:10. Food ok but the quality of the chicken was not fantastic on one of the dishes and the sauce on another was very watery. I made an observation whilst waiting that lots of food deliveries were being made which I suspect was the cause of the delay.

Six of us had dinner here on a Saturday night after reading all the positive reviews.It was absolutely heaving in there, I don’t think another chair could have been squeezed in with a crowbar.Perhaps this had an effect on our experience.The Waiter that took our order was friendly enough but food was delivered to the table in a very perfunctory manner.I don’t think any of our group were particularly impressed with the food ,though it’s fair to say there wasn’t anything really wrong, it was just average at best.If the ambience and service had been really good we might have been tempted back, but as it is they won’t be seeing me again.

I go there with my family on special events such as birthdays and also a get together. We as a family find it the best owing to the food, service, friendliness and surroundings. Would not go anywhere else.

We travel to Turkey a lot and enjoy the cuisine. The mixed grill and hummus were good, but the shaksuka disappointing. Friendly service.I appreciate that we probably have rules and regulations but it was a shame that the lokum served with the coffee was wrapped.

Eating here was an impromptu thing whilst visiting family, but a good decision. I use a powered wheelchair and the owners had fitted a small ramp to overcome the problem of a steep step, simple but effective and a lesson to other establishments who can't be bothered. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the two small messy grandchildren and the food was well prepared and great to eat. A big thank you for an enjoyable visit.

We visited for the first time after reading the reviews. We wanted to eat Turkish food with our son who was visiting. We were not disappointed. Salad dips and bread brought to the table straight away. Our food was delicious and plenty of it. The restaurant was understandably very busy but service was efficient and friendly. It definitely will not be our last visit.

First time attending Istanbul Grill and I was not disappointed. The food was good and our waitress including the manager were both so friendly and welcoming. My only suggestion would be that they make Turkish tea/coffee a complimentary drink at the end of the meal.

We have just got back from an amazing time at the Istanbul Grill. We were first served a fresh Turkish Salad and Flatbreads with Haydari & Harissa sauces. We then went for the House Special for 4 with so much meat, rice and vegetables that we could not finish it. All washed down with a nice bottle of white wine (included in the price of the main meal). A complementary Birthday Dessert Plate and Turkish Coffees completed a fantastic meal. Total cost was £93.00 for 5 people (including extra drinks). As if this wasn't enough Sebastian was the perfect host and made my Mother's 70th Birthday Meal a very special one. Thank you, you will definitely be seeing us again soon!!

Six of us had the set lunch at £7.95 for two courses. I had cheese in filo followed by lamb shish served with rice, salad and dips. Amazing value and excellent service by the waiters.

The food is very good. The mixed platter is very good value for money, the meat was cooked to perfection. The only downside is that it can be quite noisy and busy. Seems to.be very popular for large groups celebrating birthdays. Therefore try to book before rocking up there especially at the weekend.

Just ordered 3x meals for home delivery. The food arrived cold despite only living in the next street to the restaurant. My daughters meat appeared off so she refused to eat it. My lamb was under cooked. A disappointment and horrible end to a lovely afternoon. I’d never go there again or order takeaway food. Total rip off!!

This is by far the best Turkish restaurant in the area. The bread is lovely and the service is great. We will certainly be returning here and we now wont use any other turkish restaurant. Staff are very welcoming and helpful and will advise on best dishes. Lovely for my family gathering too.

Had a call from the driver calling me darling in a creepy voice. Wasnt even outside my address. Food arrived early and cold!!! Was so bland. Really disappointed. Place has gone downhill. To top things off I am sick in my stomach today! I live 0.1m away from the restaurant so I do not understand how it arrived cold! Last time I went it wasn't that good in the restaurant but decided to give another chance. But no way. Not again. Lost me for life now!

Sat evening, raining, cold. Staff at the restaurant were very welcoming especially the manager. Free starter was delicious and so were the lamb ribs. However the lamb shish was over cooked - dry and hard to chew. Did mention this twice when asked by the waitress and waiter: how’s everything? Answer was: I’m really sorry about this and we usually cook it to a medium well done. What a shame.

Started off well with shared starters - loved filo and feta parcels, salads and haloumi! Mains less so - shish kebabs dry and no dips. Supposed to be served with a salad but had to ask for one! Nice meeting place for large parties!

The food is top notch and the service is great, although I wish that the delivery services were as consistent as the food when you eat in. I have forgotten what the name of what I ordered was called, although the portion size was considerably different and not as nice as when I ate it in the restaurant.

Visited this restaurant many times. The food is always amazing, I normally have the chicken/lamb kebab and my boyfriend loves the chicken wings. The food is great and very affordable.

According to my wife, this place serves the best stuffed vine leaves in Havering! The staff are nice, the place is spotless (they are always tidying up) and the food was very good value.

We start going here about 18 months ago and all I can say is what a wonderful place. The food is always great, we have never had a bad meal there. The food is always plentiful and you are welcomed with a salad and bread with is a nightmare as you cannot stop eating it as it is so nice and have to have more. This isn’t a problem and you don’t get charged for this. Service is always with a smile and this place is always busy but they NEVER have turned anyone away in all the time we have been there.

We have used this restaurant several times and always have the sharing platter which is excellent value for money. We decided to order this as a takeaway on Sunday 3 June, we paid £47 for this platter and was absolutely disgusted in the small amount of food we received to feed 4 people as it states on the menu.

I've been to Istanbul Grill many times. The last time we went was for mothers day. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. They make your visit to the restaurant very satisfying. There is always a good atmosphere every time i've been. The food is outstanding. It's good to see a local business doing so well.

I actually use their takeaway service here and they never disappoint. Great food, brilliant quality, never been unhappy. Cannot fault it at all!

I really like Istanbul Grill in Elm Park. It's a local restaurant for us and the staff are always so nice and friendly. I love the warm flatbread with the big plate of salad and dips which is served on the house. The main courses are excellent and very generous. I love the moussaka there and recently tried the lamb shank - delicious. Some very nice Turkish wines on the list too. We'll return here again.

Wasn’t sure what to expect we needn’t have worried the food and service was excellent they served salad with pittas on arrival on the house with drinks on the house and a dessert they was more interested in you leaving happy than making more money very unusual in this day and age I had sea bass cooked to perfection and my partner had mixed grill no complaints it had great atmosphere will definitely return highly recommend

Booked a table this time as there were 4 of us and it was post snow so thought it may be a busy Sat evening. It was! Yet the service and food was top rate as before when there were just 2 of us and it wasn’t that busy. As yet we cannot fault this restaurant.

Well located near Elm Park station. Friendly attentive staff and a good choice on the menu. Very fresh food and they provide complimentary Turkish bread and mixed salad. The grilled salmon steak and meat balls were excellent.

Thanks to the kindness of the guys at Istanbul Grill my wife won dinner for two in the Local McMillan charity raffle. This was our first visit and certainly will not be the last. We shared the platter for two which would probably of fed three. This is a good place to have traditional Turkish grill food. The service was efficient and the guys have a great sense of humour.

The service was superb and on point. All staff were friendly. I have had a staff party and we have all loved the food. I am a regular since 2012. The meze and the battery bread is my favourite.

My family and I have just celebrated my ?? birthday and I must say that from start to finish the whole afternoon has been fabulous, There was sixteen of us and even with that many diners the service was impeccable, the food was served as a group not in a few here and the rest later, the food was well presented, hot and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend the Istanbul to family and friends, groups and individuals wanting a good meal and nice atmosphere.

Booked a table for my wife and self for 6-30pm on a Wednesday. only one couple dining. Realised the restaurant had changed hands and our very friendly manager and his staff were no longer around. This was no problem as the new manager and waiter were most welcoming without being intrusive and greeted us like old friends when they realised we knew the restaurant very well.Slight issue with the order which arrived with Adana and chicken rather than the Adana and lamb which I had requested but as the chicken was so tender and tasty it was not an issue and both my wife and I enjoyed a very good meal on a par with the best of the many Turkish restaurants we visit in the areaAnother issue occurred when I went up to the bar and ordered a glass of port to follow my meal and was pleased to hear the manager say that this was included in the price. However, no glass of port arrived when we paid the bill although I waited for some time.On checking with the manager he replied that he thought I had requested waterHowever we all treated the matter with a laugh and apology and in no way did it detract from a most enjoyable evening. Under the new management the restaurant is equally as good and I would recommend a visit, probably at a weekend where there would be more atmospherePleased to note that there is no belly dancing or loud music but I did not get my glass of port.

Have visited this place before never could be any other better place than Istanbul grill, there is other places to but Istanbul grill is the one of our best Turkish cuisine in this area ,welcoming with smile ,always tasty food specially the platters they made is unbelievable delicious n now they are giving all the customer buttery season bread to everyone with chilly and garlic sauces before u order anything ,highly recommended,service is brilliant food is amazing ,thanks so much for the night n my family n friend thanking so much .

We went here for my husbands birthday. The food was covered in loads of Garlic and Salt, it was so bad we couldn't eat the food. It us a shame as the portions are quite big. My son ordered a burger and chips and a side order of garlic bread, there was more garlic bread than his meal, but it was do loaded with garlic that we couldn't eat it. It is a small restaurant but lots of tables so you felt squashed in. Won't be going there again.

Went here last weekend as it was supposed to be the best Turkish in hornchurch.Its ok -food is average.I had vegetarian lasagne, don't order this, it's not nice. Don't think there was any seasoning or cheese in it.My Dh and dd had a meat platter to share. This was very good and both enjoyed their food. But then I have never had a bad meat platter have you?Waiters were attentive and food came quickly.A nice plate of carrots ,beetroot slaw and chopped salad arrived first with some pittas.Only had diet coke for diet drinks.Efes beer in bottles were good.The desert menu looked good but only dh ordered. Strawberry cheesecake. This was a baked version which was ok.Order the Turkish coffee. This was the nicest part of the meal.Beautiful little Islamic brass covered coffee cup .silver covered sugar pot in similar Islamic decoration. They were both lovely .Good coffee too served with glass of water.They do takeaway too. Didn't check prices of that though.Car parking on road is free after 7pm on weekends.There are seats outside if you like.It's a local restaurant filled with locals. If you don't like a noisy place with kids crying or giggling Don't go.The food is ok.Be nice if they had some more flourishes like the coffee as that was good.We probably won't be back. Bit expensive for what it is. 3 of us and it came to more than 55 quidNb if u have the platter ask for a doggy bag if u have dog!!

The one time my order was wrong - they replaced it and was so apologetic. Brilliant customer service. We have ordered the meal for 4 when we had guests over - plenty for 4 (and more). Someone recommended this restaurant to my partner. I had never had Turkish food before so didn't really know what to expect, or if I'd like it, as admittedly I'm not the best for trying new foods! We arrived and instantly I thought the decor of the restaurant was so lovely, dim cosy lighting with beautiful eastern style coloured lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and brought us some complimentary Turkish bread with fresh salad and a selection of dips which was so tasty. Our mains were absolutely gorgeous, I had the chicken shish which was so tender and full of flavour! I was so impressed! Plus it was very good value! I highly recommend this place!

This was our second visit; the food is delicious, a good selection of wines is available and the staff provide a friendly, attentive service. I would highly recommend the tuna whilst my partner loved the chicken shish. The salad is fresh and plentiful served alongside warm breads and dips makes for a very tasty complimentary starter.
