Friendly staff, we were able to watch the food being prepared. Large portions which were equally delicious and reasonably priced. Glad to find Efes on the drinks menu!

Amazing mixed grill, meat cooked perfectly. Nice restaurant and lovely staff. Annoying loud mouthed blonde woman, who was friends with the owners, kind of ruined the atmosphere. Difficult to talk to my wife! Would definitely go back if she wasn't there!! Restaurant spotless and Efes draught was beautiful

Nice and big Turkish and halal restaurant in the town. One of the few halal and delicious options. The staff and their hospitality are amazing, while food is not as delicious as i have experienced in other restaurants, especially in Kapadokya Restaurant in York. Overall experience was great and pure Turkish grilled meats. Mixed grilled platter is highly recommended.

This was a delivery We have eaten in and had food delivered from Instabul BBQ which we have commented positively about. Tonight however our food was not great. Really small portions, and our main dish which cost £19.50 had no salad and didn't look atall appetising. Disappointing meal which we would have sent back if we'd have been at the restaurant

Absolutely awful service! We have been coming to Istanbul bbq every time we visit Chester & food is always good! This visit waitress got our order wrong, she thought we ordered only 1 main course instead of the 3 that we did, found it bizarre that she thought 2 adults & 1 child whose almost a teenager would order only one main course but we are all human & mistakes can happen so when after waiting few minutes thinking 2 other main courses would appear, there was alas no sign so we signalled waitress over & asked where our 2 main courses were. She proceeded to serve the next table food & drinks then I realised she was chatting with her fellow waitresses without giving us any explanation to where our food was!!! Once we managed to get her attention to ask what was happening, she said that we had only ordered 1 main! But she now had told chef that 2 more main courses were required. At this point I was furious, not because she’d made initial order mistake but her absolute lack of care/consideration for us as we were sat waiting at her mercy! We waited another 20 minutes for said main courses to arrive & were given a very insincere apology! As there was no manager Mr Ali I will not be going back to this restaurant again! It’s all well & good to serve tasty food but what’s the point when your staff are hopeless & give the worst customer service. We paid in full with no offer of a deduction even tho one of us ate solo whilst other 2 ate almost 30 minutes later! Utterly shambolic!!!

I walked through the door on a Thursday evening and was greeted by a lady, I said can I have a table for one please? Only to be laughed at in my face. When I asked what was so funny she tried to divert the obvious rudeness but at this point I had already made up my mind to turn around and go elsewhere. obviously my custom wasn't important to them as I would of been taking up a table that could seat more. I travel up and down the country week in and week out with work staying away eating at restaurants solely. This is the first time ever I've experienced such rudeness at a restaurant by front of house staff.

Food is really good , so tasty and well presented. The two serving are very busy but always came back to us to check and update. A little gem

Found this place online after booking a stay at a nearby hotel. Absolutely beautiful food. Cooked to perfection over charcoal. Attentive service. Honestly couldn't fault a thing and will definitely be visiting again as soon as we can. Ps. Can highly recommend the chicken kluck?

Saw this place on Tripadvisor - the reviews were good and it was only 3 minutes from our hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Some people might say that it was a little expensive BUT that is when compared to a kebab takeaway. I had Iskender and my wife had lamb skewer (see photos) - both delicious and worth what we paid for them.

A five star service from a great restaurant. The food is always superb and freshly cooked and the staff are delightful. It really is worth a visit.

I can’t speak highly enough of this place. The food is exceptional. The staff, chefs and owners were excellent, and constantly engaging with us and all the other diners, which makes a huge difference. We took our little girl (4) and they made such an effort to talk with her, which again as parents made us feel very welcome. It’s honestly one of Chester’s hidden gems. They are on Deliveroo (which is where we have ordered from before), but the food was even more incredible in the restaurant. We will be coming back again and again.

Do not make this amazing restaurant your second choice. From the moment you walk in, you are very welcomed by all. Service and food out of this world. The passion from Chef's to front of house really shows. Chefs cook front of house and you are salivating waiting for your feast. Liver and peppers highly recommended.

I'm not sure it's authentic Turkish food, as key ingredients and flavours are missing! Overall, it's not a bad restaurant but a little underwhelming

I am absolutely discussed..I have always liked the food from IB however tonight I ordered a delivery and my main course did not arrive, I thought I would call IB and resolve by asking for the main to be sent. Unfortunately despite my calm manner they did not think this was their problem telling me I needed to complain via deliveroo then he actually hung up on me. In the past I have often promoted IB to friends, however my opinion has now changed .

This is a great place to eat an we are lucky enough to live 5mins away. Food excellent and very friendly efficient staff. The restaurant is exceptional clean and you can see the food being cooked as you watch on. Perfect and a must if you like Turkish food.

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor during a brief stay in Chester and it was wonderful. We love Turkish food and the food here was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and attentive without being obtrusive. The kitchen is open to the restaurant so we could watch our food being cooked. The decor was pleasant and everywhere was very clean. We can recommend this restaurant without reservation!

Brilliant place ! Authentic, fresh, delicious food, cooked offer charcoal. Excellent service and ice cold efes. I had the Adana kebab main course and it was out of this world good, a good sized portion, fresh off the charcoal grill beautifully spiced. The fresh bread was amazing too

We have visited this premises twice now hoping that the customer service would improve but it hasn't. There are 2 female waitresses employed here that don't know how to treat customers, starting with the fact that they never smile and are very abrupt towards you. Every time we visit they rush you eating your food and even try and serve the main course whilst you are eating your starter!! To be honest the food is satisfactory but not value you for money. If I order a bottle of wine in a restaurant I expect the staff to pour it and not slam the glasses on the table, saying nothing and just walk off!! We won't be visiting here again.

We read the reviews and decided to give this a try. We were in Chester for one night and did try to phone and book online the previous day, but we couldn’t seem to do this. It was a Thursday evening and we were staying at the Mill Hotel, only a couple of minutes walk away, so we decided to chance our luck without booking. This turned out to not be a problem, as there were tables available. We were glad that we tried this Turkish style restaurant, as the food was excellent. My husband and I shared a yogurt and cucumber dip to start and I had a main of lamb chops, whilst he opted for the mixed grill. Both were plentiful, tasty and accompanied with rice and salad. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and service was excellent. We would visit again.

This really is similar to a restaurant in Istanbul. You really get your money's worth! We had to wait for a while for the food to arrive, however.

Best restaurant in Chester, the food is fresh, barbecued whilst you watch and the combinations and flavours are to die for. The Turkish sausage is fantastic. Staff are Lovely ! Worth every penny and more. It’s a regular, and a must visit !!!!

Love this place. As a meat lover, you can't go wrong with the quality and amazing taste of their dishes. Go there on an e evening when busy for atmosphere, but if you're looking for a quieter visit, early Saturday afternoon gets my vote. The only thing I'd like to see is an improvement on the wine menu, but of course that's a very personal/subjective area for most ;)

In the Chester city center , that restorant is very convinient for familly or busyness meetings and can offer you menu for every taste. Resonable prices. Defo you gonna have nice time here, so enjoy it.

I can't understand why review are so high. Food is not the best: rice too salty, too less of side salad, yogurt sauce too liquidity. Tomato sauce is just warm tomato pasta with huge amounts of black paper. It was hard to find meat between lamb bone and fat. Same seasoning for chicken and lamb, seriously? If it will be my first Turkish cuisine experience I would never try Turkish meals again.

The worst service ever!! Sat in the restaurant for 1.5 hours and did not get food. Kept being lied to about how long food would be, until eventually told our food had been given to someone else and they were remaking it. We went with guests from London and had an event to go to following, so we left the restaurant without eating and went to the event hungry. Spoiled our evening, would never go again!

Brilliant! This was our first visit and we will certainly visit again. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed our most amazing meal in this glorious Turkish restaurant. Food was cooked right in front of you in the bbq grill. The chicken skewers were divine, moist, flavoursome, tender and grilled to perfection. The bread was light and fluffy. We also loved our aubergine salad and stuffed aubergine. Both were bursting with favour. I had a special treat by getting the Turkish turnip juice, first time to enjoy it after my pre covid Turkish holiday. Simply superb! Highly recommended!

This place offers exquisite food. The owner was kind enough to give us a table without booking on a Saturday evening. Tried their Cluck Chicken, the chicken was soft, perfectly BBQed and the sauce was out of this world. Their Meat Curry was lit. The owner was courteous enough to recommend cheese to go along with it, and he recommendation was spot on. Definitely going back when I am back in town.
