Lovely location we sat outside in April sunshine. Staff very attentive food delicious & hot. Proper cup of tea served in China cup & saucer. Reasonable priced. Overall a good relaxed breakfast we will be back.

We came across Ireby Green Cafe by chance recently and were immediately struck by the friendly welcome we received by the helpful staff. The food is first rate, the prices are fair and the service is quick and efficient. We have since returned and our new expectations were surpassed. Well done to all concerned at Ireby Green Cafe. You fully deserve your success.

A beautiful farm shop stocking many local delicacies. Pleasant staff. Clean and hygienic. Just off the A65. Good parking, narrow entrance road with passing places. There is also a cafe (but we didn’t visit on this occasion).

Brilliant tea rooms .Great food especially breakfasts. Lovely cakes. Very clean, lovely surroundings. Friendly staff. 5 Star.

Popped in for a quick Sunday lunch - didn’t have a booking but they managed to fit us in. Lovely roast lamb with homemade roasters and Yorkshire puds… rest of family had a homemade veg lasagne from the specials board and homemade pie. Lovely food and really friendly service.

The food here is great and the portion sizes are good. It is a little hidden but worth it! The farm shop has some great little pieces too.

Visited Ireby Green Cafe again today with friends. Not counted how many times we have eaten here but it is quite a few now. It never fails to disappoint, food beautifully cooked & hot. Thank you Sylvia & team.

Stopped here for lunch today. Cage car park was full, but there was space in the farm shop car park just around the corner. Lovely sunny day, and plenty of tables indoors, outdoors and in shade and sunshine. Staff were friendly and drinks and food were delivered promptly. Food well priced, freshly prepared and tasty. Excellent lunch spot just off the main road.

Booked lunch and travelled from Morecambe,. We have been looking (and trying) to find a lunch venue where the food is exceptional, and finally we have found it. The cafe setting is lovely, the staff friendly and attentive. The service is quick. The menu is extensive. But most important the food is delicious. Home made, hot and plenty. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back. I would recommend this lovely cafe. Might be best to book beforehand.

We came across this place by accident and what a delightful place it is, friendly staff and dogs are welcome under the veranda which has a roof and is sheltered, the farm shop sells some lovely things too. We will definitely be going again

Had a drive out yesterday with family and stopped here for lunch. What a lovely place, dog friendly and very chilled. We sat outside in the sun and I had. a panini with lots of chicken and bacon, salad and crisps. Hubby had salad with chicken, ,bacon, and baby potatoes and my daughter had a beef burger which was cooked to perfection. All three meals where completely finished and enjoyed will definitely go again as I want to try thecakes which looked yummy.

Went in the sunshine for coffee and cake! Lovely set up, very friendly staff and great cake!! Definitely worth a stop off. Will be back and Tilly the resident dog is ❤️

Superb first visit and we’ll 100% be back. We have a 3 month old puppy and after a 20 minute drive of dog barking in our ears, we wondered if we’d made a mistake. We were welcomed with open arms, Tilly the resident dog helped our Jasper settle in, and we had a glorious breakfast outside in a beautiful setting. Walked the circular trail which was well sign posted and a perfect length for a puppy. The food was served very fast, very hot, and tasty. Everything was perfect, loved loved loved it!

I met friends here yesterday. The food was absolutely perfect and the cakes were delicious. Fantastic service by a lovely lady who greeted us at the door.A perfect time was had by all and we all went home absolutely stuffed.Thankyou.

Went here for the first time after visiting the goats gap cafe what a difference the food was great the coffee delicious would recommend this to anyone. Will definitely be going back

We have been here for lunch,a few times in past two months,and, prior to lockdown,we also buyprovisions from the shop weekly.The last twice we have been,all inside tables have been reserved,so,we had to eat outside,on theveranda,fine in warm weather,but not so pleasant,at this time of year.Last week we arrived at 11-45,and left before 1pm,at which time,some inside tables,we’re still empty,so,we could have eaten inside,and been gone before the booking arrived.The food here is very good,however,if they want the outside tables in use,some form of patio heaterswould be beneficial,all round,otherwise think we will go elswhere for the winter months.

My sister and I had a fantastic lunch on Tuesday 25th August on a very wet day but did not dampen our spirits one bit, and to top it off we had homemade scone with clotted cream & jam just from the oven , oh my word heaven Fantastic welcoming staff very organised and very covid19 safe . We will definitely going back soon

Such a disappointment this morning. Had friends coming to meet us for 2 hrs hence why I pre-booked a table for 10.a.m to save us some time.  Ordered 4 breakfasts as soon as we sat down. My husband's breakfast came to the table when everyone else had finished eating their breakfasts.  Apart from an apology for it being late, no refund of any kind was offered. My husband asked a member of staff if anything was going to be refunded, and the staff member looked at us completely shocked that we had made this request stating she would have to ask the manager. The manager then came to our table and she said to my husband, "Well I can knock off the price of a coffee as there was nothing wrong with your breakfast was there?" which we all felt was irrelevant, simply as our complaint was the fact that a breakfast had arrived when everyone else had finished eating theirs. We appreciate that mistakes do happen. However, it is about how the customer is treated when they do, and on this occasion customer service definitely fell short of our expectations.

Lovely place, been a couple of times, nice cafe next to the river, sat outside on the terrace, lovely setting, food very good. Would be good if opened a little later as closes at 3.30pm, as 2nd time we went later In the afternoon to do the walk, was hoping for a coffee and a cake on our return but got back too late.

We have driven past the sign for the farm cafe and shop many times, but today ventured into the quaint little cafe hidden from the main road. Lots of choice and many ingredients from local sources and home made cakes. We enjoyed a 2 course meal special and not disappointed.Staff friendly and attentive, food portion sizes good and the facilities clean and welcoming. We will certainly visit again, hopefully when the weather has improved and we can sit outside. Added bonus, there is also a little farm shop to wander around and seek out a purchase.

Chose this from Tripadvisor and once again good choice, great local homemade food with great choice, had the small soup and ploughmans platter meal deal, ate too much as couldnt leave any, then over to the shop for scones and jam to take home for tea

Often stop here if I’m on a bike ride or wandering up and down Ingleborough... and they always deliver! Location is amazing, peaceful and relaxing and I’ve always had a warm reception. Everything I’ve ever ordered had been tip top but, for me, you can’t beat the Scone with jam and clotted cream! The little gift shop has some quirky little items, I’ve bought things for the Christmas tree in the past. Overall, highly recommended... enjoy your stop!

Visited for full English Breakfast (inc black pudding) the quality of the food prepared is outstanding, the staff amazing, chatting to the customers as friends. I noticed that several tables were occupied by single local people who feel very much at ease in this cafe. Toilets spotless and a great range of produce available in the farm shop. This is a real gem of a cafe.

We happened upon this cafe and farm shop on our way to the lakes today. It was warm and welcoming, light and airy, plenty of space between tables and good loos.The ploughman’s caught my partner’s eye, as a small soup was included. There was a choice of three soups, he had red pepper and sweet potato, highly recommended, I had vegetable. The local ham, coleslaw, bread and chutney accompanied generous chunks of Brie and cheddar, salad and pickles. We particularly liked the chutney, which we were able to purchase in the farm shop. Highly recommended, arrive early to pick a table.

Just off the A65 along a narrow lane but plenty of car parking. Decent sized tables and most staff helpful and friendly. Adequate menu for a café but a bit overpriced compared with others in the area. The only real problem was with the background noise with no curtains or soft furnishings to dampen down conversations and general chatter.

We stopped here whilst taking the long way home after a visit to Hawes. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast - normal and small. The coffee was very good also. The shop however was about average. The cafe however was worth the visit alone.

This was our first visit and we came on a recommendation. They do good gluten free options which is fabulous as being GF makes eating out hard. Unfortunately my meal was spoiled by a pot of Earl Grey tea which was laced with vanilla. This wasn't mentioned on ordering and unfortunately due to my spice allergy I am now suffering the after effects which ruined the day (and will the next couple).

Called here when out with my wife we had a small breckfest it was really nice I was glad I had a small breckfest it came with sausage bacon egg mushrooms blackpudding tomato beans hashbrown toast marmalade the big breckfest is double the people are very friendly it's clean a lovely place to visit

Access is just off the A65 the road is quite narrow - plenty of car parking. Their breakfast is superb. Choice of large or small size, the large comes with a coffee or tea. Toast and marmalade included. Quality sausage, bacon and black pudding. Shall return again and for lunch as the menu is excellent.

Well worth a visit, the farm shop has lovely range of Christmas decorations and gifts. Wide range of teas- had early grey and vanilla but was spoilt for choice.

Called in for a stunning breakfast crammed full of local products, tasty as hell. This place ina great setting and has a wonderful addition of deli farmshop with gifts, well worth a visit.

Visited with my mum and dad for her 70th birthday. The staff were so accommodating as I had rung them beforehand to see if I could call in first to drop off a 70th balloon and surprise birthday cake with candles. Our food was lovely....I had the Ploughmans, my mum the caramelized onion tart and my dad the beef. We all really enjoyed the food and the service was top notch from start to finish! My mum had a lovely time. Thank you very much

We have been calling here for about three years on and off on our way up to the Lakes. We went in yesterday and found a table. A lot had been reserved. Then we sat there for a good 20 minutes before I managed to catch the waitresses eye. She apologised when she came across saying she hadn't noticed us! I always have the warm chicken, bacon and NEW potatoe salad. The last but one time I had to send it back as it was drowned in olive oil even though the member of staff said that it was a dressing it was more olive oil than anything. Yesterday, as I am on a diet, I ordered it and it came with roast potatoes instead of new potatoes as per the menu, so I had to send it back. The salad was very basic. The roast potatoes were on top of the salad leaves so the salad leaves were black and wilted and greasy. It came back with hot new potatoes on top of the salad leaves, and still drowned in oil. I feel that the potatoes should be cool to be on top of the leaves. I actually couldn't be bothered to complain any further so just ate it. When we were ready to leave a member of staff came to collect our plates and asked if we had enjoyed our meal. To which I answered "not particularly as my salad came with roast potatoes instead of new potatoes and was also drowned in olive oil" to which she said "Oh dear maybe it's not to your taste and it looks like you are having a bad day" Really. No I said it is the Chef who is having a bad day. She just walked away. It seems to me that most people go for the roast lunches and everything else is a side line. Very disappointed and have decided to find somewhere else to try.

We met our family for lunch here one Sunday. There were 4 adults and two youngsters, the staff were extremely cheerful, accommodating and efficient. Their children's portions were exactly the right size and very nicely presented. Our food was hot, well cooked and again very well presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We will certainly come here again when meeting the family half way between them and us. Do call in it is well worth the visit.

Just popped in for lunch with large family and friends. The roast beef dinner is great. A very large slab of need, loads of veg and very good value. Most other people had sandwiches and all were very happy the food.

My wife and I were staying in Ireby and a friend had recommended we try Ireby Green Farm Cafe. We're glad she did! The food was very good indeed, in fact we ate there on three occasions in the week we stayed. The Big Breakfast and Beef Pie were excellent. The food is not overpriced and the helpings are generous. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Every time we pass we now call in for anything from a brew, breakfast or scones and cream, depending on the time of day. Always well worth the visit

Some of the best coffee I have tasted along with freshly baked cakes. The shop and deli are definitely worth a visit. We will be back - maybe lunch next time as the menu looked both appetising and reasonably priced.

We stopped for lunch today, I had the soup and Ploughman’s combined, whilst my friend had the pulled pork baguette. Both meals were lovely, and reasonably priced. Lovely setting to eat, and once we finished we completed the ‘farm walk’ which is a 15-20 min circular walk. Very enjoyable and a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

This place gets better and better everytime I visit, called in for coffee and cake today, what a stunning selection of homemade cakes. We then had a wander out to the farm shop, this outbuilding has been transformed. We'll be back for lunch very soon.

Of all the options locally this is the most convenient. Just off the A65 with lots of parking, food is great and very well priced. Coffee is up-to-standard (not immense, but not supposed to be). A small shop/gift area with surprisingly interesting art available, however they seem to be expanding this significantly and imminently.

We visited this cafe four years ago (time flies as I didn't realise it was so long) and I wrote quite a scathing review as we had a bad experience, HOWEVER, I am more than happy to report that on this visit we were IMPRESSED with the whole experience. In normal circumstances if a place impresses us we return again and again but if it disappoints then it has that one chance, I am happy to say we decided to give this place another chance as we were driving past and looking for breakfast, and so glad we did, the physical place itself hasn't changed a lot in those four years but the atmosphere and the friendliness of the place was now first class. Hubby had full breakfast and I had a breakfast sandwich, both came quickly and efficiently, glad to report it was a choice of tea or coffee this time (we had the lovely strong coffee). The staff were lovely and friendly and interactive, tables that had been used were cleared and cleaned quickly and efficiently. It was a really friendly visit and we both agreed that we would come back again. It just goes to show, staff can make or break a review. Well done to the owner for making this a lovely place to return to.

We came here after Google suggested it when we were looking for somewhere to have coffee near Kirkby Lonsdale before getting back on to the motorway. My latte was really lovely and served in an old school mug. We were saving ourselves for lunch, so didn't have anything to eat, but the cakes looked delicious and the other menu options (plenty of hot food dishes) looked delicious and really reasonably priced. There is plenty of car parking and it's well signposted off the road. There is outdoor seating and a little shop area. The toilets were clean. After our coffee we went for a little walk around a signposted trail, I would recommend wearing walking boots as it was quite muddy and part of the trail is through fields. There is a lovely panoramic view of the Lakes and countryside at the highest point of the trail. The staff were friendly and didn't even mind us coming back to use the loo again before we set off. It appears they are developing further in 2019, so we will be back for another visit before too long.

By championoing local producers and employing lo=cal staff you get a real taste of the countryside . Their varied menu of dishes of the day or season are a real treat. Wander in and treat your self... don't drive by as I have for a few years.The farm walk is also wonderful on dry clear days. We will be back

Two of us went for Sunday lunch and were very impressed with both the service and the food. One of us had the blade of Bowland beef and the other had Bowland lamb. Both meals were served with Yorkshire pudding,roast potatoes,red cabbage,carrots and peas.It was all delicious and well cooked. For dessert we both had ginger sponge with toffee sauce and custard - again delicious. The staff were efficient and friendly. Booking is advisable as it is popular. The bill came to £24 for both of us.

I visited Ireby Green Farm Cafe a couple of weeks ago for afternoon tea with friends. The afternoon tea was really nicely presented and had a good selection of savoury and sweet. The miniature Yorkshire pudding with beef was particularly good! Would recommend.

My Friends and I were departing from a week long stay in Coniston and noticed your Cafe signage enroute Home. Because of the Tour de Britain, we skipped Breakfast and were planning to stop for a bite to eat along the way.

This is a nice place with both indoor and outdoor seating, comprehensive menu and specials board. Good well presented reasonably priced food, pleasant staff. All in all a good experience, will go back again.

We visited with family for lunch and it’s a real gem. The cake and lunch menu is very good, lots of options. The food and service was very good.

We have had several lovely family lunches at the cafe. There is a good selection on the menu and the food is always tasty. There are nice surroundings and it is also child friendly! Would recommend a visit!

Decided to stop for a quick snack. Only had a toasted tea cake and coffee(which was excellent I may add) Wish I had time for more as there was a good selection on the board and on the menu---and the cakes looked really yummy!!!!! The food I saw was well presented and freshly cooked. Staff were very cheerful even though they were busy. A bonus for me was the seating area outside--a plus if you have a dog. Everything was fresh and clean. Will go again and have a meal.

We had pre-booked tables for lunch and a reduced selection menu from which we had already made our choices. The food was really good - nicely served and tasty. The caramelised onion tart was delicious - and the fruit pavlova to follow couldn't be faulted. Others in the group spoke highly of the fish pie. The service was friendly and obliging. The cafe itself was light and airy - and spotlessly clean. It was also possible to eat outside on a lovely, colourful terrace. Can highly recommend.

Been here a few times, as I stay at a friends caravan on the site, and the food and service have always been good. Very popular place and rightly so.

Really impressed with the afternoon tea we had here. My only drawback was when asked if we wanted tea or coffee and we all - 8 of us ordered tea -just pots of tea were brought with no choice say of Earl Gray or something else.The food was delicious and I will return one day

Ireby Green cafe is situated in a lovely setting with nice views. It is modern and well furnished. The range of food is good with a good selection of main meals. The service was also good - it was very busy when we visited so we had to wait a bit for our food but it was worth it when it came. I would recommend visiting if you are passing through.

We had a delicious well cooked lunch in a very pleasant small farm cafe in a lovely rural setting. Service was good. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try the short way marked farm trail.

It is somewhere I always eat when in the area, and it was great to see the place is still as special as always, fresh food served with pleasant staff, plus a proper cup of tea...says it all.

I’m not usually the person to review somewhere but after reading the comments from Janet I feel I need to defend this quaint and friendly cafe. The staff are fantastic, always smiling and nothing is to much trouble. The menu is extensive and good value for money. It is always a busy cafe which ensures the atmosphere is thriving. Because of this I’m not surprised that staff (as Janet mentions) have little time to ask about the weather. I especially liked the special finishing touches such as the china cups and the durable teapots. I look forward to seeing the new shop and will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended.

I have visited many times and always have a fantastic time whether Afternoon tea with girlfriends, lunch with family, or ice creams after the beautiful farm walk.

First the positives, the cafe is situated down a pretty track just off the main road. There are plenty of tables and the place is clean and tidy.

This lovely little place is a 40 minute drive from me, and it's worth it! Recommend booking as it gets so busy, especially on a sunday. 2 courses for 11.50 you really can't go wrong! The food was delicious and service was prompt and efficient. I had the beef served with Yorkshire puddings and veg, the best I've ever had! Will definitely be back

We visit this cafe quite often though not been since before Christmas. We called on a Saturday in January after a drive to Kirby Lonsdale it was quite busy but managed to get a table as was mid afternoon. There was a large party of 14/16 having afternoon tea as a celebration for a birthday. In spite of this the service was good and we soon received our food of Brie and Cranberry with bacon on toasted wholemeal bread with a salad garnish and my husband had Haddock Goujons with chips and peas both very good. There is is only one thing I find when visiting all cafes why is your tea brought so early? Perhaps someone from the many reviews I have written on Tripadvisor would enlighten me on this matter and perhaps other people have suffered this problem too! No slight on the food or service of the many places we have eaten. We really have only found one place where the drinks don t come till your food (unless requested by us)

We went with a group of people for an evening meal, the cosy warm atmosphere, with the aroma of home cooked food was amazing. We had the most amazing meal, the Beef just melted in your mouth, as did the fresh home cooked vegetables. The home made deserts, you have to see to believe, and the taste unbelievable. Along with the friendly helpful staff, and good service, all in all a perfect and enjoyable night was had by all. We would have no hesitation, in recommending anybody to eat at Ireby Green Farm Café.

We found this cafe on a trip to the lakes access is down a country lane but well worth the drive..the menu is fairly wide and the service prompt and good.the food its self was of good quality and the whole atmosphere was. Very good .the toilets were new and clean

Have been visiting here many times on the way to the Lake District. The setting is great and the building fits so well into its setting. Very relaxing with friendly staff and a wide menu range representing excellent value. Can get very busy so if you are looking for a full meal suggest you book. Bit reluctant to say too much more in case it gets so popular we will not get a seat!

Hemos vivido en la zona durante 11 años pero quedamos asombrados de encontrar este encantador café escondido a unos metros de la carretera principal de Kirby Lonsdale a Ingleton. Es encantador! - grande, espacioso, con un buen menú y un servicio muy amable, incluso en un día ajetreado. Yo tenía un pollo, tocino y nueva ensalada de patatas, que estaba recién preparada y de buen tamaño. El desayuno completo parecía impresionante! Y muy, muy buena relación calidad-precio en general, no me puedo quejar. ¡volveremos!

Nos alojamos en la pintoresca ciudad de Kirkby Lonsdale y el dueño de la Cafetería Ireby recomendado para el almuerzo, granja verde y no me decepcionó. Es una preciosa granja cafetería con mesas y sillas fuera de supervisión al río. El personal era muy atento y era como muy amable. Mi mujer pidió la ensalada de pollo, que era muy bonita y yo fuimos para un pastel de carne más rústico, que también era delicioso. Nuestros dos hijos pequeños había pescado y patatas fritas que luego disfrutamos. Por supuesto! ! Habiendo visto todos los pasteles en pantalla que decidimos el capricho de la tarta de chocolate, que era rico y tenía un bonito aterciopelado textura. Nos les pulido con té y café y luego tuvimos una breve charla con la camarera y nos dijo que ellos hacen su propio pan, que es agradable - no hay muchos lugares que hacen pan. La cafetería también estaba muy ocupado y tenía un buen ambiente del lugar. Una verdadera experiencia cómoda y relajada. Los precios también eran muy razonables y definitivamente volveremos! !

Visited for lunch. Not at all busy we seated ourselves and awaited service. Other customers seated after were served before us even though I had caught the waitress's eye to show we were ready to order. After taking others order she looked again and simply walked away. It would appear regular customers get priority. Service has always been slow but I feel this time the waitress's action was rude and dismissive.

Visited here recently with a large family group (ages 8yrs - 86yrs) and we couldn't have chosen a better place for our lunch. It was a special occasion and we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and good value for money. I would definitely recommend Ireby Green to anyone and will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

Visited this establishment this afternoon (Monday 26 June) at 3.46 pm. Our intention was to have a coffee and traybake or similar. Advised by waitress that we were too late as they stopped serving at 3.45 pm this despite not closing until 4.30 pm !Must be doing really well if they can afford to turn away customers 44 minutes before they due to close. Their website states that they are open until 4.30 pm !!! and no mention of this ridiculous rule about stopping serving 45 minutes before closing.We left drove a short distance along the road to The Country Kitchen where the reception and welcome could not have been more different.Think a rethink is required by the management of this establishment. Obviously would be very unlikely to return.

We visit here quite often on our way back from Kirkby lonsdale,It's often busy too say it's out of the way of the main road which is always a good sign, but we have always managed to find a table,the food is always good and cooked freshly and they offer gluten free bread for sandwiches which is a bonus for me,my friends usually have cake and are spoilt for choice,They also have a good range of daily specials,And you can have a snack or full meal

We have passed this place quite a few times and always said we would call in sometime. I'm so glad we did it was absolutely lovely. We both had breakfast one large one small. Cooked and presented perfectly and tasted delicious. The staff were lovely and polite and friendly. The cafe is by the side of a little brook and in good weather it would be nice to sit outside. Unfortunately it was raining quite heavily when we went but we will be back and very soon. Looking forward to trying some lunch there. Excellent thank you

Decided to give this place a try after passing the sign for it loads of times. So pleased we did, what a great place. We both had coffee and cake as it was only just 12 noon and too early for lunch for us on a Sunday. Cannot say how wonderful my cake was. we even bought a cushion there too. Great place and will certainly be going back soon.
