Non pretentious but excellent sea food including imaginative small plates menus as well as excellent traditional fish and chips.

Had a fantastic meal here on Friday, we love coming back to Into the Blue, the food is always consistently brilliant and service is always friendly and attentive, great place to bring people visiting Shoreham if you can get a table.

Absolutely delicious food. All freshly cooked, flavours really singing in all the dishes. Innovative and tasty - monkfish in a delicate laksa, roast potatoes with Indian spices, boulibasse to name a few

Staff are super friendly and helpful. I had Octopus as a starter which was tender and in a nice sauce. Herself had a good sized (for a starter) piece of Monkfish which was cooked as it should be. Both has Boullabas served with fresh baguette. Lovely. Nice wine too. All reasonably priced. Still as good as it's always been.

A lovely find - hidden away in Shoreham beach - but the service is excellent and friendly, the fish is fresh and well cooked. Love the menu! Nicely informal and not stuffy

I wouldn't ordinarily post, but we were served two gone off prawns and it was very clear..when the issue was raised I was offered £2 off with attitude and had to push back for a meagre free desert.I love this restaurant and have come 5x and spent £120+ each time for two peope. I want to come again because the food is amazing but raising an issue and being made to feel like it's our fault is not cool or professional.Have some quality control over serving gone off prawns. We cook all the time and you can tell. You can make people sick. Ps - food is amazing but what we experienced was unpleasant. Both hoping we aren't sick....

Outstanding dining experience with impeccable wine pairing—among the best I've ever encountered. Highly recommend, and would gladly return if in the area.

On a lovely sunny October Thursday lunchtime. My wife and I enjoyed a couple of hours savouring the best cooked, flavours and variety in dishes, akin to a tapas meal. We chose the Sharing Platter at £ 62.00 on the day. Served by very pleasant staff, on to our table was placed at a following pace, were Chilli Squid, Smoked Mackerel Pate, Sea Bass, Venison Steak, Cod and Vegetable Pakora and extra side dishes too of Indian Potatoes plus a dish of Potatoe Fries. All washed down with a glass of Prosecco for the Lady and a pint of Guinness. Highly recommended, taste sensation.

Our first time yesterday trying this place. Very friendly staff, great service and wonderful food. Food was always very hot when it came out and very tasty. It was clean and tidy inside.

A delicious treat again! The menu has changed since my last visit and myself and two of my adult daughters really enjoyed the small plates and the multiple delicious tastes we shared. A highlight was the fresh hake, huge flakes, perfectly moist and tasty. Also the oysters, and then must not forget the chilli squid. The wine was a reasonable price, and the dessert delicious. I feel fortunate to live near such a high quality very local establishment which is good value for money and offers friendly service and an excellent range of dishes. Looking forward to next visit!

It seldom happens at any restaurant but we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Fresh oysters were very fresh which my husband loved and I loved my scallops. Fillet steak was awesome and tender and lobster was great. We made the last minute booking so sat at one of the outside tables and the blanket was great service. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Such a joy to return here after a long break. Lovely welcome and excellent selection of food and drink on offer. As a big seafood fan you would think I would be spoilt for choice living on this island nation but sadly this is not always the case. Well done to Into The Blue for representing Shoreham so well.

Taster menu ( £62 for two). Food & service was excellent. The only thing that let this restaurant down was the smoke inside. Really need to work on the extraction fans. Very smoky inside from the kitchen & cooking. It’s a small venue and it was quite over powering at times.

I get boring going on about how well the Dover Sole Meuniere is done in this delightful restaurant. Whatever you have is beautifully cooked, the service is wonderful and the price very reasonable.

Love this restaurant and never have written any reviews as food always good but recently visited and 2 out if our party ordered the Dover sole as our mains. We waited 45 minutes from our starter to when our main course appeared not a real problem but the sole was totally over salted but didn’t want to mention anything but yes we did eat it but was extremely disappointed and after leaving drunk a huge amount if water! Did mention to a waitress upon leaving but the chef needs to taste before it’s served. Won’t be returning for a while.

Another great night for us here and as usual service was exemplary, food was, as always amazing and such a great place to dine in. The staff are absolutely awesome especially the lady who has a black Labrador who found time to talk about the benefits of owning a dog. It’s not the first time we’ve been here and just such a great restaurant.

First time visit to this restaurant and didn't know what to expect, and what a gem. Relaxed atmosphere near to the beach, and welcoming service even though very busy. The food was beautiful, and the flavours were amazing. Recommend you book and will definitely be returning

Very disappointing, we have visited before Covid, and had a great substantial meal at a reasonable price. Unfortunately things have changed. This is just a glorified fish and chip shop thinking it is a high class restaurant. It is not. But it still charges high class prices, for low quality battered fish and chips. We will not be returning.

Nice relaxed ambience and good service. The food was excellent, nicely presented and hot. I'm returning again in July with a large group who i'm sure will be equally impressed.

Excellent meal! Fresh fish and shellfish cooked to perfection; a chef who knows what they are doing. A digestif on the the house to boot.

The restaurant atmosphere was generally quite lively. The staff were quite helpful though took a little bit to get to us. Food was decent but just decent given the price.

Not impressed & sadly we left before ordering. They made a big deal about not being able to just walk in & take our chances without prior booking over the phone (in a less than friendly manner) & when we arrived for our reserved table there were plenty of free tables going. One particular staff member was giving off a very snooty condescending vibe . We felt the whole thing was very overblown pretentious & trying too hard to be something it wasn’t. The food was overpriced for what it was, the environment wasn’t particularly relaxing to be in & it was basically a beach cafe (which is fine & could have been lovely) except they clearly thought they were a 5 star Michelin restaurant in Paris. Overall it didn’t feel very welcoming to us or particularly friendly. It just Wasn’t Worth our precious time to stick around & pay the overblown prices to find out what the food was like. Unfortunately.

Odd location but 5 mins from the beach - fresh seafood. The best we have found on the south coast - oysters , local lobsters, seafood- beautiful- love the ginger sauce with the oysters but the one with mussels to die for too. Provençal wine...

Great welcome by staff. Starter dips pretty average. Main fish and chips not that great. Bouillabaisse tasty but not sure why dollops of cream added? Perhaps for moules marinieres? Brownie desert very nice. Bottle of Australian Sauvignon very good. Bit pricey at short of £100....

We went with some friends who are local and wanted to come here for quite some time. I found the food good but nothing special, perhaps I was expecting the produce to be fresher? Or perhaps cooked with less condiment so I could taste the flavour? We got some starters to share and I was very disappointed with the squid,I felt it wasn't fresh, very chewy some parts and hard others. My main was a buyavesse and pretty poor execution compared to others that I've had in France or Spain, although the fish in this main dish was better. Hospitality was top notch, we even got a complementary drink at the end. Also desserts, a bit meh, nothing special if you ask me. I got the Eton mess and pretty poor for £7 dessert, I felt nothing on that desert was home made. I would go once to try it but I wouldn't repeat if you ask me.

Always excellent fish. We had Lobster Thermidor and it was very succulent with plenty of sauce. There was a side salad with a lovely light honey vinagraite dressing. We will certainly go again. Since visiting after a long time we find that the excellent fish menu has changed to a not so good fish tapas selection, with a few basic fish dishes such as fish and chips. Not what we were expecting. I don't think we shall be going again.

My husband and I went here tonight fir our wedding anniversary and my birthday celebration. And was not let down at all. All the food was totally amazing ( my compliments to the chefs)and also big thank you to millie for explaining what the ingredients for each dish.your a diamond. Went with friends after work, roof Terrace upper area not quite as pleasant as lower... more of a smoking area which wasn't really what we had hoped for when booking a table for 10. Plus on a Tuesday night the bar was on the ground floor...a trek for top ups... decided to opt for a starter from the menu as did a friend. Really not impressed, what a pity as the mains looked lovely. Felt quite let down.

Just discovered this place for the first time and how unique it is. Jia Mo is an archetypal 'only do a couple of things and do them REALLY well' kind of a place. The hand-made noodles were really tasty and the cold sliced beef with chilli oil was unlike anything I've had in this country (in a good way!) I'm on a low carb diet at the moment so was really pleased to see zero carb options on the menu I highly recommend a visit if you fancy something different and authentic. This place deserves to do really well As for the negative 'cold beef sandwich' review why bring a place down for being authentic? The menu is very clear that the beef is served cold, as is tradition in Xi An and Jia Mo offers 2 different cuts of beef: Shank (well known and loved for its fattiness) and topside (lean if fatty is not your thing)

Was initially apprehensive about visiting a fish orientated restaurant as I'm vegan, however the vegetarian options were exquisite. In this case the cost of the food matched the quality. The service was warm and helpful. The wine was good and the ambience cosy, much needed on a cold night. I've given four stars, because it would be great to have a vegan dessert option on the menu, apart from a sorbet. The desserts sounded delicious, a toffee-ish pudding, Eton mess, but no vegan ice-cream. Otherwise can't recommend highly enough.

Have been going for many years but it has now gone down hill substantially! The main meals were not main meals! The steak was fine but served on a small plate with nothing e with it at all. Then had to surround yourself with other small side orders at extra costs! There are no longer any fish platters and everything has sauces rather than being great fish as it was before! My 90 year old dad is a life-long lover of fish and yesterday he had the Dover sole and told me after it was the best fish he’s had in a long time- high praise indeed! Our first visit was very enjoyable - the lovely fresh fish and locally sourced beer, the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service- we will be back soon, thanks for the great lunch with my dad.
