Amazing BBQ based food with a great, friend ly service. There's loads of parking but it does get very busy at the weekend and d uring school holidays.

Huge portions, great value, lovely meal. No wonder its so very popular.

Everything about Inkies is excellent. Venue, Atmosphere, Service, Quality of food, Amount of food, Moonshine, Sauces oh the Milkshakes OMG just everything.. I'm not local but I'd drive 3hrs to enjoy all this again. If you haven't been then you have to go ASAP!! I mean they're not going anywhere but JUST GO!!!!!!!

A hidden gem in Cornwall for meat lovers. We tried all the selection of meats and would definitely be back again for more.

Just echoing everybody else's review that this is a great little place to start or end a walk in the area. The staff are really friendly, and the food is generously portioned and super tasty. I was there on a bank holiday at 12h and it wasn't too busy, but at 14h when I returned it was pretty busy. They now take contactless payments 👍🏼

Wow! My husband is a big smokehouse buff, so we drive nearly an hour to try this place and wow it did not disappoint. My husband hasn't stopped talking about it since we visited. The wait staff were also lovely. I had the philly cheesesteak and he had the cow in a carpet. The biscoff shake was definitley the best shake I have ever had. We even brought home extra sauces from the shop. Anyone who is anywhere near here, absolutely needs to visit.

This is the most perfect restaurant!I love smokehouses so much but this is the best it can get.It is so convenient as it is next to the nature reserve with free parking.The food is outstanding here,it tastes so lovely and is so fresh.It is proper quality meat,I had the chicken wings and ribs combo.The chicken wings were so delicious had a really nice flavour and seasoning to them.The ribs were also really tasty too,i particularly liked the bbq sauce.The meat was so tasty and tender not hard either.The slaw was tasty and fresh.The sprites were so lovely and fresh too.The staff were so friendly,food came out exceptionally quickly,decor was fabulous and every option (except anything that has bread in it eg a burger)is gluten free.The toilets are currently portaloos.Would highly recommend!

Lovely setting (even in the pouring rain), welcoming and happy hosts, child and dog friendly and delicious food. Highly reccomend the mac and cheese side and anything involving the pulled pork or brisket.

Called in on way to our hotel for a short break. Having seen this on Rick Stein we were looking forward to trying it out and we were not disappointed. It was sadly a bit wet and windy but the friendly and efficient service and the gorgeous food more than made up for it. The burgers and sauces were excellent. It’s a great location for walking and our two dogs loved it. Car park gets busy and by midday Inkie’s was pretty busy too. But our food arrived very quickly and we loved it. Definitely will be back.

Was there 3 times last week whilst down for a holiday in the Cornwall area. Absolute gem of a place. Food was brilliant, with very generous portions, and cooked to perfection. The drinks are class as well, loved the thick milkshakes, and the hot chocolate with everything on it. I would have gone more often, but had to stop myself, but I will definitely go back next time I am down in this area, as still so much good food to try out in there breakfast and lunch menus. And good thing is if the weather is good, you can walk off what you've eaten with a walk around the Golitha Falls which is right next to it.

Before visiting make sure you have your eating trousers on 😂. The food is tremendous and comes in large portions. So many yummy dishes to choose from means I will have to revisit to try them.

Amazing! Brilliant! Just ashame we haven't found out about it earlier.. guys offered amazing service and food was just perfect. I only wish we would have a place like this next to us, I could have stayed for hours wrapped in the smell of smoke in the Cornish woods😋

Had my first breakfast here. Previously always been at lunch time. Food and friendly excellent as normal.

Ok food but would be so much nicer if it wasn’t over complicated, coleslaw was strange. Lovely milkshakes and coffees. Good service and lovely setting.

Oh my word what can I say about inkies smokehouse,amazing is one word the food the service the location all top noch,we have the Two specials that were on that day and they were so worth it some of the best smoked bellypork I've ever had the burger was so good and the ribs were very meaty,service was excellent we stopped off in the shop.and brought a jar of their very own bbq sauce 😋. We will be back inkies .

Inkies is about my favourite place to eat...its so unique and very popular food is amazing..portion sizes are huge and generous...always brilliant service... Happy 8th Birthday ladies....

Absolutely fantastic food, great service. The location is so beautiful, we ate the amazing smokehouse pork and ginormous brisket. Top Nosh! Wonderful restaurant next to the stunning Golitha Falls. We all loved it here.

Definitely going back if I am passing by again

We visited on a dull and damp Thursday afternoon after visiting Golitha falls. I ordered a strawberry and cream milkshake together with a dairy cow burger. The milkshake was absolutely delicious, so creamy, the nicest milkshake I have ever eaten. The burger came out shortly afterwards and oh my.... 2 quarter pounder patties with salad wedged in between a large soft bun. This burger was close to, if the nicest burger I have ever eaten in my life. It was absolutely stunning, beautifully cooked throughout. The prices were very reasonable and the setting was fantastic. Would be lovely in the summer 🌞 When I return to Cornwall, this place will be the first place I will visit for lunch. Top quality 🍔

What a place! Great food, friendly service and a unique setting. Will definitely be coming back! Only negative is the ordering system, had to wait in line for 30 minutes in the rain whilst my son sat alone at the table. This really could be improved. Still 5 stars though 👍🏻

This little smokehouse is incredible. It's the only place like it I know in this part of the UK and is well worth the trip. Great staff, great selection of food and drink and the atmosphere is perfect, would 100% recommend

What a wonderful place, the food is well prepared and served up in huge quantities. All the meats are packed with flavour and melt in the mouth. The staff are excellent and prices are extremely good value. We are so lucky to have Inkie's practically on our doorstep.

One of the best breakfast I had! And their own sauces are amazing! Meat is to die for! 🤩 service really great, everyone’s smiling and friendly! What else can you ask for!

Wonderful food after a chilly walk by the falls. Seemed a bit pricey upfront but portions and food quality made it worth every penny!

Our first attempt at visiting was unsuccessful as it was so busy. Our second attempt we realised it was worth the wait. Service was fast and efficient, and staff were friendly. Food was fab, tasted amazing and quality ingredients. We sat in the undercover area and loved the vibe it created.

All brilliant the location the walk nearby and the food is fantastic great service and the western Texas atmosphere is great! The staff are friendly and informative aswell a nice small shop aswell. Would recommend to anyone looking for something to eat around lunch-time to late breakfast times!

If you love slow smoked brisket then this place is a must! They really don't skimp on the portion sizes (please never change 😉) do you get a generous amount of meat. We were so full afterwards. The staff were super friendly and helpful and even on a wet day it's a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend to any lover of meat. Maybe not so great for vegetarians 😬

The food at Inkies is outstanding. We popped in after a lovely walk around Golitha Falls, where the dogs had a great time in and out of the water! Cooked overnight, the pulled Pork and Beef were both delicious with plenty of meat in the open baguette rolls. The slaw and salad were a bonus, but what l really liked was their homemade BBQ sauce - and l don't like BBQ sauce ......... Actually all the sauces were very good. The meat was beautifully tender and plentiful, l was in awe of the quantities given, probably why the queue was endless - but worth every minute of the wait. We were going to try the ice creams after but no room as we were pleasantly stuffed. Well done INKIES Smokehouse, you were well worth the visit. Thank You. We'll be back

A must off stop for any BBQ and hot sauce fans, also have an amazing selection that will keep the whole family happy.

Food and service good, although you will need to wrap up warm on a cold day, as part of it is open to the elements definately visit again do not hesitate to visit.

Wow! One of my best finds! Went on a damp and rainy day and still had a great time. The food was amazing loved the mac & cheese, beef brisket, and pulled pork rap, even took doggie bags back with us. The milkshakes were all delicious, especially the apple pie, if I had the space would have sampled them all.Almost forgot to take photos the food was so good. I want to say a big thank you to the owner for making me up a batch of her Carolina Mustard and if she had it, I would have taken a hot sauce too. Will be ordering all their sauces and moonshine from the website. I can see why they say get there early. Great value for money We will be coming back all the way from London!

The food was amazing, and the service was incredible, but I think they could get away with smaller portions. It was a lot to get through. I know that shouldn't be a bad thing, but I would say less is more in this case. I would have been tempted to try a few other things on the menu had the portions been a bit smaller. Again, it's a nice thing to complain about, but for the price as well, the portion seemed too much.

We thought enjoy the visit, food was lovely & plenty of it. We will be back again soon.

OMG I don't know where to start! My wife suggested we stop off at Inkies after a walk and I'm always up for trying new places. We arrived at half 3, and the staff were really friendly and happy to help as the weather was horrendous and they offered for us to sit inside. We ordered bap and warp and I was blown away. The food was delicious, so tender and delicious. This is a hidden gem and I'll be coming back time after time

Not my kind of place tbh. The meat was nice but a lot of fat. The bun was light n nice toasted. Never been coleslaw! Just cabbage with vinegar on! Open seating area outside with plastic corrugated roof. Best thing for me was all the wild birds ( which they supply feeders and seed for) and the kingfisher was a bonus! The toilets left a lot to be desired. Only ribs on Sundays.

Unfortunately for us we only had a breakfast as the main menu looks amazing, just means we'll have to go back one day to test the rest of the menu. Nice food in good surroundings, friendly service

Great quality food and huge portions to fill any meat lover. Great choice of menu it's hard to decide what to go for. Cow in a carpet was epic. Plenty of free parking but it does get busy (unsurprisingly) at a weekend lunchtime.

First time getting to experience Inkies Smokehouse BBQ! I’ve read some of their reviews and lots of different people were talking about how great it was so I decided to make the trip down to Golitha Falls from Devon. When I first arrived I got told to come back at 12pm and when I did those smells of the smoker were getting me amped up! So I went for their wood stack bap which was filled with beef brisket and pulled pork which had both been smoked for over 20 hours along with some of their carolina slaw and on the side I got their rib and turkey wing combo! 1. The wood stack bap with beef brisket, pulled pork and carolina slaw - 9.5/10 At first glance it was humongous! I tried their beef brisket on its own first and that first bite of it was exquisite! it felt like the meat just disintegrated entirely in your mouth with all of those juicy flavours and I could not believe it! after all this time in wanting to try out beef brisket this was just a phenomenal experience. Their pulled pork was simply devine! I tried the bap with some of their carolina slaw inside it and the vinegary combination with the meat was outstanding! every bite I had of that bap was just full of those succulent meat juices just hitting at the back of your throat (DADDY!) I even tried it with some of their special house sauces which was their epic bbq, smokey hot bbq, carolina mustard and carolina vinegar and honestly this was the best food experience I’ve ever had in 2023! 2. Rib and wing combo - 8.5/10 I tried one out of their two rack of ribs after having the bap and I kept the other rack for when I got home, the taste of those ribs were delicious! the amount of sauce ratio on them were perfect my only criticism is that I wish the meat had just fallen of the bone abit more easily but other than that the flavours, the meat texture and the smokiness of those ribs were the best ribs I’ve ever had! their turkey wing was ginormous! I tried a few bits of it and then decided to take it home and carve it all up. I was pretty impressed with this turkey wing they retained their meat juices and the kick from the spiciness of that meat rub all together it was very nice! My overall rating of this food experience at Inkie’s Smokehouse BBQ I would give it a high score of 9.5 out of 10, it was well worth the drive down from Devon and I would happily wait in a 10 minute line to get this again!

What a place!!! fantastic food, lovely staff and the decor is soo cool ... although can get a little cold and wet when the heavens opened as it did for us.

I'm a little spoilt as I have experienced true Texas BBQ across Dallas and Fort worth so I was excited to try this place whilst on our drive down to Cornwall for a week. (Visited on a Saturday in mid September) Car park was packed but we managed to get a space. We joined the queue and a menu was passed around and decisions were made. 40 minutes later and we're still in the queue (usually much quicker in Texas, but they're cooking on a much larger scale). Nearly an hour passed and we finally got to place our order and find a seat under cover as the weather turned. The internet connection there seems iffy so if the card machine goes down this delays everything massively. Your food order is then passed onto the kitchen team by what looks like an Amazon Alexa, your order is shouted across and you can only hope they heard it properly. A bizarre set up when such EPOS machines exist that will talk to one another electronically which are a lot more accurate. Once food is ordered it arrives pretty quickly, I had the beef brisket with BBQ sauce and my partner had a beef wrap (cow in a carpet). My beef brisket although moist, had no flavour. Without the BBQ sauce it would've been very underwhelming rather than just underwhelming. My partner's wrap was honestly no better than one you can buy from a supermarket, which upsets me to say after all the hype about the place, we were both excited but took one bite, looked at one another and just let out a sigh. It didn't hit the spot. I think the hype is really helping them at that moment, but the place needs a lot of work. I hope they get there.

Dropped in Saturday, now I have worked in the USA and eaten quite a bit of BBQ and hear many reviews on smoked meat and Texas BBQ with merits of different styles and vendors. What I will say is this beats any I have tried before and that has been a few. Well done, the brisket was great and my partners pulled pork was also excellent, and the Carolina Slaw is the perfect match (not creamy and sweet). There was four accompaniments on the table, Spicy BBQ, our favourite, Carolina Vinegar, BBQ (sweet and Smokey) and Carolina Mustard. Will definitely visit again when back this way.

It was a cold but sunny day so the huge portions were very welcome. Great spot and extremely tasty.

Couldn’t wait to visit as heard so much about this place. We travelled from Brecon, Wales and the visit was well worth it. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly even though they were very busy. The food was fantastic; well worth the visit.

This is a great place to walk the pooch. Parking and use of the toilets are free Inkie’s just ask that you support their business in return. Well we couldn’t resist, the smoke house smells amazing from the car park! We had a Mississippi Baguette & Wood Stack Bap, the portion sizes are big, and the food incredible. There are lots of well trodden paths around the falls, we went on a blustery day and were fine with a cagoule and trainers.

What an amazing place! We saw this on a Tom Kerridge programme and was tempted to try it. Wonderful experience and great food. Service was quick in spite of many orders being cooked. Had to bring home "doggy" boxes as the portions were enormous.

Travelled 250 miles from Kent. Great restaurant, amazing food, lovely friendly staff. Worth every penny.

Firstly this is constructive and not malice in any way. Been dying to get here after the hype so me and hubby trekked to Inke’s (it is in middle of nowhere) and first thing i notice is it looked a little run down and quite shabby. I know its a smokehouse not a 5* restaurant but hey! The toilet blocks were closed for maintenance and porta toilets, were disgraceful and smelly, the rain didnt help either. ALSO Looking at reviews on trip advisor, i noticed on some reviews as far back as Feb 23 said the toilet block was closed, so i am appalled the porta Toilets still there and near to the cabin, they were truly awful especially the disabled one. The smell of the cooking food was heaven, my husband had the Kansas burger i had the Mississippi . Hubbies was to die for it was fab, mine for £12.50 was a let down with a small piece of brisket but was cooked wonderfully but boy was not worth it. There was no choice of bread mine was a white baguette to which was told that’s all they do, I’m allergic to white bread so it made me bloat and sneeze so gave to hubby. We had sides of potato salad it was tasty but small portions for cost, and the pit beans were a joke, big bowl but boy wish i had taken a photo the amount looked like what was left of a portion not the actual portion and was nearly all liquid I couldn’t find the beans but what little i had was tasty, but again not worth the price. I should of complained. The staff and service was excellent and couldn’t be more helpful, but in all fairness I think this little gold mine is going strong on the hype rather than the value content.

As always absolutely lovely . We have been many times and never disappointed even the day we went when the smoker had gone wrong we still had good food there. Don’t expect frills it’s the way the do their thing and if you don’t like it the ain’t gonna change . It’s as described and delicious

Strolled around golitha falls. Got back to the car park at 10am. Had some sublime coffee and delicous breakfast in the outdoor seating area, rain hammering the tin roof, watching the birds on the feeders. Staff all friendly and attentive. A lovely end to a rather magical walk. If you're and early riser you'll miss the rush.

It’s always been a passion of mine to try the deep South smoke house barbecue, so when I found out from the television programme, there was one 20 minutes from my house, I decided that’s it. I’m there for lunch, we queued to place our order for about 40 minutes And both decided on the 20 hour smoked cow brisket burger, it was everything I hoped and imagined it would be. The brisket was beautifully and tender. The dry rub on the outside, gave it deep flavours. The smokiness succulent tender meat was fantastic. the slaw was nice and sharp, and crunchy to add a bit of texture plus cut through the richness and succulent beef fat running down the brisket, it was fantastic. The portion was big plentiful I had to have a little rest halfway through could not be happier with the food. It was a bit of a wait but it’s cooked to order with a lot of the dishes But once the order was placed service was friendly quick and helpful will definitely be going back to try the slow smoked pork which also looks amazing. I will be spending quite a lot of time at this wonderful smokehouse as the flavour of their food was fantastic, it’s right next to a lovely reservoir so you can take the kids on their bikes they can cycle round on a good path you can walk the dogs and take them into Inkie’s. It’s all pet friendly there’s a reasonable car Park But get there early as it does fill up fast so if you ever wanted to try that beautiful slow smoked flavour from the deep south America, you haven’t got to jump on a plane to try it. Just pop along to Inkie’s if you’re down their way and enjoy such wonderful slow smoked flavours.

Fantastic place. Very busy and staff wonderful. Very youngest member of staff so polite. First aid trained staff member dealt with a gent suffering from the heat. They worked so hard to provide an excellent service. Vegetarian burger was scrumptious.

A real Texan feel to the place, with big burgers, beef brisket and pulled pork. Cajun, BBQ or unspiced, Mac and Cheese, corn etc. Car park was very full and had to wait for someone to leave. Great place to start or end with a walk down the Golitha falls

Wow. Line out the door! People must know how great this place is. Had a mint chocolate chip and oreo milkshake which was made with so much real ice cream I can't remember a better shake. Potato salad was just right. Had a big burger which was easily 2 meals! Even my bottomless pit of hunger teenager could not eat the whole burger! Get there early to get the BBQ smoked meat sandwiches because they actually sell out if you can believe it! Seating is picnic style outdoor and indoor. Kids and dogs friendly. Guessing 15 tables. Walking paths to a waterfall just outside.

We discovered Inkie's last year when we visited Cornwall. We were super impressed by the food and we were hesitant to write a review as we wanted it to be our secret. We visited again this year for breakfast. I had the delicious blueberry pancakes. They are the lightest, tastiest pancakes I have ever had. Truly delicious ..... ummm :-) My husband had the sausage patty which he absolutely loved. It was super tasty and the hot sauce blew him away. It was on point. All of the staff are super friendly and even remembered us from the year before and thanked us for returning! Now that's what I call service. Sadly we were geared up to visit again on our last day but it was closed. Inkie's we love you. Please stay true to yourself and keep up the good work.

We made the stop on route to our holiday after seeing it on tv. Great location but very busy. We unfortunately did not get any smoked meat as they had run out (thought is was a bit early to sell out) but that’s the type of place it is as when you cook something for 20 hours you always risk the chance of running out. Get there early if you want to guarantee getting some. That being said the burgers looked amazing and the hotdogs tasted great. Sorry did not take any photos.

This place definitely deserves the good reviews. There is a great selection of milkshakes and hot drinks here. I enjoyed the chai latte with soy milk. The food is also top notch with delicious garlic mushrooms and a halloumi burger, perfect for vegetarians as well as a selection of smoked meats for meat eaters to enjoy. Staff were great. I definitely recommend this place.
