First time in this restaurant with 5 couples and we were not disappointed, the food was amazing with good size portions and good quality food, the wine was a reasonable price and the service was excellent, this place is worth a visit and a big call out to Wendy who gave great customer service. Love it

Not your normal run of the mill Chinese restaurant.some very unique dishes on the menu .I could eat there every day it’s that good and always try a new dish . You can tell it’s note worthy by the fact it’s packed with Chinese students who will definitely know good home cooked style food ..all in all an excellent experience.

The boss has a very bad attitude, ignoring the waiting guests and treating White and Chinese differently. Discriminating against Asians. But the boss herself is Chinese. Never go again.

First time visit for a birthday meal..walk past regularly and always smelt fantastic. Very friendly staff, big portions, quick preparation time for food and a range of vegan and vegetarian options. Food was delicious and lots of traditional Chinese dishes beyond the usual takeaway dishes. Highly recommend- will be back.

Good food slightly chaotic organisation

Been meaning to eat here for a while, always busy. Called in for lunch and managed to get a table for my wife and I. Infusion has a great diverse menu from your standard Chinese fare to dishes you would never think of. We ordered King Prawns for starters and were superb. I’ve never sampled Frogs Legs since a visit to Paris several years ago and here they are on the menu, so ordered the iron wok frogs legs in chilli oil, wow portion size was fab and really enjoyed the dish. Will be returning in a couple of weeks time.

It’s one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Newcastle. Their dishes are mostly northern home dishes, a bit oily and saucy but very tasty. You can find various options on their menus, no matter you are a vegan, vegetarian, gluten free eater, you c an always find some perfect dishes for yourself. However, their portion is big, but not every dish is good quality. Some of them tend to be too blend or too salty, sometimes the meat is too chewy. Once you find which ones are their the most Chinese dishes, then just stick to it. They can serve fast but not with a very friendly attitude. The other good thing about this place is it’s totally family friendly, because they have big tables which can sit around 6-10 people I think. Overall, it’s worth going.

Best Asian restaurant I've ever tried in Britain so far.

Food was so delicious. Staff were exceptional - they were so friendly and helpful. The menu was extensive and seemed uthentic if I judge the people who were in the restaurant at the tiime. There were only 2 downsides - the toilets weren't very clean which was not a nice sight mid-meal. Also they charged for the takeaway containers and bags, I understand they need to do this but they should have mentioned this charge as we could have just put everything into one container/bag.

Me and my friends absolutely loved it. The restaurant is laid out beautifully, nicely decorated with spinning marble tables. As were not natively Chineese, we were unsure of what dishes were similar the ones from a chinese takeaway. But without even asking the waitress came over offering help and support!!!! She was SO lovely. Although pricey, the food was extremely worth it. My friends and I got a little bit of everything and shared so I can tell you for certain the food is unreal. You can even use knives and forks if the chopsticks aren’t for you. Seriously cannot recommend going enough from the staff service, to the wait time (15 mins max!!!!) and most importantly the food. So so lush.

The food is amazing. I’ve never had Asian food like it. The service is always warm fast and friendly. I could not recommend this place enough. The inside is beautiful and the prices are affordable. Definitely a regular place to eat for us.

Visited last night for the first time. We had the charcoal lamb ribs and a pressure cooker dish. Food was so tasty and extremely filling. Lovely atmosphere and made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be going back and recommend to others.

Where to begin, I've wanted to try this restaurant for so long and did yesterday and im just gutted i havent been sooner. The food is so authentic, its like a little slice of China in Newcastle. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us straight away, it was busy so the lovely woman cleaned the table of the group that had just left, for us. I can see a couple of bad reviews by English customers but don't be deterred, I put this down to poor palettes or just pure ignorance. You won't get your bog standard Chinese takeaway type food here, so if that's what you want, go to China Town! This is the real I am, authentic Chinese food packed full of flavour, an array of different dishes with some exotic ingredients like chickens feet, tripe and frogs legs. You can hear the busy kitchen as they knock out dish after dish. I find it very comforting when the clientele is native of the cuisine, it just goes to show its home from home in my opinion. I will be returning to get my fix! Give it a try, it will not disappoint!

Excellent service, with an authentic menu, including some classics. Something for everyone. Starters were Hot & Sour soup, chicken satay and veggie dumplings. Mains were chicken katsu curry and rice, braised beef noodle soup and house special hot pot. Portions were huge, so tasty, good quality and excellent value. Will definitely recommend.

I assume that’s when it opened, which means I spent a good few years missing out! So I’ll get to the point, it’s the best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle! It’s an actual Chinese not a glorified takeaway as you would find many of on Stowell street (hello Landmark!) We went mental and had far to much but I didn’t regret it for a second! All the staples of a good Chinese, spring rolls, dumplings, braised pork belly, Szechuan beef etc. all top draw stuff! It’s a simple place with not a lot of frills but I quite like that. No pretence and it lets the food do the talking! Not just one of my favourite Chinese but one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle!

Visited on 20 Nov 2022 at 7pm. My friend had eaten here before, so he ordered for the table. We had the Sizzling Bullfrog Leg, Stir-fried Pig Intestines, Sliced Fish and Pickled Cabbage Soup and Sauteed Spicy Cauliflower with Pork Belly. All really good dishes. The best dish would have to be the frog leg as it was juicy and flavourful. The food didn't take a long time to arrive, and the staff were pretty attentive. Not too crowded too on a Sunday evening. Would definitely go back again for these dishes specifically.

Good authentic cuisine, there is also a more western-like version of Chinese cuisine for who prefers. The service is great. quick and kind. I enjoy dining there once in a while, the amounts are usually very satisfying and good to share with friends. The atmosphere inside is calm and quiet as well, makes sitting inside enjoyable, noise is usually minimal. If you are are interested in trying authentic Chinese food, this will be a good choice.

I used to live in Newcastle and next to this restaurant. I currently live in London. One of my main incentives for visiting Newcastle again was this place. Having had an array of different Chinese cuisine in London, I can assertively claim that Infusion is one of the best restaurants across the UK. My only complaint? A few years back, the Chongqing noodle soup was one of my favourites, partly because how nice and spicy it was. The soup has become much milder, which while it may appease the British, it has lost its flavour.

Visited this place several times. Service is good and efficient. Does not take long for food to arrive. The food is really nice, coming from the East, I would say it is quite authentic. Good flavoring. Dishes I’d recommend include: 1. Slow cooked spare ribs with potato and carrot 2. Teriyaki sizzling beef fillet The environment is rather Eastern flavor as well and it is clean. 3. Deep fried crispy pork slices in sweet sauce - Beijing style 4. Stir fried shredded potato The environment has an eastern flavor as well and it is clean. Overall, good Chinese restaurant with good portion, quality and price.

Omg that was bad, the price the taste and service. Ordered beef teriyaki was chewy and overpriced, starters were basic avoid at all costs. Go chill padi for tasty food or Chinatown express for value for money if your not from Newcastle. Never written a review ever but this really was BAD. So many better places in Chinatown and soho/chilli padi yards away are so much better. I only hope you are not reading this after eating here. Avoid like the plague. Pice for the quality of food really shows.

Very basic food standard at most. Given the wrong main which had tripe on it ( pretty vulgar to someone who doesnt eat this). My main Coconut King Prawn was sadly, the worst food ive had. It can only be described as coconut flavoured chalky - paste/custard with donut-style deep fried king pawns. The egg fried rice portion was huge, overkill, and a little too moist. It may have been rushed after sending out the wrong dish possibly. Over £40 spent on a very basic meal which felt like chip shop standard. The only thing in their defence was all other tables food looked very nice. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Tried it once accidentally and kept coming back for 3 days in a row! Very tasty food with big portions at great prices. Tried 7 different dishes so far and all of them were 10/10 (I also love spicy dishes). Family run business, staff is lovely, especially the older lady as she always makes us feel very welcome every time we come in. Would definitely recommend.

Hello, Very upset yesterday, i was sick twice. Ordered the vegetarian hotpod as a delivery for our new years meal and as i was eating it i found Kalamari in it. I was sick all night, so upset since i really like eating at your restaurant. Please please please when someone orders a vegetarian dish take it seriously.

Excellent menu there is something on there for everyone, the food was delicious and plenty of it The staff are welcoming friendly. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return. We ordered beef in spicy szechuan sauce, chicken with three cups sauce (ask for boneless), chicken with ginger and spring onions, chilli salt and pepper King prawn and egg fried rice and we couldn't fault any if it.

My wife and I visited there a few weeks ago. We couldn't believe how good the food was and is certainly the best Chinese restaurant we've been to. The waiting staff were great too and I want to make special mention of 'Windy.' She made us more than welcome and we'll be sure to return.

We walked past the place by chance as I never knew it existed. Some dishes are halal as well, as they even told us what butchers they shop from. The service is very good, the lady is really nice too. Would like to come again.

Just left here and appauled by the customer service, had to flag her down for drinks only ordering a water gave us a dirty looks cos we didn't order the food, we notices the ables were dirty so mum wanted to go wash her hands after she came out we thought we didn't actually like the menu so we decided to leave and told her we were going and as we were leaving we saw her slagging us off too two of the customers so I went back in and asked her what she had just said and she started arguing with us telling us she gave us hot water and let us use the toilet. What an earth is this service very nasty woman. Put off

Granted, this restaurant has dishes you won’t find from your average Chinese takeaway, but it’s way too overpriced. Mains don’t come with rice, and they charge £10 for the simplest of dishes, like broccoli with garlic — which is exorbitant. If it weren’t for the crazy high price tag, I’d recommend getting food from here, but alas...

I'm always in search of decent Chinese food wherever I am in the world. Came here with a friend who thought it was authentic but wanted me to confirm it. I checked the menu out and it looked liked it should be. We came for lunch to confirm it. I ordered the steamed chicken in chili oil which is served cold. This may sound strange for the Western palate but its delicious. It's quite spicy and don't wear light colored clothes in case you spill food down yourself. Also be aware some of the chicken is on the bone. I was in charge of ordering so ordered the french beans with minced pork (veggie alternative also available), seafood with salted duck egg and mixed seafood with crispy noodles. All were good and I introduced my friend to dishes which she wouldn't have ever ordered. It's all about spreading the knowledge! Service was good too! It's near St James' Park and not in the main Chinatown area.

Wow, so much choice we had never tried before. It was so busy, but the staff didn't ignore you. Our party of 4 had all different starters and mains for each to try. Not all served at the same time (very like in Thailand) but it was all delicious. Will definitely be back to try something else 😁

Place is as amazing as always! After such a long time, I came back today as part of the eat out help out scheme. Their food is as delicious as usual. No matter what I ordered, it is always good. Great service. Generous portions. Everything is always good here.
