Indos in Dundee City

Best to eat in here. The amtosphere is beautiful, so relaxing and the service was great. Food was unbelievable. The best bit for me was the ratio of sauce/rice/naan. Good amount of rice. Plenty of sauce. Overload of naan so you can enjoy the curry and you’ve got plenty of naan to dip in to your sauce for dessert. Amazing

Had a lovely meal as part of the Itison deal. All food was really fresh and tasty, portion sizes really good.

Cracking food. All delicious. As a party of 6, we ordered 2 popadoms, half a rice and a naan each. Way too much food. But nonetheless delicious. Just felt awful at the amount of food we didn’t eat despite our best efforts.

Absolutely horrendous experience! * Both curries were saturated with oil/ghee, to the point there was more oil than curry. *There was one King Prawn in the Nawabe and the chicken was dry (described as a chicken & king prawns) *The lamb staff curry of the day was more potato than lamb. *Pakora’s were bone dry; meat samosa appeared like the mini frozen ones & tasteless (like the frozen party pack you get) & Pakora sauce/ spicy onion was sickly sweet. * Soggy wet naan bread * Then to top it all off a sharp shard of plastic was discovered in one of the curries! For the price of the premium meal for two, we didn’t expect such abysmal quality nor confronted with a health hazard. No acknowledgment from restaurant/ offer of compensation. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

The menu was varied and non-standard. The Manchurian was an exquisite mix of Indian and Chinese. Always try something different is my advice and this restaurant didn't disappoint. The Peshwari Naan was quite honestly the best I've ever tasted. £55 for two of us, including drinks. Happy days 🙂

It’s so nice to see a restaurant with most of the same staff as it had about 18 years ago. The staff were prompt in taking our drinks & food order and we didn’t wait long for our food. The food was all amazing. The restaurant was busy and had a lovely atmosphere. It was a great place to catch up with friends and I will definitely be back

Excellent meal here. First visit but will certainly be back! I had the green herb chicken curry and it was great, really packed with flavour.

Got the south Indian garlic Chilli chicken . Garlic nan . Mixed pakora . Popadoms and all the sauces . Plus the onion chutney . Absolutely amazing food . This place is a must try. delivered to door all fresh and pipping hot . 🔥 Excellent defo 5 stars 🌟

First visit since the new owners took over and probably the last. The new menu is horrendously overpriced. The pre-theatre menu was £18.95 and is now £24.95; the full menu has also increased in price drastically. A pint of lager has gone up by £2, and a white coffee is priced at £4.95, which is probably the most expensive coffee in Dundee. Yes the food was good, plenty of it and well presented, but not really any better than it was before. The service was good, and I felt bad not leaving a tip, but they really need to reduce their prices by a considerable amount. There were only three tables in at 8pm on a Thursday night, the quietest I have ever seen it. At these prices it will not last long. I fully expect that it will be forced to close in the New Year.

We were there on 6th November. Great welcome, varied menu, fantastic food and great service. Our meal finished with a complimentary Limoncello. A lovely evening.

Nice last minute meal, lovely meal I wasn't paying so I can't talk about the price. Meal was good , service was fantastic and we had a friendly staff greeting us.

This is the 1st time we've been back to this restaurant since Covid. Cannot praise this restaurant high enough. Staff were so friendly, food so tasty. If you are ever in Broughty Ferry area you have to try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Wow. Where do I start. Staff were friendly, attentive and great to chat to. Food was amazing, tried the salmon in a curried gravy and chicken tika piayza. Both were very good . Then we were treated to a sample dessert and free lemon liquor 😋. We will be back

We are a large group 37 people from the Calcutta Muffussil and have just had a fabulous banquet. Staff were excellent,service too excellent and great value too. We have already booked for March next year. Not many restaurants would have opened Sunday lunchtime for us. We'll done Indos 10 stars!!

Phoned in order for 2 Tandoori Chicken meals plus 2 Naans, received a phone call saying there was a problem with the Naan but it had been sorted. Meal arrived ( great delivery driver) no Tandoori Chicken or Naans, received plain chicken that had never seen the inside of a Tandoor plus 2 undercooked Chapatis instead of the Naans.No explanation, was the Tandoor broken or Chef missing? So very disappointing

Ok so all of our 3 dishes (2 sides and a chicken madras) and the peshwari naan tasted very good. Service was friendly. Sides were ok price. The chicken main had 6 small pieces if chicken. Less than half a breast. For £14… come on! The rice was £4 for a portion that wouldn’t feed a midget. Come on! Rice costs essentially nothing to the restaurant… to charge this for steaming a quarter cup is disgraceful. Soft drinks at £4 a pop… for 330ml??? Come on! A zero beer 330ml for £4… that’s £7 a pint for non alcoholic beer. I’m from London… even proper beer hasn’t got to £7 a pint even in the big smoke. So I don’t get it. The chef can obviously cook, the sides are reasonable value, so why take the p*** on rice, drinks and mains?

Best meal I've had in ages - my new favourite place.

Honestly, we were blown away. It's an unassuming little restaurant that packs a big punch with quality, service, presentation, and class. Plates prior to the food brought out were hot. My husband got the lamb dhansak, myself the korma. Both dishes were very good. We also got the peshwari naan and pilau rice. Both were very tasty. The only criticism I could give us the rice serving was smaller than we were expecting but was tasty. People sitting next to us had sizzling plates brought out on cast iron plates straight from the oven. The smell was divine. If anyone asks where we're going for curry next - it'll be this place. Can't speak highly enough about the experience.

We went to Indos for my birthday tea for the first time in a few years. When I went previously I was really impressed and was looking forward to getting back. Sadly though I was left disappointed. I ordered the mix tandoori grill. Chicken tikka, lamb tikka, sheesh kebab, king prawn tikka and chicken tandoori. What more can a lad want for his birthday tea? Well tasteful food for a start. The chicken tikka was just incredibly tasteless. I’ve seen some pictures from other reviews where the chicken tikka is the bright red we all know and love. This was more white. It was really disappointing. The lamb was over cooked. The tandoori chicken lacked spice. And I wasn’t able to give an accurate opinion on the prawns, sorry I should say prawn, as I was only given one. Really disappointing especially after I remember it being so good. Chillies in Carnoustie is much better. Won’t be back
