Indian Times in South Lanarkshire

Arrived at the restaurant & seated 15 minutes before the pre theatre ended, ordered a drink & provided with the menu which included the pre theatre. Waited 10 minutes to order, the place wasn’t busy but we felt we were left longer than normal in an Indian restaurant. This took us just past 4pm when the pre theatre ended. Ordered off the pre theatre menu, to then be told 5 minutes after we ordered that the order could not be fulfilled as it was passed 4pm. The table beside us ordered their food precisely 30 seconds prior to us off the pre theatre menu which wasn’t an issue. As we sat in the building & were presented menus 15minutes before the cut off time to be told this was embarrassing. We left immediately & will not be back. Neither will anyone associated to us as we do not support business who rip the piss our customers

First time in this restaurant. Went with a large group of fellow walkers for a pre Xmas meal. Food was fantastic. Well presented and delicious. Service was excellent and unobtrusive. Will certainly return.

Good meals for good price, nice staff. Toilets need a deep cleaning. Cobwebs are everywhere 🕸️ You also need to wash the cutlery more thoroughly.

A group of friends visited here for a catch-up. Food delicious, so we kept a doggy bag (at the end of the table to take and informed the waitress that we wanted to take it home). The delivery knocked our food to the ground and no offer to replace it. The new waitress hung about at the end of the table and made us feel uncomfortable, so we told her it was fine to leave us. As for food it was great and it is a really popular place.

Have had excellent food and service from Indian Times before. But ordered tonight via Just Eat - order was accepted, and payment taken, then two minutes later was cancelled by the restaurant. No explanation, no apology. Really poor customer service...

Lovely food every time. Always use them for home delivery or a night out for a meal. Great service.

Was out for birthday last night with daughter food was wrong order mixed up eventually settled for korma instead of Tika korma service horrendous no one willing to take responsibility asked for snow flake dessert given something else asked what had been put down to me was told by girl I will ask turned out they put down ferro rocha I'm allergic to nuts drink wasn't even put on table with us explained to manager at till as was still getting charged for tika korma he deducted price difference of 2£ something and sent on our way as if hey just pay up called tonight to try and get apology and explain how I felt was told I deducted money for tika and so he should have as I didn't receive it anyway what a disgrace will not recommend this resurant as as m.uch as I always loved the food I felt let down and I could have eaten the dessert which I would certainly ended up in hospital or worse and not an apology.

My starter was okay chili chicken, it was chicken pakora tossed together with a sauce,,, my garlic chili chicken main wasn't up to much 5 small pieces of chicken in a bowl of sauce , there was more chicken in the starter,, chapati breads weren't fresh,, they were tough.

Called in for lunch today 21st Dec , We were very disappointed with the service , ordered drinks when we arrived and had to ask 3 times to have them brought to our table lunch was ok only had 2 course which took over an hr to serve even though the place was not busy so we didn’t bother with the third course , the building was very cold and most people were sitting with there jackets on, happy to get home and try to get a heat in my body .

Needs a good clean and at £3.75 for a soda water we won't be back. On the plus side the meal was lovely.

This is a little gold mine, food is amazing its freshly made and comes out piping hot. Curries are delicious and so was the chicken pakora. Absolutely amazing value for less than £7 per person for lunch. Will definitely be back and visiting many more times. It's by far the best chicken Rogan Josh I have ever tasted. My husband had the chicken Baltic and that was great tasting too. Staff always there on hand and very kind when serving. I just wish I had visited before I did because we will be back many more times in the future ❤

Fresh hot tasty food at reasonable prices

A very relaxed place. There were two set choices of lunch: business or executive. For an extra pound you have far more choices with the executive, but there is the main menu too, should you prefer that. Fantastic value. The portion size of the mixed pakora with pink sauce as a starter was just right. We had two medium portions of two different curries with a shared portion of both rice and a big garlic naan. The naan was superb. The best I've ever tasted. It was thin and delicate. You'd nearly eat one of these on its own!

First time I've had a takeaway from here. Excellent.

Had a brilliant night, came here with 8 of my friends and we had some lovely cobra pints, before indulging in some korma, pakora and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of chips and rice. Had a slight issue as my Korma ended up on the carpet. Service was brilliant and loved my free mints at the end. Only issue was the threatening manner of paying the bill, and was nearly forced to sell my retro Chelsea top to fund for my 5 chips and 5 rice's and nan breads. Overall food was lovely and would visit if the shop could organise a minibus to take us home rather than using the duster. P.s I was wearing my Incredibles undergarments

Started off great, pakora was lovely and fresh and we enjoyed it. The korma was also very nice and we got what was left in a doggy bag, but the jaipuri was way too salty, I was forcing myself to eat it but gave up before the end. Mentioned it to the waiter but no apology. Charged the full whack, sorry no tip. Also, we had a table of 4 came in behind us, all in their 20s, not one of them were wearing a mask, no questions asked.

Heard great things about Indian Times, kept meaning to try it. Has to be by far the worst curry I've had. Hate leaving critical reviews, least like to find some positive about it but struggling.

First time back since lockdown. What a great meal for the 5 of us. Overdosed on spicy onions and Tandoori Chicken. Just as good as I remember. Glad to be back.

Ok for a cheap lunch but overall wasn't impressed - suppose you get what you pay for

Won't be ordering again from here again. We have now been waiting over 2.5 hours for our delivery. Absolutely no communication from restaurant or notification through just eat that the delivery was going to be late. Shame as can't fault the quality of food but it's unacceptable to wait that long.

Order food on behalf of my mum for dads birthday as they love going to the restaurant but take away was not same got told 30 min was nearly hour and 30 so when got the food was cold but was nice once had heat it back up .

Went for a takeaway and turned as soon as I got there. There seemed to be a large group function on, crammed in like sardines. Waiters sweating like pigs, the group leaning over each other. The decor was tatty, it was dark and not very inviting. It certainly looked like a place that's had its best days and is not abiding to regulations as other places are. The food? Who knows.. And I don't think I will. I don't think I would even go in if we were living in a normal world!!!

Not a great venue - dark and not clean! Menu was dirty, walls etc are dirty. Starter of pakora - batter was too thick and over-cooked. Main meal - chicken was over-cooked and we got the smallest portion of rice I’ve ever seen. Naan bread was good. Won’t be back!

Been here a few times with friends now and the food is always nice staff very nice and friendly 👍

Attended this restaurant last week food was fine although social distancing does not seem to be in place waiter walked about with a mask on although it never at any time covered his nose even during service then another waiter appeared look like a manager? He never had a mask never mind wear one some people maybe OK with this but not for me after being locked up for so long I will not be back these people do not seem to care.

Went up for lunch (3 adults & 1 minor). Food decent however no social distance measurements in place at all. We were in up stairs area and all tables apart from 1. Bizarre during this crisis.

Quick service and reasonably priced for business lunch

I’d read great things about this place but when we went it was just ok.Not bad in anyway but from the 4 main dishes we ordered, I’d say 3 were pretty much the same and the biriani was nothing special at all.Would not say don’t go especially if it’s local to you but I won’t be in a rush to return.
