Indian Plaza in Eden

Collected a take away meal, have had many from here and they have always been good. The service is always good and was prepared quickly. Portion size is good, you could quite easily share a meal.

Absolutely superb cuisine, beautifully prepared. Very reasonably priced,with prompt service to boot. Portions were generous without being too much.. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and left sated....

Lovely fresh tasting food best takeaway I’ve ever had

Fantastic food cooked fresh and reasonably priced. Edit 2023 December. Whats happened???????? Food order wrong, order 2 rice one nan and 2 meals, got 2 nan ( cold and not even the one we ordered) one rice lukewarm and 2 different meals which tasted the same. No point ringing and complaining, couldn't get through plus drove and waited 45mins and the drive back 30mins. Whilst waiting for my incorrect order, so many take aways coming out and just sat on a table, lots of cold food no doubt . Sorry but you have lost the top spot.

I dropped in for a Thursday evening curry as was in Penrith. Lovely food, great service and great value for money. Well worth supporting this restaurant that has been consistently good for the many years I have been going here.

On holiday had a takeaway delivered it was excellent portion size huge prompt delivery food hot food value for money as we travel a lot we have had indian meals in many places this was one of the best 👌

Party of 16 on Sunday evening. We were able to phone in our orders and were served promptly with both our drinks and then our food orders. Throughly full with delicious food, we then headed back to Yorkshire very happy.

We have visited this restaurant several times over the years but this is our first visit since Covid. We absolutely loved it. We had a variety of meals between us and the food was amazing and plentiful and the service was superb and very friendly. This is without doubt the best Indian restaurant in Penrith. It’s great to see that it still going strong when so many of of other favourite eating place have closed down. Will definitely book again when we return later in the year. Thanks. WRB

Very tasty food - I had the Achari - which is not on every menu and was terrific. The venue is the ground floor of an old cinema. Well-recommended and reasonably priced.

Mixed platter for starters was luke warm at best. Main courses were that oily I'm suprised just stop oil weren't protesting outside. Room very cold. Oh and a glass of wine at £8.20 is scandalous.

We always get a take aways from here but this time everything was a lot more spicy then normal. Will gave to give a miss next time

Three of us visited on a Thursday evening and were really pleased with our choice. There was a Thursday special set price advertised but we went with a few choices from the main menu to share. The restaurant looks like its part of a cinema but its a separate area. Our food came after a short wait and was all delicious. We had poppadoms, three mains, rice, chips and naan and enjoyed all. Service was prompt and very polite staff. Would definitely go again if it the area.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal last night. We had papadams & 5 different pickles, then a main course each with a mushroom rice and peshwari naan to share. The quality of the food was excellent and very generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food. The waiters were efficient, friendly and chatty. Would highly recommend and definitely return if we come to Penrith again,

Came penrith on a business trip and was hungry, i asked some people which place would serve the best curry and most recommended Indian plaza. Absolute 10 10 restaurant here in penrith, Tremendous service and very polite staff. Ordered the Chicken Jalfrezi with garlic nan, Glad to say its by far the best dish I've had after a long time. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. With the restaurant being so big it is often lacking a bit of atmosphere. That doesn't stop us from going though. The food is very tasty authentic Indian cuisine. All the staff are great, chatty. The prices are keen too.

We came here on a Sunday night for a friend's daughters 16th birthday. The food was OK. My curry was very Bland, though. When we came to pay, the price was extortionate. The menu apparently had just been updated. So the prices advertised weren't correct....

They knocked £10 off our £40 bill, the best part was the chips and pint of cobra. Save your hard earned money for somewhere decent. We came in as part of a group booking. Cold building so make sure you have some light layers on. To be honest it felt like the priority of most of the staff was watching the football. After it took so long to get our order taken we then got to enjoy watching half the kitchen staff stand on the stairs and watch the football....wondering where our food was and why it was taking so long was not difficult to figure out! One of the bar staff and a couple of waitresses were decent. We had to pester to have our order taken, we had to pester them several times to get the bill which had an enormous overcharge on it! Why are you writing bills out by hand?! It isn't that expensive to rent/buy a POS system to simplify paying! We just wanted to pay and leave and felt like we were waiting for the football to end before they would bother! None of us will be rushing back here after fairly mediocre food, a lack of attentiveness and then after finally receiving the bill it having an extra £100 appear out of nowhere!

I got some take-away here recently, unfortunately it just wasn't up to par. Staff was rude, and we didn't get what we ordered. I ordered butter chicken, but there was no marsala in the dish and there was a lot of coconut, so I guess I got the wrong dish... Also the chicken was really dry. The naan however was splendid, so two stars because of the naan.

Very expensive, not even average. No atmosphere, possibly the most expensive Indian I've been too.

Much in line with other reviews, the food was fantastic BUT jeez how poor is the service in this place? Terrible, stinking attitude from the staff - with the exception of the girl behind the counter. Very rude, bordering on aggressive. Couldn’t wait to leave the place and left half of our food. We won’t be coming back, which is a shame because the food is actually very good.

Terrible attitude from the manager, very rude and no respect or courtesy to regular customers. Clearly he cannot understand how operating in this manner not only loses repeat business but drives customers to alternative curry houses in Penrith who provide a far better customer experience. Please do continue being rude and arrogant, as you will lose your business (deservedly so); the only sadness being the other members of staff who do provide a pleasant service (try learning from them?) to the customers will have to move on.
