Lamb was lovely, melt in your mouth but found them a bit stingy with the rice

Without question the best Indian restaurant I've eaten in. No pretensions just amazing food at incredible prices and the staff are just lovely.

Don't order a Pardesi whatever you do. You'll receive some orange/red yuch nothing like a Pardesi. Called and was told THEIR Pardesi is different ! Thankfully most other humans use a system where what you order in one place is pretty-much like the same thing you'll get anywhere else ! Not good.

Attended for birthday dinner not disappointed The family run business does not disappoint. The service was excellent The veg and mushroom pakora the best I've tried light to taste. Really friendly and helpful staff the food was truly amazing. If you’re looking for a good Indian meal in Partick this is the place to go. I was there with my daughter and 2 granddaughters before we went to the SEC Armadillo They had a great menu also a children’s menu which was perfect for my youngest granddaughter. First time here and can’t wait to go back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always fabulous - been visiting here for past 17 years , we’re from Aberdeen but each time in Glasgow we go here the food is always delicious,,, I had South Indian garlic chilli chicken wife korma Ceylonese ..,, it was Saturd evening around 7 pm and place was packed but owner got us 2 seats , staff are so friendly tgey always make time to chat and catch up with us , it’s been a family business for over 40 years it’s a must go to if in Glasgow

There are no words to describe how awesome this place is! Amazing family run business, incredible food, great atmosphere and superb service.

Reasons for giving one star 1 - Food was good except seekh kabab it was no taste at all of seekh kabab it was mashed stuffed kebab I was expecting the Afghan/Turkish cubic shaped Seekh Kabab no red sauce was provided. Brought later by requesting 2 times. Biryani was tasty but wasn’t explained that separate biryani sauce is there I and other guy taught it’s our friend’s order. Bad customer service from a rude waitress the other two were ok happy with panjabi one but she overreacted nice. The younger one recovered well from a bad communication she didn’t know what is halal meet or weather they do however senior picked really well the conversation from her mouth I know came in traditional clothes they were not very familiar. But diffidently the taller woman changed her tune while I was alone like literally she was shouting not asking she was rude. I have told and showed a message of what my brother wants she took it as word of mouth note but she didn’t make the order while my whole club colleagues got their delivery orders mine was even not noticed not ready. Came counter the tall rude senior lady was just to aggressive raising her voice intentionally said I have to give order now which will take 10-15 minutes missed my friends missed my bus and train treated poorly rudely will I become alone. Feedback to team please Miss communication/understandings treat customers fairly respectfully as your you have been treated respectfully and friendly try to be aware of loud tune shouting on customers not to be in imperative tune. Being professional friendly would make everything resolved. Plus a bit of extra room needed for table as the orders and friends were many for each long table. No apologies no respect no fairness the Takeway order was very bad. My brother is putting his review regarding the food. No visit needed again hopefully my feedback and review will make a bit contribution to your service and approach. Thanks

Booked a table for 13 family for husbands retirement ,,we used to take our 2 children here when they were young so it was great to be able to take the 6 grandchildren ,,staff as usual we're all lovely & attentive ,everyone of us loved the food 😋once again certainly not our last visit ☺️

Nice friendly staff but our vegetarian food was nothing special. Nice Dahl but some food colouring in our korma which seems a bit odd and old school. The place itself is also pretty old school which is fine but it could do with a bit of work on the general ambience. They hand calculated the bill and over charged us by £20. I’m glad we noticed but would recommend they use properly itemised bills. There are much better Indian restaurants nearby in my opinion.

We always took our 2 children here when lived in partick & have recently started to visit again food is lovely &,so much so we've booked a table for 13 for March ,& get taking the grandchildren now 💕,staff are always lovely & attentive , family run 😊

Went there to get dinner and as I went in with a grocery bag in my hand, one of the staff came out and asked me to wait in the lobby like area to place an order…which seemed weird to me because the entire place only had one person eating there with all the other tables being empty. So anyway, I waited to place an order in the hallway and then another staff came and asked if I was ready to order. After placing my order, I couldn’t help but ask why was I banished to the hallway while others were welcomed in (in the meantime, a group of 4 men were allowed to enter and have their pick at the tables). Only after I asked, she offered me a table. I overheard her later asking the other staff what went down and other staff said apparently she thought I said I was interested in takeaway (I didn’t say that to her, if I remember correctly.) anyway, I would’ve appreciated a proper apology as this incident made me feel little and almost ruined my night. I probably won’t be visiting again. The second star in the review is for the quality of food - which wasn’t bad.

I ordered the Orchard biryani via Justeat. Taste or quality is not bad but tastes nothing like a biryani. It's fine if you want to prepare less spicy food items but please don't put misleading names to such food items.

First time visit here and certainly won't be the last. Food was amazing, much better than Mr Singh's in taste, portion size and price wise. Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a great curry in Partick. Staff very welcoming from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Can't wait to return.

Quite simply the best curry house in the West End and possibly the whole of Glasgow. Staff are always friendly and very attentive when we eat in. The food has always been excellent whether dining in or take away. I'm blessed as I literally live 2 mins from this place so on lazy nights it's a phone call, 15 minute wait and we're fed, what's not to like.... If you've never tried it, give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Scott.

If you are looking for tasty food then look no further! This little hidden gem is a family run restaurant of 40 years!! I have lived locally for 7 years and only today found this place…. Where do I begin with my review…. Don’t be fooled when you first enter, it’s decor isn’t bright bold or brand new it’s immaculate but instantly cosy it’s warmth makes you feel comfortable and instantly welcome. Where to begin with the staff, warm friendly attentive and they have an amazing relationship with the returning customers who have clearly been coming for years, warm hugs at the door to customers they’ve not seen in a while…. A part of the community is the feeling you get when seated inside. THE FOOD!!! Seriously I’m a wimp when it comes to spice so I ask for my food to be mild in most Indian restaurants tbh it normally kills it….. tonight I got exactly what I wanted my food made milder but the taste was still tremendous. There is a reason this place is still here after so long. To whoever happens to read this review go along take the family take your first date…. you’ll not be disappointed and you’ll definitely be back. I can’t wait to return.

It's my local Indian restaurant and I've never been disappointed. Great fresh food from nice friendly staff every time I'm in. After lockdowns I always support my local pubs and restaurants . You know it makes sense.

Walking along Dumbarton Road on Saturday at 4pm we came across the Orchard restaurant, what great food and service we received. A family orientated venue. A great menu the choice was there for all ages and tastes. Catering for my one year old great nephew and five year old great niece perfectly. I had the mouth watering South Indian Garlic chilli with lamb, one of the best I've tasted, My sister had the chiclen bhona, which she said was lovely. My nephew choose the chicken chasni, suffice to say his plate was cleared and his wife had the chicken dish which she said was absolutely lovely. Hats off to the service and the staff who we chatted to for ages after attending the launch of my nieces Hairdressing Supplies Scotland business launch. Our family came lives in Coatbridge and Airdrie and we all agreed we would actually place a carry out order and drive in to collect it, the food was that good. Well done the Orchard Glasgow! Its a ten from Len ;))

The food is OK here, but the system of ordering takeaways is cockeyed and confused. First time we went in and ordered, saying we would be back in 20 minutes to collect the food and it was agreed. We went back and the food wasn't ready to be told they don't put the order through until you arrive and pay, that it only takes a few minutes to prepare the meal (note a few minutes to cook an Asian meal). Next time we went in, we ordered the meal and paid saying we would be back in 20 minutes to collect. That's fine, she said, she would put the order through in 15 minutes. We arrived 25 minutes later to be told it wasn't ready, meaning they would now prepare the meal. So it is useless ordering a takeaway meal in advance because the only start preparing the meal when you arrive to collect it.

Been a whe since been there as I live in Edinburgh but must say one of the finest will be back soon

I have used this Indian restaurant for years and the food is always pretty good. Recently though the prices have risen quite dramatically. I know inflation is making things more expensive but £1.50 for a chapati for example is unacceptable, hence after all these years I no longer use them. Shame.

Enjoy our starters BUT main courses were a big disappointment a very peppery taste and had a long wait for them to come to the table . Did complain , paid and left.

Went here last Saturday for a meal with my wife always walked past and said need to try and I'm so glad I did it was the best meal I've tried the chicken tikka meal with madras sauce was amazing as was everything else if u have never tried this wee restaurant you need to u won't be disappointed it didn't feel like a restaurant it felt like u were dining in your family's home everyone was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you will be back soon amazing wee place 😋👍

Just one of the best Indian restaurants you could ever have the pleasure of eating in , from the moment you walk through the door Roxy greets you with a really warm welcome and a big smile, as does her lovely sister, and chat’s away with you, I absolutely love going into a restaurant and it’s nice and warm, even right at opening time the restaurant is toasty warm inside, it feels like you’re eating in a close family member’s house it’s that friendly and intimate, food is always amazing, no matter what you order it’s always amazing, just like the service and ambiance, just such a fantastic place to eat and the atmosphere is always brilliant , what a fantastic family all with you in the restaurant chatting amongst themselves as you dine! Can’t praise this restaurant enough, fantastic authentic Indian top notch food, always freshly prepared and delicious, just one of the best places to eat in Glasgow bar none! 👍

I've been coming to this place for many years. After moving out of Partick, my friend and I decided to come back to have our traditional curry night out. After a few years, I was delighted to see the same friendly staff were still there and provided the same amazing experience we always had. Food is great, price is great, and you will not meet friendlier staff anywhere! I can't wait to get back again, and this time I won't be leaving it years between visits.

We went there last night, and had a great meal, served by very pleasant and efficient staff. The restaurant was simply decorated, and the toilets etc., were absolutely spotless. We have been away from Glasgow for a few years now, so this restaurant was new to us, but we are coming home to live here next year, and we will definitely be putting this “star” on our list of places to return to! Thanks to all who helped to make this a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Had another amazing curry tonight. Chicken Tilka Achari and the Lamb Biryani which where both delicious and melt in the mouth. Lovely fluffy rice too. Perfect combination of taste and flavour. Chef's really know their spicing and staff are always friendly and pleasant. Delivery drivers are also a credit to the IO as well. Keep up the great work guys ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ordered a takeaway from here Friday night, came on time, the curries and pakoras were lovely! good portions as well. Liked how you could pick the level of spice on the tikka bhuna.

Having checked reviews from a couple of sources before I ordered through Justeat I have to say I was rather disappointed with my food. The chicken in both the pakora and the curry I ordered was very tough. The pakora tasted like it had been cooked in oil that was very old. I ordered a Korma which I would expect to be mild but not completely tasteless. It wasn't inedible but really wasn't great and I definitely wouldn't order from them again. In response to the "owners reply" It wasn't that the meal "wasn't to my liking" it simply wasn't good and I would be surprised if it had been to anyone's liking. My wife took one bit of the pakora, ate half of it and wouldn't touch any more if it. I could have phoned the restaurant but I really don't see why I should have to. You could have gotten it right first time with good quality ingredients that were cooked well rather than putting the onus on me to solve a problem of your creation Just saying something was cooked fresh doesn't mean its any good and to be honest I saw very little evidence that it was.

Decided on a last minute meal with my partner, found this place by chance and we are glad we did. Food was lovely from starter to main Staff where very attentive and welcoming Not overpriced like other places considering the quality of food Will definitely...

Just had a lovely night out with my husband at the Indian Orchard. The flavours are like stepping back in time, the way you remember Indian food. The naan bread was so fresh and perfectly complimented the Curries. Portions are generous so I’m finishing mine...

Having walked from Charing Cross along Sauciehall St and Argyle St I did pass just a few chi chi Indian restaurants and maybe 60 Chinese/Korean places before choosing this pleasant family run restaurant. It seems the ever changing Glasgow has had a quite sudden change...

Ordered chicken curry chicken biriany, rice looked an awful orange colour both dishes tasted like carrots, nan bread was undercooked. Chapati tasted microwaved. Avoid if you enjoy good quality Indian food
