Went here for my girlfriends birthday. Indian isnt my favourite choice of cuisine so maybe I am a bit biased in my review. We got korma, butter chicken and jalfreezi. It was pretty expensive for what you get, but all indian restaurants are the same. The garlic naan we ordered was very tasty though and the service was good, and the restaurant was clean.

Was out for dinner here last night. First impression on arrival was how lovely the restaurant is. Was a difficult decision to order as the choice was fantastic. I went with chicken dansak and it was beautiful. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Will definitely be back. Thankyou.

Only got a takeaway but its always great. Staff are superfriendly and threw a few lollies in for the kids. They loved it. Would recommend.

The food is definitely a 5/5 but when me and my friend were there yesterday we had three waiters standing a few meters from our table seemingly staring at us through our entire meal. A few times we looked towards them and made eye contact. Was rather uncomfortable to be honest. Really let down our experince

My husband & I got a takeaway from Indian Ocean last weekend and it was absolutely flawless. They are a business that has adapted to the current Covid restrictions very effectively & it was very reassuring to see how they've implemented strict social distancing in an organised way. The food was beautiful, plentiful and full of flavour, and really reasonably priced. The staff had a big smile when I went to pick it up. Looking forward to eating in the restaurant as soon as we can. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

Another excellent meal at Indian Ocean! Menu is wide ranging and each course is always superb. However the highlight is the staff. Attentive and courteous without being overbearing. Well done and keep up your high standards!

Went here on fri night with another couple. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member and drinks order taken. Not knowing what to order we were given great advice and all the food we got was superb. The service was excellent and I’ll be back again soon.

Came here with my partner for a birthday treat, cannot get over how lovely the whole experience was. So hard to get excellent customer service, food and atmosphere. We moved house so went back to our favourite Indian restaurant after some time and if anything it was better than we remembered Lovely warm restaurant nice decor great service and beautiful food my Prawn Puri and Lamb Rogan Josh and my husbands creamy hot Jalfresi were really tasty and nicest peshwari nan we had in ages looking forward to our next visit

Indian ocean is definitely our favourite indian in Belfast. Food is always high quality and service is consistently excellent, we go here for casual meals or for special occasions. Ambience is lovely. Portion sizes are generous. Can't recommend it enough.

Regularly visit this restaurant both to sit in and for take away. The book is beautiful and is by far one of the best Indians in greater Belfast. The staff are also lovely. Highly recommend it and the staff can advise good dishes to suit your taste.

My husband , myself and our two daughters had a fabulous evening in this restaurant. From walking in the door the welcome was warm. The restaurant and toilets are spotless. The furnishings are luxurious. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and very helpful. Rachel was a delight. Helping us with our order , her manner and attitude was commendable. Alex also made extra effort and helped us to book for next week in Carrickfergus restaurant. They were very busy but we felt very attended too. The food was outstanding. Rachel’s recommendations were perfect.

Took my daughter upto Indian Ocean Glengormley as we hadn't been up in ages . Beautiful restaurant and amazing food , I had the lamb tikka garlic chilli and she had chicken korma , sides of pilau rice , chips and a peshwari naan . The food was absolutely delish and very highly recommended if in the area . Superb

Had an amazing meal in Indian Ocean and it was ambsulotely amazing especially the quality of the food and service, I was amazed. It’s a must visit restaurant in the city of Belfast.

We booked a table for six people last Saturday, we asked for recommendation because few of us didn’t had Indian meal and manager Explained about the dishes very patiently despite the restaurant was full and we had the best meal ever. They are far ahead from their competitors from this area as a food service and quality.

Anyone who reads my reviews knoes I have a severe wheat and egg allergy. Because of this I do not eat Indian or Chinese. However my son called and spoke to the Vhef who pointed out quite a few meals that were suitzble for me. I have had two meals and loved them BUT the chicken Korma was way too sweet and I will steer clear of that and try others. The other two I had were really lovely and I will try others in future. I still gave five stars as it was not the Restaurants fault that I do not like savoury dishes to be very sweet.

We had dinner here and as vegetarians were spoilt with a great selection of dishes to choose from. We were given complimentary poppadoms (with a selection of dips) on arrival and these were all lovely and fresh. Our meal was delicious with just the right amount of spice and the Naan bread in particular was fabulous. The service was very good. I have to say that I am very fussy about cleanliness and the whole restaurant (including the toilets) was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

We've been going here since it first opened: encouraged by having tired other Restaurants in the chain and I can honestly say i nor any of my family have never had a disappointing meal, long wait or poor service.

I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and will keep going back. The food is simply beautiful and the staff very friendly. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside as it is upstairs and among other shops and bars. However once inside it is nicely decorated whilst still simple. There is a window into the kitchen so you can see the food being prepared and it tastes delicious!!! Highly recommended.

Kc the manager always looked after us and our friends. He has left and will be missed. The new manager we know from carrick restaurant (sangeet) has taken over. He looked after us all the times we visited carrick restaurant, and we welcome him here. This is month we have eaten there on Saturday nites and the standards are still as high as ever.

Arrived there with my seven family members feeling hungry at pre booked time 8pm. orders quickly imparted to waiter, after Thirty minute wait every ones getting a bit Frangry, no show of food. In total we waited over one hour for mediocre food. You could see the school dinner ladies through the glass window to the kitchen heating Tesco ready meals for the carry out customers. My daughter stared them out at last the school dinners arrived. Do not go near this place.

I went on a Friday night and did book a table though there was plenty of room so you could just call in. The service in the restaurant was really great. I would actually say it's the best service I have ever seen in any restaurant with very helpful waiters who were polite and always ready to get you another drink etc without hanging around your table. Onto the most important thing the food was amazing I started with the chicken pacora then the main meal was chicken tikka masala which was the best and be ever tasted. Ill be back very soon.

This is one of my wife’s favourite restaurants. Which is very handy, as it’s one of my favourites too! We go as often as is possible and practical. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We have never been disappointed!

My partners birthday was on Friday 3rd and we called here to have our fav Indian dish, this place is exceptional it never ceases to amaze me, the popadoms and dips are delicious the best ever, our meal was superb, full of flavour and at no stage are we rushed we get to take a breather in between our courses, they serve a lovely McWilliams Chardonnay, the manager KC is a true gentleman, we have enjoyed his company, he makes sure we’re looked after from start to finish, I love the food and the charm, they brought ice cream out with a candle in it for my partner Liam’s birthday and everyone joined in happy birthday, I would like to thank Indian Ocean for exceptional services to date , KC sadly is leaving but we will definitely be visiting his new place, good luck in your new venture and hope to see you soon and finally hopefully standards stay the way they have been over these last years in this great restaurant

I have to say normally love this place but last night was very disappointing the staff not the best either the manager was in another world while taking order food came out wrong couple times Madras was very mild not like normal and there was quite a wait also not as efficient as usual very disappointed don't think be returning

We found the food staff and decor, first rate.Just open up too the staff and tell your not sure it's the food for u and the head buck cat will help u with your chosen meal and as far as I know he's always got it for us. Young or 0ld. On the down side it not the cheapestbut u only get what u pay for, good luck enjoy.

We had a beautiful meal, the mixed starters for four being the highlight. Everything was delicious. Toilets spotless. Table overlooking the kitchen was a bit treat for the kids. Service was efficient and friendly.

My partner and I where shopping in Abbey Centre and we decided to head up to the Indian Ocean , it was a very cold night and the restaurant was empty . We had complimentary popadoms and dips followed by a Tikka Khazana Medium and a Chilli Garlic Lamb Tikka Hot , 2 pilau rice and a garlic naan . It was absolutely delicious full of flavours and spices cooked to perfection and a perfect way to finish off our evening . 5***** outstanding food .

Ordered a takeaway as a treat for Mother's day. Travelled to collect and, on getting home, found out part of the order was missing. Phoned and was told to come back and they would correct this. Too far to travel back so they offered me the missing items on my next visit. Not great, don't order the veg pakora, £3.75 for 4 very small soggy lukewarm pieces. The Madras was lovely though the chicken was tough, rice and popadums lovely.

We are regular at this place as we like the food but on this visit our tried was ruined by waitress,me and my partner been in restaurant at 1:35pm but waitress wasn’t happy to serve us meal instead waitress was talking why we came now so late as we know restaurant open till 2pm. Waitress was busy on the phone and talking in different language with another colleague. It was so bad lunch for us won’t be back...

Have been to the restaurant many times always good but not on this visit. Table booked for o'clock arrived on time shown to table which was stuck in a corner even though restaurant was half empty. When asked could we sit at the window we were told we would have to be quick !!!!! couldant belive what i heard. The waitresses were lovely and told us to take our time they were embarrassed by what the waiter had said. Foood was good nut felt like we were in a fast food restaurant. I know it was new year but no matter how busy customers should be made to feel welcome and enjoy their time not feel as if you have to rush. Dont think we will be back.

Dined here with 6 business colleagues who had come over from England for a couple of days. I have been dining here for many years with family and friends and Pradeep and his team always serve up a great meal and customer service. Testament to the quality of food that my colleagues were asking to go there the next time they are over.

In my opinion the best Indian Around. Food and service first class. Extensive menu and staff also very accommodating if something isn't on menu. Tried a few indian resturants through groupon etc but this place is definitely worth spending a few extra pounds on.

We have been regular customers at the Indian Ocean, Glengormley for the past few years. Consistently good food in a nice setting. The staff are friendly and efficient.The only criticisms would be that sometimes the main can appear as soon as the starters lifted off the table. If this isn't what you want be sure to say that you want a 5 min brawl after starter before the main. The other negative is the price of the soft drinks which appeared to escalate after the refurb. Sometimes the coke appears flat, and on a couple of occasions we have returned it, so for an extortionate price is maybe being poured from a large bottle.

Outstanding individual flavours. I have never tasted Indian food that was so light and fragrant. The nan bread is sublime. The tandoori so succulent. The tarka daal was exquisite. Added to this the superb service and even the toilets that would put a 5 star hotel to shame.
