India Quay in Glasgow City

This has to be one of the best tasting Indian food u have ever tasted. Vegetable pakora was light and crispy. Hubby had chicken madras. Chicken Chasni was delicious and the nann bread oh my lord was amazing The service was tremendous Well done guys

Went for the buffet before Simple Minds at the hydro, place was busy but not rammed. Buffet choice was pretty poor. Dull pakora and sauces. Not a great choice of mains and when I went up not a lot of meat in the sauces. Won't be back.

We had a few days away in Glasgow and were recommended the India Quay restaurant by the Crowne Plaza hotel where we were staying. We arrived without a reservation and were given a table quickly, Raj took our orders. He was very professional but chatty and was full of recommendations. I had a Brookmans gin with berries which was lovely and for my main course a chicken moonga which was also delicious. Great service and food and special mention to Raj who looked after us well. Proper rip off. We had the buffet. I had 4 pieces of chicken in the korma sauce and that was end of all main dishes - plenty of rice, sauce and nan. I politely asked for more, they promised to bring it but never did. Liars and cheats.

Been a few years since we’ve been here but visited before gig at hydro . As usual food was pretty good, not as outstanding as other Indian restaurants we have been too but when your catering for pre concert customers everything is done quickly Would return again pre concert as handy as just across the road from the hydro.

Food was delicious & the service was outstanding from Raj. He is so helpful & gave us some excellent food recommendations. We have been on numerous occasions & Raj never fails us with his first class service.

Usually have a nice meal here but recent meal was awful. Basic Bombay potatoes too spicy to eat, husbands meal was full of salt, daughter and boyfriend meals two different meals exact same no difference in taste all, ordered three rice to share between four , they brought four plates with three rice and was told just scrape some from each plate to put on fourth plate 🙈 the service was awful. Attitude of staff when commenting on food was terrible was told “ nobody else has complained “ and told “ we use same curry base for all meals”. Won’t be back , not authentic Indian food at all £100 spent waste of money 😡😡

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We were staying in a nearby hotel and were attending a show close by as well. The food was delicious and competitively priced. The staff were very friendly and took time to explain how the food was prepared and the ingredients which my partner appreciated as she was not an Indian fan but now can’t wait to go back again 😀

Hadn't been here in years, had a not so good experience a few (8!) years back Popped in here before "what's love got to do with it" gig at Armadillo, couldn't get a la carte but luckily the buffet was on and it was tremendous As a veggie, plenty good options, from poppadoms to pakora, couple of mains, both great but the butter paneer was particularly good 👌 To top it off, the amazing little dessert of gulab jamun which I've never had before... think sweet syrupy little donut balls .... awesome We'll be back 👍👍🤨

We came to India Quay before heading to the Graeme Souness night at the SECC. Wonderful meal, made more special by our great waiter Raj who recommended the Chicken Tikka Moonga! Wow! We will definitely have that again. Thanks India Quay, see you soon 😊

Lovely meal once again. Had the buffet lots of nice meals good way to do a taster. Dishes were filled up regularly so need waiting for food. All very hot and tasty. Staff very attentive and very nice. Really good prices.

Tonight we had a meal at the lovely India Quay. On arrival we were greeted and seated promptly by a lovely lady. Within a few minutes our waiter Raj was asking if we would like some drinks.. My husband and I already looked at the menu before arrival and we had an idea what we wanted to order. Raj made some recommendations with his vast knowledge against the curries we were originally going to order. We trusted what Raj advised and went with his recommendations. I'm glad we listened because the meal was full of flavour and looked amazing. We definitely left satisfied with full bellies! The bill overall was great value for money and the restaurant was clean and had some lovely decor. We will definitely travel back for a visit! Thank you again.

A group of us were struggling to find an Indian restaurant on a very busy Saturday night in Glasgow. India Quay set up an extra table for us upstairs and then provided us with an evening of excellent service and superb food. Many thanks.

Stunning food delivered to our hotel! Went to watch the darts in the hydro with my partner we travelled up from South Wales,fancied a takeaway to have at the Hilton afterwards, had the lamb jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala with chips,king prawn starter, mixed kebab starter, all very tasty free sauces and salad, it was located just down the road from the hotel but with the queue coming out of the hydro we pre ordered, would order again if staying in the area

Raj provided a great service alongside some newer staff who he supported brilliantly. Food was amazing and came out in good time for us to go to a show after. Wish I could have eaten more but was stuffed!!

Very convenient to SECC Carprk. Had a starter for two and shared a Boona and three Chapatis between us ( we can never finish individual main dish) and there was no problem requesting an extra plate. Quality? - EXCELLENT Service? - EXCELLENT Thoroughly recommend. We shall return.

Friendly and clean, great food, fast service. The curry here is hotter than the norm, probably the hottest for medium dishes I have had anywhere else before, and I have eaten at Indian restaurants worldwide. Maybe they dropped a whole pot of pepper or chillies in the pot, but a mild Biryani left my mouth numb, it was pretty bad, spoilt the whole evening for two of us. Great food and amazing service.

Service was good. Food could have been hotter, and portions were on the small side. The whole ambience was spoiled as the restaurant was lacking in heating. They had a wee fan heater beside our table, but it was not large enough to create any impact. The party was very cold with one or two of us keeping our coats on. I mentioned the cold temperature to the waiter with little response. On leaving, we were asked how everything went. The cold was again mentioned, but there were no apologies given. As our party had not been in each others company for some time, we were busy catching up and didn't let this affect our experience too much. It would have been much better had they had their heating on! Overall, 7 out of 10. Note that service charges are already included in your bill!

Having lived in the area for over 15 years I have visited several times. One thing ALWAYS brings me back, whilst the food is exceptional, it is the service that I come for (2 visits in 2 days says it all). Great staff team but having worked in hospitality for over 25 years myself, Raj who has been here for quite a while is the reason I come back. His attention to detail is something that is exceptional. Recommended a dish to my partner that was just perfect. Also had a chat with Cain both nights and just the ethos is awesome. The food is exceptional and so reasonably priced (live very locally so know the usual prices). If you are visiting Glasgow/Hydro gigs defo give them a try. Always go where the locals go. My partner may have wanted to lick the plate it was that good.

Excellent food really unusual dishes great taste and nice surprise to have such excellent quality. However when we went back the next day we were told they were full yet there were tables, lots of them that were empty, and told only the buffet was available . the waite certainly recognised us from the previous day and I did expect a bit of a " well hang on here 10 minutes and we'll fit you in " but they gave the impression that they were almost keen to get rid of us so based on that, I'd never go back

Great location if you’re going for a pre-show dinner ahead of an SEC visit. Our paneer sizzlers were super tasty. A choice of marinated and accompanying sauce, both very tasty. The naan bread was a bit flat and lifeless - far prefer them to be light and fluffy. Service was good but sparse. Tried so many times to get staff attention but they walk around with blinkers on. All in all, a decent place to visit.

Had dinner tonight with my wife, my son and his fiancée. A pair of sharer platters to begin with and a variety of mains ordered. Each morsel better than the last and the waiter made welcome, informed suggestions on our selections. Cannot recommend it enough. £128 before tip including 2 rounds of soft drinks/coffees.

I don't know where to start.... The restaurant was beautiful, immaculately clean, very comfortable, with a calm but cosy atmosphere. Raj, who was looking after us, couldn't do enough for us. We were served promptly but not rushed, each course flowed in to the next. My husband had the mixed tandoori sizzler, with the biggest prawns I've ever seen, and I went on Raj's recommendation of lamb moonga and a garlic naan. He also recommended a peshwari naan. We ordered this when we'd eaten the garlic naan. The starters, mains and drinks were all fantastic. Perfect heat, beautifully cooked meat (the lamb fell apart) and THE BEST naan bread. Price point was good, maybe a bit on the cheap side given the quality. Can't recommend this place enough. We'll be back!

We'd ordered paneer sizzler, dal makkhani, samosa, garlic naan and tandoori roti. The food was piping hot and portion size was adequate. Samosa was good and so was chole. Paneer in the sizzler was hard & chewy. We quite didn't enjoy the sweet & sour sauce of sizzler. Dal wasn't dal makkhani. Don't get me wrong, it was tasty, however, it's preparation was like a mix dal. Naan and tandoori roti were the store bought kinds, not the freshly made types. Overall, it was an overpriced average meal.

Absolutely amazing food as always. Service is incredible as well. Prices are reasonable too. Just a little point, the peshwari nan is layered with some sort of syrup which is amazing, however your hands do get very sticky and we asked for wipes, to be told we don't do this, then asked if could have a food bowl with water, again we don't do this but we were given more napkins which only stuck to our hands. I took the napkins to the toilets and wet them myself, such a silly wee point but surely not beyond some thought?

The starter for two platter was very tasty but the main curry dishes were a bit disappointing, hence the three stars for the food.
