Il Vesuvio Restaurant in Bexley

Nice restaurant , not too loud sound. Very tasty and fresh food. We ordered a pizza and a lasagna filled with lobster and shrimp meat. I can say that it’s one of the best I’ve ever eaten!

Delicious food with honest traditional service. My family dine here often but its my first time. I understand why they keep coming. Highly recommend for families or date nights

Portions are generous. In general dishes cooked with passion. We enjoyed everything we ordered, including the baked eggplant with cheese in tomato sauce, lobster and crab meat lasagna which was rich in flavor, and lamb shank with mesh which was hearty. All in all a delightful experience.

30 members of a club attended... food was hot, delivered on a timely basis without material delay between diners, and lots of positive comments about going again. So a good time had by all.

Went here for valentines night with my partner. It the first time here for both of us. Could not fault the service, friendliness or food - all top notch. Very well done 👏

Went for the first time a couple of weeks ago, really great, starters mains and Irish coffee, really lovely food and reasonably priced, hoping to be back for birthday soon.

Terrible place! We came for a dinner with family but were unable to stay as music was too loud.. Update: Seriously? Your food could be good but we were unable to try it because of VERY LOUD MUSIC! There are no points to stay when you can not normally communicate with your family members. If you can not create proper atmosphere - you do not deserve anything more than 1 star. You are "restaurant and pizzeria" not a disco club.

Very enjoyable meal. The food was lovely and very generous portions. The waiting staff were very attentive, even on a busy night. The reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 are that every other table but us received complimentary limoncello. Also, My Margarita had no sugar syrup in it all which made it far too sharp.

Food very average. My pizza bottom was burnt which ruined the flavour.

Always excellent service and good food

Came in on Saturday with my partner and parents. safe to say all four of us absolutely loved the food, service and atmosphere. Didn’t get the name of the lady that served us but she was amazing! the food was 10/10. we are already planning our next meal here.

Nine of us had lunch here today. Some had never been before but all agreed it was a wonderful meal and will be returning. Most of us chose the lobster and crab lasagne from the specials menu and it was amazing, as was the tiramisu! Can’t wait to return!

Very average food we had, not impressed at the slightest... Not sure if we caught the chef on a bad day as most of the reviews here are fantastic. Well, we won't be back

I was with a party of women who were drinking a lot and I noticed they were delaying taking our food order and asked several times if we wanted more alcohol. Food was ok but nothing special at all

What little gem in Bexleyhealth! I had calf's liver for the first time it was the most delicious tasty dish I have ever had !!

This is a perfectly good little Italian restaurant. Good food and service at a reasonable price. I have only had lunches there and I find the atmosphere a bit cold but I would certainly go there again.

Absolutely delicious. If they ask at the end if you want pudding. There’s no need to check the menu. Just order the Tiramisu

ordered from their website and picked up on site. I came by car and everything was ready in less than 20 mins. superfast service and true tasty pizzas. these guys know what they r doin, best true Italian restaurant in south east London so far, absolutely recommended, will order again

Family run Italian restaurant. Lovely menus, but prepared to serve off menu if they have the ingredients. Good service, reasonable prices. Note. Kitchen shuts 21.30 weekdays. 22.30 weekends. A back street gem.

Had late lunch at this restaurant today ,expecting nothing to special as prices very good, was so pleasantly surprised lovely food, we had steak in red wine etc steak was so tender knife just cut straight through , red wine and desserts great as well staff attentive but not over powering , l can imagine the pizzas here would be very good as well l have already recommend this restaurant to my friends for a “great girly lunch “

Ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara: this is an easy and simple italian dish involving spaghetti, eggs, guanciale (pig's cheek), pecorino cheese and pepper. The spaghetti were overcooked but most importantly, there were no eggs (which give the dish that specific texture), guanciale or pecorino. They used cream instead of eggs, tasteless cooked ham instead of guanciale or pancetta, no pecorino or any other cheese and no pepper. It basically was NOT a carbonara and was tasteless. If the chefs/owners are italian they should be ashamed if themselves!

It was a pleasant surprise that the restaurant had lived up to expectation when we had a big lunch there this afternoon. The food was tasty and big portioned. The staff was friendly and attentive. Price reasonable. I love the decor too. Needless to say we will be there again soon!

Food will be great if they put less salt as we found our pasta and other dish quite salty. Staffs were so busy and fast moving. It was hard to catch one of them.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely food and very attentive staff. Didn't wait long for food even though it was Mother's Day. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and it will be our family go to place for celebrations.

Visited for Mother's Day. Good service & food is good in the main. Only criticism is the garlic mushroom starter needs better presentation- half mushrooms instead & add herbs? Pollo Milanese also needs a sauce as bit dry with just chips. Strawberry & lime cheesecake was zingy & delicious!

We have been to Il Vesuvio twice and both times we have had a great meal. I cannot fault the ambience, the friendly staff and the amazing food.

Took my wife here for a birthday lunch. We couldn't fault the place. Staff was very helpful and polite. The food was amazing and we will be returning for my birthday. Would recommend to anyone.

Love this place a real gem hidden away! Martino and his staff are attentive, and friendly. Nothing is ever a problem, or too much! never had a bad meal.

Came here on Valentines night, such a good vibe with live music. Food was good and staff are friendly and excellent hosts. We definitely will be back.

Friendly staff but each staff member seemed to have just a few too many tables in their section as it was hard to flag down our server but other staff were happy to take our orders. I ordered the ribeye steal. It was okay but nothing amazing and certainly not worth £21.95. I asked for medium and there was zero pinkness. Aside from that the drinks were great as was the Tiramisu.

I ate here as I was staying at the Premier Inn and it was next door. I'm so glad I'm here another night. Service was great and the food was amazing and great value for money. I ate the spaghetti del Vesuvio and would highly recommend it.

We had a really lovely time at this Italian restaurant . The food was was superb and the staff were very helpful . We were looking for an Italian restaurant as we were not happy about a certain Italian chain in Bexleyheath and this place beat them easily .

Good enough restaurant, extremely misleading name from a restaurant with this name you would surely aspect to have a wood oven pizza and it's not the case. From an Italian, I am not impressed

Went for my mother's birthday. Friendly, helpful staff. The food was delicious. A good range of Italian dishes. Some Christmas groups, with a few very loud people was the only thing that was a bit negative as sometimes difficult to hear each other.

I went to have lunch and a catch up with a few friends today and went to Bexleyheath for the first time! We had lunch at this really nice Italian restaurant and the menu selection was really good. The food that I ordered was excellent, I would even go as much to say it was the nicest pasta dish that I’ve had for a long time! Delicious food. Friendly staff. Excellent wine list. Highly recommended

Amazing food, great for kids & excellent service. We liked that desserts are made from scratch rather than being bought in which is a nice touch. My daughter recommends the banoffee pie 😁

What a gem of restaurant we found, not too far from home. Fantastic meal!!! Calzone was delicious, my daughter loved her pasta and the fried whitebait and calamari were amazing! And the desserts were simply fantastic. Definitely recommend and will go back asap with all my Italian friends!
