Amazing food!!! Very nice service!!!!

What a lovely little restaurant. The food was lush. I struggle to relax in restaurants but this place was chilled. I didn't feel rushed. Very enjoyable. We'll be back.

Very underwhelmed with the 2 dishes me and a friend had. We had a meat combination dish and a fish combination dish. For 2 of the most expensive dishes on the menu was very disappointment to discover both the fish and meats were way overcooked. The meat was dry, tough and under seasoned. Some of the fish was also dry with the 2 king prawns overcooked meaning the shell was stuck to the meat. Also the salad accompanying the combo fish dish was very basic with no dressing and not really enough to accompany the dish, really could have done with some rice on the side! Thought about kicking up a fuss but didn't want to spoil the mood! Don't think I'll be going back unless it's for a pasta dish! Staff and service was 👍 though!

Returning locals. Fantastic food with a great menu. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. Ramsgate is becoming a food haven but I would rate Il Tricolore and the team as highly recommended and top of the list to visit.

Great restaurant staff welcoming and friendly. Food great quality and good value. Booking advisable at weekends. We had caprino & calamari followed by rib eye steak and pork tenderloin. Rounded meal of with creme brulee and cheesecake. Highly recommended when in Ramsgate.

We were in Ramsgate for the weekend and were really pleased we chose Il Tricolore. Very pleasant restaurant with lovely food and welcoming and professional staff. The vegan options don't look groundbreaking on paper but more than happy with the food served - if we were local we would definitely be back.

Great waiting staff & nice restaurant but then the kitchen staff ruined the whole thing, chewy calamari, slimy under cooked chicken, overcooked tough tenderloin, desserts were good, overpriced for the quality. Back to Kumar's for us - consistently excel.

I had a fantastic meal here with a friend. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious.

Often you get the customers you deserve in which your business naturally attracts.Iam sure Iam not alone in observing certain clientele in and around certain watering holes in the vicinity.When I entered this charming restaurant last night the first thing I observed were the customers.These we’re people who could perform the basic requirements of an evening out.Clean shoes,smartly attired and all carrying themselves with a certain joie de vivre.Hair and make up to the acceptable standard of a Sunday service and all talking at the volume of a well tuned Bristol.If these people were of a time then put me in a tardis and transport me back there.Harry Secombe and Barbara Woodhouse.A time of decency and correct grammar.An age when people from Birmingham didn’t have to embarrass themselves by trying to read the news.This restaurant is it’s patrons.Attractive,not cheap,has high standards and every morsel was eye wateringly delicious.Will definitely return. semplicemente il migliore!

We went on Xmas eve. It was a great evening the menu choice was good and the food was lovely. 2 of our group couldn't make it at short notice so the waitress took their order and it was prepared before we left to takeaway

Had a table of 11 booked for my mum's birthday, it was my first time at this restaurant and will definitely book again! Staff all very polite and helpful, food was amazing. Great place.

This is my favourite restaurant. The Services is great. The food is superb. I’ve eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. My partner had calzone that he loved, and I had seafood pasta which was divine The Banoffee pie was wonderful and so was the tiramisu

Would highly recommend to EVERYONE!!🌟 Delicious food (including the best homemade banoffee pie!), great value and the best service we’ve ever received in Thanet! Can I just add how pleasing it was to be provided with lots of water and refills of water without having to ask! Waiting staff were super attentive but very discreet, they brought candles out and sang to daughter at desert (she was so touched), and then waiting to open the door as we leave - it’s the small but very important things that are very much noticed and appreciated! All these touches made us want to order more food and drink, plus we’ll be shouting about our experience to others and will defo back for more, probably with friends and family in tow! Special shout out to our two waiting staff last night - they were fab and made our evening perfect! 👌🏽 Gorgeous family birthday evening ❤️ Thank you.

We had an absolutely brilliant time here, staff were incredibly attentive to the point when one of our guests' fork fell on the floor, a member of staff was there with a replacement before you could say 'Excuse me, could I have a fresh fork?' We joked and had great chit-chat with the staff. And the food was excellent, and we are fussy eaters. We'll definitely be returning.

The strength of this restaurant is its excellent though unpretentious food. Service was cheerful, friendly and thoughtful.

We visited in the middle of the week in November and the restaurant was busy. Clearly there were quite a number of locals / regulars in - which I took as a good thing. We were seated quickly and a drinks order provided refreshingly fast. Our food order was taken and a short while later, the really tasty starters arrived. The main course then magically appeared without there appearing to any noticeable pause. Two of us (there were four of us in total) had a calzone and when it arrived I thought “my word, I’m going to need a doggy bag” … no chance! It tasted way too good!! Thank you fellow TripAdvisors, it was your recommendations that led me here and I will be back on my next trip to Ramsgate.

Always lovely hot food cooked fresh. Pleasure to eat there. Lunch time menu is just the right amount two or three courses.

We managed to get a last-minute booking, so I thought it may not be busy but pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was full of diners. Really great food, the scallops were cooked perfectly and the chicken with mozzarella and chorizo, spaghetti, and mushroom sauce was delicious. Good value and pleasant service

This was our third time here, and it didn't disappoint! Lovely food, good value, and very friendly service. We shared a portion of meats, vegetables, and mozzarella as a starter, and then my husband had prawns, and I had the lambs liver. All generous helpings and very good.

Blink and you will past this establishment. An excellent restaurant where the staff are always attentive from the moment you walk in, to the time you leave. Very polite and engaging but not over bearing. Mid week evening visit and it was busy - that says it all! An extensive menu and also a specials board. The food was flavoursome and well presented. One of our favourite go to restaurants in Ramsgate. Just a fab all round dining experience.

We visit here about six times a year, the service is excellent, the food as as you would expect, full of garlic and chilli with plenty of parmisan, the pasta perfectly cooked and the Moretti served nice and chilled. Thank you Il Tricalore

Just finished and to be clear, this is the best meal I have ever had. I had what was essentially a mixed grill and every choice of meat was cooked to perfection. My wife had pork loin with a creamy sauce which was also perfect. The dough balls as a starter were perfect too. I would come back to Ramsgate just to go here again.

Me and my Husband have been coming to this restaurant since it originally opened in King Street. We have been countless times. Everytime the service is 5 star. The food is so good you remember every bite and the portions are generous. This is by far my favourite restaurant for its food and service. Being so close to the seafront is perfect too for a short walk after dinner. We love it here and you are all a credit to what you do. See you again soon!

At short notice we decided to visit Il Tricolore in Ramsgate again and we were so glad we did. Just as previously we were made to feel welcome and service was quick. Great atmosphere , friendly staff, good food - what more could we have wanted? My wife said that her Vegan meal was especially tasty. We will be back.

We booked our table ahead of our weekend visit to Ramsgate and I'm so glad we did! It is a reservation only restaurant. The reviews this little place has are excellent and quite rightly so... This is no ordinary Italian restaurant, it's quite simply the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Clearly it's a very tightly run ship, and for good reason. Everything about Il Tricolore impresses. The excellent standard of service, attentive but not unduly. The atmosphere, with a true Italian flavour, relaxed and welcoming. Most of all the extensive Menu and the astonishingly authentic Italian food which was quite simply sublime. We just couldn't fault it and had to give it 10/10... Yes the overall standards are really that high. Do yourself a favour and visit Il Tricolore... Just remember to book in advance online.

I had been before but hadn't been for a long time, so decided to go as night out with my partner. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff for welcoming as we entered, starters came and were amazing but unfortunately my main was a little bit disappointing, as this been an Italian restaurant I had pasta my pasta was overcooked slightly and could only taste a spicy sauce no other flavors came through. thank goodness the front of house of teams where amazing and made the rest of my night enjoyable, but shame I will not be back.

On arrival at the restaurant I was immediately greeted by a member of staff and seated. This top-notch attentiveness continued throughout my meal. The menu was large and I was tempted by a few options but went with char-grilled lamb chops serves with garlic spinach and added a side of rosemary potatoes. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the spinach was lovely and very tasty. The potatoes were fine but I would have liked some more flavour to them. A more than adequate Black Forest gateau completed my meal. I would recommend this establishment for someone looking for a traditional Italian restaurant with excellent service.

Our Ramsgate getaway, after deciding on Italian cuisine, we chanced on this little gem of a restaurant off the main harbour. Immediately from the welcome and atmosphere inside, you could tell this was a popular establishment with regulars and tourists alike. Service was warm and friendly whilst discrete and professional. Our table was a window table at the front. The general menu is superb, our starters of bruschetta and garlic bread were delicious - freshly made dough with a generous sprinkling of tomatoes, garlic and hot and tasty. My main was worth the slight wait, a reflection of the popularity and busyness of the evening, a chicken casserole type dish in a mushroom sauce accompanied with freshly fried rosemary potatoes, very tasty with authentic Italian flavours. A puttanesca pasta was also freshly made, flavoursome and enjoyed! Freshly made “hot chewy dough” Margherita pizza with olives was delicious. Broccoli to accompany was appetising and cooked well. If you’re looking for a decent authentic local Italian restaurant when staying in Ramsgate, give Il Tricolore a try. A taste of Italy with all of the authentic flavours!

Exceptional service. The waiting staff greeted us and took orders promptly. Starters came about 10 minutes after this and were delicious. And the waiters cleared everything between each meal. I thought the set lunch menu pricing was very reasonable, with 3 courses + a soft drink for £20! The only problems with our meal was the incorrect billing for our meal- one of the set lunches was not discounted to the £20 value which we had to point out. I was also disappointed but the coffee- with my cappuccino lacking chocolate powder and a strong coffee taste.

Had my wedding meal here, 14 of us! We had the room upstairs which was amazing decorated with chandeliers had a cozy intimate feel. Staff were amazing and the food could not be faulted! Thank you all for such a beautiful meal which completed my perfect wedding day!! Will definitely be visiting many more times in the future!

We had an amazing evening at this restaurant with my family! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was delicious! We ordered Carbonara, Linguini Gamberoni and Quattro Stagioni pizza, totally recommend. The kids loved the crispy deep-fried chicken with fries. And the Tiramisu was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. This place offers a winning combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a cozy ambiance. We left with smiles and full stomachs.

I NEVER leave a review but i cannot stop thinking about what a wonderful time we had at Il tricolore tonight. The food was perfect starters mains and deserts. The staff where so attentive i haven't had such good service in a long time and we eat out regularly on a weekly basis. I did not catch there names but one young man and two females. So friendly and we really appreciated them adding another table to ours to allow us for more space and comfort without having to ask. They shared recommendations and made sure to hold the door for us at the end of the evening. But above every else the food was perfect, everything we ate and tried was wonderful and we cannot wait to come back. Thank you

We had been looking for a restaurant that could cater for 25 people, when we saw they had a function room having been here and knew just how good the food was we chose here. They managed to give excellent service to all 25 very quickly, the food was exceptional and small requests were never too much trouble. I cannot thank the staff enough for a perfect meal

Celebrated my sister in law’s birthday with a group of 11 guests. We had a fabulous time with great food, friendly efficient service and an excellent atmosphere. Definitely recommend going! Excellent night all round.

Lovely little Italian family restaurant, at the heart of the Ramsgate Harbour scene. Warm friendly service, amazing menu and delicious food. Starters arrived in under 10mins, mains ready as soon as starters were finished. Price point was excellent with the bill coming in around 20 p/h for a starter, main and drink. Well done and we will return, with guests!

Visited last week with extended family. One of our party rang ahead and they accommodated and seated 10 of us within 15 minutes of the call. The food was just fabulous and served very promptly. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She came to check in with us often. We thoroughly enjoyed it, a holiday highlight.

Great Italian restaurant in Ramsgate. I've been here many times and the service is always amazing and the food is delicious! Staff are friendly and helpful, and there's so many options on the menu. There's a vegan food and wine section, which is very inclusive.

Like some others I chanced upon this place when I visited Ramsgate with the family. Complete fluke. But so lucky, the pizzas and pastas were delicious. My oldest son still says it's the best pizza he ever had.

Stumbled to this lovely Italian while looking for a quick lunch place in Ramsgate. We did not have a booking, but staff was so lovely and welcoming and got the table for us straight away! Pasta was very tasty and perfectly al dente! They also gave us generous amount of Parmesan. We paired our pasta with cheeky glass of wine. Lovely restaurant and lovely staff, recommend!

Tried filetto Di maiale for the first time and it was amazing. The sauce was creamy and not very salty. Tiramisu is also highly recommended (not too sweet, and not too much alcohol)! Service was good but there is no service charge. Definitely a must-try Italian restaurant in Thanet.

The food was stunning. We had garlic bread to start, luckily to share as it was eight slices! I have cannelloni and it was delicious. We had a glass of wine and they brought over water for the table. Quick service and friendly staff. Good sized portions for a good price.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night but we're very disappointed at the end on receiving the bill at the end that a service charge of 18% had been added to the bill. Nowhere on the website that I can see is this charge mentioned...

Had the monk fish and mussels linguine from their specials menu and it was excellent... One of my kids wanted spaghetti carbonara, but it wasn't on the kids menu. It wasn't too much trouble for them to prepare a kids version which was very nice of them... Good value for money and will definitely visit again if we visit Ramsgate in the future...
