Whilst I don't expect " fine dining", this "restaurant" is the worst place I have ever eaten in. From the outset the service was unbelievably slow even though the place was quiet. I ordered mushrooms as a starter, they arrived and looked very dry and overcooked and had clearly been keeping warm under a grill or in the oven. Waited almost an hour for the main course to arrive - salmon in a cream/prawn sauce. The salmon, again, was overcooked and dry. The rice was a pile of stodge and inedible. On expressing my dissatisfaction with the waiter, I was met with total disinterest and in fact he was rude and condescending. He advised me that is what real Italian rice should be.....I don't think so. I was going to ask for a doggy bag but even my two labradors would have turned their noses up. There are several excellent Italian restaurants around Preston, this is certainly not one of them. Good food, customer service, a friendly manner and a pleasant persona is something you will not find here, Avoid !

Read a few reviews before going. Didn't read thoroughly. Awful service, and dire food. Menu said 2 courses for 17.95, but questioned the waiter and he provided different menu. First red flag. Ordered king prawns, said served with garlic, lemon and chili Jam - when the dish arrived, the prawns were swimming in some kind of soup, tasted like sugar had been added, the prawns were overcooked and mushy, couldn't eat. Asked about the steak pizzaola and ordered, after waiter assured, was steak with a tomato sauce. An hour later, a dish arrived that was lukewarm and looked nothing like any steak pizzaola it had little taste was lukewarm the meat was in strips and it was tough as old boots. About 10 roast potatoes sat aside the food, they looked like they had been dipped in a fryer. Would not go near again.

A delightful, welcoming Italian family-run restaurant where I always receive an attentive and professional service. The prices are very good value and most importantly the food is consistently of a high standard. A wide variety of Italian meals are on offer, the highlight for me being the fish casserole, which is a wonderful, nourishing and delicious dining experience. They also stock a first rate red wine “Amicale” which scores 4.1 on the Vivino wine app and is something I always look forward to. All in all, a cracking restaurant. Well done guys.

Nothing was to much trouble. Excellent in every aspect. I particularly wanted a risotto, they delivered, even when they had to change some of the ingredients. I fact I I looked and every menu on line ,no risotto. I also got take-out

The young girl was very polite who took my phone order. My pizza was cold and some of my order was wrong. I spoke to the manager (he's a very nice man). The manager sent me a complimentary and it was really good. I would recommend.

The service and communication towards my family is perfecto. The pizza and the pork was exquisite thank you so much.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Preston, amazing food, great service and awesome atmosphere. We went for an early valentine's night and we had an amazing time. The staff was really amazing and very friendly. The food is amazing and it's good value for money. I totally recommend the sharing starter platter and the tiramisu, which is amazingly tasty! The pizza is very tasty as well. Always get the roasted potatoes, they are amazing.

Food was really good and we had a lunchtime special of pasta or pizza for £6.95. Service was great during the meal but rude and ignorant before. I would have given it 5 stars but on entering the restaurant at 11:55 for a table booked for 12:00 I was ignored by two male members of staff who walked past me. The guy in the kitchen tried to get their attention but failed so I had to stand in the empty restaurant like a spare part. Eventually after one of the male members of staff stopped faffing about with cutlery he came over and said they weren't open yet. Then don't open the door until you are!!. Not a very good welcome to a paying customer. Having said that the meal was excellent and the place was packed with happy customers half an hour later. I think I would return because the food was excellent but the welcome was disappointing.

Very nice staff, brilliant with the kids too. Make your own pizza went down well with the kids. Didn't feel rushed, prices not bad, nice atmosphere. Will definitely call again.

Really good experience, fantastic service,staff are so nice and the waiter is absolutely amazing with children...what a star👍the kids even made their own pizza....lovely waitress who was very attentive to our party and the main man was on hand throughout ensuring excellent service. Would definitely eat here again, food was excellent.

This is one great Restaurant 5 to dine in. The menu is a must. The waiting staff are great, polite and know what they are doing. The chef/ Owner knows how to cook his meals.

The food is always good and the service great. The atmosphere depends on the clientèle at the time of your visit. I chose a quiet time for our late lunch so there were only one other table used so it was very quiet.

Lovely restaurant. Highly recommend the fresh tagliatelle with prawns. Friendly staff and private area upstairs for large groups.

Absolutely love this place. Meal deals weekday lunch times. The staff are brilliant and have a great humour. I never spend a fortune but always have a fantastic meal.

Not something I usually do, Ordered food and it was a little late which is understandable as it is a Friday night. Ordered 2 portions of spaghetti and meatballs, both lacking any seasoning, which was a little bit disappointing. I go past your establishment very often on my commute to work and it usually looks fairly busy, so I thought I would give it a try. Garlic bread & mozzarella was very nice, can’t complain. Chips came piping hot, but overcooked nevertheless, edible. The funghi pizza… abysmal. Your tomato base also lacking seasoning, just like the spaghetti sauce. Way too many mushrooms on the pizza, which were also a little undercooked for my liking. Overall experience, personally would not order again. Like I said at the start I would not usually do this, but for the price you charge for your food it’s extreme pricey for the standard of the food that got delivered.

Great food and a nice atmosphere for a dreary Wednesday evening outside. There was a table celebrating a birthday and we sang along with them. Lovely evening with friends.

Extremely rude and foul attitude. Would never go there ever again. Atrocious and need to be taught basic customer service. In response to reply, I arrived to visit my child who is studying at UClan. I had promised to take them to a nice restaurant in Preston. We had arrived early and I wanted to use your toilet. If you'd politely replied that would be fine but you were extraordinarily rude. I work in London and do not have my own house in Preston. I plan to visit many times in Preston but not to your establishment. I'm happy not to return, trust me.

We went with our two boys the staff were very good with both of them. they both ate all their food (which is rare). I really enjoyed my pizza too everything tasted like they used fresh ingredients. Very good price for 4 of us with a drink each for me and my wife. Will 100% be returning, thank you.

What a fantastic Italian restaurant, great food, fabulous service and a real buzz to the place. We chanced upon it and what a find, we'll be back, it's everything that you'd want from an authentic Italian restaurant, blows all the chain Italian restaurants out of the water.

Always well looked after from the staff and the food is consistently excellent. The ambience is relaxing and the manager is always very welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough for a lunchtime treat.

Absolutely brilliant! Catered for my Gluten-free allergy. Really tasty, hand made base not the pre bought rubbish. And the lunchtime offer price of £5.95 for a 10" pizza is unbeatable. Thanks 👍👍👍

Had a lovely experience here with a friend. Ordered Spag' Bol' which was very tasty made with the best mince(I could tell) and nieve was very accomodating and couldn't help enough. Also very quick service but the meal could have been slightly hotter. Would prefer to have fresh fruit salad on the menu as love it and is good for people who may be on a diet or watching their weight. Will defo be going again soonest.

Very disappointed tonight and we are regular customers:-( Food was Luke warm and undercooked. Lasagne had not been near an oven and was microwaved only. Whilst i accept the lasagna will have been pre made, i would expect it to have been originally cooked in an oven and therefore browned off, it was pure white mozzarella and microwaved only :-( The pizzas were undercooked too and garlic bread mexicana looked like the toppings (of which there were very few) had been chucked on as an afterthought! Chips were soggy Very under par and so was the response from the restaurant manager when i called to feedback! We order fairly regularly and occasionally eat in but this experience tonight has put me off

Came down from Wales on a trip to visit family for the week and for an avid Italian lover of the Language, food and culture I had to go to an Italian restaurant on my visit. This restaurant was phenomenal, it was clean, all the staff were polite, knowledgeable and cleanly presented, the staff were amazing and had great conversations with us. The young waiter knew his knowledge of the menu inside and out, and he was very polite. The bathroom and facilities was clean, spotless and did not smell which was amazing! Our visit was absolutely lovely and for just over £71 for 3 people for mains, 2 desserts and a shared starter with drinks, it was incredible! Would definitely recommend and If ever visited from Wales would come again! Bellissimo!

Had an amazing meal last, lovely restaurant, great atmosphere. All the staff were super friendly and happy to help with menu choices. Had a starter from the special board, Mussels with cream, absolutely divine. The seafood risotto was lovely and for desert there was a few of us wanted Affogato, it wasn't on the menu, but they happily made it for us. Great night. Will definitely return.

Had a fabulous evening celebrating my 50th birthday with family. Everyone loved the food and the service was fantastic. I would like to thank the restaurant and the great staff for everything, really friendly and great with the kids.

Having ordered here quote regularly over the years, probably more than twenty times to the same address, tonight we have been told we are over the delivery limit and they arent willing to deliver, they have jist lost a regualr customer, just shows how important loyalty is nowadays.

Came here with my nephew and parents for lunch I wad surprised how busy it was for a midweek lunch, which was a good sign. Waiter clearly enjoyed his jod was very welcoming service from all the staff was lovely very accommodating. Food was good all round everyone enjoyed it, well priced and food came promptly. If I had to complain about anything it was slightly cramp, but I didn't feel like it was and issue.

First time here with a group of friends. Not a lot of atmosphere, pictures on walls was a nice touch, an it was busy. I ordered a pizza, and some chips. I was not offered any sauces when the food came, but I did ask them if I could have some, which they agreed to. (I did not get any). When it came to ordering dessert, we were given a separate menu. A few things my group wanted, they did not have. I ordered a chocolate fudge cake, and asked for it to be warm with ice cream, (as this was one of the options) again this was agreed. However when it came it was a cold, small portion, and served with cream, ice cream, and strawberries on the side. The chocolate fudge cake, was more like a gateau, so I can see why they did not heat it up. It was disappointing. I did not find value for money here, and the food was not that tasty, the pizza was burnt on the edges.

Early evening dinner with the Mrs. we both had a huge pizza, meat feast very tasty and seafood ditto. Fresh and hot. If you want the special price menu, you will have to ask for it as it’s not on the table. Great service, highly recommend.

Excellent take away! they had forgotten to put one meal in but phoned us up soon as they had noticed and give us a bottle of wine to say sorry which they didn't have to do, not many others would do. The food was fantastic as always we haven't been in to dine yet but will definitely be going in soon. Highly recommended!

Lovely birthday meal 😋 will go again

Ordered loads of pizzas and garlic breads on a Sunday morning pick up. Superb service, amazing food quality and boxed well to keep hot. 10 out of ten. Top job.

This was my second visit. The first time I was here I ordered a pizza and my husband ordered bolognaise which were fab. Our server was very entertaining and it was a lovely experience. This was before lockdown, the first one. The second time I visited, umm not the same experience... Maybe it was a busy day. My. Soup of the day, wish it was served in a smaller bowl or something.. The chicken wings appeitizer was good. For main, Linguine and Penne arrabbiata were OK. Desserts were perfect I must say. Although everything was good, something about the experience was not as before... Hence the 3 stars. Maybe because I didn't order pizza this time. 🤷

Tried this place for the first time. Overall, the experience was nice, as it was a cute place, and one of the servers was very entertaining and enjoyable to speak to. However, it took a while for our order to be taken, and the first server forgot to bring out our drinks, only bringing them after we had already received our food and asked again for them. Appetizers were delicious, but we didn’t enjoy our main pasta courses as much.

There are many good places to eat in Preston, this isn't one of them. We were on the verge of leaving when someone bothered to take our order. We ordered a garlic bread starter, staff wouldn't bring our mains until we'd finished it! One of the meals was not what was ordered, the replacement took so long I watched my girlfriend eat, then she watched me eat! The food was at best average. Their takeaway leaflet says 'free delivery ' in big letters - they don't deliver!

The best pizza in Preston in mine and my wife's opinions. This is after buying from them 2 weekends in a row. Very tasty dough and toppings, beautiful pizza. My brother and sister in law introduced us to Il Gusto. We joined them on a visit on guy Saturday at 1pm and the place was buzzing, always a good sign. This restaurant is doing everything right, the service is friendly and spot on but more importantly for us, the food was excellent. The house Pinot Grigio is £11.95 a bottle, add a tenner to that in the city centre! Also a pleasant surprise was to be told all pasta and pizzas were £4.95, an early bird special.Il Gusto D’Italia is situated on a busy junction a couple of miles outside the city centre and parking is awkward but I cannot recommend it enough.This was our first visit, my brother is a regular and I can see why. As a vegetarian the menu was not the usual one or two choices, in fact it was inspired as far as I was concerned. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in and around Preston but my wife and I are grateful to have discovered this one.

Really good food the reason for not 5 stars as we had to wait nearly an hour and half for our food and my children we're getting a little restless.

Randomly dropped in as we were passing and hungry. They cleared a table immediately for us. Staff were pleasant, friendly and good natured. The food was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection. I can definitely recommend the tiramisu absolutely stunning. If you're looking for home cooked, tasty, fresh Italian food, look no further.
