iCafe Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire

Had never been here before and having had no lunch I decided to go in for a coffee and toastie. I ordered and paid at the desk and went to find a table. It was quite quiet (only 3 more people sitting in) with two members of staff working but there were no clean tables.I sat at a table which had been cleared but not wiped thinking the waitress would clean it when she brought my food. She didn't...she just plonked my coffee and toastie down on the dirty table and left. As I was on the phone at this point I just let it go.The toastie was awful. The very thin sliced bread squashed together till almost non existent and the cheese mostly on the outside of the toasty. How does this even happen? I don't know what they use to make them but it's not how a toastie should be. The coffee was okay but what I had was certainly not worth the money and I will not be back there. There are far nicer places in Kilmarnock.

Great place to meet friends for a coffee and a chat. Staff are always helpful and very pleasant. Like the coffee in here.

Id rate this as poor at best. My wife ordered a hot chocolate and cream on top was off as though had sort of curdled. The coffee was terrible also. I surprised as seems good from outside

Popped in to have a late lunch. Tea served before meal, meaning it was cold when it arrived. Son ordered a cheese toastie, not sure how they clarify this, but grated cheese just thrown over toasted bread, not my idea of a toastie. I ordered a Veggie breakfast, mushrooms were half cooked and cold, scrambled egg was cold, tomatoes were salad tomatoes heated up, not proper tomatoes for cooking, potato scones, were tasteless. Best thing about breakfast was the bread. I would say considering it was a veggie breakfast it was overpriced as was the tea. First visit to the ICafe and think it will be our last.

This is a small coffee shop in the town center. There is limited food choices. The peri peri chicken sandwich was good and so was the chicken and cheese toastie. Wifi reception is excellent.

Nice selection of sandwiches toasted or cold. Prices were reasonable and centrally located in Kilmarnock Town Centre. Nothing fancy but good for quick bite to eat coffee if in town.

Been in here loads of times, for take out coffee and sit in. I usually have the coconut latte and yeah ok it can be quite sweet but it is delicious! I’ve also had the hazelnut one and it’s good too. Always met with lovely service and the cakes look delicious.

We ordered 3 hot chocolates they were not hot and it took over 20 minutes to arrive. Not a great experience.

Despite living in Killie I hadn't had chance to come visit this cafe. After visiting today I will be back for sure. Lovely tea and toasties, nice atmosphere and seats.

Very relaxed welcoming Internet cafe in Kilmarnock. Staff are excellent and the Service cannot be faulted. Excellent manageress in charge who goes out of her way to chat with a friendly smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Interior of the cafe is very clean with some really nice snacks on the menu. Can highly recommend.

Me and my little boy love coming in to the icafe, his favourite is the strawberry hot chocolate because the girl Shannan always makes him it in a small cup and it's always cooled so he can drink it straight away, all the staff are so friendly, Lindsey and Allison always make you feel so welcome, we come almost every week!

Tried 2 different types of soup, they were both excellent, especially the parsnip and red chilli. The raspberry and coconut milkshake is an experience. ...yum!

We went in for a quick coffee and it made a nice change from a chained place. The coffee was fine we didn’t try the food. There was plenty of choice and if us reasonably priced.

Popped in her for a quick lunch. Having never been we didn’t know if it was fable service or order at counter type place. We sat at a free table which was not clean and not even the sight of me wiping the table myself was enough to kick start a staff member into gear. You’d think my lost look would’ve nudged one of the two staff to pop over and let us know the lie of the land.

Enjoyed a morning beak, with coffee and scones. Yummy. Such a friendly young man served us. He needs a big pat on the back. Well done!

This is by far the friendliest café in Kilmarnock, it isn't some big corporate coffeehouse with no atmosphere! The staff are amazing, they have never been anything other than warm and welcoming. Oh and the drinks & cakes are...... well I keep going back so they must be doing something right :)

I visit Kilmarnock about once a month on business and this is the only café I visit. The staff are so nice and friendly and can make a lovely cup of tea. I am also parcial to a cake every know and again and their selection is great and the staff aren't shy about helping you chose just one (sometimes another one as a take away) I would recommend this café to anyone in or visiting Kilmarnock.

The Icafe has a great location on King St, ideal for shoppers . The meat is halal, which is Islamic, but they also do Scottish, Brittish, @ vegetarian friendly, in addition to gluten free options. There`s an extensive range of beverages, you will be spoilt for choice. Free-Wifi , two pc`s available at rear , but there is a charge for this. Staff amicable, but prices aren`t the cheapest.

This cafe is one of the few places that does pink and white tray-bakes. However, the one I got here the other day was quite stale and the decaffeinated americano was woefully weak. I got the smallest size. It came in a very large cup. I would much rather have had a smaller cup containing a decent strong cup of coffee with a creme on top.

Have been in here on numerous occasions and whether for just a coffee and cake or a full lunch I have always enjoyed the food. W

This cafe is friendly, competent staff and great food. Very clean and an amazing atmosphere. The computing facilities are excellent and the Internet is very fast. Quick service and excellent menu choices.

Love to visit for great coffee and the staff are all lovely nothing is ever a problem to them also love the gluten free biscuits that are now in store.

I love the iCafe great warm atmosphere with the babies and the coffee is fantastic especially when its been a long night. I often treat myself to a traybake which is always good, overall great friendly staff always happy to help and great coffee couldn't ask for anything more.

Excellent service, staff remember your order and proper coffee made just as you like it, always served with a smile.

Popped in myself whilst I was on a shopping run and was not disappointed. I have been a few times with friends but this time decided to try something different. I had a coconut latte and it was delicious the coffee was much better than Costa's and so nice to have something different. Although I never had a cake this time I have in the past. The toffee tiffin is beautiful and the peppermint slice is to die for!

The coffee in iCafe is far better than any Costa. Also an ideal place for lunch as it has a selective menu. The cafe is clean, tidy & the staff are very friendly & welcoming. Cakes are mmmmmm, Recommended.

Lovely cafe in the town. Popped in for a drink. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. The cafe was very clean and the drinks were lovely. We had peppermint tea and smoothie. Although we never ate here plenty did and the food looked tasty.

Would definitely recommend this cafe. Went there with brother for coffee and cakes. Great service, great coffee, and nice cakes.

I have now been twice - so hardly a regular but both times I have been very impressed. What especially impressed me today (19/05/17) was the way in which one of the team helped a lady wth additional support needs at around 12.15-12.30. It was not just the fact that she helped the lady out but the manner in which she did so - displaying a great deal of respect towards the lady.

Nice little place. Tho could do with out the stalls. But apart from that great. I would like to go again

Just popped in for coffee and cake. Can honestly say it's the best coffee I've had out in a long time. Cakes were lovely too. Staff lovely. My first visit but will definitely be back for my coffee fix.

We popped in for a pot of tea and a coffee.The medium cappuccino was the right size for early morning and delicious and good value. Great frothy head and ample chocolate sprinkles Pot of leaf tea was good and gave three cups.Staff were very welcoming but not over-the-top and service was good.Planning return trip to try delicious-looking baking!

Have been to ICafe on several occasions with my Mum. We enjoy it as it's relaxing, Good Service. Nice food and drinks. Reasonable prices.

Had a salami toastie and a banana latte, it was delicious. The service was fast and the staff were very kind, one of them even remembered me from a previous visit. I would recommend to anyone and will always go here whenever I'm in Kilmarnock.

On entering, a warm welcome was given from smiling friendly staff as well as the wonderful aroma of various coffee's available. I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience of coffee with a hint of coconut. Yumm <3 I had a light lunch from the menu and as my daughter who was treating me is vegan, there was a good menu for her to choose from. Free Wi fi is always a bonus but I found it was a lovely place to just chat and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere while in the town centre.

Just love this addition to Kilmarnock town centre. Love Love Love the coffee, the staff & the (occasional!) cake treat too. Like their new ideas that you sometime create too. Keep it up guys. Like to stroll down with my baby & dog & sit outside on a dry day enjoying the fab coffee & watching the day go by!

Always amazing in here, super friendly staff, coffee is always great, and decent prices! Really comfortable atmosphere, and I feel very comfortable coming in to do my work. Today I had a mango cooler. As delicious as it always is! Great selection of savoury food and cakes. Lots of which is halal. They cater well to allergies etc. Always very helpful.

Stopped in here today for a coffee and a sit down while shopping. Thought I would try some of their Signature coffees but almost had a stoke when she asked for £4.35 in exchange for medium Nutella cappuccino. Wasn't impressed by the size of a medium coffee and other that Nutella round the rim and a blob on at the bottom of the cup, it didn't taste like Nutella. Perhaps it was just an unlucky choice I made but I don't think I'll be back as it's not worth the money.

Smooth latte, nice double espresso and good teaFood seemed limited (Maybe cause Sunday) but as we only wanted a coffee...

I am a frequent visitor to the iCafe, as it's coffee prices are reasonable, and most enjoyable coffee I have found, in Kilmarnock. I have not eaten there, myself, but my son-in-law informs me that the turkey rashers with pancake and maple syrup are very good.Staff are very courteous. There is some outside seating, just in case we have any sun.

Went in purely because it had Wifi.I'm a wheelchair user.I struggled through an extremely overcluttered assault course of closely packed, clautraphobic tables and chairs to find a spot I could sit and my chair not be constantly pushed past, having to work my way right to the back.I ordered a Lentil Soup.The Baked Potato and Chilli and a Coffee.Soup out of a tin.Measly pat of butter for the bread, Baked Potato obliterated to powder in amicrowave with he cheapest tinned Chilli you can buy in the budget range at any supermarket (be better eating dogfood) and the Coffee was disgusting.Wifi eventually worked, but I had to wait and ask someone how to access it.Not a relaxing experience.In future, I'll buy a coffee and a roll at Brownings and tap their Wifi from outside as it's waaaay overpriced and not somewhere I'd venture back into!

We go to I Cafe a lot before i start my shift i always just have coffee but on the rare occassion we have cake and it is the Bizzz <><><>

I can here with a couple of friends for lunch. The staff were terrible and unfriendly. The food took about half an hour to get to us although it was only a couple of toasties. The coffees were luke warm and for the quality of food the prices were far too high, so overall had a terrible experience and won't be back.

Visited at about 4 pm on a Friday. The staff had the cleaning up in full swing even though the café was open for another two hours. A bit off putting.The girl who served us was surly and unwelcoming.The only plus point is the coffee is good.Another minus point is I have never came across such an uncomfortable selection of chairs.(cheap quality).Have been coming here regular might give it a miss in future.

I went into the Kilmarnock Icafe today to use the computer & printer. I am completely computer illiterate . I explained to Jordan McPherson my problem. Thank you icafe for employing such a wonderful young man. He made my visit an excellent one with his patience, expertise , friendliness and overall his wonderful attitude to his work and life. I will certainly be using your Icafe in future for coffee visits . Top marks

I love the iCafe! I visited with my mum a few weeks ago and had the best pistachio hot chocolate (and it was soya). The staff were extremely friendly and chatty. I have been back a few times since and highly recommend the coconut hot chocolate! I look forward to trying the food next.

Liked this place. Relaxing atmosphere. Staff were pleasant. A great range of coffees and hot drinks. Snacks seem a bit pricey however.

Nothing better than cakes or coffee but here you are totally spoiled for choice. I recommend the raspberry mocha, different but amazing.

My friend and I were looking for a lunchtime snack whilst shopping in Kilmarnock and decided to try iCafe. I chose a brie and onion toastie with a raspberry mocha to drink. My friend had a chicken roll, also toasted and tea. We both cleared our plates and felt that we had had a tasty lunch that was also good value. Would definitely call again, if in the area - after all I only tried one type of coffee.

Popped in here for a quick cuppa. The service was ok and the tea was very good but the cake and scone had seen better days. Both were stale and almost inedible. Considering the cost was more Glasgow than Kilmarnock, they will not be seeing me back again.

It was a horrid rainy day in Kilmarnock so popped in here to warm up with a bit drink. Very good range of hit drinks, snacks and cakes. The hot chocolate was the best I have ever had.

very clean very welcoming but not happy with non disclosed extras that turned a not cheap (£2.60) hot chocolate into an eye watering £4.10. squirty cream,not a lot, 50p, strawberry syrup, on the top, 50p, 3 yes 3 tiny marshmallows, you guessed it, 50p. all offered to the unsuspecting in an implied free way. just be honest and upfront. wont be back!!!!

Absolutely my favourite place for coffee in Kilmarnock. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee is excellent as is the food. Lovely, laid back atmosphere, always very clean too. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

I opt for icafe over big chains like costa and starbucks because of the atmosphere and attention to individual customer taste. The staff are very friendly and tailor drinks and food to your taste. The atmosphere is very relaxing. A huge positive for my wife and I is that all food is halal. You can often see the owner taking pride in his cafe and helping his staff clear tables etc. Very humbling to see as owners often take the back seat and let staff do everything. All staff including the owner make you feel welcome from the moment you step in to the cafe. Service is fast and quality of food and drink is great.

Standard of coffee is outstanding, staff are so cheery and friendly! Wide variety of drinks/food/cakes etc and also cater for vegans, gluten free etc! Would highly recommend Icafe!

Had a visit with my son 1 and half while waiting for my gran. I was studying for an exam at the college and the staff were so friendly and talking to my little boy as they worked helping me study as he was amused. We had some toast and it was great, they even offered baby wipes in case I had forgotten them. Fabulous work and will deck be back!!

The pannini's are fantastic not to mention it's halal! The quality of food is fantastic next to nothing, the staff are ever so friendly. I would recommend this place highly.Till my next latte folks!Tony A

Had an amazing time at icafe. Stopped in with a friend for coffee/tea, and spent hours enjoying our beverages and snacks and chatting. The food selection is excellent, and I think my favorite part is the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The décor is clean and modern and well thought out. Would love to go back and enjoy another cup of tea.

I love the coffee served here and the cakes are delicious, fresh and extremely tasty! The staff are bright , friendly and helpful. Each time I visit more and more food choices have been added to the menu. I asked if fully skimmed milk could be added to the choices and sure enough, it has. A business which actually listens!!Long may it remain in town

I have had 2 good lunches here and one really very bad one.I get the same every time,the humous and olive platter which is usually good.last one though was served with browning bitter salad and the pitta was clearly microwaved to heat it up instead of being toasted which meant I almost broke my jaw on it and left it.

Great food and coffee. So much variety, something for everyone. The staff are really welcoming and friendly and my son liked the colouring sheets. I will deffinetley be visiting again.

Dropped in one lunchtime for a quick bite and a coffee. The scrambled was delicious, given a choice of bread for toast and the range of coffee and hot drinks was excellent. Must say its the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time (I usually find cafe coffee too bitter). The service was excellent as well, really nice friendly staff, efficient and speedy. Wld definitely recommend this wee cafe if your in Kilmarnock .

Went in for breakfast and to catch up on some work but left pretty disappointed. Service was dreadfully slow, coffee was lukewarm and worst of all the wifi (this is an icafe remember) didn't work - neither my laptop or phone could connect. My pancakes were lovely but I doubt I would rush back.

Decided to try iCafe to escape the busy street market which was on. The place only had four other customers and initially seemed clean and tidy so off to a good start. The range of coffees and teas is extensive and the range of cakes and food acceptable. We ordered lattes and scones. The lattes took so long to arrive that the scones were already finished and they were merely tepid and quite bitter (we have tried many places and this was not a good latte by any standard). The couple at the next table had also finished their food and the chap had to ask for his coffee although his wife had been given her tea at least five minutes beforehand. There was no shortage of staff but service was painfully slow and no apologies were give for delays. There is obviously a need for some intensive staff training to resolve issues in iCafe. Prices were also on the high side and as there are many better places to visit we will not be returning.

Two of their coffees of the week cost £7.10 and took ages to be served. The coffee was warm not hot with whipped cream and almonds on top, if I had stirred in the cream the coffee would have been almost cold.

Nice place but the service is just too slow! Over 20 mins to get a coffee when there is only 6 other customers in at the time with 2 staff serving suggests they need better training

Have visited on a number of occasions in the last few months. Food is of a great standard as is the coffee. Staff very pleasant and free wi-fi. This is a cool cafe, with a good vibe & reasonable prices.

Out fore the day with mum and looking for someone suitable for lunch and enough room to maneuver mums wheelchair. Found the Icafe and had a great menu and plenty vegetarian choices as well.Placed our order at the counter. A roll and scrambled egg and tea for mum, flavored water and a toasted sandwich for myself. We didnt have too long to wait for our food. Mum had a lovely soft roll filled with plenty of egg which she enjoyed and my toastie was lovely.Was easy to also log into free wifi. Would come back again.

The pot of tea was strong and full of flavour. The surroundings were a quiet hub in the centre of town. We popped in to pass the time and enjoy a cuppa and enjoy it we did.

For what it is its too expensive I had a muffin and a cola my friend had a roll in scrambled eggs which was so watery the roll was soaking. Won't be back in a hurry

Had a very enjoyable visit to iCafe today with my two year old. It's somewhere I've been meaning to go into for a wee while having moved back to Kilmarnock last year. The decor is very appealing and very clean, with a very welcoming and friendly staff. The wee one said his cheddar sandwich was "yummy" and likewise the turkey "bacon" sarnie was very good too. My latte was lovely with great barista patterns on top. My only grumble is that there is no kids' menu, but yet they've got kiddie's seats so clearly looking for that clientele. A wee lunch box with a smaller sandwich, some raisins and the like would almost make the trip in perfect.

Have tried some of the special coffees, raspberry mocha and Nutella capuchino very good. Have not had a chance to try any eats yet.

Was in Kilmarnock looking for a good coffee and was pleased to find icafe,brilliant coffee and amazing cakes and food 10 out 10 guys. Will be back thanks
