I had a really tasty fish supper.

Very clean and friendly staff. I'm sorry to post this but extremely disappointed with our take away tonight. Mince pie supper ( pie Very dry also chips dry and lukewarm) Fish, batter greasy, although the fish inside was dry. Also although i asked for a single it was served with lukewarm chips.

Not bad for a local chippy, fish supper can be a bit hit and miss. Would be great to see smoked haddock/ more seafood options on the menu, and also some vegan options would be excellent; look at fish and chip shop in Cullen for inspiration- plant-based burger (not veggie burger), sausage, white pudding, haggis.. same old menu is getting a bit stale. Good to have the option for home delivery but takes an hour plus to come; recommend collection as the food is a lot hotter/ fresher and it’s really easy to order and pay online.

Fantastic produce, freshly fried as you wait. Beautiful crispy batter. A must when in Huntly.

Was a brilliant caring employer .I worked in 1977 for him .he had two sons one daughter .when he retired I kept cleaning for his son Richard and Mr Rowley .I was Brenda Mccartie lived bogforth on the glass road .

Tried this fish shop tonight as it had been recommended was extremely disappointed all aspects of the meal was terrible and overpriced esp small portion of chips £2.20 and when they say small the portion I mean it is tiny and old fat was used and homemade onions rings over greasy.

Straightforward online ordering system. Very busy when I arrived but didn't have long to wait. Efficient staff. Fish and chips very tasty.

Princess Coco has given the Royal seal of approval, she loved her fish chips and thought the friendly staff were Ace. Pictures weren't in Huntly as we were too busy eating the very tasty chip supper 😋 we'll be back 😁

Our supper from here was lovely. Chips were really good.

Good sized portions, well cooked, nice and hot and very tasty. We had a bit of a wait though, but that's our fault for going on a Friday as chippies are always busiest then! But it was worth it.

Found it by off chance and what a great fish and chip takeaway meal. Can honestly say by far the best I've tasted in a long long time. Highly recommended

The food was cold and tasteless, my order was wrong. The older staff are rude and very impatient with the customers. This place is an utter joke

On my return from Aberdeen going East I stopped in a layby , and checked a search engine by typing in chip shop near me. I was in a layby about 8 miles before Huntly.This chip shop came up, and so I decided I would take a chance. It turned out to be an excellent decision to do so.As I was coming from the East on the A96, I turned off to the right, onto the junction that leads under and by Huntly railway station.The Tom Tom helped me navigate the small narrow 1 way backroads onto the main street.I had no problem getting parked by the chip shop. On entering the chip shop, I discovered you can phone in your order prior to picking it up. Handy to know for the next time I'm driving on the A96 to or from Aberdeen.When I entered the chip shop, the staff were busy preparing orders for other customers who were waiting outside as they had pre-ordered.The aroma of chips and other food being fried was tingling my taste buds. It was a good sign.The staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful, they took my order reasonably quickly.I ordered the jumbo fish supper.I didn't have to wait too long to get my supper and take it to eat in my car outside on the road.The chips were trully amazing, I've not eating soft well cooked chips like this on the last 10 years, and it reminded me if another good chipshop from my younger daysof Valentes Chip Shop on Overton Road, in Kirkcaldy.Sorry I transgress, anyway the chips were delicious, the fish more so. I was given 2 fish in batter. The batter was crispy, cooked to perfection. The fish was soft and succulent. Hot to eat, and pick up with your fingers, the fish and batter broke up beautifully when I was picking it up.A very good sign of cooking. Yes I admit I was parked outside the chipshop, so it didn't take long from the fish being battered perfectly, and the chips cooked fresh, thus the chips that had not been sitting, and soon on eating the supper I was in chip shop fish supper delight.I recommend this chip shop, the locals are very fortunate to have this chipshop in Huntly.***There was a 40 foot truck delivering to the chipshop, so perhaps from another direction larger vehicles can get near the chip shop. Though check the height restriction of the railway bridge, the fact the bridge is on a tight bend if you are coming from the East entry into Huntly.***

Always decent food from here & good service

Staying at the caravan park, on a very wet night and did not fancy cooking - short walk to the chippy (about 10-15mins from the caravan park) - and delicious food, with fast friendly service.

Avoid - WORST chipper we have ever had, frozen with batter already on it (so cooked twice) chewy inside and batter was inedible. Hygiene practice was terrible, one member of staff on her phone then straight to cut fish then put on a pair of gloves (no washing hands in-between) Another member of staff had her hands full of rings (knowing how to work in a kitchen myself you are not allowed jewlery apart from a plain wedding band)

They forgot to put salt and vinegar on one of our meals, batter was crunchy but not particularly tasty, not bad but not great

We were very grateful for a delivery service to the local caravan park where we were staying. Lovely fish and chips delivered quickly and with a smile. Thank you.

This chipper is amazing and fish was amazing glad we have this wee gem so close to us only 20 minutes from our home and worth the visit. Found out they also deliver so will definately be back soon as really tasty food and service and staff really friendly and accommodating during this pandemic and trying times.

Up there with the best, I've had fish suppers all over Scotland and this is one of the best, cracking portion,cracking fish, cracking service 👍

On holiday we bought a fish supper here for the whole family. The chips have to be the worst I have ever had. Dried up and chewy. We were early customers and clearly these were yesterday’s reheated. A shame because the reviews were good and we had been looking forward to our post lockdown treat.

Food was decent but bought a few meals for some hungry workers and although was asked whether I'd like salt and vinegar, never received any of either on all the meals.

Loved it. Got the smoked sausage supper special. My favourite for £3.30

Never had a bad experience with the food I have purchased from Huntly Chip shop. I actually travel over 20 minutes to use it as their quality far exceeds the chip shop I have in my local area. A mention should also be given to the staff who I have always found very helpful friendly and always try their best to wrap my food in foil to keep it warm on the journey home.

Red pudding was not cooked properly and chips nowadays are a hit or a miss.

This was a wee gem on the way to Aberdeen, the place was clean and tidy, the staff were quick at serving us, it was really busy, sign of a good place I think, the mince pie supper was good and my poke of chips was great too

Rather unexpectedly, having not been there for some time, the fish was coated in a wonderful crisp Tempura like batter. All together a great experience.

Wonderful food and delivered in a timely manner. The fish and chips are worth the visit as the batter is crisp and the fish very tasty.

Great at lunchtime , lunch menu £3 for a supper , recommend the chicken fillets and curry sauce, only gripe is you used to get 4 fillets, good service, friendly staff.

Absolutely awesome chip shop, they even have vouchers which came in handy for a Fathers Day Gift, everyone deserves a treat. 🙂 Friendly staff.

This is a traditional chip shop serving all the usual fried products plus pies and burgers, All products are cooked well usually while you wait Parking is easy in the road outside the shop

Long established chip shop in Huntly , food was cooked to order was very good quality, batter was crisp and dry , chips were excellent, other chippers could take a few lessons here , staff were nice and friendly order only took about 10 minutes , which is about the cooking time for fish

I was very disappointed when i arrived at this chip shop on thursday21st nov.4pmplace was closed.i thought by 4pm they would have been open..what really annoyed me more than it being closed was as far as i could see no ticket on any of windows saying their opening time.surely wouldnt take much to put a notice on window.

Was here on Monday 9th September asked for 2fish suppers both fish were reheated chips were at there worst I think it's best to have fish near the end of the week

We had two take-aways on seperate evenings. Delightful fish the first night and a home baked pizza on the second night. The pizza was one of the best we have ever eaten and on both evenings we were served by Jodie a delightful lady.

Having recently moved to the area I have tried this chip shop a few times. The menu is extensive, prices are in line with most chip shops. The food was well cooked and enjoyable. There is on street parking so easy to get too.

After a supermarket shop we called for a quick fish n chip supper. Have to say best we've had for a long time. Nice size portion of fish perfectly cooked, batter crispy and light and all straight from the fryer. Will be back.

I had a chicken fillet supper The chips were good but the chicken was cut from big breasts of chicken which weren't pleasant to eat with the size of them and they were also very dry inside The staff were very friendly and helpful
