Huntingtower Hotel in Perth & Kinross

DON’T BOTHER! We booked for lunch today at the Huntingtower Hotel. I came here a lot during childhood and was always impressed by the food and service. On this occasion though we were highly disappointed and want to warn others. We were met but 3 young waitresses who couldn’t be bothered and taken to a table. No other customers in sight. The once great menu and food options at a high quality have now changed to very very basic lunch menu with limited options. Aka burger or macaroni cheese. We then waited at least 30 minutes+ for food. Overall if you expect anything like it was that place has died. If you are looking for a nice lunch- McDonalds is far superior with much more appropriate prices. DON’T BOTHER!

Our meal was poor, we should have sent it back. Prawn cocktail, one served with mixed leaves and one served only with red cabbage like leaves. Balmoral chicken was very poor. whole dish was tasteless and very unappealing in appearance. Haggis stuffing was very pale and tastleless, texture not at all like haggis. Clapshot was not clapshot.........it was just very mushy mash, clapshot should be fluffy mash with chives and seasoning etc.. Whisky sauce tasteless. Veg was ok. We did mention to waitress about the prawn cocktail, We also told waiter who collected dinner plates that food wasn't very good. I thought this might have been fed back to kitchen or restaurant manager, however I don't think this happened. Staff were not around when we left the restaurant so we didn't complain. If we hadnt been really hungry we would not have eaten the food.......... Breakfast was ok, staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was good, and we have stayed before so we expected better dining experience. We would probably stay again, however would not eat there.

My wife and I stayed here on a 2 night stay along with 2 other couples as part of a mini break to Scotland.First impressions were that the hotel needed just a little TLC to bring it up to scratch.Reality however was the hotel represents really good value and the food offering at dinner was actually very tasty and breakfast was ok too.One gripe was that the hotel boiler / water heating system simply cannot cope with anything approaching full occupancy with water during ‘ peak ‘ period, around 5.00 - 6.00pm, luke warm at best.We did bring this to the attention of the duty manager on our first night who promised to resolve the problem however it was exactly the same on our second evening.Notwithstanding this issue the hotel is quietly situated and a good base from which to explore the Perth / wider area

My friend and I stayed at the hotel last night in Room 202. We booked it on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate to have a girlie catch up. The room was amazing, large and plenty of amenities. Dinner was delicious. All staff were great, especially Cat (on Reception) she went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay from giving us directions to a walk to even providing me with a stamp and posting a card which is forgot to post. We’ll definitely be back, THANK YOU.

When we were allocated our room for one night stay it was a double that was the smallest double I’ve ever stayed in! The air conditioning unit was bellowing out outside the window, there was no view as it looked out onto a roof which had a beer can and a dead bird outside the window! We asked to be moved as my husband is a light sleeper and the noise outside was too much. We were told there were no other rooms and the noise should stop at 10pm, which it did. On the way out to breakfast we found a bag at our door which had a continental breakfast each!! We had a cooked breakfast in the dining room and use the bag for our lunch on the road! The hotel grounds need a good tidy , masks and papers dotted around the grounds. Not sure I’d stay again

Beautiful hotel but quite frankly all fur coat and no knickers! Don’t let the beautiful drapes and tartan carpet fool you. Corners are cut left right and centre. We were given a superior one bed suite (a lodge in the garden) Dirty fan in bathroom, hot water had to run for 20 minutes before I could run a bath due to the rust coloured water coming out. Carpet in room reminding me of my first flat when a mate laid the carpet for free. 40 minute wait at breakfast before our order was taken and a shrug of the shoulders when I asked to order as we had a five hour drive ahead of us. Paper napkins and cash and carry condiments still in plastic sachets at dinner. It’s such a shame because the house and gardens are truly breathtaking but unfortunately the budget business model is over powering!

Stayed 1 night. Enormous palaver getting booked for only 1 night instead of 2. Hotel seemed woefully understaffed so took ages to get drinks ordered. Meal was borderline comical - prawn cocktail served in a hot (not warm; hot) bowl, forgot our wine bottle, underseasoned lamb, chewy steaks. Breakfast was supposed to start with a continental breakfast delivered to your door. They forgot ours, then delivered 2 pain au Chocolat that had been microwaved in their plastic wrap, so were sweaty and limp. When we got the cooked breakfast, the scrambled eggs were inedible and the hash brown somehow limp but uncuttable. Room itself was comfortable enough, but had a radiator that couldn't be switched off and no spare plug socket by the bed for phone charging. Bathroom had a shower that was far too powerful for the tiny cubicle, with mould on the ceiling and water damage from an earlier leak. The cold water also had to be run for 3 minutes to come down from bath temperature. You'd be accused of over-egging it if you scripted this.

So we checked in for 2 nights and was told we were in a cottage on the grounds. The guy showed us where it was then legged it. We now know why. It was AWFUL. We had a bedroom, living room and bathroom which sounds amazing. Amazing it was not. As you can see by the photos it was like a 1980’s funeral home in the living room. Who the hell would voluntarily sit in there? It was like a poor old lady’s house and she’s died and no one had bothered to empty it properly. The walls were all marked and dirty. Peeling wallpaper in the porch and a family of spiders to keep us company. The carpets were laid by Stevie Wonder about 20 years ago. I couldn’t walk to the bathroom without wearing shoes. The bathroom shower seal was absolutely black. Not stained, loose dirt. And hadn’t been wiped in literally months. I wouldn’t be surprised if a new covid variant was found under that seal. The next day we had the pleasure of the waste lorry right outside the room at 8.45. The smell was truly the most horrid thing I’ve ever smelt. Also the food delivery truck comes at 7 right outside the cottage so if you’re a late sleeper I suggest requesting a room in the hotel. Anyway we asked for another room which was declined. But was offered a free meal in the hotel that night and since we were going to eat there anyway we accepted however I didn’t accept there wasn’t a room available for our second night. We did get moved into the hotel the next day and that room was lovely. It was clean, nicely decorated and I was very happy to walk around with bare feet. The only thing is it’s an old building and you hear every step the room above you makes. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty enough but my chicken breast was tiny, it wasn’t a breast, it was a quarter of one battered flat. We got the cheese plate with stacks of cheese but only 3 crackers! No matter, we asked for more and got them. Breakfast on the first morning was good, there’s a lot of moans on here about the continental being delivered to your door but I liked that as we were awake at 5am and was hungry. We went for our hot breakfast at 9. Next day breakfast was quite frankly a disaster. The only good thing about it was the poached eggs. We waited 30 mins to have our order taken then another 35 mins to have it brought to us. It was busy but put more staff on…. Simples. I got poached eggs on toast and got 1 slice of toast, asked for more and that was fine. So all in we were sat at the breakfast table 1 hr 20 mins. An experienced staff member would have been good to sort out the young lads running around like fly’s. Also it was roasting in there and considering we are still in a pandemic and every table was taken I would have expected some windows to be open for ventilation. The grounds are lovely but nothing in walking distance to go to. All in we won’t be back.

Beautiful Hotel, stunning location. Shame the Bar/ Restaurant service didnt match. Plus, if you can serve Meals in the evening in the restaurant, why are you not able to serve breakfast?? Bag of continental items outside your door, then 1 hot roll only?? Very poor option

Beautiful surroundings and building,,, We stayed in a room designed for disabled, which we asked for, and couldn't have asked for more. There were patio doors which gave a second access to the room which also had a perfect ramp from the rear car park to the room. All staff were very professional but also very friendly and warming towards us. We couldn't have asked for more and hopefully if we visit the area again, we will definitely will be booking this hotel x

Just had a one night stay at this nice hotel in beautiful surroundings with great walks. Would recommend for short peaceful break. Staff very friendly and efficient in trying circumstances due to Covid restrictions. Ate in restaurant and had very ice fish and chips.

Great secluded location just outside Perth. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are large and very clean. Special care is evident for Covid cleaning. Plenty parking and lovely walks right outside.

Nos fuimos después de una estancia de 2 días en el Hotel Huntingtower.Estaba muy emocionado de quedarme aquí después de escuchar excelentes críticas, pero tengo que decir que estábamos increíblemente decepcionados.Para empezar, el proceso de reserva en sí era ridículo, tomó más de 20 minutos en el teléfono reservar una habitación y en un número de tarifa premium. . .Al llegar, el hotel está ubicado en una hermosa ubicación en un terreno impresionante, pero nos decepcionó que nuestra habitación no estuviera muy limpia, marcas en el radiador, en el baño y maquillaje en las manijas de las puertas, la cama estaba mal hecha, las sábanas no metido correctamente y 2 de las bombillas estaban apagadas.Para la cena, comimos de su menú muy reducido (hamburguesas, macarrones con queso, curry o ensalada César). Comí una ensalada que estaba por debajo de la media con pollo recocido y tocino empapado. También nos decepcionó que el bar solo estuviera abierto entre las 3 pm y las 9:30 pm, por lo que a la mañana siguiente ni siquiera pudimos tomar un vaso de agua o una taza de té, aparte de tener uno en nuestra habitación en los vasos de papel proporcionados.Entiendo que Covid ha impedido el servicio normal, pero nuestra experiencia fue definitivamente mucho menor que el 4 estrellas que esperábamos.

Una estancia muy decepcionante en casi todos los aspectos, salvo por el personal que fue amable y servicial, aunque necesitaba formación y estaba claramente limitado por los niveles superiores de gestión y la "política de la empresa".Después de haber reservado 2 noches en una suite junior en línea, me informaron posteriormente por correo electrónico que el desayuno se limitaría a un desayuno continental (y me informaron a la llegada que se entregaría a las 6 am) y la cena sería un menú de bar limitado. Como sucedió a pesar de que cené a las 8. 15 pm cada noche, el menú limitado del bar se redujo aún más con el anuncio de que la cocina se había quedado sin platos tan comunes como sopa, pescado con patatas fritas, pollo y ensalada. y he comido mejor en las estaciones de servicio de las autopistas La comida que se sirvió era de muy mala calidad Aparte del jabón, el dormitorio no tenía artículos de tocador y ni siquiera tenía pañuelos de papel, mientras que la suite estaba esterilizada y carecía de calidez y comodidad. Cómo este hotel tiene una calificación de 4 estrellas está más allá de la comprensión y la gerencia está claramente tratando de ocultar sus deficiencias detrás de la apariencia de Covid 19.

Pasamos hoy por una taza y esperamos un bollo o incluso un trozo de mantequilla.Sin suerte.No vengas aquí a tomar el té si esperas un buen regalo para acompañarlo.Pedimos antes de sentarnos afuera y nos dijeron que debíamos pagar primero.Comprensible, simplemente no transmitido de la manera correcta por el personal.No creo que mi madre de 89 años fuera a hacer un corredor.No volveré corriendo.Sin cojines en los asientos al aire libre, pintura gastada en el hotel. . . .Solía ser un hotel encantador en los viejos tiempos.

En primer lugar, gracias a Eunice, Briony y todo el equipo por su eficiencia, bienvenida y excelente servicio, esta es nuestra tercera estadía aquí y tan buena como antes a pesar de las restricciones de Covid. El hotel es cómodo, agradable y está gestionado de forma eficiente de arriba a abajo. Gracias también a Eunice y Briony por resolver los problemas relacionados con el desayuno antes de nuestra llegada y por hacer que nuestro 50 aniversario fuera tan especial. También hay que mencionar al personal de cocina por las excelentes comidas que se sirven tanto en calidad como en sabor. Todos los camareros eran amables, informativos y eficientes también. A pesar de las restricciones de Covid, el hotel cumplió en todos los aspectos y esperamos volver a visitarlo tan pronto como podamos. Muchas gracias a todos, una joya escondida que vale la pena visitar.

Acabo de regresar de otra encantadora estancia de 2 noches. Nos alojamos en la habitación 402, de buen tamaño y bien decorada. Cómoda cama super king. El único inconveniente fue el ruido de la habitación de arriba,Estamos en el restaurante la primera noche. Trabajando desde el menú de la barra solo que en los tiempos actuales es comprensible. El personal está trabajando muy bien con las pautas actuales de Covid, la comida era muy sabrosa. Comí lasaña, que es la mejor que he probado.Desafortunadamente, no hay desayuno caliente, pero le entregaron una bolsa de artículos continentales en su puerta. Pedimos que no nos llevaran el desayuno esta mañana, ya que no tenía sentido que se desperdiciara.Todo el personal es encantador y no pudo hacer más, regístrese con Eunice y Vera como siempre rápido y amable.Ya estamos deseando que llegue nuestra próxima estancia pronto. Las habitaciones son bastante viejas y no les vendría mal un arreglo, pero las camas son muy cómodas. Y dejar un cuenco para perros y algunas golosinas para nuestros peludos compañeros fue un buen toque.En consideración, creemos que llegamos demasiado pronto después del cierre. Las comunicaciones previas a la llegada eran inexistentes y descubrir solo a la llegada que solo teníamos la opción de un desayuno continental fue bastante decepcionante, pero el equipo manejó la situación de manera profesional, lo que está a su favor. La limpieza era definitivamente cuestionable y necesita ser revisada. . . .Comimos en el hotel pero no puedo recomendarlo, siento decirlo

Durante nuestra estancia en el hotel, decidimos cenar en nuestra habitación, ya que habíamos tenido un día largo y el servicio de habitaciones parecía un buen regalo; no podíamos haber estado más equivocados.La comida se preparó en otro lugar y luego se calentó en el microondas o se frió antes de servir (esto fue confirmado por un miembro del personal). ! ! ! ! ! !La comida estaba demasiado cocida (frita) o tibia (calentada en el microondas). Y para agregar a este insulto, la comida se servía en platos de papel y en cajas, y los precios eran muy altos.En serio, no tengo idea de por qué ofrecen comida; ninguna opción de comida hubiera sido preferible.Nada de esto se compartió en el momento de la reserva. . . . solo una desgracia?

Writing this on last night of our 4 night stay. Lovely settings.Great rooms. Fantastic staff and wonderful food. The chef even prepared a different veggie meal for me each night...the beetroot tortellini is to die for. Leaving tomorrow totally relaxed and wishing all the wonderful staff well in these crazy and uncertain times. This was actually part of our honeymoon - hope to be back for our first anniversary next year,if not before.

Literally just home from another stay. This time I visited with my best friend. Arrived and we were swiftly checked in by Vera ( amazing nails). Room 201, twin room which was a good size, comfortable and cosy. We had a cocktail in the bar before getting ready for dinner. Dinner was really nice and the staff, Skye, Nelson and Douglas looked after us very well. A fantastic night's sleep, breakfast again was very tasty. Check out at mid day is a very welcome bonus. Looking forward to our next visit already .. xxx

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea which we had been given by our Granddaughter for Xmas. It was originally supposed to be for lunch but the staff very kindly let us use if for afternoon tea. We were given a cup of soup whilst we waited, which was really tasty. Sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a nice selection of cakes. Very enjoyable afternoon.

Arrived for an overnight stay as it was my friends birthday.We were given an upgraded room which was lovely and roomy.The food at dinner was delicious and breakfast next day was just as good.The staff were very attentive and courteous.Overall stay was great and I would definitely recommend and return

Stayed at Huntingtower Hotel for a romantic overnight. We booked on a DBB package which was a great deal price wise.Location: Hotel is great both for walkers and those driving. Hotel is about a 8min drive into city centre. We spent the afternoon in Perth centre having lunch then drove to hotel. Which is straight road. I wouldn't image it would cost much in a taxi for those using transport. Welcome: reception staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were checked in with speed and offered help with out bags. Which we declined as our room was right next to reception anyway.Room: room 402 on ground floor near reception. Immaculately clean and presented. Modern interior. Plenty tea/coffee facilities etc. Also a note stating you can ask reception for fresh milk rather than the uht milk.The only thing missing was a clock/alarm clock. No sockets next to bed so had to charge phone elsewhere. Meaning I had to get out bed to check time. But this is just a minor inconvenience. We also had children In room above us and a baby across hall. This did disturb our sleep as the children ran up and down from very early. We are parents ourselves so we do not feel a need to complain about these things but on a romantic break it would have been nice to have got a break from kids in general . Next time I might request a room with no children around.Bar/Restaurant: Bar staff are amazing. The girl went out her way to chat to us, make sure we were happy and content. We had table service , meaning never having to get up for our drinks. Plenty of cocktails and a great supply of gins, rums etc .They serve bar nibbles if you feel peckish.Restaurant is beautiful and held in the original part of the house. They truly have kept as many of the original features as possible. Again staff were very attentive. We had a lovely girl Christina served us all night and chatted with us between courses. Meal itself was outstanding. All three courses were faultless.Even if you dont chose the DBB package the meals are not overpriced. 3 courses for £28. Ground: there is a lovely walk around the property outside. We had the added bonus of some snow. While walking there is lovely lodges which are part of hotel and again alot of original features steeped in history such as the lamp posts. All in all we will definately return to his hotel. We enjoyed every aspect. The only suggestion I had to reception staff was some information about the hotels history in the room would be great. She did inform me they are in middle of having something like this in place.

I booked 44 folks from our walking club in for a pre-Christmas lunch. Arriving back at the hotel after a 5-mile walk, everyone was feeling like a good meal. Everyone had pre-ordered their meals and the hotel delivered everyone's choice with efficiency and courtesy. I checked with the diners, and they all enjoyed their choices of one from five starters, five mains and five puds. I heard nothing but praise for the food and service. Having organised the lunch, I left very happy that everyone was satisfied with the meal and impressed by the hotel, the food and the service.

From arrival at reception to checkout we could not fault this hotel at all. Friendly helpful cheery receptionist( Briony) upgraded to the executive deluxe suite. WOW. Huge room with a super comfy bed. Sofa and wing back chairs. Lovely bathroom with gorgeous roll top bath and separate shower. Booked dinner in the restaurant, seated at the window near the crackling open fire. Food was perfect I had chicken and it was melt in the mouth. Pavlova an winter berries was delish and light. Undisturbed sleep was bliss. From someone who never gets a full night sleep it was very welcome.Breakfast was very nice andmy poached egg was perfect. Mid day checkout is a bonus after breakfast I went back to bed for an hour. Already looking at dates for a return visit I can see it becoming our new favourite get away. Took brother into see the hotel, I'd stayed their previously, we had intended having coffee, but the girl persuaded us to have scones too, well worth it, and dog friendly too!

The bar food here is a little limited - you won't find a salad for example.The food is of a good quality but the restaurant with its open fire is worth the difference in price. £25 wish for 2 courses so not cheap. Friendly service but a little short of staff.

Reservamos un par de noches para una reunión con viejos amigos de todo el país. Éramos dos parejas y una soltera en be & be base. Nuestra habitación estaba bien, pero era un poco pequeña y la cama no era de nuestro gusto con un colchón muy suave. La otra pareja también tenía una habitación doble que era un poco más grande que la nuestra, pero a pesar de tener dos ventanas que daban al terreno, su vista estaba obstruida en ambas ventanas por la estructura del techo sobre la entrada del hotel. La mujer soltera tenía una enorme habitación doble en la parte superior de la escalera principal, eso fue realmente fantástico.

Tuvimos una estancia encantadora en el Leonardo Boutique Huntingtower Hotel. El hotel es hermoso y ofrece un encantador ambiente tradicional escocés. La habitación estaba limpia y bien equipada con té y café disponibles. El personal era muy servicial. Un miembro del equipo de Alimentos y Bebidas hizo todo lo posible para que nos pusieran una mesa junto al fuego para tomar una copa después de cenar. Disfrutamos mucho la cena. Las porciones no son enormes, pero la comida es de muy buena calidad.

this is an excellaent hotel set in its own grounds with 100 car parking space highly recomened and well worth a visit first class servce

Went for a meal as was staying at lodges for a wedding ...the food was first class and staff were so welcoming and pleasant...really makes me want to come back for a longer stay as I know there are some good walks and cycle tracks from hotel

This was our last hotel in a week away, making it our 5th Hotel. We would put this 4th out of 5. Although a good location and the room was large and clean the service in the restaurant and bar was slow and inefficient. The evening menus was varied and not over priced. All in all a good hotel but needs to either provide more staff for serving and or the staff they have become more efficient. E.G there was always dirty tables and the waiting staff would just keep walking past without clearing a table.

Nice Scottish themed hotel with easy access from the A9 and M90. Quality rooms and food was the right balance between fine dining and portion size / value. Very friendly, polite and attentive staff. I know it's a matter of taste but let down by the generic offerings at the bar with not a Scottish ale in sight. Boddingtons, Stella and Strongbow - really? But would certainly recommend.

The hotel has quite a bit of character and slightly out of town. We only stayed 1 night and it wasn’t the most comfortable. The room was very small and it was just a double bed. We are used to a king size. Not only that but the bed was very soft and every time someone moved the bed would wobble like a jelly. Although I told the receptionist my wife was disabled the room she gave us had a shower in the bath which is well nigh impossible for someone disabled. However the room was clean and the breakfast was ok. Staff were quite friendly. I would consider staying again but in a different room.

Stay here two nights and really enjoyed the stay. Friendly staff and good quality food. Hotel has plenty of character. We also are here. Only one comment for an improvement was the evening meal portion sizes.

Fantastic hotel , lovely stay made better by friendly staff, rooms clean and presented beautifully.

Firstly we were a large party, all rooms were fabulous. Comfortable and very well equipped. The only slight issue was the lack of fans in the hotel. Rooms were unusually hot as Perth experience some freakishly warm weather. This I stress is out of the norm.

A well visited Resteraunt for me. Recently changed hands, so I was interested to see any changes. Fortunately it's still a very pleasant place to dine. Nice quality menu served by excellent staff. Good parking and facilities.

We were staying in the lodges but sought some relief from that in the restaurant of the hotel. The meal was excellent as were the staff. It had been a good number of years since we last were in the hotel but it was good to see it was still as good as we had remembered it despite its many reincarnations during that time.

I have just spent two nights staying in room 404,the accessible room at the Huntingtower Hotel in Perth. I've stayed here at least 6 times in the last two years. I choose to stay here over any other hotel in the area - I've tried several.

We have stayed here several times. The rooms, staff and food are just lovely! It’s in a beautiful location too. Highly recommended!

Checked in on Friday 3rd for two nights. Rooms very very basic and tired . Restaurant staff where excellent as was the food, like to mention William the restaurant manager, you are a true professional and made us both feel very very welcome.

Two night stay in a superior room excellent 412 warm ,quiet, super clean ,large bathroom with plenty of hot water and really comfy beds.ate both nights in the restaurant menu small but tasty and well presented.loved the seafood cocktail and the cod main course.the hotel is lovely in nice surroundings and is kept to a high standard and the staff are excellent.

Where do we start have been to this hotel on several occasions booked table for7.30 arrived at about 7 had a drink in the lounge which they got wrong not a big deal 7 15 told our table was ready and we could go through to dine ordered our starter and main course 15 minutes later waitress asked if we would like a roll no brown rolls only white said that would be ok then she forgot the butter another 15 minutes later waitress came back and was told they had ran out of salmon asked if we would like anything else asked if we could have our starter no success half an hour later still no starter after waiting for an hour to be served decided to leave.

El desayuno era realmente bueno, con una gran selección de opciones saludables, que incluyen pescado fresco escocés como arenque y abadejo ahumado, que son un excelente comienzo del día. El personal fue excelente, amable, servicial, servicial y dispuesto a reírse con los huéspedes. . . No podía culparlos en absoluto. El precio de una habitación familiar por una noche con un excelente desayuno era de menos de 100 libras, buen valor en mi opinión. Muy recomendable.

La oferta de 2 noches de viaje con nuestros padres de edad avanzada para un pequeño descanso fue fantástica, mejorada por el personal del hotel, desde la recepción hasta el jardinero, todos amables, atentos, considerados y serviciales, pero nada en absoluto.

Si bien el exterior del hotel parece estar haciendo algo con un poco de refresco, ofrece una relajante sensación de casa de campo para nuestra estancia. Excelente ubicación cerca de la autopista y del acceso a Perth y, sin embargo, en un entorno de campo tranquilo. Este es un hotel que trabaja arduamente para brindar un alto nivel de servicio y el personal fue amable, servicial y eficiente. Un problema inicial con la habitación se resolvió rápidamente y sin problemas. El dormitorio era cómodo y tenía una casa de campo escocesa. La cena en el restaurante era excelente y el desayuno era de alta calidad. El personal de recepción y de espera necesita una mención especial, ya que trabajó arduamente para ofrecer un buen servicio centrado en el cliente. Una pequeña crítica sería rechazar la música que se reproduce en el restaurante durante la cena y el desayuno.

Por especificación, fuimos a una comida de bar y tuvimos una experiencia tan buena que ahora estamos planeando un fin de semana. Todo el personal fue muy amable, le dieron la bienvenida a nuestro perro con los brazos abiertos también (y galletas para perros). Los alrededores eran relajantes y cómodos. La comida era deliciosa, teníamos las tiras de pollo cubiertas con miel y mostaza. Los terrenos son muy atractivos para pasear. Estoy ansioso por volver.

We were given a voucher for Christmas for over night stay. The hotel is quite old. Staff friendly. We upgraded our room. Room was clean and comfortable. My husband & I had dinner the night before which was excellent.

I had always thought that this establishment was for meals only until someone recommended to my husband stating they did nice coffee & cakes. We decided to give it a try & were not disappointed we had coffee, tea & scones. They scones were home baked & nice the cream & jam were delicious. The staff were welcoming & friendly and the hotel had a nice relaxing atmosphere. I will return, maybe for evening meal

Stayed as part of weekend away with partner for one night. Beautiful tucked away location around 10 minutes from centre of Perth in its own grounds and away from main road. Warm friendly check in which was easy and efficient, room was clean, tidy and cosy with comfy bed and big bathroom with bath and shower. Wonderful peaceful surroundings and spent a few hours in the seating area outside the bar happily drinking and reading the papers, whiling away the hours relaxing. Evening meal was 2 or 3 course selection deal with good choice and food was lovely. Only slight fault as an observation from the evening is staff looked a bit inexperienced in table etiquette and efficiency ( we were at a four person table and only the two of us, cutlery that wasn’t used not taken away, finished drinks not taken away etc) perhaps needs an experienced hand to guide but all in all they were warm, friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after. Breakfast was lovely, good choice and selection with staff efficient and well drilled to get round busy breakfast tables. All in all a good stay and would return.

Have had the pleasure to visit here 3 times in last year & loved it every time. Now I believe, known as the Leonardo, this lovely but tired hotel has been beautifully updated/upgraded recently. Sumptuous surroundings both inside and out. Have been here for a leisurely lunch, indulgent afternoon tea and dinner - not all on the same day!. Food is absolutely lovely and fresh. Definitely more than a cut above others in the area. Not overpriced either - good value for money. The elegant interiors add to the special atmosphere. Menu is varied and delightfully different, especially for dinner. Service is friendly and staff knowledgeable. Bar offers wide range of gins etc & bar staff again are knowledgeable about new trends.

Stayed for one night as a wee break away from home.

I have visited the restaurant with my Family. The staff was friendly, the food very enjoyable, and a good selection of whiskey. On top of all that, the ambiance of the room fits well with the composition of the menu. I highly recommend this place.

Staff were excellent and very obliging, courteous and friendly throughout the visit. Special thanks to Christina, Ross and Stuart who couldn't have been more helpful. Ate in the hotel 3 out of 4 nights and standard of food was superb. The rooms were clean, comfortable and warm (very cold spell of weather) and the bathroom had a powerful shower - something a lot of hotels lack. Wifi speed was very good.

Stayed when visiting friends locally plenty parking excellent rooms very friendly and helpful staff not just my view but when talking to other guests in morning they commented on the staff as well

Christmas treat for our Christmas Day hosts.

This well established time tested hotel full of the ambiance christmas should hold was very welcoming the staff - few though they were on the buffet side of the seasonal festivities were courteous and friendly. The downside however was that we were booked for 2pm and the buffet had been on the go from 12.30pm so yes you guessed it - food was running out and with few staff to notice and act well in advance of the soup terrine standing empty and no pigs in blankets available for 20 minutes was to the say the least - unacceptable and mis-managed. Dirty plates and cutlery sat on tables for quite some time too before cleared. Not what you would expect from this olde worlde long established venue. The food we had was ok not overly hot on the hot dishes and the portion size of the eton mess for instance was minute'. Very disappointing for some of our family while some managed - luckily to get everything they wanted.

We met yesterday at Huntingtower for a catch up with family.

Our Walking Group from the local U3A used the hotel car park as the starting and finishing point for a 5 mile walk on a cold, crisp December day. By prior arrangement, the hotel looked after us following the walk and served an excellent three-course festive lunch. I had a generous helping of smoked salmon followed by a traditional turkey plate and ending with sticky toffee pudding. I enjoyed everything!

Overall my stay was pleasant. The rating would’ve been higher, but there were a few points below that ultimately dragged the score down.

Very nice food and surroundings in the conservatory- Very friendly staff - Only one problem a bit slow with the service

Just back from yet another stay at this lovely hotel. We had a lovely room and comfortable bed with nice clean cotton sheets. Our room wasn't ready for us on arrival but We were a bit early and the very helpful receptionist Amelia arranged for a complimentary drink from the bar. We sat in the bar area and ordered sandwiches and a portion of chips and bottle of Prosecco all was good. We booked for evening meal my starter wasn't great but the steaks we had were fab, however, the hand cut chips weren't edible we did complain and were offered more but we decided not to have them as both portions were black at the ends like old potatoes. We thoroughly enjoyed what we had. Breakfast was a let down the scrambled eggs were cold and I have to say a rather small portion I sent it back but I wasn't impressed with what I got the chef must have stuck it under a grill as the top was hard. We will be back as we really love this hotel and the cosy atmosphere. I guess everyone has an off day.

Dit hotel is omgeven door mooie tuinen en straalt vooral rust uit. Het gebouw en de inrichting is typisch schots en gezellig traditioneel. Kamers zijn best ruim. Wifi is gratis. Grote parking in het domein.

I took a gamble to stay here without doing much research and it was brilliant. Myself and my family had been travelling around Scotland all week and thought it would be a nice change from the usual premier inn. Location excellent. 5-10 minutes from Perth and it suddenly goes to quite countryside where the hotel is located. Food was good and even though it was a bit pricey you got what you paid for. People may have had things go wrong with their stay but only a fool would think that it can never happen. Most importantly if there was a problem they would sort it and they made sure they expressed that if we required anything then we just have to ask. They would lend items if you forgot them etc. I could go on but the main thing is that if you want somewhere quite with nice atmosphere, rural area with helpful staff and in a lovely old country house style hotel then you wouldn't be disappointed. O and big shout out to they lovely lady on reception. She was so friendly and made you feel so welcome and are very grateful for her help.

We arrived at the hotel early to prepare for my daughter's wedding.The room was ready for us as I had requested an early arrival if possible.Beautiful hotel and the rooms were lovely.The staff couldn't do enough for us .The wedding went of beautifully and we had a great day.The breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice.Highly recommend this hotel.

I have really mixed feelings about this hotel. We stayed for a wedding and the wedding itself was very well run, wedding food was perfect and evening function was great. The location & function suite were good and for a wedding I would recommend.

Stayed here for business over 4 nights.

The dining room is in an old style country house setting which has a very ice ambience for fine dining. The food is very nice and is well presented .. However we feel the prices are very high end and not sure the food matches up to that price range.

We stayed here on Saturday night. The room was great , as was breakfast the next morning. Highlights , great bed , great food , Gemma and Bryony in reception and William who was serving breakfast in the morning, the room service staff were nice also. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Very comfortable friendly and relaxed hotel excellent facilities with good bathroom; restaurant serves high quality delicious food and the breakfasts will keep you going all day. We enjoyed everything about our stay here.

On our way back to Fife after a few days in Oban, it was lunchtime as we approached Perth. I had remembered seeing the signs for the hotel on our way out and remembered being at a wedding at the Huntingtower Hotel a few decades ago. So we stopped for lunch.

What used to be a excellent hotel is now a bit shabby chic. Good clean rooms but everything just a bit run down. Service in the bar and restaurant is excellent. food very good and the breakfasts set you up for the day. I am told they have just been taken over by Leonardo hotel chain.

Paid 6 months in advance for the bungalow and when we arrived were told this wasn’t available and that the suite would be more than satisfactory. Asked for compensation and was offered a glass of bubbly. Reiterated claim for compensation and that as we are non drinkers this was insufficient. Was offered a £20 discount - making the overall booking more expensive than a direct room booking for the night. Requested a refund in full. The inconvenience caused meant we had a return drive, after a show, without any form of additional compensation for their error.

I have given this hotel 4'stars' mainly because of the helpful staff who were always very pleasant and speedily fixed a leaking radiator for us.

I have been coming here through work for around 4 years now and love the place. It recently changed hands which was a worry but I think there have been improvements for the better (free bottled water, discounts if a hotel chain member). Staff are always extremely friendly and know you by name. The restaurant serves good quality food which again was a worry when Bill the chef for years retired but his replacement is now producing very good food.

Very welcoming, helpful, friendly staff. Upgraded to Honey Moon Suite - spacious room and very clean. Relaxing atmosphere in restaurant and food surpassed expectations. Hoping for a return visit and would recommend to both couples and families alike.

Having been around a few places in Edinburgh for afternoon tea we though we would like to try here as we have been here for other occasions.

We stayed here for one night with toddler. The service was great. The food was very nice. The bathroom was a bit small but for one night it was okay! The room itself was cosy and spacious enough. The service was good but sometimes we had to wait a bit long.

Just home from our 2nd visit to Huntingtower hotel. Highly recommend a stay here - beautiful rooms and delicious food. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and nothing too much bother. I love the fresh flowers at reception and on the tables. New buffet layout very nice too!!

We stayed for 3 nights due to visiting the golf at Carnoustie so didn’t really see much of the Hotel. Reception was lovely and so helpful. We had to leave early in the mornings so they arranged sandwiches and snacks to take with us. Stayed in the superior room and the bed was so comfortable and big and room was very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Had a cooked breakfast with toast. Also choice of cereal, rolls , ham , cheese, yoghurts etc will definitely come back if staying in the area again

We were booked here, through booking. Com, and arrived to be told that there was no reservation. The girl at reception said there had been a prob with reservations from this source. My partner had been on the phone to the hotel the previous night , confirmed the booking, and ordered dinner. After quite a while the unhelpful girl gave in and got us an equally unhelpful manager. He said they were fully booked and we had to look elsewhere. They denied my partner had phoned but , funnily enough, found our dinner booking. Totally disgusted with their customer service skills. We had stayed there previously and had a fantastic time BUT NEVER AGAIN.

Hotel used for special occasions but those attending are noisy and annoying if you are a guest and not with them! Spacious and well appointed lower floor room, Noisy neighbours immediately above practicing the rumba or hop skip and jump throughout the night. Annoying receptionist. Poor choice of beers (other than lager which isn't a beer) in the bar !

Got such a warm welcome from Eunice at the front desk, soon as we arrived. Beautiful country estate feel. Lovely wooden banister. Convivial atmosphere, enjoyable dining experience (thanks Dominika.) Eaton Mess was delicious!!! Wish we could have stayed longer!

I really can't rate the Huntingtower highly enough. We had such a wonderful experience at lunch today. My booking hadn't gone through but they couldn't have been more obliging. They set up a table quickly for us and the food and service were all wonderful. Huge thanks to all the staff for making our Fathers Day so great.

We have been staying at the Huntingtower for over 5 years and always had a good experience . This time the reception staff were as always wonderful and helpful. The meal at night was very good and the food very nice . Great room although a strangely placed toilet. In contrast the breakfast consisted of stodgy porridge, shortage of cheese ham and croissants replenished after 30mins as we left. Tea and toast took ages and the manner of the staff displayed none of the basics of customer service . A definite mood of it’s just a job was evident in contrast with the welcome we have had elsewhere in Scotland. The Hilton at Dunkeld for us next time.we reported this but didn’t get the impression it would change.

We came here with friends for a birthday treat and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. My husband was in a wheelchair so we were not able to use the conservatory which is down a few steps. However, the staff soon set up a table in the dining room for us. The tea arrived with a wonderful selection of food from the dainty sandwiches, the fresh scones with cream and jam and a delicious array of homemade cakes, too many for us all to eat. It was excellent value for money and a very enjoyable experience.
